Today it is not a secret that urban development is spontaneous and irrelevant process leading to a number of problems that can be irreversible and result in the loss of individuality of historic towns. To avoid these problems, it is necessary to study, share and adjust the modern international experience to our needs. Intelligence Urbanism (Principles of Intelligent Urbanism (PIU) is one of the most important theory among the modern theories of urban development, which has been developed from city planning guidelines, and has been established by the International Congress of Modern Architecture (CIAM). The theory consists of 10 guidelines that are developed at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design under the leadership of Josep Lluís Sert. Iconography and function of the late Gothic “Rosary panel” in the Dominican
monastery in Kraków – introductory remarks

The subject of the present article is a late Gothic painting kept in the Dominican monastery, referred to as a “Rosary panel”. The work is characterized by multi-threaded iconography: it shows, among others, the Holy
Trinity of the Throne of Grace type, with choirs of saints, praying believers, as well as scenes referring to the cult of the Eucharist and the Lord’s Passion. The central field is delineated by a rose wreath, constituting a symbolic representation of the rosary. Various ideological threads can be seen in the composition: Ecclesiological, Mariological, that of Passion, and finally, devotional, both in terms of the individual and the community approach. In terms of iconography, the painting can be categorized into a group of representations (panel paintings and engravings), created especially at the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries in the southern German circles. It can be assumed that the panel was used in the devotion of Rosary confraternity, perhaps being placed on the confraternity’s altar. The origin of the Kraków painting is unknown, but it is possible that it was originally located in one of the churches of the congregation of preachers – the order that vigorously promoted the devotion to the Rosary in the late Middle Ages.

Toponim Kožino iznjedren je tijekom 14. stoljeća kao ime
veleposjeda zadarskog plemića Kože II. Bartulova Saladina.
Sudbina posjeda prati se od vremena Kože I. Saladina
(† 1296.), jednog od najvažnih i najistaknutijih zadarskih
plemića iz druge polovine 13. stoljeća, pa preko njegovih
nasljednika Bartula Saladina († 1331.) te Kože II. Bartulova
Saladina († 1366.?). Srednjovjekovno je Kožino formirano
u dijelu Petrčana, naselja koje je pod tim imenom
tada obuhvaćalo široki prostor od granice Zadra u Diklu
pa do Zatona ninskog. Na tome se prostoru u srednjem
vijeku spominju crkve sv. Vigilija (danas nepoznate lokacije),
zatim sv. Bartola (danas ruševina koju najvjerojatnije
podiže Bartul Saladin) te ona sv. Petra, sagrađena tijekom
13. stoljeća. Ta će u 14. stoljeću preuzeti ulogu župne crkve
novog sela nazvanog Kožino. Saladinov je veleposjed
u drugoj polovini 14. stoljeća dospio u vlasništvo Pelegrine,
kćeri Kože II. i udovice Frane Grisogona, nakadašnjega
zadarskog kneza u Pagu. Ona ga je, pak, oporučno
1392. godine ostavila koludricama u samostanu zadarskih
pučanki uz crkvu sv. Katarine. Iako spomenuti veleposjed
zadarskih Saladina u srednjovjekovnim Petrčanima nije
preživio u njihovu vlasništvu nakon 14. stoljeća, ipak je
ostavio duboka traga na samom terenu jer je prema istaknutom
posjedniku Koži II. Saladinu zadobio posebno
ime, Kožino selo.

Es posible leer las Escrituras sagradas de manera individual y sin un principio orientador, pero creo que es más importante hacerlo de la mano de especialistas que garanticen explicaciones e interpretaciones confiables de los textos. Esto se debe a que las religiones secundarias o de libro han estado sujetas a diversos desarrollos exegéticos a lo largo del tiempo. Este proceso termina con la canonización de textos sagrados. La importancia de esta introducción radica en mostrar de modo ejemplar un tal entendimiento histórico-crítico de la Biblia hebrea, un acompañamiento fiable para su estudio por decirlo de algún modo, en contraposición a un entendimiento literal de la misma. Dependiendo del tipo de acercamiento, se desprenden muchas interpretaciones de los textos, así como posturas vitales hacia la realidad histórica que enfrentamos cotidianamente./
It is possible to read the sacred Scriptures individually and without a guiding principle, but I think it is  more important to do so with the help of specialists who guarantee reliable explanations and interpretations of the texts. This is because secondary or book religions have been subject to various exegetical developments over time. This process ends with the canonization of sacred texts. The importance of this introduction lies in showing, in an exemplary way, such a historical-critical understanding of the Hebrew Bible, a reliable accompaniment to its study so to speak, as opposed to a literal understanding of it. Depending on the type of approach, many interpretations of the texts emerge, as well as vital positions towards the historical reality we face on a daily basis.

El valor intrínsec d'aquesta coHecció rau en que va pertanyer a amigues impremtes gironines que va n actuar des del segle XVII a Girona i que la famOia Carreras va anar adquirint al llarg de la seva historia com a nissaga d'impressors. t:any 1984 la Diputació de Giro na compra aquesta coHecció que actualment es troba al Museu d'Art de Girona. El present anide és fi•uit d'un estudi realitzat en la recent catalogació d'aquest conjunt de matrius que ha permes ampliar la visió sobre aquestes peces tan preuades i que confirma, en alguns casos, la seva originalitat barroca.

Este artículo pretende rescatar el nombre y acción de las profetisas bíblicas tanto del Antiguo como del Nuevo Testamento para visibilizar su acción y su significado para el tiempo de Israel y para el presente. Históricamente el nombre de las mujeres no fue visibilizado, borrándolas así del protagonismo que tuvieron en la historia de Israel. Actualmente también se invisibilizan muchas de las acciones de las mujeres porque existe todavía el imaginario patriarcal que impide valorar e impulsar el actuar femenino. Recuperar las profetisas bíblicas, sus acciones y sus aportes en la historia de salvación, contribuye decisivamente a la dignidad de las mujeres y su mayor protagonismo en la sociedad y en la Iglesia.

The task of this article is to review post-Byzantine descriptions of Palestine, Syria, Egypt and other Holy Places of the Christian East in order to generalize the identified materials in the texts under study. The methods of work were comparative historical, textual when comparing various editions and translations of monuments, as well as a linguistic-comparative method when collating Greek, Latin, Old Slavic and Eastern descriptions of the Holy Land. The transition from the Byzantine proper to the post-Byzantine tradition of describing the Holy Land is organic and thematically almost imperceptible: in the new conditions of the Turkocracy, pilgrimage literature consistently continues to develop on the same historical and theological foundations. Pilgrimage literature is becoming widespread in a variety of genres: lives of local saints, proskinitarian guidebooks, poetic poems, theological tales of miracles. There is a gradual increase in the authors’ interest in the diversity of places of heterodox service in the Christian East. In general, the palette of descriptions becomes completer and more detailed, and the repertoire of the monuments under consideration is enriched.

This study analyzes Bosch’s iconography, compositional strategies, and symbolic detail to demonstrate how his imagery simultaneously critiques human frailty and moral excess while eliciting awe, fear, and reflection. By situating the triptych within the transitional space between the late medieval and early Renaissance periods, it highlights Bosch’s innovative engagement with theological discourse, psychological inquiry, and broader cultural transformations. Furthermore, it traces the enduring resonance of his visual language in the works of later artists such as William Blake and Francisco Goya. Ultimately, The Garden of Earthly Delights emerges as a profound meditation on morality, spirituality, and the precarious tension between divine order and human desire.

La cattedrale di Monopoli costituisce il risultato del più grande cantiere attivo nella Puglia del Settecento che crebbe comportando la distruzione dell’edificio medievale voluto dal vescovo Romualdo all’inizio del XII secolo. Gli studiosi coinvolti nella preparazione del volume hanno lavorato per dimostrare come la chiesa costituisca ancora un prezioso palinsesto degli interventi di epoche diverse. Sulle vestigia romaniche, a loro volta cresciute sui resti d’età messapica e romana, ancora visibili nel succorpo, s’innestò l’edificio tardo barocco al cui interno si conservano manufatti che coprono un arco temporale che va dal XII al XIX secolo. Апстракт: Рад представља покушај да се нешто више сазна о првом игуману манастира Сопоћана (око 1270), чије име није познато. Приликом археолошких радова пронађени су његова гробница у припрати цркве и делови саркофага који је био над њом. На основу наглашене представе светог Јована Богослова на фрескама Сопоћана, над игуманским местом и у Деизису у ђаконикону, опрезно се предлаже да је име првог сопоћанског игумана било Јован и истиче се његова улога у изградњи и живописању цркве у Сопоћанима.

Petr Brandl signed his paintings quite often as compared to his fellow painters who only occasionally signed their artworks, for instance Wenzel Lorenz Reiner, or those who never signed their work at all, such as Johann Christoph Liška. Of Brandl’s original paintings, as many as 30% of them include his personal signature. The artist signed his paintings over the course of his entire career. At times he used the abbreviated signature of “P. Brandl”, sometimes accompanied by the date, at others the expanded form of “Petrus Brandl pinxit” and the date. As a rule, the artist placed his signature in the lower part of the painting, but sometimes he realistically “intertwined” it into the content itself [1–6]. Brandl signed his paintings because he did not operate in a corporate or patronage system but rather on the free market where painters had to establish the value of their own art. Brandl used the signatures he affixed to his largest and most prestigious paintings [8, 9] to establish his reputation as a painter, and the form of the signature itself became a way he used to present himself as a great trained artist. Brandl’s strategy for developing the image of a “famous” painter worked and brought him much success. Despite his constant changes in residence and persistent problems with creditors, this artist, who should have been relegated to obscurity in such a situation, remained well-known and found buyers for his paintings.

Motivaţie Pretextul abordării problematicii pandantivelor de candelă din sticlă premoderne/moderne transilvănene îl constituie o piesă inedită descoperită de noi în cursul unor cercetări de suprafaţă întreprinse în hotarul localităţii Cugir. Aparent minoră la început, importanţa şi semnificaţia piesei s-au conturat cu timpul. Pe fondul datelor relativ sărace cunoscute despre aceste artefacte-descoperite în arealul intracarpatic doar în Ţara Haţegului-, şi chiar a sticlăriei de acest gen, prezentarea pandantivului, cât şi rediscutarea categoriei din care face parte o considerăm utilă. Resumen: El arte de finales de la Edad Media e inicios del Renacimiento incidió en la representación de la naturaleza humana de Cristo a través de nuevos modelos iconográficos, como los lamentos, las piedades o los Cristos muertos sostenidos por ángeles. A partir del Cristo muerto sostenido por un ángel de Antonello de Mesina, este artículo explora cómo esta progresiva humanización es resultado de la intencionalidad de los artistas por contemporaneizar la escena bíblica, buscando así hablar el mismo lenguaje que el espectador; una tendencia que parece haberse fosilizado a partir de la época moderna, en la que las representaciones “arqueológicas” se convirtieron en la tendencia dominante.

Abstract: The art of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance put its focus on the representation of the human nature of Christ through new iconographic models, such as laments, pietà or dead Christs supported by angels. Departing from the Dead Christ supported by an angel by Antonello de Mesina, this article explores how this progressive humanization is the result of the artists' intention to bring the biblical scene to their contemporaneity, thus seeking to speak the same language as the viewer; a trend that seems to have fossilized from the modern age, in which “archaeological” representations became the dominant trend.

The Order of the Friars Minor faced a dilemma from the outset: their Rule of life, written by their founder St Francis of Assisi, included a strict adherence to the ideal of absolute poverty (that is, living without property, even property held in common), and yet it was impossible to fulfil their pastoral activities in the community without at least one type of property-liturgical books. In both the earlier (1209/10-1221) and later (1223) Rules, St Francis discussed the ownership of books, but not their production. Surviving manuscripts and archival records alert us to the fact that friars did produce their own liturgical books and act as the scribes and illuminators of books made for others. As both producers and owners of illuminated manuscripts, the friars engaged in a careful navigation of the relationship between beauty (permissible as an expression of invisible divine beauty, as defined by Hugh of St Victor) and luxury. It was all too easy (as the Franciscan Durand of Champagne bemoaned) for friars to desire 'beautiful … and … curiously illuminated [books, rather] than true and well corrected ones'. This essay explores the ways in which friars negotiated the issues of poverty, beauty and luxury, and how they expressed and satisfied their desire for books, drawing on examples from the library of the Sacro Convento in Assisi.

Articolul publicat în revista Magazin Istoric aduce în vederea cititorului istoria avarilor, un popor războinic al stepelor asiatice, de la origini la pătrunderea în Europa în secolul al VI-lea și cum și-au creat un „imperiu” de tipul khagant în Pannonia. De aici grupuri de astfel de războinici pătrund în Transilvania, așa cum arată dovezile arheologice.

This paper examines the challenges and prospects of political liberalism within polarized religious and democratic contexts. It argues that religious pluralism and democratic participation often generate tensions that test the limits of liberal tolerance, neutrality, and justice. Using theoretical and contextual analysis, the study explores how liberal democratic principles can coexist with deeply entrenched religious ideologies without eroding civic unity. It concludes that a redefinition of liberalism rooted in mutual respect, dialogue, and moral responsibility is essential for sustaining democracy in religiously divided societies.

Recenti studi e pubblicazioni hanno permesso di rilevare, all’interno
della Basilica di San Simplicio in Olbia – SS, sopra una delle colonne
che separano la nave centrale dalle navatelle laterali, un capitello
di forma quadrangolare già conosciuto in letteratura. Il capitello, registrato
all’interno del Catalogo Generale dei Beni Culturali, è collocato
a coronare una colonna posta a circa un metro dall’antica sede di un
ambone in legno. Tale elemento, la colonna, è il quarto sostegno a destra,
partendo dall’abside, su cui si imposta il claristorio che divide la
nave centrale dalla navatella settentrionale, ovvero la navatella dell’epistola.
Il capitello, o meglio la scultura ricavata dall’antico capitello,
dovrebbe essere incluso nella prima fase costruttiva, quella che vedeva
una piccola chiesa molto più corta della Basilica attuale, realizzata, secondo
il Delogu, attorno all’XI secolo ma, a ragione di dati mensiocronologici,
secondo l’opinione di chi scrive, tale edificazione potrebbe
essere più antica.

This study contends that eschatological prophecy must be adjudicated by substantial performance: Scripture's order, content, and magnitude must be found in verifiable history. Anchored in Psalm 12:6's doctrine of pure, refined divine speech; governed by the grammatical-historical (literal) hermeneutic; constrained by audience relevance rightly understood; and guided by Petrine prohibitions against private interpretation as well as Hebraic "prophetic perfect" usage, this paper argues that A.D. 70 does not-and cannotconstitute the fulfillment of the Olivet Discourse or related prophetic maxima. A formal collation of Scripture and history reveals systematic failures in preterist claims regarding wars, false messiahs, earthquakes, and the abomination of desolation, culminating in the decisive absence of the climactic promises: cosmic upheaval, the visible Parousia, angelic ingathering, and universal judgment. We conclude that fidelity to God's pure words compels a future, global, and ordered realization commensurate with the promises given.

Estas palabras remiten al ascenso espiritual, presente en la tradición judeocristiana, cristalizada en las visiones de profetas y santos católicos. En el Génesis (18: 10-22) se narra que Jacob, yendo hacia Jarán, se durmió sobre unas piedras y vio una escala entre el cielo y la tierra por la cual ascendían y descendían ángeles; en el sueño Dios le prometió la tierra a sus descendientes -los israelitas-por lo que al despertarse Jacob señaló el lugar con una estela de piedras ungidas en aceite y la nombró Betel que significa «la casa de Dios» 3 . A partir de este sueño, la unión simbólica entre cielo y tierra se ha figurado con la escalera, adjudicándole diversas significaciones con los siglos. En los grados de la escalera se vio una metáfora de la gradualidad del ascenso; Benedicto (c. 480-547) usó una escala de doce pasos de humildad en su Regula, y en el siglo VII d.C. Juan Clímaco, Obispo de Sinaí, estableció una Scala Paradisi de treinta pasos de meditación que conducían a Dios 4 . El estudio Porque Juan Bautista dudó del Mesías examina la vida y misión del profeta como bisagra entre el Antiguo y el Nuevo Pacto. Juan, descendiente de Aarón y último de los profetas, fue llamado a preparar el camino para Jesús, presentándolo como el Cordero de Dios. No se volvió discípulo de Cristo porque su vocación era profética, no apostólica: debía menguar para que Jesús creciera.
Desde la cárcel, Juan envió a preguntar a Jesús si realmente era el Mesías. Su aparente duda surgió de varias circunstancias: la soledad y el sufrimiento prolongado, la falta de visitas o apoyo, y la expectativa de un Mesías justiciero que no se cumplía según su visión. Sin embargo, su pregunta no fue una renuncia a la fe, sino un clamor humano de confirmación. Jesús respondió mostrando señales mesiánicas y luego lo elogió como el mayor entre los nacidos de mujer.

Новые штрихи к творческой биографии Андрея Рублёва. В статье публикуются новые научные данные о творчестве Андрея Рублёва, полученные в ходе приборно-технологических исследований ряда произведений, связываемых с именем великого мастера. Приводятся результаты их сравнительного анализа с историческими свидетельствами, почерпнутыми из наиболее ранних источников соответствующего периода. Полученные объективные данные позволили сделать ряд важных выводов и уточнений к творческой биографии Андрея Рублёва. О творчестве выдающегося художника Древней Руси написано много. Историки, искусствоведы, реставраторы проделали колоссальную работу в изучении исторической обстановки, хронологически связанной с предполагаемым периодом жизни Андрея Рублёва, источников, содержащих сведения о великом мастере, а также в исследовании художественных особенностей произведений, приписываемых его кисти. В настоящее время, как признаются многие специалисты, новые сведения могут быть почерпнуты только в случае обнаружения новых письменных свидетельств или в ходе разработки новых направлений изучения творческого наследия Рублёва и древнерусского искусства в целом. К таким новым, динамично развивающимся направлениям относятся технико-технологические исследования материально-структурного комплекса памятников древнерусской живописи. В настоящее время к подобным работам привлекается всё больший круг специалистов-технологов, к которым мы относим представителей естественных наук и аналитиков-реставраторов. И всё же, в этом отношении творческое наследие Андрея Рублёва остаётся ещё малоизученным. Необходимо отметить, что первые попытки приборно-технологического анализа памятников рублёвского времени относятся ещё к 60 -м годам XX столетия 1 . Это были первые пробные шаги на сложном пути поиска истинных произведений великого мастера, определения индивидуальных особенностей его работы. За последние десять лет автору настоящего сообщения совместно со специалистами Лаборатории физико-химического анализа Института реставрации 2 удалось изучить ряд ключевых памятников рублёвской эпохи 3 . Новые штрихи к творческой биографии Андрея Рублёва. В статье публикуются новые научные данные о творчестве Андрея Рублёва, полученные в ходе приборно-технологических исследований ряда произведений, связываемых с именем великого мастера. Приводятся результаты их сравнительного анализа с историческими свидетельствами, почерпнутыми из наиболее ранних источников соответствующего периода. The present study is prompted by the discovery of two faces of Old Russian reliquary crosses, dated to the 12th–13th centuries, found in Neamţ County, in 2024 and 2025, to which the reverse of another specimen, discovered in 2025 in the commune of Vârfu Câmpului (Botoşani County), is added.

                The analysis of the discovered items reveals a number of common elements and has allowed for the reopening of discussions regarding the enkolpion cross discovered during the archaeological excavations conducted in the mid-20th century at the Bâtca Doamnei fortress, in Piatra Neamţ. Initially considered by its discoverers to be a Byzantine enkolpion, this piece nevertheless contains a series of indicators – including inscriptions – as well as analogies that place it within the repertoire of old Russian enkolpia. The similarities identified in the register of Syrian-type Byzantine enkolpia only serve to suggest the sources of inspiration for the craftsmen from the Kievan workshops.
