Structured questionnaires and past literature were used as sources of data. This study used systematic random sampling to select eight major bus terminals from which 324 bus commuters were purposively selected for interview. Correlation and multiple regression models were used to analyze the data collected. The study revealed that trip frequency is positively correlated to the income of commuters with value (0.324)). This implies that as commuters' income increases so also is their bus service accessibility increases. Trip frequency is also found to be negatively correlated to gender with value of (-0.190) which implies that women travel less frequently than men and they also travel shorter distances than men. The study further reveals that women rely more on bus services than men. The regression model also shows that marital status and monthly income are found to be positively significant with P-value of (0.001) and (0.000) at 5% significant level respectively. The study therefore recommends that a public transportation system that is responsive to meet gender differentials in transport needs of commuters should be introduced in Kaduna City.

Indeed risks are frequently playing the same rules, but the nature of project defines the specific risks of the project. The first step in process of risks assessment is identification them. Once risk identification is complete, risk analysis is used to identify the likelihood the risks that have been identified will happen. Thus by using evidence from other research in the area, this study showed the impact of the set of the stages in the risk management process in the construction projects, which were discussed in greater detail in the theoretical aspect of the current study. The findings of the study were revealed the fact that the comprehension of risk and its management has the direct effect of understanding specific issues that involve to the project. In addition to that, the integration of a risk management process at each stage of its stages in construction projects must be oriented to the progress of the project and permeate all areas, functions and processes of the project. In this regard, the most successful project managers maintain open lines of communication throughout their organizations to stay in touch with constituent's needs.

This study explores the queuing model of priority classes adopting pentagon fuzzy number with the inclusions of fuzzy set operations. A mathematical programming method is designed to establish the membership function of the system performance, in which the arrival rate and service rate of the system performance of two priority classes are utilized as fuzzy numbers. Based on -cut approach and Zadeh's extension principle, the fuzzy queues are scaled down to a family of ordinary queues. The potency of the performance measures of the characteristics of the queuing model is ensured with an illustration and its graph.

The quality of education in any educational institute hinges on the availability of good teachers. " Technology won't replace teachers. But Teachers who use technology will probably replace Teachers who do not. " It is important to recognize that, the teachers are becoming more knowledgeable of Information and Communication Technology outcomes (ICTs), they continue to have knowledge or skill with which to integrate those technologies into their teaching. As the twenty-first century approaches, the literate citizen is increasingly expected to use computer technology to access and manipulate information. Knowing how to manage electronic information from an ever-widening array of resources and in proliferating formats is essential. The education system was now witnessing a paradigm shift from the traditional chalk-and-board teaching methodology to digitizing the pedagogical approach through technical devices. A transformation would not only increase the capability of the teachers but would also widen the knowledge base of students so as make them competitive in the international arena. The technology orientation needs to improve in order to equip themselves to face the students belong to the digital era and also to face the challenges in the modern classroom.

Use of synthetic insecticide is the quick method for the control this pest but its uncontrolled usage has resulted in serious lethal effects on non-target organisms and environmental pollution. Botanical insecticides are very effective, safe and ecologically acceptable. In the present study, the impact of methanolic leaf extracts of Clerodendrum infortunatum and Chromolaena odorata on carbohydrate concentration in the haemolymph of sixth instar larvae of O. exvinacea was studied under laboratory conditions. The different concentrations (1% to 5%) of each botanical treated mango leaves were fed to the sixth instar. After 48 hours, larvae were sacrificed to collect haemolymph and the quantitative estimation of carbohydrate has been done. The results showed that there was some noticeable decrease in the amount of carbohydrate in the treated larvae when compared to control. The decrease in level of carbohydrate concentration was correlated with the increase in concentration of botanicals. Among the botanicals tested C. odorata possessed more efficacy than that of C. infortunatum and this experiment reveals the potency of both botanicals to be used as natural biopesticides against this pest.

The methods of spectral, x-ray phase and optical analysis show that the genuine Damascus steel is a high-purity non-alloy high-carbon steel with a high content of phosphorus. It is revealed that phosphorus, having a high segregation coefficient of impurity contributes to the process of segregation of carbon in the process of crystallization of crucible ingots. The main physical and chemical factors influencing morphology of structure formation of genuine Damascus steel are revealed. It is established the relationship between the structure and the nature of the destruction of the genuine Damascus steel under impact load.

But, Sequential Analysis of Statistical science could be adopted in order to decide upon the reliability or unreliability of the developed software very quickly. The procedure adopted for this is, Sequential Probability Ratio Test (SPRT). It is designed for continuous monitoring. The likelihood based SPRT proposed by Wald is very general and it can be used for many different probability distributions. In the present paper we propose the performance of SPRT on 6 data sets of Time domain data using Rayleigh model and analyzed the results. The parameters are estimated using Modified Genetic Algorithm.

The steel industry being highly energy intensive in nature is one the major consumers of energy. ... more The steel industry being highly energy intensive in nature is one the major consumers of energy. The iron and steel industry is the largest energy consuming manufacturing sector in the world. It is therefore that the question of fuel or energy has been of the highest importance in steel making, and one can boldly claim that all other conditions remaining constant, saving or wasting of fuel can make the difference between a profit or a loss of a steel plant. Energy conservation in steel plants is very crucial to ensure the competitiveness of the steel producing industries and to minimise environmental impacts. India's leading iron and steel companies, scored averages at best in Centre for Science and environment green rating test. The Indian iron and steel sector's energy consumption of 6.6 GCal per tonne, is 50 per cent higher than the global best practice. The integrated steel plants in India have the opportunities to strengthen their operations and minimise energy losses and wastages to reduce specific energy consumption by 5-6%. To reduce the gaps between India and developed countries we have to follow the technological advancement and implementation of innovative strategies at every stage of the operation of steel plants. The specific energy consumption in the Indian steel industry is high compared to that in advanced countries. Data for four integrated steel plants in India have been analysed. World crude steel production reached 1.621 million tones (Mt) in 2015. To meet the needs of our growing population, steel use is projected to increase by 1.5 times that of present level by 2050.
