In questo ulteriore contributo apparso nella rivista, che ha ora cessato le pubblicazioni, "Società & Conflitto", ho cercato di mettere in luce i dispositivi che hanno a lungo presieduto all’istituzione dell’identità personale. Il concetto di identità delle "Confessioni" veniva, infatti, a presentarsi come sorretto da una ontologia che tendeva a fissare il soggetto in una forma stabile e non contraddittoria, sottraendolo astrattamente a ogni mutamento e divenire, a ogni dinamica di possibile problematizzazione di quella medesima, compatta e unitaria immagine di sé alla quale il soggetto stesso perveniva.

El pensamiento no es sino la respuesta a algo que le preexiste (una historia, una herencia, un hábito): pensar es recordar. La memoria, a este respecto, no consiste en extraer con un acto neutro saberes ya hechos del pasado, sino el modo en el cual damos activamente formas al sentido, lo inscribimos en el presente y asignamos significados a lo que nos ocurre. Así de profundo es el logos parte de esta premisa para interrogar aquello que constituye el pensamiento a la luz del ejercicio filosófico, en atención a la fragilidad que atraviesa el vínculo entre saber y logos, y a la oscuridad de este último. Sobre esta consideración, Andrea Potestà enfoca la práctica de la filosofía como práctica testimonial, en la cual el esfuerzo narrativo se sostiene en la necesidad infinita y creativa de construir un relato, un testimonio, que hereda a su vez el vértigo de los límites del lenguaje, la infinitud del logos y la confrontación abismada entre el yo y el tú, a saber, entre la distancia insoslayable en que el yo se enfrenta a lo distinto. Con una escritura que aúna el fragmento y el diálogo, este libro nos sitúa entre la proyección narrativa, sostenida y memoriosa, en la cual se proyecta el yo, y una narratología que evidencia los atajos discursivos y el carácter residual del enunciante: su sostén en reenvíos ficcionales y suplementos que no han de fijarse.

Unauthorised border crossings are probably the most mediatised of all illegal(ised) human activities. Images of people moving across the Mediterranean on boats or on foot have become iconic of how we have come to understand the social phenomenon of 'illegal migration' in Southern Europe. At the same time people who cross borders create specific relationships to the images that are produced of them by the states involved before, during and after the crossing. Identification photographs for passports and permits of stay become charged with particular "affective frequencies" (Campt 2017) in the context of unauthorised border crossings and legalisation. This paper examines the existential and affective relationship that Mohamed Khamis, a previously undocumented Egyptian migrant establishes with such governmentalised images of himself during the process of legalisation initiated by the 2012 amnesty in Italy. Collaborative filmmaking, animation and performance provide the ethnographic context through which our research has attempted to trace the "resonating frequencies" that are enclosed in the border regime's visual framings. This contribution contests for co-creative image making as an epistemological practice that attunes anthropology to ways of listening to the socio-political and existential possibilities contained in images that both enable and disable futures of mobility into being.

Desplazamientos. Una reflexión sobre la posibilidad de escuchar el horror 1 En el ensayo Conceptos viajeros en las humanidades. Una guía de viaje, Mieke Bal traza la trayectoria que han seguido algunos de los conceptos más representativos del ámbito humanístico por las disciplinas que integran este vasto territorio. Pero antes de dibujar esta cartografía interdisciplinar, en la introducción, advierte -muy cautamentecuál es el significado que ella, como narratóloga, como teórica del discurso, da al concepto de 'concepto'. Y es de esta manera, bastante ilustrativa a mi parecer e impecable para hacer inteligible el resto del ensayo, como muestra su propia metodología: fijar el sentido de(l) concepto resulta preciso antes de iniciar cualquier estudio o tesis que se precie, o, dicho con la terminología cartográfica, dibujar el territorio que abre (en cada disciplina) y que es en sí el concepto se evidencia como necesario antes de embarcarse en una investigación. La etimología resuena por doquier, ya que la in-cursión en este terreno presenta riesgos y también aventuras, sobre todo en una época como la contemporánea, en la que las disciplinas tienden a explorar y a desdibujar sus propios límites -en cierto modo porque el discurso parece haberse vuelto hacia sí mismo, convirtiendo el concepto (o el lenguaje, por decirlo más ampliamente, aunque sin querer hacerlos equivalentes) en objeto de estudio-. Esta tendencia, que se intensifica con el desarrollo de la filosofía del lenguaje y las teorías del discurso del siglo XX, ha despertado la crítica en la misma medida que la fascinación, posibilitando, no obstante, la coexistencia de posiciones contrarias respecto al valor y al sentido del lenguaje (y del concepto) en el ámbito humanístico. En El gran asombro. La curiosidad como estímulo en la historia de la filosofía, Jeanne Hersch, en el capítulo que cierra el libro, dedicado a "La filosofía actual", denuncia la deriva de la práctica filosófica, ya que los problemas que la habían ocupado por tradición y que tenían por objeto buscar -y dotar de-sentido a la condición humana, ahora "sólo se plantean a causa del lenguaje, como consecuencia de distintas formulaciones" (Hersch, 2010: 413). La aparición de un nuevo paradigma no se hizo esperar -estoy pensando en la deconstrucción-, paradigma que, primero, extrajo de su densidad a los conceptos metafísicos que han regido el pensamiento (occidental) y que han contribuido a establecer, a fijar, determinado orden del mundo y, segundo, desplazó el sentido tradicional para diseminarlo e imaginar otra figuración del pensamiento. Jacques Derrida señala al comienzo del capítulo "Violencia y metafísica. Aquí vamos a demostrar nítidamente cómo el ladeamiento

Pero esa sarta de calificativos no es nueva.

Introduction-why this question matters now Autobiography and life-writing have long been central to literary studies and to how individuals and communities narrate identity. Two canonical theoretical interventions-Philippe Lejeune's On Autobiography (and his formulation of the "autobiographical pact") and Elaine Showalter's A Literature of Their Own (which historicized women's literary traditions)-provide complementary starting points: Lejeune anchors questions of truth, reference, and authorial identity; Showalter foregrounds how literary communities and institutional contexts shape who gets written into literary canons. Together they invite us to ask: in the Gen Z era-with its digital self-expression, identity pluralism, and institutionally mediated learning-are educators, intellectuals, and institutions taking life-writing seriously, and should they promote it as part of interdisciplinary, intercultural, and constructivist futures? The short answer: yes-and with careful, ethically informed design. The longer answer below synthesizes theoretical foundations, recent empirical and pedagogical work, and concrete institutional recommendations.

O artigo analisa a presença de três canções no filme Shoah, de Claude Lanzmann, de modo a explicitar como, a partir desses fragmentos poéticos, é possível reconsiderar a questão do arquivo e da memória, conceitos-chave do projeto estético e político do diretor.

The article presents ways in which the future is represented in the recollections of eyewitnesses to the W arsaw U prising. T he analytical material comprises a collection of over 4,000 interviews, accessible to a wide audience through the searchable Oral History A rchive website. For the purpose of the research, a corpus comprising 28,356,577 tokens (running words) was created in collaboration with the Polish branch of the European Research Infrastructure CLARIN and tools such as the online KonText search engine were used. T he study employed both quantitative (corpus based) and qualitative methods, with the latter inspired by discourse techniques and deeply rooted in the social sciences. T he analysis of this extensive data set allowed the authors to reconstruct the perception of the future during the challenging times of coercion and threat characteristic of wartime, especially during the W arsaw U prising. T hree key aspects of how the future is reflected in the past were identified, aligning closely with sociological theories about future-oriented thinking. T he first aspect pertains to the distant future, which appears in recollections where the moment of reminiscence is set before the war, and to the short-term future, where wartime events serve as a point of reference. The second aspect is related to the sphere of human life in the context of prospective thinking, including both the future of social life and the future of private life, each marked by a forward-looking orientation. The third case includes expressions of a lack of future, equated with a sense of hopelessness and uncertainty. T his outlook, focused on the here and now, views the future as precarious and threatening.

At the turn of the first millennium, some Jaina thinkers raised an unprecedented question: why should one story be accepted over others? This question emerged within a social and religious environment in which various groups told and retold competing versions of popular narratives, such as the Rāmāyaṇa and the Mahābhārata. While certain groups privileged specific versions, they rarely articulated the criteria by which a story should be evaluated or accepted as authoritative. This dissertation examines how a body of Jaina narrative literature called the Investigation of Dharma confronts this question. Focusing on its two earliest extant versions—Hariṣeṇa’s Apabhramsha Dhammaparikkhā (988 CE) and Amitagati’s Sanskrit Dharmaparīkṣā (1014 CE)—I argue that the Investigation models a theory of adjudicating narrative credibility and, by extension, testimonial authority. Through a close analysis of these texts, I demonstrate how their authors used narrative literature to train audiences in evaluating the credibility of stories, thereby cultivating readers capable of discerning authoritative knowledge from falsehood. These works, I argue, engage a rich premodern South Asian literary milieu—one characterized by multiple coexisting versions of shared stories—in order to offer explicit models for evaluating the truthfulness of stories and the ethical stakes of accepting or rejecting them.
Framed by the repeated appearance of two Vidyādhara protagonists—a Jaina layman and his friend—who engage in debate with Brahmins by presenting a series of implausible stories, the Investigation uses narrative form to stage epistemological dilemmas that mirror those faced by readers of purāṇic literature. These nested stories raise questions about what makes a story credible and what it means to evaluate a story’s claims. In this reading, the Investigation functions as a literary device for cultivating epistemic virtues in its audience by immersing them in staged scenarios that demand critical evaluation and judgment of the stories they encounter. Moreover, my dissertation demonstrates that Hariṣeṇa and Amitagati did not write in a vacuum. By situating the Investigation in conversation with a broader body of Jaina thinkers across languages and time, I reconstruct the ways its authors conceptualized their project in relation to their literary environment and intellectual interlocutors. Framed in this way, I suggest, the Investigation emerges as part of a wider Jaina discourse on reason and the evaluation of authority—one that opens further possibilities for the study of South Asian literature.

Iglesia ratifica posteriormente esta decisión política por un decreto del papa Alejandro II, de modo que la convivencia judeo-cristiana queda legitimada, no sólo ante los hombres sino también ante Dios. Además, la doctrina agustiniana, vigente hasta finales del s. xii, promulgaba que los judíos -como depositarios del Antiguo Testamento-debían ser respetados (aun a sabiendas de que sobre ellos recae la responsabilidad del terrible crimen cometido contra Cristo) y debían ser admitidos en la comunidad cristiana en la esperanza de una conversión voluntaria. No obstante, se mencionaba sólo su conservación, como un vestigio del pasado, no su desarrollo, fortalecimiento y expansión, lo que, en consecuencia, amputaba brutalmente las libertades judías. En realidad, la comunidad judía siempre vivió en un régimen de sometimiento a la comunidad cristiana, que le reconocía muchos más deberes que derechos, puesto que los judíos, que no podían prestar juramento según la fórmula cristiana -la única que garantizaba la libertad y la integración en la sociedad-, no eran considerados como auténticos subditos, sino «servidumbre» que formaba parte del patrimonio personal del Rey^. Con el paso del tiempo y el aumento de la población judía, la situación no mejora. Recientemente empezó a circular el libro que Dolores Hernández dedicó al estudio de una rama de su familia. Es una obra que desde el comienzo atrapa por el realismo con el que la autora perfila a sus protagonistas, como las personas reales que fueron, ubicadas en un periodo de grandes cambios y, no menos importante, porque ese relato revela su vocación de historiadora y divulgadora del conocimiento. Al acercarnos al entorno de la familia Guerrero, a sus actividades y peripecias, vamos conociendo, a la par, el contexto regional y nacional. En esta historia se recupera a un hombre singular: Sotero Guerrero Álvarez, el abuelo materno, un ranchero emprendedor originario del estado de Hidalgo que vivió en la última parte del siglo xix y principios del xx. Guatemala has been torn by class, race, gender, and politics throughout its history. During the late nineteenth-century coffee boom, elites expanded their landholdings at the expense of peasant communities. The new landowners exerted their power over the Indigenous and poor ladino (non-Indigenous) population, forcing them to labor in the plantations with little to no compensation. In 1954, the United States aided in a coup that overthrew president Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán, whose social reforms provided hope to the subjugated. The continued exploitation and discrimination that the natives and poor ladinos bore ultimately led to the Guatemalan Civil war of 1960. The civil war was a 36-year battle between left-wing guerrillas and the Guatemalan government, however, government officials increasingly targeted non-combatant, civilian populations. In the military's attempt to end the rebellions they implemented a systematic use of terror, annihilating over 200,000 people, of which 80 percent were Indigenous, while capturing over 45,000 people who were then forcibly "disappeared." Women also became targeted victims of mass rape and sexual violence. These realities lead to some essential questions. In what ways was gender essential to counterinsurgency tactics? How did the impact of this war affect Indigenous women and men differently? What impact did this war have on Indigenous women and cultures? Were women able to resist and rise above the oppressive state? Race and class intersected with gender, and all three were essential component in Guatemala's Civil war as women, the poor, and Indigenous people bore the brunt of the violence. Yet, Indigenous women and men overcame the brutalities they encountered by galvanizing Mayans in order to unite and resist the state's inflicted oppression. Through aggressive guerrilla insurgency women's empowerment and actions, and pressures from pan-Mayan mobilization the Guatemalan government was forced to cease battle.

This paper looks at how marginalized communities utilize discursive practices to contest against an unresponsive state malfeasance and hegemonic bureaucracy to ensure basic rights and state services for the marginalized. Focusing on the People’s Vigilance Committee for Human Rights (PVCHR), a memberbased human rights movement in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, the paper aims to tell the unique story of PVCHR’s work to combat custodial torture through an innovative method called “testimonial therapy.” The testimonial therapy process is aimed at producing both legal testimony and cathartic release of suffering among torture survivors. In underscoring the importance of attention to narrative practices, the paper, while not overlooking narrative’s risks, focuses on the practical opportunities that narrative practices create for peacebuilders.

One of the very few autobiographical texts presented in the House of Terror Museum (Terror Háza) in Budapest, and the only one which has appeared as a book and demands to be read as literature, is Alaine Polcz’s memoir/autobiographical novel Asszony a fronton: Egy fejezet az életemből (Woman on the front: A chapter from my life) (2005 [1991]).1 Polcz’s book is the first and so far only first-person narrative written in Hungary that takes on the task, so to speak, of the experience of the mass rapes committed by the Soviet troops in 1944–45 in territories from which they were pushing out the Germans. At the time of its first publication in 1991, the book stirred waves as the first female voice speaking openly of a suppressed memory of many women, of a historical trauma not discussed in Eastern Europe until the collapse of communism.2 Polcz’s Asszony a fronton is a highly complex autobiographical narrative that

RESUMO: O procedimento de entrega legal do filho para a adoção pode representar uma exceção à ordem de efetivação do Direito à Convivência Familiar, já que, ao reconhecer o direito ao sigilo materno, impede o acesso do adotivo ao genitor e à família ampliada. Outro problema decorrente do sigilo é a violação do direito à origem, já que o adotivo teria acesso apenas aos dados maternos. Assim, para verificar se o sigilo materno viola o direito à origem do filho, o presente trabalho analisou a adoção como forma de efetivação do Direito à Convivência Familiar, examinando o procedimento de entrega legal para adoção e o direito à origem como aspectos do direito à identidade de crianças e adolescentes. En esta charla abordo la temática de la música como experiencia comunitaria. En esta línea, quiero plantear una invitación a entender la música y la educación musical como una experiencia que no solo es colectiva sin, ante todo, comunitaria. Al mismo tiempo, quiero instalar la idea según la cual el educador musical del Siglo XXI está llamado a ser algo más que alguien que enseña música. Este algo más tiene que ver con una comprensión más profunda del aporte de la música de la sociedad contemporánea, un aporte que, desde mi perspectiva no es solo estético sino también existencial y, me arriesgaría a decir, también espiritual.

Este capítulo tem como objetivos apresentar o conceito de justiça estética e explicitar sua relevância para a filosofia da educação. Entendemos por filosofia da educação o ramo da filosofia que busca pensar o sentido da educação, e por educação, o processo por meio do qual uma comunidade transmite a seus membros os saberes e comportamentos necessários tanto à continuação e aperfeiçoamento da sua existência enquanto coletividade, quanto ao desenvolvimento dos indivíduos que a compõem. Visando combater a injustiça estéticaconceito que denota qualquer dano causado às capacidades estéticas de um sujeito -, uma filosofia da educação preocupada com a justiça estética deve facilitar o desenvolvimento da imaginação, percepção e sensibilidade. Por isso, a filosofia da educação que defendemos não é apenas teórica, mas também prática, e abrange em seu horizonte a educação musical. A América Latina tem vivenciado processos de rupturas e de retomada
dos regimes democráticos, que nos fazem repensar o seu passado autoritário.
Trata-se de um desafio que estimula a construir e defender uma perspectiva de aprofundamento das democracias latino-americanas. Esta coletânea tem por finalidade apresentar reflexões de especialistas brasileiros e de outros países latino-americanos sobre as ditaduras e as transições democráticas na América Latina, no século XX.
Tendo como marco temporal inicial o golpe militar de 1954, na Guatemala, este livro aborda, a partir da História do Tempo Presente, os processos de construções políticas, sociais e culturais das ditaduras, assim como os períodos de transição e reconstrução das democracias em países como Brasil, Chile, Bolívia, Guatemala, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguai.
Estão reunidas nesta publicação diversas possibilidades interpretativas, sejam teóricas ou a partir de experiências específicas, em diálogo com o
momento atual da região. Para contemplar a diversidade desses fenômenos, os capítulos apresentam reflexões sobre temas clássicos da agenda de pesquisa sobre os períodos autoritários, como golpes de Estado, por exemplo, e também investigações que têm auxiliado na renovação historiográfica em diversos países.
O livro apresenta dezesseis artigos de pesquisadores latino-americanos, dentre eles, docentes e pós-graduandos, que, a partir de suas pesquisas, possibilitam um relevante diálogo entre as diversas experiências de Nuestra América.

In this paper, I address the question of what has led Israeli society to a situation in which it is committing genocide. Since the answer to this question is necessarily complex and multidimensional, I focus on one of its components: the severe deterioration in the Israeli perception of the Palestinians, which has rendered them non-human. The analysis is based on the concept of abjection and integrates insights from psychoanalytic and anthropological theory. I argue that in the current war, Israelis have come to perceive Palestinians as so abject that they are no longer regarded as human beings, and therefore the moral law no longer applies to them. Paradoxically and tragically, the process occurring within the collective Israeli consciousness—whereby Palestinians are relegated to a state of abjection—rebounds back onto the Israelis themselves. They too sink into a state of abjection, in which the capacity for moral thought is undermined, significantly weakening their ability to constitute themselves as a collective national subject.

בחיבור זה אני רוצה להידרש לשאלה מה הביא את החברה הישראלית למצב שבו היא מבצעת רצח עם?  מכיוון שהתשובה לשאלה זו היא בהכרח מורכבת ורב ממדית, אתמקד במרכיב אחד שלה, והוא הנסיגה החמורה שחלה בתפיסה הישראלית את הפלסטינים, שהפכה אותם ללא אנושיים. הניתוח שאציג מתבסס על מושג הבזות ומשלב תובנות מהתיאוריה הפסיכואנליטית והאנתרופולוגית. אטען כי במלחמה הנוכחית, הישראלים הפכו את הפלסטינים לבזויים עד כדי כך שהם אינם נתפסים עוד כבני אדם, ולכן חוקי המוסר אינם חלים עליהם. באופן פרדוקסלי וטרגי, התהליך המתרחש בתודעה הקולקטיבית של הישראלים שבו הפלסטינים נדחקים למצב של בזות גולש בחזרה אל הישראלים עצמם. הם צונחים למצב של בזות שבו מתערערת היכולת לחשיבה מוסרית, דבר שמחליש מאוד את יכולתם לכונן את עצמם כסובייקט לאומי קולקטיבי.

Gaze of Love -Simone Weil's Reflections on Spiritual Desire (…) the recitation of the name of the Lord really has the power of transforming the soul. Religion is nothing else but this promise of God. Every religious practice, every rite, all liturgy is a form of the recitation of the name of the Lord and in principle should have a real virtue, the virtue of saving whoever devotes himself to performing it with desire.

Artkuł publikowany w 2016 nawiązuje do wyprawy, jaką autor wraz kolegą podjęli w 1970 roku motocyklem do Wiednia, a po przepracowaniu w wiedeńskiej firmie prawie całego miesiąca wyruszyli w podróż także do Włoch. Głównym wątkiem artykułu są związki między Wiedniem i Krakowem między innymi wyrażające się w organizowanie konkursów dla studentów pod hasłem "Kraków w Wiedniu i Wiedeń w Krakowie".

Although exercising torture has been a commonality between the previous regime in Iran (a secular government headed by the Shah) and the Islamic Republic, drawing on Zizek's reading of the discourses of the master and university we can detect a qualitative difference in the two regimes' approach towards torture. In the reign of the Shah, torture complemented the Shah's gesture of the symbolic father of the nation, thereby desexualized even in cases where torture involved prisoners' sex organs, whereas in the Islamic republic era, torture complements conservative hardliner's lesson that Islamic teachings are not dictated by them but, rather, are neutral knowledge about innate inclinations of human beings. In the conservative hardliner's version, western culture, apart from its science and technology, leads people astray as it propagates animality in human beings, especially when it comes to sexuality. Our efforts to learn the lesson are doomed to failure, yet because the unconscious remains unarticulated this failure is embodied including in the figure of the Islamic Republic's interrogator who knows something about us, especially about our sexuality, which we ourselves can never know; hence torturing political prisoners is sexualized in the Islamic Republic even in cases where it does not involve physically or verbally prisoners' sex organs. In this situation, a political act involves a hyper-agreement with the interrogator: we wouldn't mind making confessions to anything attributed to us by the interrogator if he is included in the confessions as the one who told us to do it.

Introito François Gorphe (1889-1959) se erige como una figura central en el pensamiento jurídico francés del siglo XX, destacando por su trabajo pionero en la intersección del derecho procesal y la psicología judicial (1). Can we see AI as a testifier? Or can it be no more than a tool? Earlier, Ryan et al. (2020) conducted a cross-cultural study to empirically examine the Credit View of Knowledge, using Lackey’s Chicago Visitor case. Building on that study, we examined the patterns of people’s testimonial knowledge attribution by comparing a case in which the true belief of an agent is based on the testimony of a human and a case in which it is based on the “testimony” of an AI assistant. We found that people responded differently to the two cases, especially in their reasons for attributing knowledge to the recipient of testimony, differentiating the epistemic role of the recipient of testimony in the two cases, suggesting that, for ordinary people, AI is more like a tool than an agent, at least today. Also, concerning the Credit View, insofar as the folk notion of credit is concerned, Lackey was right and knowledge is possible without credit, but our results may still be consistent with the Credit View if we re-interpret the notion of credit based on the notions of reliability and proper method, as diverging depending on whether the testifier is a human or an AI. Moreover, we found some important cultural differences, which deserve independent attention and discussion.

History, Historians, and Autobiography rend manifestes la spécificité des écritures de soi dans les autobiographies d'historiens, et leur diversité. L'essai de Jeremy D. Popkin permet ainsi de cerner l'originalité de Quand vient le souvenir…, le récit autobiographique de Saul Friedländer proposant moins un retour sur la pratique historique qu'un acte de réarticulation morale de l'histoire et du témoignage. L'ouvrage de Popkin se saisit de la tradition des autobiographies d'historiens, apparue en même temps que le renouvellement de l'autobiographie littéraire. Les Memoirs of My Life (1796) d'Edward Gibbon inaugurent un corpus où s'intègrent plusieurs historiens du XIX e siècle, avant la floraison des textes de la fin du XX e siècle qu'illustrent, parmi bien d'autres, les Essais d'ego-histoire réunis par Pierre Nora (1987). Popkin inscrit son étude dans la réflexion théorique suscitée par le genre autobiographique. S'il se fait l'écho de perspectives littéraires, telles celles de Philippe Lejeune en France, il intègre également des développements méthodologiques venus des sciences humaines et sociales. Un tournant qualitatif, soulignant l'importance des représentations des sujets étudiés, y a favorisé la prise en compte des témoignages autobiographiques comme matériau. Les récits de vie suscités et étudiés par les sociologues de l'« École de Chicago » dans les années 1930, ou bien encore ceux qui ont été réunis par Pierre Bourdieu et ses collaborateurs dans La Misère du monde (1997) relèvent principalement de cette nouvelle attention accordée aux récits de témoins. ¿Cómo entender el surgimiento de nuevas narrativas digitales que cada día avanzan con más fuerza? ¿Qué hacer con una comunicación dominada por reels, emojis o stickers? ¿Estamos ante el desplazamiento de la escritura, tal como la conocíamos, por otros formatos? ¿y ese desplazamiento, acaso, marca un cambio de era?

El testimonio actúa como una vía esencial para acceder al conocimiento ajeno, apoyándose en atributos del hablante y del oyente que permiten su credibilidad. Son relevantes tres dimensiones clave: (a) competencia, que refleja la capacidad de transmitir o recibir información con rigor; (b) dependencia, que sitúa el valor epistemológico en el contexto social y la confiabilidad del entorno; y (c) sinceridad, condición ética del hablante para actuar con integridad comunicativa. En un mundo afectado por la proliferación de noticias falsas, estas categorías ofrecen un marco para evaluar críticamente las informaciones que recibimos.

La reflexión destaca que gran parte de lo que conocemos—desde datos cotidianos hasta diagnósticos médicos—depende del testimonio de otras personas. Esta dimensión epistémica, central a la epistemología social, revela que gran parte del conocimiento se transmite de generación en generación sin verificación directa. El testimonio permite ahorrar esfuerzos de confirmación, crear confianza en la comunidad y superar barreras temporales y espaciales. Sin embargo, surgen debates clave: ¿es el testimonio una fuente primaria o derivada del conocimiento? ¿Transmite o genera conocimiento? La postura antiindividualista sostiene que el conocimiento no se basa solo en capacidades internas sino también en dinámicas relacionales y sociales.

What associations can we establish between an image  of  a  military  parade  in  1971,  another  image  that  a photojournalist kept for a decade before publishing it, an Air Force photograph of political prisoners exchanged for  an  ambassador,  the  use  of  this  same  image  in  a  documentary,  an  advertisement  saying  that  a  television  set survived torture, and the broadcast of the 1970 World Cup?  This  study  gathers  and  analyzes  several  ways  in  which images operate narrative disputes surrounding the meaning of the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985) and, based on the juxtaposition of images, discusses the terms of disputes that put our past and our future at stake.

Una investigación con diferentes metodologías analiza la incidencia de las redes sociales en las opiniones políticas individuales de las personas: muestra desde lo cuantitativo que lo generacional desarticula la relación redes sociales- voto; en lo cualitativo la díada redes sociales – voto se encuentra atravesada por el interés en la política y la edad de las personas.
Una encuesta domiciliaria muestra que a partir del corte etario de 71 años es nula la influencia reconocida de las redes sociales en las opiniones políticas de las personas a la hora de votar. Las franjas de edad anteriores registran entre 8% y 27% de “prestar mucha atención a lo que dicen las redes sociales a la hora de votar” y entre 9% y 42% de “prestar poca atención”; el género no posee incidencia.
Los porcentajes de “no prestar atención a lo que dicen las redes sociales a la hora del voto” oscilan entre el 41% y el 72%, éste último porcentaje en la franja etaria de 63 a 70 años, negando a partir de los 71 años los consultados tener en cuenta a las redes sociales en el voto.
Todos los encuestados sin estudios o con primaria incompleta prestan mucha o poca atención a la redes sociales al momento del sufragio. Sobre el resto de los consultados, el nivel de estudio de las personas no incide en la relación redes sociales – voto.
De los encuestados casi 5 de cada 10 presta mucha (18%) o poca (27%) atención a las redes sociales a la hora de sufragar;  poco más de la mitad (52%) dice que no presta atención.
A efectos de profundizar el estudio se llevaron a cabo grupos focales a estudiantes universitarios: si bien lo generacional es un marcador de habitualidad e interacción con las redes social “tengo más de 60 (años)...Pero no estoy muy enganchada. Me cuesta leer (de celulares y/o computadoras)… soy de otra época”; “se ha abierto mucho la brecha generacional, a los más grandes nos cuesta mucho entender lógicas que nos son ajenas porque no nacimos con esto”; de acuerdo a las diversas opiniones la influencia de las redes sociales en el voto es preponderante en los sectores poblacionales menos interesados en la política, “Más que nada influye en la gente que no milita o no tiene una definición política”; “hay gente apolítica, que no se interesa en nada y por ahí influyen”; “Yo creo que si uno tiene la convicción o la ideología bien marcada no te van a influir por más que te digan”,  verificándose el efecto de la tercera persona “Yo creo personalmente que no (me afectan a mí las redes sociales), pero sí creo que influyen a otras personas”; “Tengo un perfil ideológico que viene desde mi familia y … las redes no van a influenciar mi voto. Pero hay gente en las que sí”.

De Hiroshima à Tchernobyl : comment vivre à l'âge atomique ? Nous sommes, depuis 1945, confrontés à la production d'un homme nouveau, non seulement en tant que genre humain -ce que toutes les formes de la Modernité ont tenté, avec plus ou moins de chance, de fabriquer, et tout particulièrement le système soviétique -, mais aussi et surtout en tant qu'espèce (menacée). S'agissant de l'espèce humaine, cette grande mutation a en réalité commencé il y a plusieurs décennies avec la réalisation des essais nucléaires dans l'atmosphère. Lesdits « essais » ont déjà commencé à produire leurs effets, depuis l'irradiation du pêcheur japonais Atichimi Kuboyama, première victime civile de l'expérimentation en plein air, jusqu'à la mise en évidence récente, au Canada et en Russie notamment, de leurs conséquences sanitaires. On peut considérer que, peu ou prou, 150 millions de Soviétiques et autant d'Américains ont subi à différents niveaux les retombées des essais atmosphériques entre 1946 et 1963 (année du traité d'interdiction des essais aériens), soit 300 millions de personnes. On a libéré durant cette période l'équivalent de 10 000 bombes d'Hiroshima, à quoi se sont ajoutés ensuite les dégagements de rejets radioactifs gazeux dus aux essais souterrains. Les rejets radioactifs libérés dans l'atmosphère par les explosions (70 % du total), qui devaient théoriquement se répartir de manière égale sur toute la planète, furent aspirés par des courants de haute altitude et se sont, en réalité, concentrés autour du 40 e parallèle avant de

Témoigner sur Tchernobyl : les sciences humaines et l'art face à la catastrophe G. Grandazzi, F. Lemarchand, avec le concours de V. Symaniec Quinze ans après l'accident de la centrale de Tchernobyl, sept millions de personnes vivent aujourd'hui, et pour longtemps encore, dans les territoires contaminés de Biélorussie, d'Ukraine et de Russie. On peut aisément comprendre les raisons pour lesquelles les pays les plus nucléarisés du monde ont tout mis en oeuvre pour dissimuler cette histoire et tenté, par différents moyens médiatiques et scientifiques, de « faire passer » et/ou d'occulter ce passé. On pourrait également comprendre les raisons pour lesquelles l'Histoire, dans son sens moderne d'histoire des vainqueurs 1 , ne parvient pas à prendre sens autour d'un tel passé, à l'instar de la Shoah ou d'Hiroshima. Cette histoire-là, celle de la première catastrophe technologique civile majeure de l'humanité, n'a pas produit de héros : les « liquidateurs », glorieusement sacrifiés sur l'autel des intérêts supérieurs de l'État et de la rationalité technique, agonisent silencieusement dans les hôpitaux. Elle n'a pas engendré non plus de grand récit : elle ne figure pas dans les livres d'histoire. Mais elle n'en a pas disparu pour autant de la mémoire ni du quotidien des millions de personnes dont elle a littéralement changé le monde. Ainsi, persuadés que seule la mobilisation de ces mémoires de vaincus, individuelles ou collectives, de ces mémoires silencieuses des « sans parole » sera véritablement « à la hauteur » pour rendre compte de la situation dans sa dimension inédite et radicalement nouvelle pour l'humanité, c'est-à-dire à hauteur d'homme, quelques écrivains, artistes, metteurs en scène ou réalisateurs ont envisagé d'en livrer l'expression à partir du recueil des témoignages, au travers de diverses oeuvres, dont la plus retentissante aura indéniablement été celle de l'écrivain biélorusse Svetlana Alexiévitch : La Supplication, vendue à des centaines de milliers d'exemplaires à travers le monde, et désormais adaptée au théâtre. Partageant le même souci et la même attention à la question du témoignage, le recueil de la parole des habitants des zones contaminées, dans le cadre d'une recherche à caractère socio-anthropologique menée en Biélorussie de 1997 à 1999, nous amène à penser que les sciences humaines et l'art sont susceptibles de produire du sens quant à ce qu'on pourrait qualifier, en empruntant l'expression à Günther Anders (1995), de « bloc saillant de l'histoire », alors que les sciences « dures », principalement sollicitées dans le cadre des tentatives de compréhension de la catastrophe et de gestion de ses conséquences, contribuent à occulter la dimension métaphysique et politique de Tchernobyl. La question à laquelle nous renvoie l'histoire du XX ème siècle, parmi les décombres des deux guerres mondiales, du nazisme et du stalinisme, et à présent ceux de la catastrophe nucléaire, est finalement celle de la fin de l'historisme, c'est-à-dire de l'écriture de notre propre histoire comme récit fondateur pour les générations à venir. « Le vingtième siècle est un monstre historique, réfractaire à tout rangement dans la succession des époques humaines », remarque Alain Finkielkraut (2000). Comment écrire une histoire sur une série de catastrophes, le plus souvent ramenées à des « erreurs du passé » ? Que faire des fragments épars de la mémoire des vaincus ?
