The fi th volume in a 10-volume report on the historical development (1966)(1967)(1968)(1969)(1970)(1971)(1972)(1973) of the 8 administrative Area offices of the Indian Health Service (IHS) Mental Health Programs, this report presents information on the Billings Area Office. In the wake of Granholm v. Heald, numerous states passed new laws to regulate interstate direct shipment of alcohol that would seem to contradict the spirit, if not the explicit content, of the Commerce Clause. We build on existing scholarship analyzing the empirical impacts of direct shipment barriers to identify how these new laws are likely to influence local market conditions. Drawing on new data that measure posted winery prices and aggregate production levels in 2002 and 2004, we demonstrate how many of these new laws would be expected to effectively diminish, if not altogether remove, the benefits that would normally accrue to consumers from legalized interstate direct shipment of wine. Although empirical analysis of price effects currently plays a very limited role in dormant Commerce Clause cases, our analysis suggests how price data can be used to ascertain whether a state restriction constitutes discrimination against out-of-state economic interests. In the Methods section describing parental education, ''a middle school education'' should be read as ''a 2-year college or high school education''. Among parents, 81% identified as Caucasian or Non-Hispanic White, 12% identified as Hispanic American, and 7% identified as other. In regard to education, 47.5% had a graduate (masters or doctoral) degree, 40% had bachelor's degree, and 12.5% had a 2-year college or high school education.

This study examines the psychological consequences of homelessness policies in Finland and the Netherlands, comparing the Housing First model with the traditional shelter-based staircase system. Drawing on Self-Determination Theory, trauma-informed care, and stress regulation frameworks, the analysis explores how policy structures affect autonomy, stress, motivation, identity, and integration. Finland’s Housing First strategy, which provides immediate permanent housing without preconditions, is contrasted with the Dutch staircase model, which historically conditioned housing on transitional milestones. Results indicate that Housing First fosters autonomy, reduces chronic stress, and enhances integration outcomes, while shelter-based approaches perpetuate dependency, stigma, and elevated allostatic load. The findings suggest that housing policies should be recognized as psychological interventions in their own right. Recommendations highlight the importance of embedding Housing First principles into national policy, ensuring autonomy-supportive practices, and reducing stigma. By treating housing as a fundamental right and stabilizing factor, governments can support mental health, social inclusion, and long-term reintegration for homeless populations.

Key themes which emerged in the in-depth interviews regarding respondents' life experiences and welfare needs included: separation from children. Many of the homeless people interviewed were parents but few had retained custody or guardianship of their children. Most commonly, respondents' children were being looked after temporarily by someone else but some had been adopted or a relative had obtained legal custody experience of violence and abuse. Violence and abuse characterised the lives of many of those interviewed. They had suffered physical or sexual abuse in their formative years from parents and other relatives, or at the hands of bullies; they then suffered similar abuse from partners, pimps, punters, and drug dealers in adulthood, and from the general public while sleeping rough. Undiagnosed, or 'low level' mental health issues. Some respondents had diagnosed mental health conditions but many reported mental ill health despite no diagnosis. The personal difficulties they faced had served to undermine their well being, with many reporting depression, coping difficulties, suicidal thoughts anger management issues, and low motivation. Low self esteem was also common. Poor physical health. The effects of years of intravenous drug use, poor nutrition, exposure to cold, harsh conditions while sleeping rough or working on the streets at night had taken its toll on many of the homeless people interviewed for this study. Unhappy childhood. Many respondents' formative years were characterised by rejection, abandonment, neglect and abuse. Sexual and physical abuse were commonplace and many were not adequately cared for. Troubled experience of the care system. Most of the homeless people interviewed who had been in the care of the local authority had found this experience extremely distressing. Debt. Debt was a significant problem for some of the people interviewed, accrued from court fines, credit from drug dealers, and bureaucratic complications with benefit claims. Rent arrears were the most common debt owed Difficulties accessing welfare benefits. Typical problems included not having access to the necessary documentation (ID, proof of release date from prison), finding the bureaucratic process difficult to cope with, and prioritising other issues.

Background: Mental health services in Lebanon are weakly integrated in the health system due to a huge political unrest, cultural and societal stigma, and more importantly, due to the inappropriate planning of human resources. A shift of the mental health services in Lebanon from hospital-based care into community-based care and efficient planning of human resources became a priority given the increasing burden of mental health disorders as a consequence of socio-political and economic crises: the bordering Syrian war, the massive influx of refugees, the huge inflation rate and above all the Beirut explosion. Methods: The WHO-ATLAS was conducted in 2019 as well as the WHO-AIMS in 2015 to map mental health services in Lebanon. Collaboration between service users and mental health professionals is at the heart of values based practice and shared decision making. However, there has been limited analysis of the implications of these approaches within a healthcare context that involves depriving service users of their freedom. This article proposes a framework that aims to promote shared decision making which acknowledges, all participants must be Informed, Involved and Influential in the decision-making process. However, these are fluid; they refer to a sliding scale of influence that moves between these different positions depending on context, capacity and desire to influence.

Mental health professionals often move across services in the National Health Service (NHS) as a result of organizational change. However, little is known about the impact this has on people who are in receipt of psychiatric services (service users). We conducted an exploratory qualitative study into the experiences of service users under a community mental health team following a service restructure. Nine service users took part in face-to-face interviews, which were subsequently analysed following the principles of Grounded Theory. We found that service users were affected by their consultant leaving in a variety of ways, ranging from grief reactions to improved self-effi cacy. We concluded that service users can be signifi cantly affected by their consultant leaving, and this should be taken into account when planning restructures of mental health services.

One of the limitations on developing more progressive applied psychology training is the teaching received by students at undergraduate level. In this study, we focus on the provision of teaching about mental health or its equivalents (e.g. abnormal psychology and clinical psychology) on UK undergraduate psychology programmes. Most students who go on to train as clinical psychologists will have received teaching on modules like these. A survey questionnaire was sent to 109 university departments which might offer a module in mental health mental health module and 348 individuals who might be involved in such modules. The majority of programmes responding offered a mental health module, which was available each year as an optional subject. A number of findings on the content and delivery of the modules are reported and a number of recommendations are made including more involvement from practitioners and service users. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to assess whether a tier four mental health of child and adolescent intellectual disability service was meeting the complex needs of children and families by evaluating performance on key characteristics of a “model service” identified by the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2004.Design/methodology/approachQuestionnaires assessed all areas of a “model service” for parents and children, and were sent to the 68 consecutive referrals received within an 18 month period. A postal survey response rate of 42.6 per cent (parents) and 11.7 per cent (children) was achieved, and the final sample was found to be representative of the consecutive case series as a whole.FindingsThe service showed excellent performance on all indicators, suggesting it is operating a “model service” as experienced by service‐users themselves.Practical implicationsIssues raised included the need for families to have greater information prior to assessments; clearer explanation of...

Di tengah meningkatnya tekanan hidup dan kasus gangguan kesehatan mental, terutama pada kalangan mahasiswa perantau dan generasi muda, banyak individu beralih ke media digital sebagai alternatif penyembuhan non-medis. Konten dakwah keislaman yang disampaikan secara santai, relevan, dan menyentuh sisi emosional ternyata memiliki daya tarik tersendiri dalam membantu audiens menemukan ketenangan batin. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan teknik analisis isi terhadap komentar penonton di YouTube, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ceramah Ustaz Hannan Attaki tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media dakwah, tetapi juga sebagai media refleksi dan penguatan spiritual. Banyak penonton mengaku merasa lebih tenang, terarah, dan terbantu dalam menghadapi tekanan hidup setelah mengakses konten tersebut. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan dakwah digital yang adaptif terhadap isu psikologis kontemporer dan membuka peluang integrasi antara pendekatan spiritual dan dukungan kesehatan mental.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi promosi kesehatan mental dalam video kampanye YouTube dari kanal Suara Tirta, khususnya melalui pendekatan pencegahan primer dan sekunder. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis tematik terhadap komentar-komentar pengguna pada video berjudul “Jika Mengalami Depresi, Jangan Dipendam”, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana audiens memaknai dan merespons pesan-pesan kampanye digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video tersebut tidak hanya menyampaikan edukasi kesehatan mental secara empatik, tetapi juga menjadi pemicu refleksi personal dan sarana coping digital bagi penontonnya. Tiga tema utama yang muncul dari komentar audiens meliputi: penguatan emosional, ekspresi distress dan kebutuhan dukungan, serta ritual digital sebagai bentuk mekanisme koping. Selain mencerminkan keberhasilan strategi promosi preventif, temuan ini juga mengungkap adanya kebutuhan mendesak terhadap integrasi antara kampanye digital dan sistem layanan kesehatan jiwa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar kampanye kesehatan mental digital dikembangkan secara lebih responsif dan kolaboratif, dengan menyediakan akses konkret menuju dukungan profesional guna menciptakan ruang digital yang aman, empatik, dan berdaya dukung tinggi bagi masyarakat.

Religious beliefs and practices are related to mental health. Many individuals report a religious affiliation, but do not have specific religious beliefs or practices such as attending religious services. These non-attendees are often assumed to resemble the non-religious, but are poorly studied. This study explored the demographic characteristics and mental health outcomes associated with being a non-attendee using data from a nationally representative Australian sample. Non-attendees were more likely to be non-Christian than attendees at religious services. They had worse mental health than both non-religious individuals and attendees, especially compared to the non-religious. Whether non-attendance is a result of or cause of poor mental health outcomes is not clear, and deserves further investigation. Non-attendees clearly differed in our sample from both non-religious individuals and attendees. Our results do not support the hypothesis that individuals who report a religious affiliation, but are not actively religious, are similar to non-religious individuals.

O presente estudo teve como objetivo conhecer a experiência dos profissionais da Psicologia dentro do atual modelo de atenção em saúde mental. Foi realizado um estudo qualitativo, com a utilização da técnica de entrevistas semiestruturadas, tendo como participantes sete psicólogos de três Centros de Atenção Psicossocial de uma cidade de porte médio do Rio Grande do Sul. Os resultados foram analisados através da análise de conteúdo, e revelaram o impacto inicial vivenciado pelos profissionais, manifestado através dos sentimentos de medo, frustração e impotência. Method: This two-year early intervention initiative was comprised of six, ten-week long interlinked artist-led workshop programmes for groups of parents and their children. The number of participants that completed the intervention was 36; however, data were only collected for 22 due to having hard-to-reach participants. This evaluation used a within-subjects repeated measures pre and post design using scores from validated rating scales. Feedback interviews were also carried out over the phone. Results: There were significant decreases in parental depression (r = -.5), anxiety (r = -.54) and stress (r = -.58). Socio-emotional problems of the children significantly decreased (r = -.37), however the parents' perception of competency slightly decreased but was not-significant. Despite this, parents' perception of self-efficacy increased after the Creative Families intervention (r = .17). Interview data showed that parents' sense of isolation decreased, increased their self-confidence and that they were able to utilise what they had learnt at home. Discussion: The project's impact is understood in the context of the participants' personal and social circumstances, many were living with complex problems and seen as being hard to reach. The research indicates a need for inter-agency and preventative interventions.

Lebanon's recent history has been marked by intersecting crises, including a severe economic collapse, the Beirut port explosion, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst this "polycrisis, " the healthcare system has become increasingly reliant on international humanitarian assistance. This paper examines how these overlapping crises have affected the provision of care for children with thalassemia, a neglected non-communicable disease (NCD), within a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) paediatric unit operating in Lebanon between 2018 and 2023. Drawing on a single-case study design, the research explores the dynamics of power between state and non-state actors as well as within international humanitarian organizations and their approaches to healthcare delivery. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, including audio diaries, interviews, document analysis, and co-development groups involving 11 staff members and 18 caregivers of Syrian paediatric patients. Participants shared insights into operational challenges, decision-making processes, and the lived experiences of navigating Lebanon's collapsing health system. Findings reveal three interconnected issues: (1) the polycrises created an unsustainable environment even for resource-rich international non-governmental organizations (iNGOs); (2) the withdrawal of humanitarian services exacerbated the suffering of structurally marginalized Syrian families reliant on no-cost thalassemia treatment; and (3) national staff experienced profound professional and personal challenges as navigated tensions between iNGO policies and patient needs, often leading to burnout and reduced well-being. The study underscores the need for a reorientation of humanitarian healthcare models in protracted crises. This includes greater equity in decision-making between international organisations and national actors, longer-term planning for chronic disease care, and deeper engagement with national staff and affected communities. Prioritising sustainability, health justice, and the lived realities of both providers and patients is essential. While rooted in the specific context of Lebanon's highly privatised and pluralistic health system, these findings hold broader relevance for fragile settings facing similar structural and political constraints.

The traditional model of psychiatric assessment and diagnosis can be criticised as reductive. We developed an innovative model for psychiatric assessment of adult patients referred to our adult mental health team, the Systemic Assessment Clinic, incorporating the principles and techniques of systemic family therapy and dialogical practice into standard psychiatric assessment. We conducted a service evaluation, comparing prospective use of mental health services for patients assessed either in the Systemic Assessment Clinic or in standard assessment. Patients assessed in the Systemic Assessment Clinic had more favourable outcomes than those in standard assessment: they were significantly less likely to need multiple follow-up treatment appointments with a psychiatrist and to be re-referred to mental health services once discharged, indicating reduced healthcare costs. Sivumäärä 43+7 Tämä opinnäytetyö on osa Helsingin ja Uudenmaan Sairaanhoitopiirin (HUS) HYKSsairaanhoitoalueen operatiivisen toimialan ja Laurea-Ammattikorkeakoulun laadunkehittämishanketta. Hoitotyön laadunkehittämishanke sijoittuu vuosille 2007-2012 ja hankkeen tuotoksen tarkoituksena on yhteistoiminnallisten toimintatapojen ja suositeltavien käytäntöjen luominen operatiivisen toimialan henkilökunnalle. Opinnäytetyöprojekti alkoi lokakuussa 2008 aloituskokouksella ja eteni vähitellen vuoden 2009 aikana. Projektiraportin esitys pidettiin suunnitellusti tammikuussa 2010. Opinnäytetyön projektiryhmä koostui opiskelijasta, ohjaavasta opettajasta sekä Töölön sairaalan asiantuntijasairaanhoitajista. Projektiryhmä kokoontui työn edetessä projektikokouksiin ja niissä saadun palautteen perusteella työtä on kehitetty vastaamaan Töölön sairaalan Neurokirurgian klinikan tarpeita. Palautetta työstä on antanut niin neurokirurgian klinikalla toimiva anestesialääkäri kuin klinikan sairaanhoitajatkin. Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kuvata traumaattisesta aivovammasta kärsivän potilaan hoitoprosessi Töölön sairaalassa. Prosessin kuvaus on laadittu työntekijöiden eettisen päätöksenteon tueksi, jokapäiväisen työn helpottamiseksi sekä uusien työntekijöiden ja opiskelijoiden perehdyttämiseen. Opinnäytetyön pohjalta luotiin lisäksi posteri, joka on suunnattu aivotraumapotilaan omaisille. Traumaattisella aivovammalla tarkoitetaan ulkoisen energian vaikutuksesta syntynyttä vammaa eli joko suoraan päähän kohdistunutta iskua tai hidastuvuusliikkeen seurauksena syntynyttä äkillistä liikettä. Vaikean aivovamman hoito jaetaan kahteen osaan: ensimmäisenä tulee kirurgisesti hoidettavien kallonsisäisten vaurioiden välitön diagnosointi ja toisena sekundaaristen vaurioiden ehkäiseminen ja ennustaminen. Yleistä hoitoprosessin kuvausta pidetään strategian toteuttamisen ja johtamisen välineenä, joka helpottaa myös resurssien hallintaa. Prosessikuvausten tavoitteena on helpottaa toimintaa suunnittelun, kehittämisen ja arvioinnin avulla. Potilaan hoitoprosessin kuvaus antaa selkeät toimintalinjat siten, että hoito ei paikkakohtaisesti vaihtele. Traumaattisesta aivovammasta kärsivän potilaan hoitoprosessin kuvaamiseen käytettiin tutkittua tietoa, hyväksi havaittua toimintatietoa ja kokemukseen perustuvaa tietoa.

The purpose of this paper is to review some of the key mental health education and training developments of the last decade of immense change to the service system in England. This change was part and parcel of the Labour Government's mental health modernisation agenda.

Bei unseren theoretischen und empirischen Analysen geht es uns um die aktuelle Topographie der sozialen Landschaften und um die Frage der Verortung des Subjekts im Netzwerk der Gesellschaft: Wie haben sich die sozialen Landschaften gewandelt? Welche Auswirkungen hat der gesellschaftliche Wandel auf die soziale »Verwurzelung« der Individuen? Lassen sich neben Entbettungsprozessen auch neue Einbettungsmechanismen und -strategien erkennen? Das heißt: Kommt es mit der immer deutlicheren Auflösung und Umbildung der Basissicherheiten und Strukturen der »einfachen Moderne« (Beck) zur Herausbildung posttraditionaler Ligaturen?

Shared decision making (SDM) is the process by which health care providers and patients collaborate to make health care decisions. This collaboration leads to informed decision making and improved outcomes. However, research on SDM specific to the field of youth mental health is scarce. ACCESS Open Minds (ACCESS OM) is a youth mental health research and evaluation project that implemented and evaluated SDM practices within its various activities and operations. The ACCESS OM network spans a diversity of youth mental health settings across Canada, and includes various stakeholders such as youth, family members and carers, clinicians, researchers, and policy makers. The project values all types of knowledge (specifically, experiential, cultural, clinical, and scientific knowledge) as necessary to lead to better health research, care delivery, and outcomes for patients and their communities. Similarly, it acknowledges the lived experience of patients and, family and carers as expertise. Through the integration of SDM practices, ACCESS OM has formulated valuable insights that can be applied to other health problems and settings. This paper, written by youth and family council members, operational staff, and researchers from the project, will share challenges and solutions that arose in the integration of SDM practices within ACCESS OM's knowledge translation strategy, governance structures, clinical contexts, and capacity-building initiatives.

Children whose parents have mental illnesses are among the most vulnerable in our communities. There is however, much that can be done to prevent or mitigate the impact of a parent’s illness on children. Notwithstanding the availability of several evidence‐based interventions, efforts to support these children have been limited by a lack of adequate support structures. Major service reorientation is required to better meet the needs of these children and their families. This editorial provides recommendations for practice, organisational, and systems change.

Methods: Research was carried out in four Kaunas primary mental health centers, from July to September, 2006. We used standardized international mental health quality of life scale questionnaire implemented by Phillip W. Long (2003). Our group was randomly selected and consisted of 123 patients with schizophrenia aging from 18 to 65 years. Results: Several main problems were disclosed: 46,0 % of respondents noted reduced everyday home activities, 68,0 % mentioned physical fatigue, apathy 60,0 %, sleep disorders 81,0 %, memory and attention disorders 64,0 %, communication problems 76,0 % . Depressed mood was found in 56, 0 % respondents and 25, 0 % had suicidal attempt. We disclosed statistically confident correlation between disease duration and suicidal attempts (p < 0, 05). There were more suicidal attempts in younger patients than others (p < 0, 05). Conclusions: Most frequent everyday and self-care problems were: (1) unemployment, poor incomes, sleep disorders, difficulties in household activities; (2) physical fatigue, memory and attention disorders; (3) everyday and self-care problems most frequently occurred with older respondents. Patients with schizophrenia encounter communication problems with friends and relatives irrespective to their age. The most frequent emotional problems were: apathy 60, 0 %, depression 56, 0 %, lack of self-confidence 49%.

Mental health challenges are on the rise globally, necessitating innovative and scalable surveillance strategies. This paper investigates how social media data and Electronic Health Records (EHRs) can be integrated using data analytics and artificial intelligence to detect early mental health patterns. It reviews cutting-edge methods prior to May 2023, including natural language processing (NLP), federated learning, and explainable AI (XAI), while emphasizing the need for privacy-preserving practices and ethical oversight. A real-time suicide prevention system pilot is discussed as a case study. The paper aims to serve as a roadmap for ethically sound implementation of AI in public mental health monitoring. Furthermore, it considers the role of cross-sector collaboration, algorithm accountability, and equitable access in shaping the future of scalable and compassionate mental health technologies.

Health, according to the World Health Organization, is a state in which people have achieved their physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being and are not restricted to any particular disease or its treatment. In keeping with that idea, mental health refers to a person's physical autonomy, sense of competence in reaching their intellectual and emotional potential, ability to manage the stresses of everyday life, and ability to contribute to their community. According to recent studies, India has the largest tribal populations in the world, and a sizable portion of these people suffer from a variety of mental health conditions. The state of mental health conditions among India's tribal groups and their collective capacity, based on their knowledge and beliefs, to address the new issues that are causing an increase in mental health problems among themselves are discussed in the following article. Previous studies have also indicated that each tribal society's unique and distinctive culture has influenced how they interpret mental health concerns, which has helped them develop different approaches to managing or treating them. According to earlier studies, the authorities frequently force their policies and choices on tribal groups without consulting them. This has resulted in a number of obstacles that prevent the tribal groups from effectively managing particular mental health-related illnesses. Therefore, the essay that follows makes the case that a belief-based, culturally unique approach to the effective and long-term screening and treatment of mental health-related problems and disorders among the vulnerable can be seen as a feasible substitute in the future.

Services users are becoming actively involved in mental health research. How this is perceived by other researchers is not well known. The aim of this article is to review the international literature exploring other mental health researchers' views of service users conducting research, between 1996 and 2016. Searches of multiple databases (PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, and Google Scholar) were undertaken. Combinations of terms related to service user research and mental health researcher perspectives, views, and attitudes were used. Manual inquiry of reference lists was also undertaken. Relevant papers were coded by topic, location, study design, and other dimensions. Five articles met inclusion criteria. Most referred to perceived benefits, such as greater validity of research findings, challenges of collaborating with service users, and the validity of research findings. There was some evidence of more openness to mental health service users providing suggestions, preferably in early stages of the research process. Reluctance to co-research with service users was reported. There is limited research directly addressing other mental health researchers' views about service user research; barriers to inclusion (whether involvement, co-production or user-controlled) and creating incongruence with health policy statements. Further research to more fully understand these attitudes and how they might be influenced is warranted.

This study reports on a small collaborative research project started by service users, and on a subject chosen by them, and then carried out with staff from a local NHS Trust and University. • It looks at the choices people make in changing or stopping mental health medica- tions, and their experiences of how professional staffs were either helpful or unhelpful in advising and helping them with these choices. Some of the themes generated in the focus groups are examined in detail and recommendations made for practice including the need for better information giving to support choice. • The themes examined include 'the two faces of service provision' which looks at positive and less positive experiences of service provision, the general practice/ mental health divide which points out differences and difficulties between general practice and specialist practice, and 'becoming an informed service user' which examines the many sources of information available to service users and how they use these.

Background The study estimated service coverage for severe mental disorders (psychosis, bipolar disorder and moderate-severe depression), globally and regionally, using data collected from the Mental Health Atlas 2017. Methods Service coverage was defined as the proportion of people with a disorder contacting a mental health service among those estimated to have the disorder during a 12-month period. We drew upon 12-month service utilisation data from the Mental Health Atlas 2017. Expected prevalent cases of individual disorders were estimated using the disorder-specific prevalence rate estimates of the Global Burden of Disease Study 2016 and total population sizes. Methods for assessing the validity of country-reported service utilisation data were developed and applied. Background: Many developed nations have made recovery-oriented practice a central part of their mental health policy, though less is known about whether mental health outpatients' access to social capital can improve their recovery process. Aims: This study investigates the relationship between the recovery process and access to social capital for people with severe mental health conditions. Methods: This is a secondary analysis of a six-month follow-up study. Service users were recruited from five Community Mental Health Teams in England and interviewed at baseline (n=151) and six-month follow-up (n=127). The recovery process was assessed using the Questionnaire about the Process of Recovery (QPR). All statistical analyses (Pearson's correlations and multiple regression) were conducted at two different points in time (p< 0.05). Results: The participants' experience of recovery increased slightly from baseline (M=45.2, SD=12.18) to six-month follow-up (M=49.72, SD=12.52), which is indicative of recovery. At follow-up, their access to social capital was positively associated with service users' experience of recovery (B=0.40 p<0.01). People with higher mental well-being scores and more social connections had a better experience of recovery. Conclusions: This study supports the idea that the experience of recovery can be measured and should be defined by service users. People with higher mental wellbeing scores and more social connections had a better experience of recovery. In unterschiedlichsten Diskursen manifestieren sich seit einigen Jahren, insbesondere seit der Coronapandemie, Erschöpfungserscheinungen. Viele Menschen fühlen sich von der neoliberalen Leistungs- und Wettbewerbsgesellschaft überfordert oder sind wütend aufgrund anhaltender rassistischer und sexistischer Strukturen. Tradierte Formen und Gattungen der Literatur scheinen in Anbetracht neuer medialer Ausdruckmöglichkeiten überholt und geisteswissenschaftliche Methoden und Kanones nicht mehr auf der Höhe der Zeit zu sein.
Die hier versammelten wissenschaftlichen und künstlerischen Beiträge berühren literarische, gesellschaftliche, politische und ökologische Erschöpfungsphänomene. Sie nehmen die Prosa Franz Kafkas ebenso in den Blick wie deutschsprachigen Diskurspop, die Siedlungsgemeinschaft auf dem Monte Verità, zeitgenössische Kinder- und Jugendliteratur, niedersorbische Märchen oder die Poetik des Nature Writing. Damit bietet der Band ein facettenreiches Panorama der Erschöpfungsliteratur vom 19. Jahrhundert bis in die Gegenwart.

Mental health is still an important basic need. Myths and misconceptions that Indonesians believe about mental health. For this reason, I t is necessary to educate the public about mental health properly. This activity was carried out in Pabuaran Village, Kemang District, Bogor Regency. Education about mental health aims to raise and increase public awareness about mental health. The implemntation of this activity is carried out by brainstorming, dicsussion, and games. The success of the implementation of this community service activity can be seen from changes in attitudes and behaviors that reflect a mentally healthy personality.

The current UK Government's focus on the development of services to manage and support offenders with mental health problems has resulted in a number of innovative project developments. This research examines a service development in the North East of England which co-located Mental Health nurses with two Integrated Offender Management teams. While not solving all problems, the benefits of co-location were clear -although such innovations are now at risk from government changes which will make Integrated Offender Management the responsibility of new providers without compelling them to co-operate with health services.

PURPOSE-To inform efforts to reduce costly service utilization, the present study examined longitudinal trajectories of mental health-related outpatient and residential service use among atrisk youth with a history of early externalizing problems. Track project, a multi-site longitudinal study of children at risk for conduct disorder, were followed prospectively from kindergarten through 12 th grade. They resided in high-risk areas with high rates of poverty, crime, and violence. Their outpatient and residential service use was assessed annually between 6 th through 12 th grades through parent report. Growth mixture modeling (GMM) was applied to model individual differences in trajectories of service use during this period. Teacher, parent, and observer-reported childhood predictors of those trajectories were also examined. The majority of youths had minimal service use during pre-adolescence into adolescence. However, approximately 31% had moderate probability of using outpatient counseling services, and approximately 8% had elevated probability of seeing a family doctor for mental health needs. For residential services, approximately 6% had moderate to high probability of service use that peaked during transition to high school, whereas close to 5% had service use that dramatically increased during high school. Childhood predictors of these trajectories included earlier externalizing, internalizing, and emotion regulation problems. CONCLUSIONS-This study is the first to use person-centered analytic methods to examine longitudinal trajectories in mental health-related service use among at-risk adolescents. Timely treatment for severe externalizing problems, comorbid internalizing problems, and emotion dysregulation during childhood may be crucial for preventing chronic service use.

Carer mental health literacy and help seeking are areas that are not well researched in the intellectual disability field. This study aimed to explore the above including service utilization experiences of Australian parents with an offspring with an intellectual disability and a comorbid psychiatric disorder. Forty-one parents took part in an online survey assessing satisfaction and helpfulness ratings of received services. Twenty-six parents also completed items to assess mental health literacy and attitudinal barriers to help seeking. Parents showed good mental health literacy with depression and with challenging behaviour associated with autism and poorer literacy with mixed presentations. Few attitudinal barriers to help seeking were reported. Parents reported varied helpfulness and satisfaction ratings with disability and mental health services.
