Physical and health education

Purpose -The school subject of physical education (PE) has experienced a "health turn" globally. However, some university undergraduate programs may need to be revised to adequately equip pre-service teachers to teach about health in schools. The aim of this study was to explore the content of an undergraduate university program in PE and what is expected for pre-service PE teachers to teach about health in schools, according to the relevant curricula. Design/methodology/approach -A pragmatic discourse analysis was conducted, using the Argentinean PE school curriculum for primary and secondary schools in the province of C� ordoba and the syllabus of an undergraduate university program in PE in use in the same province. Findings -Results suggest that there is no health education content or teaching strategies offered in the university PE degree and that the brief content about health is mainly presented from a biological perspective and in relation to informal settings. The schools' PE curriculum, however, demonstrate a broader and more holistic approach to health, including the topic of sexuality and healthy interactions with others and with the environment. Nevertheless, there is no definition of "health" or what it might mean to be "healthy". Originality/value -The knowledge produced by this study is crucial as it demonstrates the mismatch of the content and teaching strategies delivered in undergraduate degrees in PE and the requirements of what teachers are required to teach in school PE.

Based on it, this article has highlighted on pedagogical principles towards development of physiotherapy curriculums. This research aims to know physical fitness of woman students who get menstruating and those who are not. Result of research expected to be useful for parents to add knowledge of how physical fitness level at daughter who are menstruating and not. Research methodology used survey method with the quantitative and qualitative approach. Population in this research amount to 413, while sampel used is 41. Data collecting use interview, observation, documentation and the Physical Tes Fitness of Indonesia. This research result can be concluded descriptively quantitative that physical fitness level of woman student menstruating moderate majority on the classification, with the percentage each classification that is, for the classification of very well 0%, both 10%, medium 17%, less 5%, and less so for 3%. While, woman student which is not menstruated the moderate majority on the classification also, with the percentage each classification that is, very well 7%, both 12%, medium 22%, less 12%, and less so 12%.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa tentang Napza di SMA Negeri 7 Palu. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan siswa mampu memahami dampak dari penggunaan Napza sehingga dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa agar menghindari penggunaan Napza. The concept of Physical Literacy was reinvigorated twenty-five years ago by M. Whitehead and has since gained an ever broader ground in all continents. It essentially describes a human activity of great importance, the individuals' embodied ability to maintain their movement throughout the life course in order to enhance their quality of life. Because physical literacy was associated with various aspects of an individual's life and with all ages, numerous groups around the world adopted its objectives and principles, specific policies were developed and programmes were implemented for its promotion, while books were written and several scientific articles were published on the subject. This review article explores the integration of modern technology in physical education,
emphasizing its transformative impact on teaching and learning processes. As educational landscapes evolve,
technology has emerged as a pivotal tool for enhancing engagement, motivation, and accessibility in physical
education settings. This article various technological advancements, including virtual coaching Apps, mobile
applications, augmented reality, data analysis and performance tracking, gamification and interactive
learning, accessibility and inclusivity apps, and online platforms, highlighting their applications in
curriculum design, assessment, and skill development. Through a comprehensive analysis of current
literature, we identify the benefits and challenges associated with technology use in physical education,
including improved performance tracking, personalized learning experiences, and potential disparities in
access. The findings underscore the necessity for educators to adopt a balanced approach, leveraging
technology to complement traditional teaching methods while ensuring inclusivity and equity. This review
aims to provide students, educators, policymakers, and researchers with insights into effective strategies for
integrating technology into physical education, ultimately enhancing student outcomes and fostering a
lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

The aim of this paper is to identify the dominant discourses of health and wellbeing that are offered in health education in Swedish schools. Issues of health and wellbeing are covered mainly in four school subjects in Sweden: physical education and health, home and consumer studies, biology, and social studies, and therefore, we interviewed teachers from those subjects to generate data. Six interrelated health discourses were identified from the data. All discourses were, however, also embedded within a health discourse with a comprehensive description of health as physical, psychological and social wellbeing. Results suggest that schools offer a Western and White discourse of health and that some content is overemphasised, and some is missing in relation to other non-dominant discourses of health and wellbeing.

Sweden received worldwide attention for its approach to managing the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, throughout the pandemic, Sweden was one of the few countries that did not implement any lockdown measures. This meant that primary schools remained open and classes proceeded as usual, including the delivery of physical education (PE). This paper explores PE teachers' perceptions of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Swedish PE. Data were collected through semistructured interviews with seven PE teachers. Results suggest that teaching PE during COVID-19 has led to disparate challenges and changes for teachers, including modifications in context, content, roles and responsibilities, as well as the handling of issues concerning physical contact and proximity among students and teachers. The conclusions of this study reveal that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the parameters of PE in Sweden are changing more rapidly now than ever before. Understanding how the pandemic has impacted the subject of PE and its delivery might create opportunities for further discussions, possible solutions and subsequent necessary adjustments in dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

This keynote address will explore how game-play in video games as well as approaches associated with the TGfU model asks us to reexamine traditional assumptions about learning. Drawing on the video game concept of game-as-teacher (Gee, 2007), and concepts such as enabling constraints from complexity thinking (Davis & Sumara, 2006), learning in this address will be framed as emergent, adaptive and self-organizing.

The aim of this study is to compare students of the personal brand of physical education with Students of other disciplines with an emphasis on effective communication skills Qasemi had 6 children. The method described in terms of strategy, in terms of the direction of scrolling implementation of the aim of development and practical. The population consisted of all undergraduate and graduate students of different trends in physical education and other fields in selected universities in 94 years and a statistical sample of 384 people also were considered. Research tools included two questionnaires assess personal branding (Ghasemi, 2015) and a questionnaire to determine the level of communication skills Ghasemi (2015), respectively. In this study, to determine the validity, content and structure (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis) and differential was used and the internal reliability (Cronbach's alpha), time and other items were used. According to the normal or non-normal data (Kolmogrov Smirnov test), confirmatory factor analysis and one-sample t test, t-test was used to compare between variables were analyzed Levin. The data analysis was performed using software SPSS version 22. Results showed that personal brand is significantly weaker students in the field of physical education and physical education in terms of students' writing skills, speaking, using modern communication tools daily and were significantly weaker and the skills of listening, reading, and language is the appropriate body significantly. In general, physical education is poor communication skills of students and personal brand of physical education students was significantly lower than non-PE students' personal brand.

Consumer culture and neoliberalism have significantly influenced contemporary globalised, Western(ised) and highly visual societies. These influences have also infiltrated physical education settings, contributing to market-driven surveillance of physical education teachers' physical appearance. This paper examines the reflections of a group of physical education teachers working at the primary and secondary levels in Spain concerning subjectivities of bodies and professional practices. It draws on semi-structured interview data and the Foucauldian concepts of Panopticon and surveillance to explore the ways in which the participants were influenced by the market and neoliberalism. The results of the study invite us to reflect on how images and messages from media may promote certain expectations for physical education teachers concerning physical appearance, dress and sports supplements consumption. The findings have implications for teacher education and the preparation of physical education teachers to resist dominant discourses promoted by the media.

Background: Quality of life (quality of life) is an individual's perception of his position in life and is related to goals, expectations, standards, and attention in life. Some research abroad has proven that students majoring in health have an interest in perfectionism and have high expectations of the intended achievements for improving the quality of life. Method: This research was a descriptive study with a sample of preclinical students of Universitas Airlangga. This research instrument consisted of a WHO-QOL questionnaire of 14 questions. The final results would be collected in the form of tables and percentages. Results: In this study obtained 78 respondents (66 women, 12 men) from 4 preclinical forces (2016: 5 people, 2017: 24 people, 2018: 16 people, and 2019: 33 people). Coronavirus affects the education system in the world. Schools, colleges, and universities are closed to control the spread of the coronavirus. School closure brings difficulties for students, teachers, and parents. So, online learning is a solution to continue the education system. Background: The number of refugees and displaced people who have been forced to migrate due to war, mass violence and political instability has reached unprecedented levels. Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the degree of depression, resilience and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in asylum-seeker war refugees, temporally stationed in Larisa, Central Greece, through self-administered questionnaire. Methods: A cross-sectional study carried out with asylum-seeker war refugees residing in Larisa at a number of apartments rented and ran by the UNHCR and the municipality of Larisa. For the data collection PHQ-9 questionnaire, CD-RISC questionnaire and Harvard Trauma questionnaire (HTQ) were used. Descriptive statistics were applied, as well as Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Simple regression, Pearson's correlation coefficient and one-way Anova was used. Results: A total of 64 immigrants (40 males and 23 females, 1-mssing value) agreed to participate in the research. The mean age was 35.72 (SD 7.45), 35 respondents were classified as increased PTSD (scores > 2.5). The results showed a physically and exhausted sample, with marginal mental strength (Mean = 59.38%), fluctuating between moderate (N% = 28.10%) and severe depression (N% = 28.10%). About one in two participants (N% = 54.70%) showed signs of post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD, reporting traumatic experiences that mainly involved immediate events of violence, i.e. beating, while there were very few cases of sexual abuse or violence. A key factor in the formulation of PTSD, depression and Mental Stress Indicators was found to be age but limited to 43 years. Conclusion: This study revealed that the refugees of the sample are tired, after being absent and idle for about 2 years from their homeland, in a marginal state of collapse. The most important event-hope that sustains its moderate resilience is the grant of asylum and the hope of arrival in the country of destination.

COVID-19 pandemic posed various challenges and issues in the education system in the country. The pandemic forced the schools to temporarily close to contain the spread of the virus. Thus, the School Year 2020-2021 became the "new normal" of education where traditional in-person learning shifted into distance learning which threatened not only the parents and learners but most especially the Department of Education. The pandemic created challenges to the Department of Education on what they can do to ensure that though the delivery of learning changes, the quality of the education remains the same. The study is qualitative research with a phenomenology research design. It was conducted to explain the lived experiences of Teachers in Implementing Modular Distance Learning. Specifically, this aims in discussing the experiences and challenges encountered by the teachers in implementing the MDL as part of the "New Normal". Purposive sampling was used in selecting 5 teachers that participated in the study. The researcher used online interviews through Google forms and Messenger calls to seek in-depth information that revealed the lived experiences of the teachers in implementing modular distance learning modality. Colaizzi's 1978 method of data analysis was utilized to analyse and interpret the results of this study. Findings from the study showed themes based on the experience of teachers in implementing MDL. Through the result of this study, SDO-Alaminos City may utilize the results in designing various Professional Development Programs/training that would enhance the capability of teachers and provide a support system to teachers during modular distance learning

The study was on Students' healthy security in urban universities in Uganda. It was conducted in urban public and private universities in Uganda. Students, of 21 st century, were the unit of analysis. Informants were studied for some good period of time. Occurrences-culture, characteristics and health behaviors were noted. The study was of Qualitative in nature and used a Positivism philosophy backed with Health Belief Model (HBM) by Rosen stock, supported by the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) which was proposed in 1975 by Martin Fishbein. Students perform a health behavior having reasoned about the positive and negative consequences. Terms like Susceptibility, Perceived benefits, Perceived barriers, Self-efficacy and Clue to barriers were borrowed from HBM. Preventive, Illness and Sick-role behaviors that were pathways to the substance use behavior were borrowed from HBM. These pathways were used in studying related literature, designing research instruments, collecting data, analyzing and interpreting it. The study found out that: Students, of 21 st century, have created their own health ways and health cultures. When in groups, in their privacy, students do all sorts of manner not minding the negative health consequences. Students are perceiving STDs are part of normal life. Most of them practice self-medication. HIV is being transmitted at a very high rate among university students. The ideology of "live-sex" has greatly increased the risk of STDs/STIs and HIV among students. Peers are the pathways of educating, guiding and controlling students' health security. The study recommended that: There should be enough programs of STDs/STIs and HIV awareness (Expected barriers) in all urban universities. The government should identify, empower and equip peers (students of 21 st century) among urban universities. Health service providers should target communities (ghettoes) around the university premises, where students are, always. HIV awareness, testing, prevention and treatment in urban universities should be put in more effort by both private and government institutions. Students of 21 st century, as they identify themselves, should develop a habit of health seeking behavior especially for medical checkup or where never they suspect any sort of health disorder.

The study focused on students' physical activities as a health behavior and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda. The research was guided by Positivism Philosophy by Auguste Comte during early 19 th century basing on the ideology that students perform behaviors having enough knowledge about such (efficacy) and well knowing the consequences. This is supported by the Theory of Reasoned Action and the Health Belief Model. The study was of Quantitative in nature. The researcher surveyed the respondents by providing questionnaires for answering willingly about behaviors and life experiences as far as their physical activities were concerned. The researcher presented and analyzed the findings by using SPSS, explanations and descriptions. Coefficient significance was got and compare it with 0.05 the usual significance level to check if the null hypothesis was accepted or rejected. Scope: The study was limited to the relationship between students' physical activities as a health behavior and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda conducted in four Ugandan regions out of four, students being a unit of study. Sample size: According to the Krejcie & Morgan (1970) table, since the target population was 11.000, the sample size is 370. In the study, the sample size used was 372. Thus, a sample size of 372 respondents was obtained for cross-sectional studies from each of the 6 selected Universities making 62 students from each of the 6 universities. Survey responses to students' physical activities and course completion were limited to five options measuring the students' health behavior. Responses included "Strongly agree," "Agree," "Disagree," "Strongly disagree" or "Never", Responses were assigned a numerical value (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Assigning ordinal values to participation levels rather than as categorical reflected an assumption that students' involvement has a positive relationship with the study engagement. The researcher piloted to check content validity. He piloted the study in Kampala International University, a university nearer to him. This was mainly to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The researcher got involved in the University environment until he got at least 10 participants for checking the information given if it is valid. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS v 14.0 software. Using the scoring of 1 to 5 on a 5-point Likert scale response mode, the deciding rule for the level of agreement was based on any weighted average up to 2.50 or more and that was considered to be an agreement (A) with the questionnaire item while a value less than 2.50 was considered as a disagreement (D). Availability of students' physical activities was assessed by the degree of susceptibility, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, efficacy and clue to action with students whose behavior was poor and they were involved in physical activities to become healthier. This was achieved through the use of Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) to generate frequency distributions, percentages and sig. values. Sig. values assisted in interpreting data in comparison with the null hypothesis. The study revealed that there is a weak relationship between students' physical activities and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda. This is indicated by low degree of Pearson Correlation, where P>0.01. Since significant coefficient (0.01) is less than 0.05, it is statistically significant. It implies that students' physical activities affect the course completion. Therefore the null hypothesis is rejected. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between students' physical activities and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda. The study recommended that; Students should always practice physical activities willingly. Students should always go for medical checkups. Institutions should avail physical activity space like play grounds not only for males but also for females. Time for general physical activities should be planned for. Institutions and the government of Uganda should innovate online awareness and guidelines for students as far as physical activities are concerned. The Parish level programs for the government should secure enough land for sports, put funds to organize and facilitate sports within the different parishes in Uganda.

The study was on sleep among students in public and private universities in Uganda. It was conducted in urban public and private universities in Uganda. Students were the unit of analysis. Informants were studied for some good period of time. The study was of Qualitative in nature and used a Positivism philosophy backed with Health Belief Model (HBM) by Rosen stock, supported by the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) which was proposed in 1975 by Martin Fishbein. The study used a sample size of 375 participants (students). 306 students and 69 personnel for secondary data. It involved a total of 63 participants from each university participated in the study. Health Belief Model (HBM) was used in studying related literature, designing research instruments, collecting data, analyzing and interpreting it. The study found out that: A big number of students do sleep a lot during their time at the university. Almost every student is enjoying life, as they term it. Students care less about studies. Some students negligently miss lectures or even exams because of over sleeping. The majority of students fail to get good grades and do get retakes. More than half of the admitted students don't complete their courses successfully. Some students quit courses completely. The following recommendations were made; Students should always control their sleep behavior. They should practice physical activities improve their health and remain active. Students should always go for medical checkups. Institutions should provide convenient environment that doesn't scare away students from campus premises. Incentives should be provided to entice and motivate students to participate in university activities like Music, Dance and Drama. Online learning system should be emphasized such that students can learn using their personal gargets when at the places of residence instead of over sleeping.

The study was on Students' sick-role behavior and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda. It was conducted in 6 public and private universities in Uganda while balancing 3 regions: Central, Western and Eastern. The study used both Quantitative and Qualitative in nature and used a Positivism philosophy backed with Health Belief Model (HBM) by Rosen stock, supported by the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) which was proposed in 1975 by Martin Fishbein. Students perform sickrole behavior having reasoned about the positive and negative consequences. Health Belief Model terms like Susceptibility, Perceived benefits, Perceived barriers, Self-efficacy and Clue to barriers were borrowed from Sleep and Diet were used as constructs of sick-role behavior. Unit of analysis was university students. The study used a sample size of 372 participants (students). 306 respondents and 18 informants. 62 students and 3 informants from each university participated in the study. The study found out that: There is a relationship between students' health behavior and course completion. Sleep and Diet do not affect the course completion because significant coefficient (0.01) is less than 0.05-thus, not significant. The null hypothesis "There is no relationship between students' sick-role behavior and course completion" is accepted. Students have already achieved their dreams by being at campus. Living a university lifebeing free from the outside of elders, is living a heavenly world. Enjoying life, as they term it. Students care less about studies. After S.6 (Advanced Level) stress, they relax from reading a lot and spend most of their campus life sleeping. Some negligently miss lectures or even exams. At the end of the semester of the year, the majority of students get retakes. By the time of the course, almost a half of the intended students fail to complete their courses. The study recommended students to always feed on balanced to improve their health. Physical activities should be availed to students to make their bodies active other than sleeping most of their time. Background: Sick-role behavior is the activity undertaken, for the purpose of getting well, by those who consider themselves ill. It includes receiving treatment from appropriate therapists, generally involves a whole range of dependent behaviors, and leads to some degree of neglect of one's usual duties (Stanislav, et al. 2020). The sick role anthropology is where social expectations for the behaviors of a person are diagnosed as suffering from a malady e.g. being excused from work or school.

Definition of Risky health sexual behavior: Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is the use of a drug in amounts or by methods which are harmful to the individual or others. It is a form of substance-related disorder (Ksir & Oakley, et al., 2002).

The spaces of schooling are not mere settings or backdrops where students' learning take place, but are implicated in the production of knowledge and identities/subjectivities Á spaces embody specific values, beliefs and traditions. In this paper, we draw on visual ethnographic data from an all-boys school in New Zealand to examine how the spaces of schooling and physical education (PE) perform health work in relation to the all-round development of healthy young masculinities. By drawing on a complexivist philosophy, we draw attention to how school policies, spaces, bodies, students, teachers all intersect to provide the boys with a socio-spatial context in which knowledge and learning about healthy young masculinities is constructed. We demonstrate how stereotypical notions of what boys should be doing and what they like doing is, for instance, materialised by the design and provision of schooling and PE as sporting spaces, based on a form of 'healthism', which privileges individualistic notions of health and the assumption that sport0fitness0health. We conclude that although the design and provision of schooling and PE spaces based on healthism is an important source of pleasures for young men, it also reinforces narrowly defined and even problematic forms of healthy young masculinities.

Aims: This study aimed to describe and understand the individual and social dimensions of resiliency among Iranian academics as professionals during the early wave of the ongoing pandemic. Furthermore, we aimed to emphasize the cultural context in our analysis. Method: A cross-sectional survey design was adopted. We used convenient sampling, administered through an online survey, among academics at Iranian universities (n = 196, 75% women). We employed the CD-RISC 2 instrument, items on life meaning, and a modified version of Pargament’s RCOPE instrument (Meaning, Control, Comfort/Spirituality, Intimacy/Spirituality, and Life Transformation). Results: The results revealed a strong level of resilience among men (M = 5.78) and women (M = 5.52). Self-rated health was rated as excellent, very good, or good among a majority (92%) of the participants, more so among men. This study focused on examining the role of cognitive distortions as a predictor of social adaptation among refugees in Turkey. For the purpose of this study, first of all, participants who migrated to Turkey after the Syrian War were asked whether they were exposed to the situations listed in the Traumatic Events List. To collect data, "Cognitive Distortions Scale", "Revised Sociocultural Adaptation Scale", "Traumatic Events List" and "Demographic Information Form" were used. In addition, the extent to which the cognitive distortions of these individuals predicted their social adaptation was investigated. As a result of the hierarchical linear regression analysis, it was observed that the sub-dimensions of cognitive distortions, "seeing life as dangerous", "helplessness" and "hopelessness" were significant predictors of adaptation. Cognitive distortions of refugees, the way they explain the events in the environment, come to the fore as a factor that prevents them from adapting to the new life. This study also offers various suggestions for future studies to increase the adaptation of refugee individuals.

The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations, the considerations used by researchers to determine the sample were 73 young women who had experienced menstruation. Data analysis techniques used statistics with the percentage results obtained 36% answered "yes" in primary dysmenorrhea and 48% in sports activities, while 64% answered "no" in primary dysmenorrhea and 52% in sports activities. To determine the correlation that is using the Kendall Tau Nonparametric () test formula in order to obtain a correlation coefficient of 0.353 with sufficient correlation criteria and significance p = 0.000 <0.05, concluding that there is a relationship between primary dysmenorrhea and adolescent female sports activities at Central Banawa Middle Middle School.

Education is calling for approaches to improve adolescent males' success in language and literacy related classes; however, the reasons for this lack of achievement are complex. There is no sustainable immediate solution. Through poetic representations created by the researcher, this research study reports on the voice of an adolescent male student who examined gender roles and expectations in a Grade 10 English class. The findings reveal his growing insight into the complexities that co-construct his role and expectations as a gendered being. These findings can inform educators towards helping students realize their potential as literacy students and guide their understanding of gender roles.

Socio-cultural theorists have argued that having a diverse understanding of subjectivities of normal/ideal bodies is important for Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers. When teachers hold a single understanding and perception of normal/ideal bodies, such as a thin body as normal or ideal body, which are usually informed by dominant discourses, they may (re)produce narrow understandings of bodies among their students. This paper focuses on how a group of pre-service HPE specialist teachers (11 females and 3 males, aged between 18 and 26 at the time of the first interview) from an Australian university, discuss issues related to subjectivities of bodies. It draws on visual methodologies and semi-structured interviews to understand how these pre-service HPE specialist teachers construct discourses of bodies. Foucault's concepts of normalisation, surveillance and biopedagogies are used to explore discursive constructions of bodies, with a particular focus on how some discourses are normalised via surveillance techniques. The results of the study invite us to reflect on how images may promote certain ways of thinking about and considering the body among preservice HPE specialist teachers. In light of contradictions which were found across the comments of two participants who constructed different discourses during the interviews, we posit that making sense of subjectivities of bodies is complex and often contradictory. Furthermore, the results suggest that photo elicitation is a useful visual method for theorising issues related to bodies. Results can inform teacher education and policy in how to better prepare pre-service HPE teachers to teach about bodies.

It is well-documented that schools fail to adequately engage with contemporary content about intersex awareness and education or inclusion of people with intersex variations. Where sexuality and relationships education are the remit of Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum in countries such as Australia, the learning area shows little obligation/responseability towards the needs of students with intersex variations. It also fails to pay nuanced attention to non-dominant issues, knowledge, or people with respects to sex, gender and sexuality. Similarly, the normative endosex nature/focus of HPE/PE/sport and related professional education bodies (e.g., in teaching and coaching) ignore the need for relevant and affirming content about intersex bodies. A recent project reported in this paper, created a collective narrative addressing how such HPE bodies of learning and teaching can advocate for and enact approaches that are inclusive, affirming, visible, and supportive in promoting and upholding the human rights and health needs of students with intersex variations. The research question driving the project was: What part can HPE bodies of learning and teaching play concerning intersex awareness and education? This original empirical research draws on the methodology and theory of narrative inquiry. The narrative was created between artefacts from a cohort of second year Australian pre-service HPE teacher education students in dialogue with teacher/researcher/expert/author bodies. The paper employs a recently developed Strategic Framework for intersex inclusion that promotes a positive whole-school approach, for educational institutions to be more inclusive, humane, safe, and educationally relevant for people with intersex variations. This framework assists critical reflection on project findings. We argue that such engagement, as illustrated in this project's scope, promotes a positive and diverse understanding about intersex in educational spaces, curriculum and pedagogies, guidelines, and policies, and ultimately reflect Australian Human Rights Commission recommendations and Australian anti-discrimination legislation.

The paper examines the stability of an incompressible, non-viscous dusty fluid between two parallel plates, in the presence of horizontal magnetic field and vertical rotation. It is shown that the rotation has a stabilizing character and the instability increases with the increase in the number of density of dust particles. Some important results about linearly varying density and magnetic field and exponential varying density and magnetic field with the help of Chandrasekher's technique.

The aim of this study is to compare students of the personal brand of physical education with Students of other disciplines with an emphasis on effective communication skills Qasemi had 6 children. The method described in terms of strategy, in terms of the direction of scrolling implementation of the aim of development and practical. The population consisted of all undergraduate and graduate students of different trends in physical education and other fields in selected universities in 94 years and a statistical sample of 384 people also were considered. Research tools included two questionnaires assess personal branding (Ghasemi, 2015) and a questionnaire to determine the level of communication skills Ghasemi (2015), respectively. In this study, to determine the validity, content and structure (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis) and differential was used and the internal reliability (Cronbach's alpha), time and other items were used. According to the normal or non-normal data (Kolmogrov Smirnov test), confirmatory factor analysis and one-sample t test, t-test was used to compare between variables were analyzed Levin. The data analysis was performed using software SPSS version 22. Results showed that personal brand is significantly weaker students in the field of physical education and physical education in terms of students' writing skills, speaking, using modern communication tools daily and were significantly weaker and the skills of listening, reading, and language is the appropriate body significantly. In general, physical education is poor communication skills of students and personal brand of physical education students was significantly lower than non-PE students' personal brand.

The present study uses the results of semi-structured interviews with 17 male university students in Kerman, the capital of the largest province of Iran. The objective of the study is to understand the focus on the body and body change behaviors. Physical features constitute one of the core components of masculinity; the focus on the ideal body and the tendency to change the body shape or size can therefore be associated with masculinity. The grounded theory approach was used to analyze the concerns about the body, body change behaviors, and construction of flexible masculinity among Iranian students. Four main themes emerged from the analysis of the interviews: ideal body, body satisfaction and body change behaviors, the role and function of attraction and the ideal body, reasons for the focus on the body. The core theme is emerged from four themes: consumer masculinity-hegemonic masculinity (construction of flexible masculinity). The findings reveal the emergence of a new flexible type of masculinity in Iran. The results of the present study showed that young Iranian men have combined components of traditional Iranian hegemonic masculinity with western hegemonic masculinity and consumer masculinity to describe the ideal body and make efforts to achieve it. Moreover, some elements of traditional hegemonic masculinity were noticed to still persist in the students' lives. More extensive use of visual media, cultural globalization and the changing social roles are the main causes of the changing type of masculinity in the society and lead to the creation of a new gender system in the society.

The decrease in touch has been explored in recent literature in relation to child protection discourses and no touch policies and it has been suggested that Physical Education (PE) has been weakened by the lack of touch. Significantly, the issue of touch has remained largely unexplored in Latin societies, which are characterised by an amplified tactile approach to people and comparatively little personal space. This paper examines how a group of pre-service PE teachers in Spain responded to, acted and negotiated touch with primary school students. It draws on data generated from body journals and the concepts of risk society, surveillance and moral panic. The findings indicate that touching school students is still common practice in Spain and was considered something positive. Not only are masculinities enacted differently across cultures, they are also performed differently within groups of the same culture, and by individuals

In an effort to provide opportunities for social work students to develop competencies for research and for working with transgender individuals, the authors paired content in two separate undergraduate courses: cultural competence and research methods. A qualitative research study was designed to assess the impact of this curricular approach. Following completion of the two courses, students participated in focus groups to discuss their experiences and what they learned through the unique course pairing. Analysis of the focus group transcripts revealed that students developed new understanding and knowledge related to research, the transgender population, attitudes about this population, and how to advocate for this population.

Background: Several pedagogical research studies acknowledge instruction in Health and Physical Education as being conducive to the development of critical thinking skills in students. However, little empirical research has focused on the presence of this form of thinking in Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers. Yet according to various researchers in the field of pedagogy, the presence of critical thinking skills in the teacher is crucial to promote its development in students during the teaching-learning process. Objective: The present study is a follow-up of previous research examining the manifestations of critical thinking in teachers at the primary school level and is intended to identify expressions of critical thinking and define its role in the professional conduct of three Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers (two men and one woman) at the secondary school level. Methodology: The theoretical framework for this study is based on the concept of critical thinking developed by Matthew Lipman. The procedure used in this study involved video recording nine health and physical education lessons delivered by the three teachers followed by nine semi-structured interviews with the teachers using the technique of stimulated recall. Result and discussion: The results indicated not only the presence of critical thinking in the teachers, but also that this form of thinking has multiple facets of expression. In terms of its function, critical thinking is essentially utilized as a genuine tool for teachers to evaluate the pertinence or viability of their instructional approach with students at the secondary school level.

The parents played the most significant role in the mental, physical, social, financial and career development in early childhood. The primary purpose of this mix-method study was to determine the practices and challenges of the parents in early childhood children. The quantitative strand of the study was done through the use of researchermade survey checklist questionnaire administered to 75 respondents from the different barangays in the Municipality of Biliran employing equal allocation. Questionnaire on parents' practices along the four developmental domains had the reliability index of .962 and the challenges which contained 14 items had obtained reliability index of .80. After the analysis of the data through the use of frequency, percentage and simple weighted mean, out of 75 respondents, only 20 were interviewed face-to-face for the validation of the results. The data obtained from the interview were analysed through the use of Groenewald's method of phenomenological analysis of data with five phases namely: bracketing, delineating elements of meaning, concept formation, encapsulate the dialogue, certify and take out common distinctive themes from the responses and makes a synopsis. The quantitative results revealed that parents were having insufficient extent of practices along with the cognitive, physical, socioemotional and spiritual development known as the four domains in early childhood development. As to the challenges, out of fourteen, only six came out as very challenging to the parents, to wit: discipline of the child, eating habits, sleep habits, patience towards the child, child's anxiety and child's tantrums. The content analysis of the data gathered from the interview generated four themes such as responsibilities and roles, rights, realities, resourcefulness and resilience. Thus, the Practical Guide for Parenthood was designed in addressing the barriers they encounter and to guide parents with early childhood children.

Initial Teacher Education (ITE) reform in Australia has mandated that graduating teachers demonstrate their practice and 'impact' through the completion of a Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA) prior to graduation. The requirement to analyse 'impact' in teaching, requires a nuanced understanding of what 'impact' is and how it manifests in varied contemporary classrooms. This paper reports on how a sample of high-performing pre-service teachers from one Australian ITE institution, within a framework devised by Australia's largest TPA consortium, appraised the impact of their teaching in the context of the disciplinary area of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS). How 'impact' was articulated through GTPA submissions revealed data-informed and holistic interpretations layered to include opportunistic teaching moments and relational and affective impact as well as analysis of cognitive progress. The paper also identifies ways in which analysis of impact might be further finessed with greater attention to pedagogical content knowledge and discipline-specific progression.

Background The aim of this study was to translate the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy, second edition (CAPL-2) into Danish language, adapt it to Danish context and to test the measurement properties on a sample of Danish school children. Methods The CAPL-2 measurement tool was translated into Danish language and adapted for the Danish context. This Danish version of the CAPL-2 was then tested on 891 Danish school children from 50 classes in 12 different schools. Results Confirmatory factor analysis using the four-factor model, as suggested by the CAPL-2 original developers, showed an acceptable model fit for the Danish version (CFI = .973; TLI = .957; RMSEA = 0.040 (90% CI 0.033–0.054); SRMR = 0.040). Positive significant correlations between the domains were found.
