The main function of teaching history is to cultivate the historical consciousness of the pupil as a whole person and to preserve the continuity of historical memory in the sense of transmitting historical experience, whether from a local, regional, national, European or world perspective. The teachers of the first Slovak grammar school, which opened its doors in September 1862, approached the teaching of history with very similar goals. The teaching of history at the secondary school exclusively in the Slovak language was the culmination of several decades of effort by Slovak scholars. Its main goal was to build national awareness also with the help of a thorough knowledge of the history of the Slovaks. The study briefly presents the development of education in the territory of present-day Slovakia with an emphasis on the teaching of history in the Slovak language. Then, with the help of preserved written sources, it examines the form and content of history teaching at the first Slovak grammar school in Revúca, which existed between 1862 and 1874.

By consulting the historical archives of the University of Turin, the Erik Peterson Archive, and the Michele Pellegrino Archive, the article intends to clarify the relations between Erik Peterson and the Turin school of ancient Christian literature in the early 1950s, relations that laid the foundations for the University of Turin’s acquisition of the German scholar’s books and files. Paolo Siniscalco played an important role in this affair: among Pellegrino’s students, he was the one who got to know Peterson best, to whose memory he remained attached even after his death, both scientifically and personally.

CONCERN FOR THE ARCHIVE AND SITUATED PRACTICE OF CONTEMPORARY ART

By applying a concept "concern for the archive", the paper attempts to clarify the complex connections between the medium of the archive and the situated practice of contemporary art. The focus is on contemporary art as a temporary storage memory. I examine the three different artistic approaches: the archive of Tomáš Rafa’s documentary films, the mobile archive of Oto Hudec, and the photographic archive of Lucia Nimcová.
In contemporary art, by concern for the archive I mean working with the complicated temporality of apparatuses representing cultural memory, and I see these practices as alternative returns to unfulfilled beginnings or unfinished projects. In this regard, I refer to Aleida Assmann’s assertion that memory as an artistic creation does not derive from making it accessible and ensuring its reliable usability, rather it is at best therapy after loss, an inventory of loss. Wolfgang Ernst polemicizes with the archive as a place and metaphor of collective memory, looking at the archive in a technological sense, as a mnemonic apparatus governed by strict rules like an administratively programmed system. Ernst notes the conflicting modes of time in an archive that is subject to entropic processes and material decay. Contemporary art can effectively draw attention to the precarious position of the archive between order and chaos. Sven Spieker addresses the threats of destruction, as well as the possible degradation and obsolescence of storage media, all of which affect the transmission of information, using the concept of entropy in relation to the established symbolic order. Finally, it is Ariella Azoulay who articulated the essence of the archive in violence. These theoretical insights led me to the initiative of interpreting selected contemporary artworks as situated practice focused on living communities and as a reflection on the relationships defined by different forms of archive and archiving. I will attempt to answer two key questions: What forms of concern for the archive can we identify in contemporary art? How is concern for the archive different from archival care, and why is it important to distinguish between the two?
In the paper I present three current perspectives on contemporary art projects using the concept of archive. In his Invisible Museum project, Oto Hudec displayed a model of a house serving as a mobile ark, drawing on the narrative notion of the house being a place of the vibrant Romani culture. This box is also a figurative image of the house as a place for the preservation of digitized testimonies about the traditions and contemporary forms of the Romani culture. It opens up a new space, which is not exclusively the presentation of artifacts of the Romani culture, but rather a discourse on the presentation of excluded communities as such, which the state-founded institutions were not able to fully accomplish until then. The potentiality of the Invisible Museum may lie in its aim to establish a hybrid institution that motivates research in the field of cultural studies (subaltern and diasporic cultures) and at the same time tests what contemporary Romani culture can be and how it can be transformed into an active social-critical agent.
Tomáš Rafa’s documentary films are arranged into two units and are accessible to the public as an online archive on two web platforms. New Nationalism. The Documentary Video Archive focuses mainly on the geopolitical space of Central and East-Central Europe, including Germany and Ukraine. It presents an extensive collection of documentary films shot between 2009 and 2019 and depicting events in the public spaces, most often demonstrations and escalated clashes of opinions. Thus, side by side are placed videos recording moments of confrontation and escalated emotions involving various social groups. The second set of documentary films from 2011 to 2022 that focuses on activities in excluded communities by recording painting workshops and The Walls of Sports series can be found on a web platform called Art Aktivista with the subtitle Art Therapy in Social Excluded Locations. In addition to collecting video documentaries, Tomáš Rafa’s online archives are collections of affective gestures captured on video and in photographs, revealing the dark, instinctive interfaces of democracy, where freedom of expression mixes dangerously with expressions of hatred, and protection of the community mixes with racism and ethnic exclusion. The two archives complement each other thematically. While the former traces symptoms, the latter suggests and shows possible solutions.
Lucia Nimcová has long been concerned with the historical and contemporary living conditions of Carpathian Rusyns from the Slovak-Ukrainian border area. In various ways, Nimcová actualizes and situates performative memory in her own documentary work, and at the same time is herself a part of it. The female protagonists of her photographic series are found in obscure circumstances and bizarre environments on the periphery. I approach the reflexivity of her interarchival method through two photographic cycles, Kiss (2006-2007) and Unofficial (2007-2008), noting parallels in her work and that of Michal Moravčík (1974-2016) and his installation Universal (2010). I also discuss the author's book Leftovers (2008-2009), which is devoted to the photographic archive of Marian Kusík. Using photographic archives, Nimcová undertakes a sentimental journey back to the time of her childhood, which she realizes by juxtaposing images captured by regional photographers with her own view of the time, exemplified by the video film Childhood Dream (1988/2010). The photography of Lucia Nimcová leads to the opportunity to capture and process the disappearing traces of the past, imprinted together with irrevocable constraints into archival material, and to discover and identify them in dialogue with the archive. Following these traces, as Nimcová shows, allows us to re-read the social and cultural frameworks into which we were born, to see them in the light of situated continuities and discontinuities.

This  essay  explores  the  area of  contemporary  biography,  i.e.,  biographical  research about living people conducted in the field of historical sciences. A special emphasis is put on oral history and its use in selected biographies, older and recent, which serve as examples of several specificities of this approach. Furthermore, the author finds two ide-al-typical roles that the main protagonist may play in this type of biographical writing, both participative, with the first being relatively “silent” and the second more “vocal.” The essay touches on problems such as negotiating the roles of the researchers and the research subject, authorization, research ethics, current legislation, and the pros and cons of this approach. More broadly, this article aims to widen the range of theoretical and methodological discussion in the field of biography studies. It also illustrates that contemporary oral history-based biographies have a long tradition from which we may draw on for our future projects.

Ogni grande progresso scientifico è scaturito da una nuova audace immaginazione. Il tempo degli audaci L'audacia è una virtù che, con Aristotele, vorrei considerare "media" tra la viltà e la temerarietà. L'esperienza dell'insegnamento, se si guarda la storia della scuola e dei processi educativi, può avere a che fare con l'audacia quando il sistema politico, culturale ed educativo lo rende necessario. Chi dimentica il celebre film L'attimo fuggente e l'audacia del prof. Keating, che pur di permettere ai suoi allievi di esercitare lo spirito critico non esitò a compiere gesti che oggi chiameremmo "di rottura", attirandosi le ire del collegio in cui era stato chiamato ad insegnare? Tutti ricordiamo la scena finale, col gesto trasgressivo degli studenti in piedi sui banchi di fronte al loro maestro cacciato dall'istituto. Non minore audacia si può riscontrare in esperienze forti come quella di don Milani, che nel secolo scorso a Barbiana scommise sulla possibilità che anche i più poveri potessero emanciparsi dall'ignoranza e dalla miseria. Tutt'oggi la sua scuola è emblema della volontà di inclusione che anima molti insegnanti nelle scuole cosiddette "di frontiera". Insomma, un vero caso di audacia educativa raccontata nel celebre Lettera a una professoressa degli allievi di Barbiana. L'elenco potrebbe continuare. Tanti operatori dell'educazione hanno dovuto esibire l'audacia necessaria a rompere schemi routinari e portare una ventata di innovazione. Sembrerebbe soltanto il passato a fornire occasioni di audacia, in ambito educativo e didattico. La scuola tradizionale, almeno fino agli anni Settanta del secolo scorso, ha reso necessarie prese di posizione forti per scardinare assetti autoritari ormai sentiti come intollerabili. The article aims to offer the contribution of a medievalist to an interdisciplinary reflection on memetics. First, memes will be identified as meta-sources, i.e. configurations that make use of new digital practices and languages. Focusing on those memes with connections to medieval history, the contribution will investigate the possible changes brought to the historian's craft by their communicative and didactic use.

La investigación ha tenido como objetivo analizar las percepciones que tiene el profesorado de primaria sobre la niñez migrante. El estudio, efectuado en cuatro establecimientos municipales del Gran Concepción, Chile, utilizó como técnica de recogida de la información una entrevista en profundidad, y en él participaron 20 docentes de ambos sexos que se desempeñan en establecimientos educacionales que han recibido niñez migrante en los últimos dos años. Los resultados indican que las personas migrantes han pasado a ser una preocupación en la escuela y un fenómeno que llegó para quedarse, que en ocasiones divide al profesorado y para el cual considera no estar preparado, dado que la niñez migrante complejiza su trabajo en el aula. Perciben la migración como un proceso más próximo a la realidad de otros países y difícil de comprender, sobre todo para el personal docente más antiguo. No obstante, la investigación demuestra que este valora positivamente el aumento en la matrícula, la posibilidad de hablar de la diversidad en el aula, y de justipreciar la realidad del país y del continente. chi o da che cosa oggi gli adolescenti dovrebbero essere motivati a leggere, magari con interesse e profitto, un testo di letteratura o una vicenda di storia ? Non certamente da qualche docente, non per sua responsabilità, demotivato, annoiato, depresso e, soprattutto mal pagato, o da una decrepita e ammorbante, per non dire pestilenziale, antologia o, ancora, da un obsoleto, soporifero e deprimente manuale di storia. Non crediamo che da questa direzione possa giungere una illuminante e repentina ispirazione o qualche folgorante e determinante motivazione. Ci rimarrebbe sempre il cinema per tentare di allettare e convincere i nostri adolescenti, ma il cinema spesso presentato ai nostri alunni o è cinema preconfezionato, standardizzato e intellettualizzato, a parte qualche rara ed encomiabile eccezione, o è cinema che tradisce la letteratura e la storia. E allora ? Dovremmo darci per vinti come docenti volenterosi e disponibili alle innovazioni e alle sperimentazioni didattiche e dare forfait ? O c'è da qualche parte qualche altra via o modo (metodo) per riacciuffare i nostri sconsolati e incerti adolescenti e giovani quasi isolati, perduti e sperduti in se stessi e nella loro isola che non c'è ? Può ancora la Scuola ragionevolmente sperare di avere una pur minima e fragile possibilità di "riagganciare" adolescenti, abitatori di mondi e realtà che non sembrano più appartenere né alla Scuola né all'Università (già perché il problema comincia a porsi con estrema drammaticità anche all'Università per le radicali ed epocali trasformazioni nella psicologia e nell'antropologia dello studente non solo italiano) ? E' veramente difficile, per non dire rischioso, oggi volersi assumere la responsabilità di indicare e tracciare un sentiero tra le rovine e le macerie che ci circondano e ci sovrastano, ammesso che tale sentiero luminoso esista ancora da qualche parte e che lo si possa poi percorrere fino in fondo in una profonda e buia selva, irta di asperità e di ambiguità. Ma vale la pena almeno provarci in un tentativo che, da parte nostra, è dovuto alle nuove generazioni sempre in attesa, anche quando non lo vogliono ammettere e non lo dimostrano, di un avvenimento o di un evento che rimetta le ali ai loro sogni e speranze, rendendoli protagonisti, al centro del gioco, della realtà e della società. E non a caso utilizziamo la parola "gioco" perché questo concetto e soprattutto la conseguente pratica ludica sembrano coinvolgere, motivare e spingere adolescenti e giovani verso il gusto della vita, della ricerca senza fine e senza scopo, verso un tipo di avventura apprenditiva, protagonistica, esperienziale e non lineare (nel senso di una perdita di un centro di gravità permanente), non necessariamente legata a qualche obbiettivo immediatamente e obbligatoriamente utilitaristico, una dimensione questa che appartiene al mondo produttivistico ed economicistico dell'adulto, intriso di ipocrita etica del lavoro e di rutilanti e scintillanti incubi neoedonistici e neocapitalistici. Anche il nostro potrebbe essere un assunto di partenza illusorio, ma almeno, forse, ci fa sentire più vicini alla realtà onirica e ludica di una parte dei nostri adolescenti e giovani. This study examines motivation and the influence of the learning environment as key factors affecting the academic achievements of students from the Faculty of History at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". A total of 240 students and 16 faculty members participated in the research. Data were collected and analyzed regarding the impact of the university environment on the academic motivation of students enrolled in the following fields of study: 2.2. History and Archaeology, 1.3. Pedagogy of Teaching of ..., and 3.1. Sociology, Anthropology, and Cultural Studies. The study is complemented by a survey of the opinions of lecturers from the faculty to compare their perspectives with students' self-assessments. The findings highlight the need for strategies to enhance academic motivation through improvements in the learning environment, the digitization of educational materials, and the encouragement of student engagement. The results have practical applications for university policies and teaching methodologies in the preparation of students specializing in history-related fields, and more specifically in the Bachelor'

The Historia Vivens project aims to innovate the teaching of history in secondary schools by adopting a narrative and participatory approach based on the use of historical biographies and active methodologies. The workshop, detailed through this paper, was conceptually oriented by social constructivism (Piaget) and gamification. The class was divided into heterogeneous groups based on students' skills in order to stimulate collaborative and inclusive learning. The analysis of the results indicated an improvement in the transversal skills of 80% of students. Il progetto Historia Vivens si propone di innovare l'insegnamento della storia nelle scuole secondarie, adottando un approccio narrativo e partecipativo basato sull'uso di biografie storiche e metodologie attive. Il workshop è stato orientato al costruttivismo sociale (Piaget) e alla gamification. La classe è stata suddivisa in gruppi eterogenei in base alle competenze, per stimolare un apprendimento collaborativo e inclusivo. L'analisi ha mostrato un miglioramento delle competenze trasversali nell'80% degli studenti.

Parecchi anni fa, Peter Skillman, in TED, introdusse una sfida di progettazione chiamata “Marshmellow Challenge”.
Da allora l'esercitazione (meglio sarebbe dire "il gioco") è stata condotta con successo in moltissimi contesti al fine di puntualizzare alcuni aspetti tipici della collaborazione all'interno di un gruppo per vincere una sfida. L'idea è molto semplice. Gruppi di quattro persone devono costruire una torre più alta possibile, che si regga in piedi da sola e utilizzando 20 spaghetti, un metro di nastro adesivo, un metro di spago e un marshmellow posto in cima alla struttura. Il gioco dura esattamente 18 minuti. Ho proposto con successo questo gioco a gruppi di lavoro ed i risultati sono stati entusiasmanti! In questo articolo racconto cosa abbiamo imparato da questo gioco.

O artigo analisa escritos em disciplinas de introdução à prática e estágio em um curso de licenciatura em história, em uma problematização do tempo e da temporalidade. Parte da premissa de que as questões urgentes do presente são condutoras da aprendizagem em história. Tal estratégia, decorrente da produção de planejamentos e de diários dos licenciandos, sustenta-se no tempo futuro como abertura ética da aula de história em sua relação com o mundo. Nesse sentido, foi fundamental o pensamento de Pagès como possibilidade para o planejamento de aulas de história, pautadas nas urgências do presente e de um passado que não passa e que, por isso mesmo, insiste e subsiste na forma de um acontecimento que distribui seus efeitos em um tempo não cronológico e não estabilizado. Publikácia Regionálne dejiny inovatívne, bádateľsky a digitálne predstavuje metodickú príručku pre učiteľov dejepisu základných a stredných škôl, ktorá prepája aktuálny historický výskum s inovatívnymi didaktickými prístupmi. Autorky Katarína Lukáčová a Miriama Svatová sa zameriavajú na využitie regionálnych dejín, konkrétne histórie Košíc v rokoch 1938 – 1945, ako nástroja na rozvoj historického myslenia, kritického čítania a bádateľských zručností žiakov. Príručka ponúka teoretické východiská, metodické odporúčania a desať interaktívnych aktivít, ktoré sú dostupné aj v digitálnom prostredí na portáli LocalHistory.sk. Dôraz sa kladie na prácu s primárnymi prameňmi, multiperspektívnosť, etickú výchovu a formatívne hodnotenie. Publikácia reflektuje potrebu zmeny paradigmy vo vyučovaní dejepisu a ponúka konkrétne nástroje na jej realizáciu v praxi. Je určená nielen učiteľom z Košíc a južného Slovenska, ale aj širšej odbornej verejnosti so záujmom o modernú didaktiku dejepisu.

The publication Regional History Made Innovative, Inquiry-Based and Digital is a methodological handbook designed for history teachers at primary and secondary schools in Slovakia. Authored by Katarína Lukáčová and Miriama Svatová, it introduces a modern approach to teaching history by integrating regional history, inquiry-based learning (IBL), and digital tools. Focusing on the city of Košice during the years 1938–1945, the handbook presents ten interactive activities that encourage students to critically engage with historical sources, develop historical thinking, and explore multiple perspectives. The publication emphasizes the importance of critical reading, source analysis, and empathy through authentic stories and primary documents. It also provides practical guidance for implementing these activities in the classroom and offers a framework for formative assessment. The digital platform LocalHistory.sk complements the handbook with interactive tools and resources. This work aims to support teachers in innovating history education and making it more relevant, engaging, and reflective of students’ local contexts. Selected activities are also available in English to promote broader accessibility and cross-cultural learning.

The article examines a number of written sources (western treatises, royal charters, letters, historical works, Arabic and Persian manuscripts, geographical and nautical maps, etc), which testify about the Bulgarian political and ethnic presence in the Dniester-Carpathian region. Shown is how during different periods the local population was under the rule or in the sphere of influence of the Hungarian Kingdom, the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia, the Golden Horde, and the Bulgarian Tsardom. Some of the adornments found near Voinești, Oțeleni, and Cotnari originate from the area of South Danube and together with the monetary finds present important evidence about the relations of Dniester-Carpathian region with the Bulgarian lands south of the Danube. There are many toponymic, anthroponymic, and linguistic data about the Bulgarian ethnic presence in the lands of Moldova.

Modern historiography has its own epistemological premises. After a lifelong preoccupation with this very subject, the renowned German historian Jörn Rüsen has outlined a theory of history as academic discipline and practice in 2013 which has been widely acknowledged within the field. In this paper, I put its far-reaching claims of, inter alia, finding the historical truth and illuminating historical reason under the microscope of Critical Theory. By criticizing the immanent contradictions of Rüsens proclaimed historical method, its epistemological misconceptions are exposed as being deeply susceptible to ideology, marketed as “true story”. In the end, potential cornerstones of a Critical Theory of history are raised.

Резюме. В статия се представя апробирана концепция за реализиране на два урока по извънкласно четене с ученици от трети и от четвърти клас. Прилага се компетентностният подход, като в дейностите в урока се интегрират знания и информация, изучавани в обучението по различни учебни предмети: изобразително изкуство, човекът и обществото, литература (четене). Възприемат и се анализират визуални изображения (снимка, картина, географска карта), актуализират се знания за владетели от Първото българско царство, както и имена на населени места в Североизточна България. В урока по извънкласно четене се възприемат и анализират фолклорни и авторски текстове от литературния жанр легенда. Действащите лица са с имена на български владетели или в легендите са разказва за природен обект в България (местност, "стъпка на Крали Марко" и др.). Учениците се насърчават да проведат самостоятелна проучвателска дейност, за да опознаят по-добре своя роден край и други части от България.

The text of the study aims to present the results of a content analysis of selected Czech high school and elementary school history textbooks, with the goal of reflecting their focus on the history of interwar daily life in Czechoslovakia. Based on the established data analysis and theoretical framework, the study proposes specific methods for history teachers. These methods aim to introduce new ways of presenting the history of everyday life during the First Republic in teaching, in conjunction with audiovisual didactic media. This includes a selection of Czech films and TV series from 1945 to the present, as well as period and Protectorate‑era
films. The presented audiovisual material aims to expand on topics related to the history of Czech interwar daily life that are mentioned in the
analyzed history textbooks but are not specified in detail.

The article considers the depiction of colonialism and imperialism in Austrian textbooks (n = 61) and curricula issued since the commencement of the Second Republic in 1945. The analysis indicates that textbooks made use of the freedom afforded them by state stipulations, which, while evidently taking a distinctly Eurocentric point of view, give textbook authors scope for taking decisions on the inclusion or exclusion of particular topics. The textbooks studied covered various aspects of this area of history that curricula did not list expressly, such as the impact of European colonial aggression on Indigenous populations. Simultaneously, the analysis showed a long absence from textbooks of colonialism's implications throughout history to the present day, and demonstrated that textbooks reproduced racist ideas well into the 2000s, with corresponding effects on perceptions of history among Austrian population today.

Las limitaciones en habilidades espaciales, la concepción instrumental de la didáctica y la falta de articulación entre distintos tipos de pensamiento dificultan la enseñanza del pensamiento espacial en la formación docente. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar propuestas para el desarrollo del pensamiento espacial y sus componentes (conceptos, representaciones y razonamientos) en estudiantes universitarios en formación docente de la Universidad del Tolima (Colombia). Además, examina la relación entre el pensamiento geográfico adquirido y su aplicación en pruebas STAT (Spatial Thinking Ability Test), así como el desarrollo del pensamiento geodidáctico mediante estrategias didácticas, incluyendo secuencias y unidades didácticas. La investigación, enmarcada en la Investigación-Acción Educativa, involucró a 134 docentes en formación de la Licenciatura en Ciencias Sociales. Se implementaron estrategias para fortalecer el pensamiento espacial y su enseñanza en contextos pedagógicos, promoviendo el pensamiento geodidáctico. Los hallazgos muestran tanto dificultades como oportunidades para mejorar la formación docente, facilitando la transición del conocimiento geográfico académico al saber escolar. Se concluye que la formación docente debe integrar tres dimensiones clave: conocimiento académico (pensamiento geográfico), apropiación cotidiana (pensamiento espacial) y práctica pedagógica (pensamiento geodidáctico).

Целта на настоящото изследване е да анализира дали конституционният принцип на „академична автономия“ на висшите училища (по чл.53, ал.4 от Конституцията) води до ограничение на конституционното право на защита на членовете на академичния състав (по чл.16, чл.56 и чл.120, ал.2 от Конституцията).
Резултатите от изследването показват, че административните съдилища не допускат до разглеждане по същество и отхвърлят като недопустими 85% от подадените жалби срещу актове на органи по Закона за висшето образование в периода 2018–2024 г. В съдебната практика са идентифицирани два проблема, които са в основата на тази констатация:
Анализът на съдебната практика по чл.38 от Закона за висшето образование за изследвания период показва, че класифицирането на по-голяма част от актовете на органите на управление на висшите училища като вътрешнослужебни актове по смисъла на АПК е основният проблем за отхвърлянето на съдебните жалби срещу тях като недопустими.
Друга категория жалби, които съдът отхвърля като недопустими за съдебно оспорване по реда на АПК, са тези, с които се оспорват актове на органи на основни звена на висшите училища (актове на факултетни съвети, декани, катедрени съвети, ръководители на катедри). Соченото основание за това е изключването им от възможността за съдебно оспорване на основание чл.38 във вр. с чл.24, ал.1 от Закона за висшето образование. Според цитираните разпоредби от Закона за висшето образование за съдебно обжалване са допустими само актовете на органите за управление на висшите училища.
Анализът на съдебната практика по чл.38 от Закона за висшето образование за изследвания период (2018–2024 г.) категорично показва, че неговата редакция води до ограничение на конституционното право на защита на членовете на академичния състав (по чл.16, чл.56 и чл.120, ал.2 от Конституцията).
Абсолютизирането на принципа на „академична автономия“ започва да води до практики на „академичен субективизъм“ чрез ограничаване на съдебния контрол за законосъобразност върху голяма част от крайните актове, които постановяват органите на висшите училища. Народното събрание на Република България в свое официално решение, което е обнародвано в държавен вестник постановява, че „академичната автономия е довела до отсъствие на академична отговорност пред обществото“, което е още едно доказателство за това.

Resumo: Este trabalho aborda o lugar que o deserto e suas representações ocuparam em algumas correspondências de Jerônimo de Estridon. Mestre de todos os ofícios literários, reconhecido ainda em vida e mesmo após sua morte, por suas traduções, comentários bíblicos e uma coleção de cartas. Jerônimo tornou-se uma espécie de guia para grupos específicos da sociedade romana do IV século. A partir de suas cartas, a tópica do deserto será apresentada aqui como ocupando um lugar de destaque. Este trabalho utilizasse da metodologia de análise de discurso associada a História Cultural para realizar tal pretensão. Portanto, considerando a paideia cristianizada no IV século, o deserto revelou-se nas cartas de Jerônimo, tanto um símbolo de prestígio e status social para as elites cristãs quanto um espaço de autenticidade e legitimação da autoridade intelectual e espiritual, destacando-se como o ambiente ideal para a formação e demonstração de virtudes.

At the origins of the contamination  of History and Culture of  Italy - La ricerca didattica finanziata dall'Irre-Lombardia dal titolo "Identità italiana e globalizzazione : elaborazione e ricerca di alcuni percorsi didattici innovativi" , conclusasi nel dicembre del 2003 , condotta e organizzata dal prof.Gennaro Tedesco , Irre Lombardia , con la collaborazione della prof.ssa Giovanna Stanganello , docente delle Superiori , della prof.ssa Mara Gualdoni , docente delle Superiori e supervisore c/o SILSIS-Milano , di Aldo Campanozzi , grafico e documentarista e del prof. Simone Campanozzi , docente delle Superiori , si è rivolta ai docenti del Biennio e del Triennio delle Superiori. Si è formulata una serie di percorsi didattici , che hanno posto in rilievo due realtà storiche e culturali , quella greco-ortodossa ed arabo-islamica , solitamente sottovalutate nella elaborazione del concetto e della pratica di civiltà italiana. La ricerca e l'elaborazione nella scuola e per la scuola di questi percorsi didattici è servita ad evidenziare tutti quegli aspetti che ci rendono partecipi della stessa civiltà con greco-ortodossi e arabo-islamici nella società contemporanea globalizzata. L'idea e la pratica di un'Italia partecipata e riflessa nei contributi bizantini ed arabi è stata strutturata , organizzata ed enfatizzata da un approccio didattico veicolato anche per mezzo dell'immagine grafica. Nella ricerca in questione , in una prevalente ottica laboratoriale , la didattica della storia ha inteso fornire alcuni strumenti storico-critici , anche attraverso l'uso calibrato e ragionevole di Internet , per riannodare i fili del passato col presente e e per chiarire e sviluppare il quadro d'insieme , mentre le altre didattiche , quelle del testo letterario , dell'immagine e delle connotazioni socio-antropologiche hanno contribuito, in una cornice di forte impronta storica , a una profonda ridefinizione delle logiche "oggettivistiche" sottese alle loro "discipline" ,. The article examines the use of Facebook as a tool for learning
foreign languages. A review of the scientific literature on the topic is made, with the focus on publications from the last decade. The fact that Facebook does not provide educational services is emphasized, but due to the rapid spread of information, it is a preferred tool for many educational institutions – state and private. As for learning foreign languages, the article provides specific examples of providers of foreign language educational services who promote their activities for free through
Facebook, where they also find followers, some of whom subsequently subscribe to their paid services. A survey is also described, whose respondents are real Facebook users. We reach the conclusion that the world’s leading social network is not an effective method for learning foreign languages. The study can be used in the training of teachers who work with children with special educational needs and disabilities, for whom Facebook can be a useful additional tool depending on the degree of their disabilities. Resumo: Apresentamos resultados parciais do projeto de pesquisa "A Aula Inacabada: democracia, utopia e ensino de História" (2020-2024), constituído por questionários respondidos por estudantes dos 7º e 8º anos de quatro escolas públicas de Porto Alegre e Região Metropolitana, os quais foram cotejados com os Projetos Político-Pedagógicos das respectivas escolas, e os testemunhos de cada professor/a, quatro dos autores deste artigo. Analisamos as respostas quanto a idade, cor/raça, gênero e sexualidade, condições socioeconômicas, bem como as opiniões sobre o bairro e a escola, para discutir as concepções de periferia que perpassam as aulas de História. O conceito de periferia de Tiaraju D'Andrea e o pensamento de Freire, hooks e Xakriabá sobre relações educacionais apoiaram nosso exercício de escuta. Identificamos uma proporção de estudantes pretos e pardos em relação aos brancos maior do que a média do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, o mesmo valendo para a razão de habitantes por moradia. Há diversidade em relação à sexualidade mais do que em gênero. Os estudantes demonstraram leitura crítica sobre a escassez, a violência, as injustiças e a falta de estruturas mínimas em suas casas, nas escolas e nos bairros onde vivem. Os bons professores, os aprendizados, a merenda, os espaços bonitos da escola e os amigos são elogiados, quiçá indícios de que a utopia de uma boa vida e de uma boa escola se anuncia. Essas periferias são lugares de tensão entre a falta de quase tudo e as relações humanas com seus afetos (positivos ou não) para seguir produzindo a vida. The paper presents the experience, impressions, and attitudes of Chinese students who have studied or are studying Bulgarian language and culture. The emphasis is set on their motivation for choosing this major, the difficulties they face, as well as their goals for future realization. Most of the information was gathered through surveys, interviews, and questionnaires conducted with Chinese students. Based on the results of the survey, Chinese students usually start learning Bulgarian by chance, but in the process of education, they develop a long-lasting and deep interest. Despite the difficulties that they face, their
motivation is high enough to continue forward and to overcome the problems.

Per una didattica come Atelier del mondo Una domanda essenziale ed essenzialistica, "ontologica", sovrasta, s'impenna e si aggira, come un ultimo spettro minaccioso e pure necessario e rivoluzionario allo stesso tempo, uno spettro localizzato e terribile, che ha scelto come luogo prediletto e privilegiato delle sue "epifanie" i luoghi più sacri ed inaccessibili dell'Europa contemporanea, le scuole, anzi le istituzioni scolastiche del vecchio e sonnacchioso Continente; esso aleggia su questi immacolati, inviolati e invitti "santuari" europei del sapere e della formazione. La domanda inquietante, tenebrosa e perfida, risuona e riecheggia per valli, monti e mari del nostro glorioso Continente, "patria della Civiltà", "libidinosa" e desiderosa di scalfire e aggredire i pacifici e "giusti" sonni e la dolce quiete dei templi del sapere scolastico, essa, questa domanda, suona malvagia e indicibile, oserei dire, barbarica e selvaggia per taluni, forse per quanti abituati al "placido Don" del fluire silente, quotidiano, accomodante e passivizzante, per non dire, narcotizzante e paralizzante per milioni di allievi in età adolescenziale, la domanda impertinente e forse sconvolgente, l'interrogativo fastidioso e assordante per milioni di docenti vetero-continentali, compresi gli italici, o, se preferite, italioti, è il seguente: perché oggi i giovani, gli adolescenti in particolare, sono annegati nel "brutto", bruto e brutale presente, perché essi non avvertono più il richiamo e il fascino del passato? Perché non onorano più il "padre", o meglio ancora, la "madre", la "Memoria"? Insomma perché la Scuola non riesce più, come una volta (Quando? Quando la Scuola era il "Liceo" con la lettera maiuscola e i presunti interessati appartenevano a una ristretta elite intellettuale di ceto e di censo privilegiati, "entusiasti idolatri" dell'approccio erudito e classista alla "Grande Storia", quella delle battaglie, degli eroi e dei trattati diplomatici, graziosamente concessi ed elargiti sulla testa e alla faccia dei devoti e repressi sudditi del "Regno"?) ad attrarre al "Grande Gioco" della Storia? Adesso il mondo è cambiato, la globalizzazione incalza, la Scuola e i docenti devono fare i conti con adolescenti computerizzati, "massificati", ipertestualizzati, che chiedono, anzi pretendono di essere protagonisti dell'apprendimento e nell'apprendimento dei loro "Saperi", dei "Nuovi Saperi". La Globalizzazione biogenetica ed informatica ha mondializzato le modalità e le occasioni di apprendimento dei Saperi, che si sono radicalmente rimodellati e rimodulati su criteri epistemologici e pedagogici (ma è possibile ancora parlare oggi di pedagogia?) non lineari, non formali, informali, laboratoriali, non costrittivi ed esperienziali. Partendo dalle esperienze maturate negli anni di insegnamento nella scuola secondaria di secondo grado, dal confronto con gli studenti di Storia medievale e didattica della storia e dalle esigenze dei docenti frequentanti i corsi di formazione e aggiornamento organizzati dall’ISTAR (Istituto Storico Arborense), l’articolo propone un laboratorio di storia sulla Sardegna giudicale, per i secoli XI e XII.

The article proposes a history workshop dedicated to Sardinia giudicale, between the 11th and 12th centuries, for secondary school students. The text is based on the school experience and on the considerations developed during the courses in Medieval history and history teaching and the refresher courses for teachers organized by ISTAR (Istituto Storico Arborense).

The article is a probe into the transformation of teachers' attitudes towards research-oriented teaching. Five teachers tested a research-oriented textbook during one school year. Their approach to teaching gradually changed during the testing, from the initial uncritical enthusiasm to a more reserved, more critical attitude. Their methodological competencies also transformed (grew) complementary to the change of their epistemic beliefs. The article captures some problems associated with the implementation of research-oriented teaching in school practice.

Internazionale delle dottorande e dei dottorandi dal titolo «Tracce,
riflessi e segni: dinamiche della trasmissione», che si terrà a Napoli nelle
giornate del 24, 25 e 26 settembre 2025.
Il convegno nasce all’interno del progetto Orizzonti e Memorie: un ciclo
di conferenze che possa promuovere il confronto sul tema della
trasmissione delle eredità culturali nelle discipline umanistiche, creando
uno spazio di dialogo stabile e destinato a crescere nel tempo.

Report of the Pan-European assembly of History Teachers, organized by Clio '92, EuroClio and the Evens Foundation. This event gathered teachers from various countries to discuss three urgent topics: how to embed environmental history in history curricula, how do present migration processes, how to make history teaching more inclusive in terms of methods and topics.

Key Competences of 21st Century: the connection between the
Functional Literacy of Pupils and Written assignments for History and Civilization

The text focuses on the issues of functional literacy of pupils and
the potential of the school subject History and Civilization for the development of key competences through work with various sources. The starting conceptual foundation argues the changes of the new school documentation. The system of written assignments is reviewed in a comparative way, presented in the State education standards for school History curriculum in 2000. Examples from the new textbooks
of History and Civilizations for 5th grade are used, through which the possibilities for development of competences evaluated by PISA for work with various kinds of texts for understanding the meaning of information and its representation in written form are analyzed.
