Este artículo analiza la situación actual de la investigación multidisciplinar en España desde una perspectiva de redes. Para ello, todos los proyectos coordinados financiados por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación entre 2013-2018 fueron tomados como indicador de multidisciplinariedad. La información sobre cada institución fue completada con su ubicación geográfica (latitud, longitud y comunidad autónoma) así como con su posición según los Rankings de Instituciones de Scimago. Se construyeron dos redes: la red de interacción entre instituciones y la red de áreas temáticas. Se realizaron análisis de la estructura de ambas redes. Nuestros resultados muestran que las dos redes tienen una clara estructura modular, y los análisis de detección de roles realizados en ambas proporcionan información acerca de la importancia relativa de las diferentes instituciones académicas y de las áreas temáticas respectivamente.

Establishing a Transactive Memory System (TMS) is essential for groups of learners, when they are multidisciplinary and collaborate online. Environments for Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) could be designed to facilitate the TMS. This study investigates how various aspects of a TMS (i.e., specialization, coordination, and trust) can be facilitated using a transactive memory script that spans three interdependent processes (i.e., encoding, storage, and retrieval) in multidisciplinary CSCL. Sixty university students were assigned to multidisciplinary pairs based on their disciplines (water management or international development). These pairs were randomly assigned to a scripted or non-scripted condition and asked to discuss and solve a problem case. The script facilitated construction of a TMS, fostered learners' knowledge transfer and convergence, and improved the quality of problem solution plans. Specialization and coordination aspects of the TMS were mediators for the impacts of the script on joint but not individual problem solution plans.

The rapid pace of climate change demands changes in management practices. Despite abundant climate adaptation research, the implementation of climate adaptation can lag in the management space. In the present article, we argue that relationship-centered engagement-establishing and maintaining relationships among researchers and natural resource managers-is critical for bridging the research-management gap. We evaluated researcher-manager partnerships within the US Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center and identified three cultural shifts that institutions, funders, researchers, and managers could adopt to boost the odds of translating findings into action: acknowledging and supporting the central role of relationships in creating and implementing actionable science, lengthening funding timelines to better support establishing and maintaining relationships, and aligning institutional rewards to support relationship building. A renewed focus on relationships can lead to more diverse and effective partnerships that bridge knowledge to practice and hasten adaptation to climate change.

In this demonstration we present Ubi Displays: an open source toolkit designed to simplify and expedite the process of creating media-rich interactive projected displays. Our toolkit enables users of web technologies and commodity hardware to quickly create applications that previously would have taken substantial development effort by skilled programmers. By reducing the required skills, development time, and the costs of tools and hardware we hope to encourage people from a diverse set of communities (e.g. designers and hobbyists) to engage with pervasive displays and explore the different kinds of impact and interaction they can support. This demonstration covers the key features of Ubi Displays and highlights a selection of real-world case studies that illustrate how the toolkit can be used.

Background: Human movement, rehabilitation, and allied sciences have embraced their ambitions within the cycle of "RehabMove" congresses over the past 30 years. This combination of disciplines and collaborations in the Netherlands has tried to provide answers to questions in the fields of rehabilitation and adapted sports, while simultaneously generating new questions and challenges. These research questions help us to further deepen our understanding of (impaired) human movement and functioning, with and without supportive technologies, and stress the importance of continued multidisciplinary (inter)national collaboration. Methods: This position stand provides answers that were conceived by the authors in a creative process underlining the preparation of the 6th RehabMove Congress. Results: The take-home message of the RehabMove2018 Congress is a plea for continued multidisciplinary research in the fields of rehabilitation and adapted sports. This should be aimed at more individualized notions of human functioning, practice, and training, but also of performance, improved supportive technology, and appropriate "human and technology asset management" at both individual and organization levels and over the lifespan. Conclusions: With this, we anticipate to support the development of rehabilitation sciences and technology and to stimulate the use of rehabilitation notions in general health care. We also hope to help ensure a stronger embodiment of preventive and lifestyle medicine in rehabilitation practice. Indeed, general health care and rehabilitation practice require a healthy and active lifestyle management and research agenda in the context of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. ä IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION Continued multidisciplinary (international) collaboration will stimulate the development of rehabilitation and human movement sciences. Notions from "human and technology asset management and ergonomics" are fundamental to rehabilitation practice and research. The rehabilitation concept will further merge into general health care and the quality there-off.

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, successfully curated by Carlo Ratti, unfolds through the Arsenale, the Gardens and the urban fabric of the city of Venice, entitled "Intelligens: Natural, Artificial, Collective." This edition transcends the boundaries of a traditional exhibition, emerging instead as a speculative laboratory in which architecture becomes both a means and method to question the urgent and intricate issues of our time: climate change, technological acceleration, environmental precarity and collective action. Artificial intelligence is approached not as an apocalyptic force, but as a tool to reconfigure design thinking itself. In Robot's Dream, Gramazio Kohler Research, MESH and Studio Armin Linke stage a humanoid robot as subject and agent, probing the thresholds between machine cognition and architectural action. The project investigated responses to an AI displaying emotional qualities like fear through a mixed-methods approach. Participants were randomly assigned to one of two scenarios—one featuring an AI coworker and the other a human coworker and evaluated for emotional attachment and loss. Results revealed that professionals exhibited significant emotional responses to the potential "termination" of an AI team member. Qualitative analysis identified eight themes, including emotional responses and termination. Findings suggest that emotionally expressive AI activates psychological processes akin to human relationships, with implications for AI design, workplace dynamics, and ethical considerations surrounding AI termination

Il saggio tende ad argomentare un effettivo mutamento di consistenza della materia del manufatto conseguenziale ad una progressiva, lineare, variazione di “densità” sia fisica che concettuale della disciplina determinante una fisiologica, quanto copiosa, dissipazione di energia per la quale sembrano, nel tempo corrente, porsi le condizioni per un nuovo riposizionamento finalizzato alla disposizione di un nuovo equilibrio.

Resumo: Com o objetivo de pensar sobre o papel do Coordenador Pedagógico como articulador/provocador de formação continuada nos espaços escolares, realizou-se um estudo/ação, que se constituiu em uma formação continuada em serviço para os professores de uma escola de Educação Infantil localizada no município de Ijuí, estado do Rio Grande do Sul, que abordou a Avaliação na Educação Infantil. Justifica-se acrescentando que se torna de grande relevância a ação, uma vez que emerge da leitura do campo realizada pela acadêmica que, no momento da pesquisa, ocupava o lugar de Coordenadora Pedagógica. Obteve-se importantes informações a partir do desenvolvimento dessa intervenção no espaço escolar, o que possibilitou importante discussão acerca da visão do Professor como Intelectual. O presente artigo apresenta e discute a intervenção realizada, a partir dos estudos da disciplina de "Escola, Cultura e Sociedade" do curso de Pós-graduação Lato Sensu em Gestão Escolar, no Instituto Federal Farroupilha Câmpus Panambi. A realidade escolar escolhida é a Escola Municipal Infantil localizada no município de Ijuí-RS. O Estudo/ação a ser proposto constitui-se em uma formação continuada em serviço para os professores da respectiva escola que aborde a avaliação na Educação Infantil, isto porque se tem observado a dificuldade dos mesmos no momento de escrita do Relatório de Desenvolvimento e Aprendizagens que ocorre semestralmente na instituição. Ao observar que os profissionais da educação desta instituição apresentam significativas dificuldades ao ter que avaliar seus alunos, percebeu-se a relevância de se discutir essas questões em momentos, nesta escola, denominado de "Reunião Pedagógica e de Estudos".

The year 2020, when COVID-19 spread globally, appears to be a significant turning point in the rapidly changing relationship between atoms and bits, as well as between analog and physical. With the establishment of both the material conditions necessary for digital operation and the social conditions, digital technology has now created an unprecedented ‘autonomous circuit,’ securing its own independent status. Digital technology will evolve beyond a means of convergence to become a force that transforms society, culture, and history. Two key aspects of the digital revolution can be identified: (1) hyperconnectivity, which refers to the constant and dense connection between humans and the world through digital media, making them always online;
and (2) digital first, where digital technology has become the infrastructure of the world and a substantial force in shaping it, indicating that the world is now formed starting from digital technology. While there are still areas where hyperconnectivity and digital first are not fully operational, it is becoming increasingly clear that the world is shifting in that direction. This paper aims to redefine important terms related to the digital revolution, such as atoms/bits, material/information, analog (physical)/digital, and hyperconnectivity (Section II). After philosophically reflecting on the most crucial aspect, digital first (Section III), it argues that what is essential in this new situation is not technology itself, but rather content specifically, captivating ‘smart power’ (Section VI). This will reveal that what matters most in the digital revolution is ‘value.’
코로나19가 전 세계로 확산한 2020년은 아톰과 비트, 아날로그와 피지컬의 관계 가 급격하게 변한 중요한 전환점으로 보인다. 디지털이 작동할 수 있는 물질적 조건 들을 비롯해 사회적 조건까지 갖추어지면서 지금은 디지털이 전에 없던 ‘자율적 회 로’를 창출하면서 독자적 위상을 확보하게 되었다. 디지털은 융합의 수단을 넘어  사회와 문화, 역사를 변화시키는 기능을 더해갈 것이다. 디지털 혁명의 핵심으로  두 가지를 꼽을 수 있다. This case report presents an extraordinary instance of a 7-month-old
male infant with an XX chromosomal pattern—a genetic configuration
typically associated with females—while displaying characteristic male
physical traits. This anomaly challenges established concepts of sex
determination and highlights the intricate interplay between genetic factors
and phenotypic expression. The aim of this report is to delve into the clinical
implications of this rare presentation and to explore its broader significance
for understanding human sex development. The infant's mother, a 20-yearold primigravid Caucasian woman with a medical history of type 2
diabetes managed with Metformin and significant maternal obesity (BMI
= 37), underwent a comprehensive prenatal evaluation, including Natera
DNA testing. Initial genetic testing revealed an XX chromosomal pattern
with a low risk for chromosomal abnormalities. However, subsequent
ultrasounds revealed male genitalia, leading to further investigations for
congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Despite normal hormone levels and
negative genetic screens for CAH, the newborn exhibited male physical
characteristics at birth. This case underscores a significant discrepancy
between genetic predictions and observed phenotype, highlighting the
limitations inherent in current prenatal genetic testing technologies
and the complexity of sex determination mechanisms. The discrepancy
observed in this case underscores the critical need for a nuanced approach
to genetic evaluation and counseling. It illustrates the limitations of relying
solely on genetic tests to predict phenotypic outcomes and emphasizes
the importance of integrating clinical, genetic, and phenotypic data in
diagnostic processes.

In this article, the author interviewed Eugene Hannah Park (De Appel Amsterdam, 2023), Suhun Lee (Ars Electronica Festival, 2023), and Jihye Choi (Hiab, 2022), who participated in curato- rial residencies. During these residencies, each had the opportu- nity to collaboratively curate exhibitions, develop a global per- spective through direct participation in exhibition practice, and build networks in the local art scene. Their diverse experiences will not only enhance the understanding of curatorial residencies and reinforce the need for them in Korea, where they are almost non-existent, but also will be of practical help to those who wish to participate in them.

O presente artigo se insere na temática das competências socioemocionais na educação e reflete sobre a importância de se trabalhar tais competências principalmente no cenário hodierno de pandemia, distanciamento social e cerceamento de ações. A fim de auxiliar nesta reflexão, traçou-se como objetivo geral mostrar a necessidade de uma intervenção voltada à regulação emocional do aluno durante a pandemia e à lacuna interacional deixada pelo distanciamento das salas de aulas físicas. Os objetivos específicos se desenham em trazer teorias que sustentam a defesa de um ensino mais humano e completo, não apenas pautado em conteúdos acadêmicos, além de discutir os dados coletados por meio de uma entrevista no formulário eletrônico direcionado a alunos do Ensino Médio do ensino público, que intentou mapear como os alunos desta modalidade de ensino estão encarando as aulas remotas. Este estudo se justifica por ser necessária, devido à emergência de tempos pandêmicos, a construção de uma discussão acerca de temas de apoio emocional. O estudo parte das seguintes premissas teóricas: um dos papéis da educação é preparar a sociedade para o enfrentamento das incertezas que permeiam a existência humana, principalmente em tempos de crises; é necessário um olhar mais humano para o ensino remoto; e é urgente que temas socioemocionais façam parte de nossa prática pedagógica, tanto na modalidade remota e híbrida quanto na presencial. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, com análise bibliográfica, e aferição de dados do tipo quantitativa-qualitativa, com abordagem exploratóriadescritiva. Através dos resultados obtidos espera-se mostrar para educadores que o contato com o aluno durante o ensino remoto precisa ser repensado tendo em vista o progresso discente, tanto no aprendizado teórico, quanto na sua evolução como pessoa e cidadão.

Live coding is a growing international phenomenon that brings together 21st century skill development through digital making, a mode of digital creativity that applies coding in the real-time of a musical performance. Live coding introduces the exciting notion of ‘liveness’ with composition and improvisation happening in the immediacy of performance. Coding exists as a much higher sonic abstraction than that of standard Western music notation; it affords the performer the ability to compose in the immediate or real time of improvised performance, thus merging improvisation, composition, algorithmic thinking and performance creativities through the use of new digital making tools.

Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie est un historien à l'ambition totalisante et à l'intérêt prononcé pour l'étude des « structures persistantes et des rythmes inchangées de la vie rurale »1, ainsi que pour l'analyse quantitative des sources.

Objective The objective of this study was to explore the outcomes of research engagement (patient engagement, PE) in the context of qualitative research. Design We observed engagement in two groups comprised of patients, clinicians and researchers tasked with conducting a qualitative preference exploration project in inflammatory bowel disease. One group was led by a patient research partner (PLG, partner led group) and the other by an academic researcher (RLG, researcher led group). A semistructured guide and a set of critical outcomes of research engagement were used as a framework to ground our analysis. Setting The study was conducted online. Participants Patient research partners (n=5), researchers (n=5) and clinicians (n=4) participated in this study. Main outcome measures Transcripts of meetings, descriptive and reflective observation data of engagement during meetings and email correspondence between group members were analysed to identify the outcomes of PE. Results Both projects were patient-centred, collaborative, meaningful, rigorous, adaptable, ethical, legitimate, understandable, feasible, timely and sustainable. Patient research partners (PRPs) in both groups wore dual hats as patients and researchers and influenced project decisions wearing both hats. They took on advisory and operational roles. Collaboration seemed easier in the PLG than in the RLG. The RLG PRPs spent more time than their counterparts in the PLG sharing their experience with biologics and helping their group identify a meaningful project question. A formal literature review informed the design, project materials and analysis in the RLG, while the formal review informed the project materials and analysis in the PLG. A PRP in the RLG and the PLG lead leveraged personal connections to facilitate recruitment. The outcomes of both projects were meaningful to all members of the groups. Conclusions Our findings show that engagement of PRPs in research has a positive influence on the project design and delivery in the context of qualitative research in both the patient-led and researcher-led group.

This investigation examines the conditions of housing instability in Council Bluffs and need for additional permanent housing, both in isolation and relative to provision within the continuum of care between Omaha and Council Bluffs. We found that the need relative to the population, the proportion of population showing extreme need, and the proportion of the population seeking assistance, was statistically constant between the two cities, and there is not a significant difference between the two families in demographic terms, and so there is an expectation that the distribution of services should be relatively constant between people originating from the two states. We found that when people from the Omaha and Council Bluffs metropolitan area and the surrounding counites on either side for the river for whom the nearest provider base is the metropolitan area experience homelessness and they seek assistance there is an extreme bias, by orders of magnitude, for placing people from Nebraska into permanent housing, as compared to people from Iowa. This disparity appears to be a result of funding restrictions from sources available to Nebraskans which are unavailable to Iowans. There is not a statistically significant difference between Omaha and Council Bluffs in terms of proportional need, and yet people from Council Bluffs are not getting housed at the same rate as people from Omaha. This inequity persists despite a willingness of Iowans to move to Nebraska much greater than that found in other regions of Iowa or of Nebraskans to move to Iowa, eliminating the explanation of client choice. The inequity is located among unaccompanied adults. Statistically there is not an inequity among homeless families. This is not the result of better funding policies for families, but instead a broad lack of housing solutions for homeless families. Further evaluation of the funding restrictions would be required to make more specific statements of cause, but the collective funding pattern in the metropolitan area causes the disparities favoring unaccompanied adult Nebraskans over Iowans. This report makes the data driven policy recommendation that at least 80-100 additional units of other permanent housing (OPH) be provided exclusively in Council Bluffs to resolve the inequity. We recommend prioritizing unaccompanied individuals with the option occasionally house families. Restrictions on housing prioritization are causal of the inequity demonstrated. Any additional units would further rectify the inequity, addressing a deep and clear need for housing in Council Bluffs. Institute for Community Alliances Patterns of Chronicity Chronic homelessness is the concept driving much of the policy directed at ending the perpetual homelessness crisis in America. Illicit substance and mental health disorders are closely associated with homelessness in the popular imagination. While there is a prevalence of both among the population experiencing homelessness, there is little evidence suggesting that the rate of illicit substance use among people "becoming homeless", entering the homeless response system, for the first time is significantly different than the rate of illicit substance use in the general population controlling for economic measures. In practice, to a large degree, increased illicit substance use and mental health disorders are symptoms of homelessness rather than causal (Hungaro, Anai Adario, et al. 2020). This means that the observed high rates of illicit substance use are more likely to be caused by the experience of homelessness. This is particularly true once poverty is controlled for suggesting illicit substance use is more a function of poverty, a coping mechanism, a punitive measure against the behaviors of the poor, or a combination of those. (Sheely 2021) And so, much policy coming from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is aimed at sorting out the people who are more likely to need minimal intervention before finding housing stability, exiting assistance, and never needing that assistance again, at least for the two-year lookback used in those measures. For much of the population experiencing homelessness, even if there are several system entries across the time span, the episode of homelessness is one time and finite ending in a system exit from which there is no return to homelessness. 80.3% of those who exit to permanent housing are not seen again in two years, nationally (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 2021a) in 2021, and 74% in Polk County, Iowa, for the same period. The remainder should be people who are unable to find a path to long term stability without further assistance. For that remainder there are two predominant interventions. Rapid re-housing is preferred for people who have the fundamental ability to maintain stability but need a time-limited assistance. The balance is people who need long term or permanent assistance and may need support for underlying permanent disabilities that interfere with their ability to maintain housing independently. And, aside from special populations like youth and military veterans, that should cover everyone.

In current Viking_Age studies, slaves are brought forward as the main commodity creating the flow of dirhams from Islamic regions to Eurasia and Scandinavia. This article instead stresses Pre-Viking and later fur hunting as the primary factor driving the Svear and other Scandinavian peoples eastwards and it presents the geographical and economic shifts in the eastern fur trade from the 7th century to the High Middle Ages. Through artefacts, scientific analyses and written sources we can show how the social impact of different actors at the northern end of the furtrade network varied over time. In this way, a new picture of Scandinavian expansion to the east emerges with a higher chronological resolution, one that emphasises a more prominent role played by the Baltic Finns and the Sámi.

Background: Human movement, rehabilitation, and allied sciences have embraced their ambitions within the cycle of "RehabMove" congresses over the past 30 years. This combination of disciplines and collaborations in the Netherlands has tried to provide answers to questions in the fields of rehabilitation and adapted sports, while simultaneously generating new questions and challenges. These research questions help us to further deepen our understanding of (impaired) human movement and functioning, with and without supportive technologies, and stress the importance of continued multidisciplinary (inter)national collaboration. Methods: This position stand provides answers that were conceived by the authors in a creative process underlining the preparation of the 6th RehabMove Congress. Results: The take-home message of the RehabMove2018 Congress is a plea for continued multidisciplinary research in the fields of rehabilitation and adapted sports. This should be aimed at more individualized notions of human functioning, practice, and training, but also of performance, improved supportive technology, and appropriate "human and technology asset management" at both individual and organization levels and over the lifespan. Conclusions: With this, we anticipate to support the development of rehabilitation sciences and technology and to stimulate the use of rehabilitation notions in general health care. We also hope to help ensure a stronger embodiment of preventive and lifestyle medicine in rehabilitation practice. Indeed, general health care and rehabilitation practice require a healthy and active lifestyle management and research agenda in the context of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. ä IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION Continued multidisciplinary (international) collaboration will stimulate the development of rehabilitation and human movement sciences. Notions from "human and technology asset management and ergonomics" are fundamental to rehabilitation practice and research. The rehabilitation concept will further merge into general health care and the quality there-off.

흥미로운 점은 미국 대중문화가 미래를 상상하는 과정에 어느 시기부터 인가 동양인 인물이 빠지지 않고 등장한다는 점이다. 이는 헌팅턴의 저서에서 언급한 20세기 초반의 미국소설들과 비교할 때 더욱 두드러진다. 헌팅턴 이 분석한 시어도어 스터전(Theodore Sturgeon), 아인 랜드(Ayn Rand), 휴고 건스 백(Hugo Gernsback), 톰 고드윈(Tom Godwin) 등의 SF작가들이 상상한 기술-유토 피아적 미래에는 동양인이 등장하지 않는다. 20세기 초반 미국의 작가들이 상상한 미래는 서구인들이 발명한 기술로 놀라운 발전을 이룩한 서구의 미래 이다. 이는 에드워드 사이드(Edward Said)가 70년대 그의 저서 『오리엔탈리즘 (Orientalism)』에서 지적한 오리엔탈리즘의 영향이라 볼 수 있는데, 수세기 동 안 서구의 작가들은 서구를 미래·과학·기술·이성·문명의 공간으로 상상한 반면, 동양을 전통·신화·마술·비이성·야만의 공간으로 상상해 왔다. 이러한 오리엔탈리즘적 시각 속에서 동양은 과거로 회귀하는 혹은 과거에 머물러 있 는 공간일 수밖에 없기에, 기술-유토피아적 미래를 상상하는 데 있어서 도무 지 낄 자리가 없었던 것이다.따라서이글은 다음과 같은 질문들을 던지고자 한다. 대체 왜 최근 들어 할리우드 영화에서 는 한국 배우들을 대거 캐스팅하기 시작한 것일까? 한국 배우들이 주로 사이 언스 픽션 혹은 판타지 장르들에서 캐스팅되는 이유는 무엇일까? 왜 미국의 작가나 영화감독들이 상상하는 미래에 한국 배우들이 필요한 것일까? 여기 에서 상상된 미래는 어떠한 미래인가? 우리는 한국 배우들의 할리우드 진출 을 덮어놓고 환영해야 할 것인가? 서양의 학문적, 문화적 지배로부터 탈피해 한국의 학문적 전통으로부터 세계 보편의 가치관을 추구하는 것이 계간 『다시개벽』의 목표라면, 한국인 배우의 할리우드 진출을 덮어놓고 환영할 것이 아니라, 현재 서양의 예술가, 작가들이 한국과 동양을 어떻게 바라보는지 객관적으로 파악하는 것이 중요한 과제 중 하나가 될 것이다.
