
Riccardo Campa
Riccardo Campa is Full Professor of Sociology and Director of the History of Ideas Research Centre at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He teaches Social and Political Philosophy, in English and Polish. He possesses two Master of Arts degrees, in Political Science and Philosophy, from the University of Bologna, a Ph.D. in Epistemology from the Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, and a doctoral habilitation in Sociology from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Prior to becoming an academic, Campa was a police lieutenant with Guardia di Finanza and a Journalist for La Voce di Mantova and the newsmagazine Il Mondo. He is also chief editor of the series "Divenire. Rassegna di studi interdisciplinari sulla tecnica e il postumano", and of the academic journal "Orbis Idearum. European Journal of the History of Ideas". He served as director of Humanity Plus (2006-2008), and is Fellow of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies.
