Unsaturated radicals, containing different number of delocalized electrons, are formed via H-atom abstractions with CH 3 , iso-C 3 H 7 , OOH and OH radicals from (Z,Z) and (E,E)-hepta-2,5-dienes. These reactions and the relative stability of the different allyl-type radicals formed, were studied within the BH&HLYP method, using a 6-311þG(3df,2p) basis set, as well as within the G3MP2 level of theory on BH&HLYP/6-31G(d) geometries. The biallyl type radicals (involving 5 electrons delocalized on 5 carbon atoms) are more stable, by about 47.6 AE 0.4 kJ mol À1 , than monoallyl type radicals (which involve 3 electrons delocalized on 3 carbon atoms). Three types of the H-atom abstractions were distinguished: direct H-abstraction with CH 3 , indirect abstraction with a higher barrier height with iso-C 3 H 7 , OOH and a non-direct quasi-barrierless H-abstraction with OH radicals. These observations were also confirmed by the activation entropy versus activation enthalpy as well as the Evans-Pola´nyi's plots. The OOH-hepta-2,5-diene complexes are found to be extremely stable (from À19.6 to 22.3 kJ mol À1 ). The room temperature rate constants were calculated with transition state theory. Formations of monoallyl and biallyl radicals through H-abstraction with OH are fast; the calculated rate constants range from 5.84 Â 10 À11 to 1.92 Â 10 À9 cm 3 molecule À1 s À1 at room temperature. These reactions may play a key role in the ''very low temperature combustion'' like biological oxidations.

Boletín Académico recoge en cada número artículos de investigación originales, inéditos y especializados dedicados a la arquitectura contemporánea, pudiendo contar eventualmente con colaboraciones especiales según el criterio del Consejo Editorial.
La temática de la revista abarca todas las áreas de conocimiento que están presentes en las escuelas de arquitectura españolas, si bien los artículos deberán referenciar sus aportaciones teóricas a ejemplos de arquitectura contemporánea, incidiendo de manera especial en aquellos aspectos que hayan supuesto investigación, desarrollo tecnológico e innovación.

ABSTRACT
Boletín Académico. Revista de investigación y arquitectura contemporánea is a digital and annual publication that follows the procedure of peer-reviews and is edited in the Open Journal Systems (OJS) format.
Boletín Académico gathers in every issue original, unpublished and specialized articles of investigation dedicated to the contemporary architecture, being able to rely on eventually special collaborations according to the criterion of the Editorial Board. The subject matter of the publication includes all the areas of knowledge that are present in the Spanish Schools of Architecture, though the articles will have to index his theoretical contributions to examples of contemporary architecture, affecting in a special way in those aspects that have supposed investigation, technological development and innovation.

The continuous development of the Spanish economy, the large investments, the transformation of the society and the increase in international connections, had drawn public attention to contemporary Spanish architecture by the millennium. Through the medium of the press, the transformation of Spanish architecture is observable, with Spanish periodicals and monographs gaining ground among the international  professional issues, headed by the Spanish-English magazine El Croquis. Moreover, we are eyewitnesses to the emergence of the new Spanish architect generation, whose young associates have attracted considerable international interest; their works being built all over the world, enriching their reputation. This paper searches for the answer to the question: how did Spanish architecture reach public awareness from the complete  isolation, and what kind of social, cultural and economic factors played a part in this process.

The resource paper analyses the contemporary Spanish architecture of museums and exhibition spaces based on different architectural aspects. The increasing number of museums in the last 20 years intensifies the actuality of the topic – contemporary museologists have established a tendency of building new museums. The continuous growth of the number and types of exhibition spaces demand a new way of systematization. In addition, museum has become some kind of community place, which situates the exhibited works of art in a new context, providing wide perspective for examining art, architecture and their connection, and giving a general idea of that in the examined epoch.
The aspects of the analysis developed by ourselves have an approach based on design, completing the existing museological and historical bibliography. The architecture of exhibition spaces is one of the most independent genres and it allows unique forming of space and volume, however, there are strict tendencies that make their classifying possible.

The paper analyses the role of building rehabilitations based on the three pillars of sustainability: environmental consciousness, economic sustainability and social responsibility; to verify that all these aspects of sustainable development are accentuated in the rehabilitation of historic buildings. Beyond these aspects the study emphasizes the particular criteria of social sustainability highlighting the significance of contemporary use and conversion of built heritage. In the issue of historical continuity – local identity the tradition is displayed as a determinative element of the image of the local community. Related to the search for local identity the continuity of built heritage may be dominant for a population – especially in Central Europe where because of the specific political background the appearance of modernism equals a cultural rupture. Exploring the question of urban continuity – fitting it can be established that built heritage preserved by current usage enriches the city with connotational contents providing reference points in space and time for the local community. The third subtopic, the issue of functional continuity – functional change investigates the idea of integrated monument protection, emphasizing the importance of continuous usage of the heritage that is elemental for the sustainability of a monument. The examples presented in the paper, the high-quality, well-functioning projects from the last 10 years of Central European architecture justify the raison d'etre of building rehabilitations.
