Although information and communication technologies have become an integral part of life in the United States, they have not yet been adequately integrated into adult language and literacy programs. This raises concerns because of the potential value of technology for enhancing learning and because of the vital role of technological proficiency as a gatekeeper for occupational success and full civic participation. Research findings on the impact of technology in education are mixed, but a few studies among adult learners suggest benefits worth exploring. This paper describes the potential contribution of emerging technologies to adult literacy and language education and the opportunities and challenges involved in incorporating these technologies into adult education programs. Various emerging technologies (those arising or undergoing fundamental transformation in the last decade) are described, ranging from audio and video production to games, wikis and blogs, to mobile devices, cell phones and open-source software. Relevant research is reviewed, and the costs, difficulties and advantages of deploying various technological approaches in adult education are discussed. Although current research is insufficient to urge wholesale adoption of the technologies described, many-especially low-cost mobile deviceswarrant further investigation as potentially valuable tools for adult educators and learners.

E-books, print on demand, online sales sites, the boom in mobile phones… new technologies are profoundly transforming the way texts circulate. Developing countries, however, which face serious limitations in infrastructure, have a considerable challenge ahead of them.

What new actors are emerging in the countries of the South, outside of the powerful platforms already existing in the US, Europe and Japan? Is it conceivable that there may be an autonomous evolution of digital publications in developing countries, entirely independent of the richest nations? What support policies could be implemented to promote the growth of this new industry and accompany traditional actors in the process of adapting to the changes involved?

The digital experiences undertaken in the South suggest that new technologies represent a great opportunity for developing countries – particularly in terms of diffusion –, but on the condition that local entrepreneurs seek out original models adapted to the concrete needs of their communities.

The publication of material in 'electronic form' should ideally preserve, in a unified document representation, all of the richness of the printed document while maintaining enough of its underlying structure to enable searching and other forms of semantic processing. Until recently it has been hard to find a document representation which combined these attributes and which also stood some chance of becoming a de facto multi-platform standard.

Research has indicated the importance of evaluating the experiences related to developing e-portfolios (electronic portfolio) to contribute to the overall excellence in teaching and learning. Researchers (instructors) of the present study used an exit e-portfolios, a questionnaire and follow up interviews to describe development and evaluation of e-portfolios with teacher education graduates in their final capstone experience at a major UAE (United Arab Emirates) national university. There is not any such research study conducted in the UAE and there are few studies conducted, in the topic, internationally. This study described the process of developing an e-portfolio and examined its validity and participants' perceptions to assess teaching performance in the UAE. E-portfolios and surveys of 67 pre-service teachers were included in the analysis and findings. A questionnaire was developed by the authors to examine common perceptions. Analyses of quantitative and qualitative data were presented. A major result indicated that the use of e-portfolio is considered as a pragmatic vehicle to assess pre-service teachers' performance and evaluate teacher education programs.

Recently, attempts have been made to use Weblogs and other personal webpublishing technologies to support individual and social reflection in higher education. Weblogs can be highly individual and reflective in nature, and students’ experiences and perceptions of the technology and practice are of primary importance in furthering educational use. In this phenomenological study 8 participants who maintained Weblogs in a graduate course were interviewed. Initial data analysis indicates that participants found Weblogs helpful for learning, reflecting, and building a sense of community. However, participants expressed concerns over the lack of structure for Weblog usage and the public nature of the reflective process. Implications for future practical and research applications of Weblogs are presented.

The scientific publication process has been so far only marginally affected by the possibilities of the Internet. This may be attributed to a lack of sound business models and pilots to demonstrate the ultimate benefits of free scientific publication. A team of universities, Internet publishers and applied research institutes proposes in the framework of the SciX-project (open, self-organizing repository for scientific information exchange) to demonstrate these benefits and reengineer parts of the scientific publication process. In this study, we examined the implementation of an electronic health records (EHR) system in a small family practice clinic. We used three data collection instruments to evaluate user experience, work pattern changes, and organisational changes related to the implementation and use of the EHR system: (1) an EHR user survey, (2) interviews with key personnel involved in the EHR implementation project, and (3) a work analysis of clinic staff. A longitudinal design with two data-collection rounds was employed: data were collected prior to EHR implementation and after EHR implementation. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected and analysed. Employees of the small clinic perceived few changes in their work after the implementation of the EHR system, except for increased dependency on computers and a small increase in perceived workload. Because of the variety of types of collaboration services used in enterprises today, there is difficulty in integrating related work threads from different collaboration environments. Each collaboration tool differs in storage model, APIs, content organization, content addressing, content formats, user authentication, and user interface. Nevertheless users prefer to be able to choose which collaboration tool they use for a given interaction, and over the course of long-term collaboration, will typically use a variety of tools, including email, instant messages, wikis, blogs, web conferences, and shared documents. The solution presented here is to provide a federated integration of these different collaboration tools to make content access and transfer straight forward between different systems. Additionally, we enable the user to achieve this federation by working directly in the client application of their choice; we illustrate this with plug-ins for MS Outlook, Internet Explorer and Skype. Our architecture integrates both desktop and servercentric tools.

We present the ideas underlying Sc E X, a music typesetting system that we are developing at the University of Porto. The focus is on the languages used for representing music documents and on the graphic editor that provides a means for their preparation.

Students with intellectual disabilities are taking the lead conducting participatory action research (PAR) to chronicle their college experience as part of a national college access initiative. This research currently involves college students with intellectual disabilities documenting their experiences using multimedia tools. These data are then shared via a digital storytelling website, VoiceThread. This article presents an overview of PAR, digital storytelling, and the methodology used to implement PAR with students with intellectual disabilities. Themes from the students' work highlight their impressions of college, their adjustment to new expectations and responsibilities, and their recommendations to improve this experience. The researcher's findings and conclusions about facilitating research with young adults with intellectual disabilities are described.

University students are increasingly choosing to purchase e-textbooks for their mobile devices as an alternative to traditional textbooks. This study examines the relationship between textbook format and 538 university students' grades and perceived learning scores. Results demonstrate that there was no difference in cognitive learning and grades between the two groups, suggesting that the electronic textbook is as effective for learning as the traditional textbook. The mean scores indicated that students who chose e-textbooks for their education courses had significantly higher perceived affective learning and psychomotor learning than students who chose to use traditional print textbooks.

This present study has been conceived to study the status of usage of E-Resources available under INDEST-AICTE Consortium by the Library Users of NIT, Silchar. Descriptive Research Method (Case Study of NIT Library Users) was adopted using self designed questionnaire incorporating some modification from the previous study conducted on usage of e-resources available under UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium by Sinha (2010) [1]. The study was conducted on NIT Library Users which comprises of faculty members, Research Scholars, UG and PG Students perusing Engineering and Management Courses. Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) is a technique used to teach in large lectures and tutorials. It invokes interaction, team building, learning and interest through highly structured group work. Currently, POGIL has only been implemented in traditional classroom settings where all participants are physically present. However, advances in online learning technologies have prompted increases in the popularity of flexible delivery and distance education courses. Therefore, teaching methodologies need to reflect the changing student demographic. This paper describes a preliminary approach for adapting POGIL techniques for use in tertiary courses delivered online. We discuss the current technologies that can be used for teaching online and contrast their suitability for POGIL. A teaching format is presented using Web 2.0 technologies (a wiki, blogs, and social networking) as a starting point for POGIL. We describe how an online third year Information Technology subject adopted these technologies for a condensed implementation of POGIL.

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an educational paradigm that promotes the development of highly valuable soft skills. PBL can be combined with other approaches, such as collaborative learning, to enhance students' team skills. Nucleo is a blended learning approach where students work in selfregulated teams. Nucleo combines Problem-Based Learning, collaborative learning, role-play game dynamics and a fantasy metaphor. In this paper we describe how the Moodle Learning Management System is being used to support the development of Nucleo learning scenarios in courses with a total of more than 300 students. The approach is implemented by combining built-in tools of the LMS and specific plug-ins. Plug-ins provide support for Vermunt's ILS (used to build the teams), for assigning roles in the teams or managing groups, among others. Although this work is focused on the Moodle platform, the paradigm can be repurposed and applied to different environments.

This paper discusses how ePortfolios, initially introduced to students in a Music Education degree program on a trial basis, are subsequently being integrated into subjects of this degree program. Discussion includes staff perspectives, and covers the varying ways ePortfolio components are utilised in a range of subject areas, issues staff encounter in introducing ePortfolios into their subjects, methods to adapt existing assessment assignments into ePortfolio tasks, and ways in which the inclusion of ePortfolio work leads to changes in learning and teaching practices. Challenges of assessing in an ePortfolio environment are explored, and a map of ePortfolios in the final years of the degree program is discussed. The mapping process, whereby ePortfolio work is perceived as transitioning into the content of this degree program, is explained and demonstrated. The paper covers the design of the map that targets the sequential development of students' ePortfolio skills through subjects in the degree program. Mapping assessment tasks for any degree program is ongoing, and researchers in this case rely on student products and formal and informal feedback to continue designing assessment tasks in a meaningful way to engage eLearners in developing ePortfolios for use inside and outside this degree program. The process is not about creating more work for students and staff, or re-inventing existing curricula by removing and adding tasks. It is about evaluating existing assessment tasks in this degree program and modifying them to act viably in an information technology environment to reflect and advance student learning.

• الإحصاءات الرقمية تتعلق بالأجناس اللغوية والصحفية في الجرائد الثلاث: العرب والراية والشرق على مدار عام كامل (عام 2017).

The present study was framed using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to identify determinants affecting behavioral intention to use YouTube. Most importantly, this research emphasizes the motives for using YouTube, which is notable given its extrinsic task goal of being used for procedural learning tasks. Our conceptual framework included two proximal antecedents of behavioral intention as proposed by the TAMperceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Additionally, the four first-order constructs of user satisfaction, content richness, vividness, and YouTube self-efficacy, as well as one second-order construct of content richness, were additionally incorporated into the framework by elaborating the theoretical structure. Sample data was collected from 432 respondents who were given the opportunity to engage in procedural learning through YouTube in a lab setting. The results derived from fitting the structural equation model on the sample indicated that behavioral intention was significantly influenced by both perceived usefulness and user satisfaction. Moreover, task-technology fit, content richness, vividness, and YouTube self-efficacy emerged as significant predictors of perceived usefulness. However, perceived ease of use was not significantly predictive of either perceived usefulness or behavioral intention. Our proposed model explained 43.8% of the variance in behavioral intention. Overall findings suggest that YouTube may augment its function as a common channel for procedural learning and instruction.

The interactive functions of weblogs facilitate computer-mediated peer reviews for collaborative writing. As limited research has been conducted on examining the training effects of peer reviews on students' peer comments, their revision quality, and their perceptions when composing in weblogs, the present case study aims to fill the gap. Thirteen freshman students participated in an EFL writing class, in which they wrote four formal assignments in weblogs. Peer review training was conducted in the second and third assignments to facilitate the collaborative process. Comparisons between reviews without and with training (i.e., the first and the fourth assignments) indicate that the students made more revision-oriented peer comments and had more success in revising their compositions, although they adopted less than 50% of the comments for revision. The students' perception data show that blog-enhanced instruction stimulated their interest in improving their writing. Yet, not all of the participants felt confident about providing useful peer feedback. With the empirical evidence presented in the study, blogs could serve as a suitable platform for EFL writing instruction concerning giving opportunities for interaction. As training is essential to make computer-mediated peer review effective, the study supports the crucial role played by language teachers when incorporating Internet technologies into writing instruction.

UNITED AIRLINES AND ITS “CONTRACT OF CARRIAGE”

On April 9th, a video showing police officers forcibly dragging a passenger off a United Airlines flight sparked outrage on social media.  United asked for four volunteers in order to make room for United employees after passengers had been boarded and seated on the flight.  The selected passenger, Dr. David Dao, was a 69 year-old Asian American doctor. He refused to leave the plane since he was seeing patients the following morning, and he was then removed off the plane by force.

Under federal rules, commercial airlines are governed by a contract, referred to as the “Contract of Carriage” or COC.  A COC imposes legal duties upon carriers and protects the legal rights of passengers.  In justifying its actions removing Dr. Dao from the plane, United Airlines cited Rule 25 in its COC which is titled “Denied Boarding Compensation”.  The United COC’s Rule 25 applies when a passenger is denied boarding.  When there is an oversold United Airlines flight that originates in the U.S. or Canada, United can seek volunteers.  If there are not enough volunteers, other passengers may be denied boarding involuntarily in accordance with United’s boarding priority, but United provides transportation and compensation to the involuntarily denied passengers.  Plainly, this Rule does not seem to apply to the involuntary removal off a plane or to a refusal to transport once a passenger has boarded a plane – in other words, to the circumstances of this case.

Rule 21 in the United COC, entitled “Refusal of Transport” covers circumstances when a passenger who has already boarded a plane can be removed.  Under Rule 21, United has the right to refuse to transport or remove from the aircraft at any point any passenger for concerns such as unruly behavior, intoxication, inability to fit into one seat, and the like.  But Rule 21 does not seem to discuss overbooking or removal of passengers to satisfy United’s need for additional seats.  It follows that passengers may not be removed from a plane for any reason not listed in Rule 21.  In short, the legal basis under which United Airlines forcibly removed Dr. Dao off their plane is unclear and perhaps even questionable.

The video showing the manner in which Dr. Dao was removed off the plane sparked outrage in China.  Within four days, Dr. Dao’s story was read 910 million times on Weibo, China’s Twitter.  They analyzed and criticized United’s lottery system for selecting volunteers.

Social media and the Internet magnify our voices by making it easier and faster to attract public attention compared to other forms of communication.  The Internet which serves as the backbone of social media is international, and it is easy and cheap to mobilize massive public attention.

Airlines operating between the U.S. and China are very profitable.  In 2016, visitors between the U.S. and China increased 17% compared to 2015.  Many international airlines are attracted to China’s second-tier and third-tier cities.  United Airlines is one of them.  United’s share of the air travel market from China to the U.S. is about 20%, and United cooperates with China Airlines for internal air transportation in China.But this incident may seriously damage its reputation in China.

Dr. Dao settled his case against United, and so we will not know how a court would have interpreted the Rules in United’s Contract of Carriage,as applied to this incident.  It will be interesting to see if, going forward, United decides to modify the terms of its COC.

This Impact Report identifies and summarises the diverse impacts, resulting from the £500m of UK funding of Science and Technology in 2013, using numerous quantitative metrics and short case study extracts.  It shows how the varied impacts of a national science and technology organization and its many funded programmes can be annually identified, captured, tracked, and summarised in a public document.

The report was produced for, and by, the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) -  the UK Research Council responsible for funding: (1) all UK astronomy, particle and nuclear physics research, (2) related UK science and technology facilities (e.g. as Harwell and Daresbury), (3) the UK contribution to international science (e.g. CERN, international telescopes and space missions), (4) innovation and business spin-off programmes, and (5) UK public engagement activities.

The Report was co-researched and co-authored by the STFC Impact Team, including myself while Impact Evaluation Manager in 2013, with Dr. Claire Dougan-McCallie (lead author/Head of Impact) and Jenny Beard, with additional input from senior managers, and many data and case study contributions from other key managers across STFC.

Varied key impacts are identified and reported including:

• Research amongst the best (by citation impact) in astronomy, nuclear and particle physics.
• Supported research of 226 Principal Investigators in 70 universities, led to 1,100 peer-reviewed papers in 2012.
• Facilities (the Diamond Light Source, ISIS and CLF) were used in 2012/13 by over 4,200 unique users , in over 2,400 experiments, producing over 1,000 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

• Technology from CERN benefited the UK economy by over £100 billion every year.
• Funding the development of the UK’s space, internet and computer animation industries, returned over £500 billion to the UK economy per annum.
• Funded Innovation Campuses hosted over 230 enterprises and supported over 5,000 jobs.
• UK industry won £43 million in contracts from the international subscriptions funded, and had accumulated a total of £150 million since 2005.

• Funded research inspired future generations to study STEM subjects, attracting 90% of UK undergraduates to study physics, funded 782 PhD students  and 16,800 student training days.
• Between 2009 to 2012 public engagement programmes engaged people on 58 million occasions, with 2 million people engaged in face-to-face activities in 2013 alone.

E-book reader, as an evolutionary artifact for digital reading, has caught attention all over the world. In this customer-centered era, understanding why users adopt and continue using e-book readers (e.g. eReaders and digital devices equipped with reader software) become essential design issues for related scholars and practitioners. However, critical design factors are still obscure due to the rapid pace of development and innovation in information technology. In this paper, we employ two methods including customer observation and individual depth interview to disclosure user behavioral intention toward the latest e-book readers. This research found that potential adopter intention to adopt is solely determined by normative pressures, whereas user intention is solely determined by attitude, which refers to the perception of content enrichment, reading servicisation, and device personalization. Grounded on our result and discoveries, not only researchers could have guidance in developing e-book theories in the future, but also service providers could have driving forces in advancing e-book readers.

High temperature nuclear reactors are a technology, of which early versions were demonstrated in the 1960s-1980s in Germany (AVR, THTR) and the United States (Peach Bottom, Fort St. Vrain). HTRs were initially designed for high temperature, high efficiency electricity generation but the technology, the market and the targeted applications have evolved since then to address industrial cogeneration and new operational conditions (in particular new safety regulations). This paper intends to analyse the latest status of HTR today, as regards their intrinsic strengths and weaknesses and their external context, whether positive (opportunities) or negative (threats). Different dimensions are covered by the analysis: technology status, results from R&D programmes (especially in Europe), competences and skills, licensing aspects, experience feedback from demonstrator operation (in particular in Germany), economic conditions and other non-technical aspects. Europe has a comprehensive experience in the field of HTR with capabilities in both pebble bed and prismatic designs (R&D, engineering, manufacturing, operation, dismantling, and the full fuel cycle). Europe is also a promising market for HTR as the process heat market is large with good industrial and cogeneration infrastructures. The analysis of the European situation is to a good deal indicative for the global potential of this technology.

This is an idiosyncratic guide to self-publishing. We think that self-publishers should craft their own hybrid publishing and distribution solutions. This booklet, we hope, is an aide for those curious about the process and who may want to start doing their own publishing.

Temporary Services has been actively thinking about, making, talking about, selling, and giving away publications for over 16 years. We have written or said things in interviews and lectures about our publishing, but we have never sat down to craft a long-form essay about our efforts and where they fit in the larger world of artist books, artist publishing and book making. This booklet is an attempt to articulate our ideas about publishing, particularly in light of the current post-digital environment. It was published to be given away during the life of our temporary print shop called Publishing Clearing House.

Here is a description of that initiative:

Strangely, in our 16 years of working together, we had never done a project that was just focused on making publications. When people find out that we run Half Letter Press, they often ask us where our press is located—we have to tell them that we actually work with other printers to make everything. While we probably won’t be making offset printed and perfect bound books in our own facility any time soon, we have purchased our own Risograph duplicator (a.k.a RISO) and a booklet stapling and folding machine—both of which were used to make parts of this booklet.

Publishing Clearing House is an initiative that will be a temporary, fully functioning print shop. Temporary Services—with Kione Kochi, Kristian Johansson, and Leah Mackin—will work with invited collaborators to produce new booklets and printed works during the run of the show, sharing and launching publications.

In banking and finance, clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment is made for a transaction until it is settled. In Publishing Clearing House, clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment to an author is made, until the publication is designed, printed, stapled, folded and distributed. Making a clearing is also about creating a space for meeting and making processes visible, open and transparent.

For this effort, we have invited a diverse range of individuals, groups, and organizations with an emphasis on Chicago, the Midwest, and artists, activists and authors not always included in the 0conversations of the dominant culture. This includes juveniles and the incarcerated, as well as those who represent or articulate narratives counter to dominant cultural norms. Visitors will be able to meet members of Temporary Services and some collaborating authors on many days of the exhibition, and watch the mechanics of the print shop as works are developed and produced. We will make the entire process of making a book, which is always socially engaged in some manner, more visible than it usually is.

Researchers in digital humanities have for many years been producing online editions of texts based on TEI XML, a widely-adopted standard for marking up textual resources with semantic content. However, this has led to a certain isolation of information, the so-called 'digital silo', and such modes of digital publication have not always made best use of the possibilities of digital technologies. The model is also challenged by the need to model texts that are by their very nature interconnected. The paper describes a collaborative environment of tools and techniques for working with texts that allows scholars to work with such highlyinterconnected material.

Public e-procurement is the use of electronic means for publishing, processing, exchanging and storing all the information related to institutional purchases in public organizations. It requires complex technological tools which must comply with legal and organizational constraints. We present in this article an analysis of French public purchase procedures and a state of the art concerning available platforms for public eprocurement in France. This analysis is the basis of a critical evaluation of the selected platforms.

Among the wide range of digital libraries, an interesting, yet quite neglected, subclass is constituted by those exclusively dealing with newspaper clippings. Compared with book–oriented digital libraries, clipping libraries are more difficult to seize, since they are wide and unstructured, and the subjects and content of a clipping are completely heterogeneous. LAURIN is an EU–funded project involving seventeen participants from several countries, including two software companies and a large group of libraries, whose main purpose is to set up a network of digitalized newspaper clipping archives that can be easily accessed through the Internet, for searching and retrieving clippings. The project also provides the libraries with models and methodologies to be used for scanning, digitalizing, storing, indexing, and making accessible newspaper clippings. It is clear that both libraries and publishers in Africa will want to fully embrace the advantages and opportunities now offered by what is commonly referred to as the ‘digital revolution’. However, despite the enormous benefits of the new digital information environment, there are also a good number of caveats. While free access to many high-quality information sources and databases can be seen as a levelling of the playing field, and addresses some of the inequalities of access in the past, it also has its challenges and potential pitfalls.

Academic libraries in Africa have had to adapt new technologies in order to satisfy today’s user expectations.  Yet at the same time university libraries in Africa have been battling with declining budgets, and serious and chronic underfunding for over three decades now.

Amidst all the digital euphoria, and the constant proliferation of electronic information sources, a number of common myths and misconceptions have emerged, especially so among students. One misconception is that all information is available online, on the Internet, whether free or from fee-based services, and that most of the information anyone requires nowadays for study and research can be tracked down by Google searches or other search engines. The second misconception is that traditional print resources are now largely obsolete and need no longer be consulted in research; and visits to the library are no longer required. This is fallacious thinking on several counts.

There have been a good number of studies on reading preferences, and access and use of print vs. electronic resources at African university institutions. Their findings tend to vary among different disciplines, but most seem to indicate that both undergraduates and graduate students still expect a mixture of print and electronic resources to meet their information needs.

This discussion document argues that digital resources have not, and cannot, completely replace physical information resources. At the majority of academic institutions in Africa – and indeed those elsewhere – students and scholars will continue to need access to both digital and traditional print materials, in the foreseeable future at least.

The World-Wide Web (W3) initiative is a practical project to bring a global information universe into existence using available technology. This article describes the aims, data model, and protocols needed to implement the “web”, and compares them with various contemporary systems.

This chapter seeks to examine a phenomenon that has gone largely unexplored: the rise of digitally-born Australian literary journals since the 1990s. My intent is to demonstrate how such journals in the digital sphere also exert material influence within the literary field in very specific ways. In particular, I will argue that the journals I have chosen to examine display the five key traits—also common among other digitally-born Australian literary journals—which clarify the way that such publications shape the broader literary field: 1) they focus on specific, high-cultural literary forms; 2) they circulate among established literary networks of producer-consumers; 3) they increase the social capital of their editors; 4) they either problematise or reinforce the boundaries of national literary discourse; and 5) they either seek to include writers who are typically excluded by more mainstream literary discourse, or else reflect the hierarchical distinctions and exclusionary practices of material literary networks.

Blogging has been recommended as a suitable tool for learning during internship due to its associated usefulness in collaborative learning, reflection, communication, and social support. In this study, blogging was incorporated into the internship activities of two discipline-specific groups of interns: information management (n ¼ 53) and nursing (n ¼ 28). In examining the behavior, perceptions and processes of blogging among interns from the two disciplines, a mixed-methods design was used to obtain quantitative and qualitative data through structured interviews and blogging entries. Results revealed that the interns engaged regularly in the writing and reading of their own blogs, and commented on others' blog-writing. The interns perceived blogs to be useful during internship in providing an avenue for knowledge construction, problem solving, reflection, and communicating their emotions. Positive perceptions were not influenced by discipline background, frequency of use, or blogging platform. Qualitative analyses of blog contents indicated that the students engaged in cognitive, metacognitive-reflective, affective, and social-collaborative learning processes in blogging. Higher engagement was found in cognitive and metacognitive processes. Responses to open-ended probes suggest that pedagogical factors (e.g., grading system, supervision) may also have influenced students' blogging behaviors and perceptions. Overall, this study offers evidence to support the use of blogging during internship as computer-based support for learning.
