This study examines the role of principals’ supervision on the relationship between students’ personnel services and academic achievement in secondary schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. The study investigated students' personnel library services and sustainable secondary education in Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State. To achieve this purpose, one null hypothesis was generated to direct the study. Survey research design was adopted for the study. Stratified random sampling technique was used to sample seven hundred and ten (710) senior secondary two (SS11) students out of a population of 6131 students for the study. The Students' Personnel Library Services and Sustainable Secondary Education Questionnaire (SPLSSSEQ) was the instrument used for data collection. The instrument was validated by experts in Measurements and Evaluation in the University of Calabar. The reliability coefficients of the instrument ranged from 0.71 to 0.86 using Cronbach reliability method. Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistical technique was used for data analysis and the hypothesis was tested at .05 level of significance. The result of the study revealed that students' personnel library services significantly related with sustainable secondary education in terms of learning environment, instructional strategies and curriculum relevance. Premised on this finding, it was recommended that both the government and school administrators should ensure that adequate students' personnel library services are provided to enhance sustainable secondary education.

Data collected was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis in the questionnaire data, while the interview data was analyzed thematically. Results indicate that four out of the five direct hypotheses formulated for the study were supported. Specifically, there is a relationship between library, guidance and counselling, extracurricular, health services and academic achievement. On the other hand, only two out of five of principal's supervision moderates these relationships. The interview findings reveal that the provision and supervision of these services is an important factor that influences academic achievement. Finally, this study demonstrates that the importance of principal's supervision cannot be ignored, as it is an essential factor for achieving students' academic success. Thus, this study has contributed to the body of knowledge practically, theoretically, and methodologically.

Hence, this study recognizes its importance in the teaching-learning process in Mathematics especially in plane and solid Geometry among college students. The study was undertaken primarily to determine the extent of home promotion on early literacy of emergent learners in one Day Care Center in the Philippines. The study made used of descriptive-correlational research design with questionnaire as the main instrument in gathering data from forty (40) parent-respondents using purposive convenience sampling. The frequency, mean, percentage and Pearson-r were used as statistical tools to analyze the result of the gathered data. Results revealed that promotion of early literacy is very much evident and family involvement activities that promote early literacy are always being done at home. More so, statistical analysis would show the respondents' level of home promotion and family involvement activities are significantly related. It was recommended that continuous provision of a literacy-rich home environment and establishment of open communication between the parents and the school should be sustained in order to have a successful early literacy instruction for emergent learners.

T-test analysis was used to determine the significant difference between students' performance in the two classes. Result of the study revealed significant difference in the students' performance between the two groups. A homogeneous students' performance in the experimental group was observed as evidenced by a practically the same high scores obtained by the students in the post test. It therefore implies that the use of multilingual instruction in mathematics significantly contributed to the performance of the students.

The study examined the value of language and communication in the context of social adjustment among international students in China. The sample for the study consisted of a total of Two Hundred and Fifty Four Students from two universities in NorthEast China. The Social Adjustment Scale and Chinese Language Proficiency Scale were employed to collect data. The study revealed that cultural background and the official language of the international students have a significant effect on Chinese language proficiency. The result of the study also established a significant effect of one year language study on Chinese language acquisition and a significant effect of length of stay in the host country on students' ability to communicate effectively in Chinese language. Conclusively, this work emphasizes the essence of language acquisition as an adjustment strategy in China which can also form a basis for other migration and adjustment patterns.

The study determined the stress and academic performance among dental clinicians of LPU College of Dentistry for the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. Specifically, it determined the profile of the dental clinicians in terms of age, year level and gender. It also identified the level of stress in terms of living accommodation, interpersonal relationship, academic performance, clinical skills and miscellaneous factor; to analyze the academic performance based on the general weighted average of the dental clinicians per semester. It also determined the significant responses in the level of stress when grouped according to profile variables and the relationship between stress and academic performance. The findings showed that a moderate level of stress was experienced by the respondents with regards to the following factors namely: living accommodation, academics and clinical skills. As to the academic performance of the respondents, it decreased from satisfactory to fairly satisfactory as the academic year progresses to clinical training. Differences of the responses as to the level of stress between respondents differ as academic year progresses in congruence with the age bracket but as to the gender, no significant difference was determined.

Performance appraisal plays significant role in lecturers' productivity. There is general opinion that the Nigerian university education is decaying in terms of the quality of its outputs, thus necessitating this study. The present study therefore investigated the relationship between performance appraisal criteria and lecturers' productivity in universities in southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria. Correlational survey method was employed for the study.The population of the study comprised all 4,991 lecturers of the five federal universities in southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria. Proportional sampling technique was used to select 1,360 lecturers from the five federal universities using Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sampling table. The study indicated that the level of lecturers' productivity in teaching in universities in Southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria is on the average; that level of lecturers' productivity in research in universities in Southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria is high; and that the level of lecturers' productivity in community service in universities in Southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria is low. The study concluded that to enhance lecturers' productivity especially in teaching and community service, lecturers' performance appraisal criteria must be reviewed. Based on the findings of the study, it was therefore recommended among others that the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National University Commission should review the performance appraisal criteria of academic staff especially those in humanities related disciplines.

The quest for effective management of
educational institution in Nigeria required concerted
efforts of all stakeholders in education system. Sequel
to this, the paper examines the vice-chancellors
managerial effectiveness of universities in Edo and
Kwara states, Nigeria. The target population
comprised all vice-chancellors in eleven Universities
in Edo and Kwara states (seven universities in Edo
and four in Kwara states). Four universities were
selected through a stratified random sampling
technique in two states. Proportional sampling
technique was used to select 2000 respondents
comprising 1000 students and 1000 staff from four
universities. Descriptive research design was adopted
for the study. The paper recommends that vicechancellors should improve on staff motivation and
better welfare packages for students and staff in
Nigeria Universities.

Most of the schools underserve high-ability and highly motivated students by denying them access to high-quality mathematics and giving only opportunities for the disadvantaged students through intervention programs. Hence, a Mathletes Training Program was initially implemented in order to expose these students to advance Mathematics and to bring their mathematical knowledge alive through engaging in outside school competitions and real life activities. However, the absence of an evaluation tool discontinued the program. This prompts the researchers to design an evaluation instrument to measure the effectiveness of the mathletes program in terms of attitude towards Mathematics and self-concept of the mathletes after undergoing the training. This study then details the development and validation of the Mathletes Training Program Evaluation Instrument. Samples of 60 elementary and junior high student-respondents were randomly selected from the total population of 211 Mathletes. Using Exploratory Factor Analysis, findings revealed that the three constructs-attitude toward math(ATM), mathlete training program(MTP) and self-concept (SC) were suited for factor analysis (KMO> 0.5) and were all reliable with Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.72, 0.73 and 0.85 respectively and overall reliability of Cronbach's alpha of 0 .84. From 20 ATM items, 61% had good factor loadings (>.4), 3 items were dropped and 5 factors were finally identified. Twenty-one (21) out of 25 MTP items captured 63% of the variance of the program effectiveness identified 7 factors after a reduction method. For the 12-item self-concept construct (SC), 3 factors were identified and captured approximately 61% of the total variance of the program effectiveness using the 3 factors. The results show that there is adequate evidence that the program evaluation tool designed is valid and reliable.

Provision of Guidance and Counselling in schools has not assumed a desirable position in Nigeria despite the long years of its introduction. This study therefore investigated the perception of the stakeholders in education about the effectiveness of guidance and counselling services in secondary schools in Ekiti state Nigeria in order to ascertain the challenges facing it. The study adopted descriptive survey design with a sample of 585 education stakeholders (400 students, 100 teachers and 85 parents) selected from 10 schools in the state. Data through the use of questionnaire titled Perception of Stakeholders on Counselling Effectiveness (PSCE), were analyzed. The results indicated that all the stakeholders perceived counselling services to be adequate (students,90%; teachers, 93%, parents, 76.5 %,) and also effective (students, 89.5%; teachers, 90% and parents, 84.7%). However some challenges were identified. The study therefore concluded that though delivery of guidance and counselling services in schools in Ekiti State face some challenges yet the education stakeholders perceived it to be very effective.

The study aims to determine the correlation between the level of laboratory performance in the professional courses and the level of internship performance in different affiliated hospitals/centers of the physical therapy students. Descriptive-correlational type of research method was utilized in the study. Findings revealed that the laboratory performance of the Physical Therapy students was found significant with positive correlation in the internship performance. Students who perform well inside the classroom have also the possibility to perform better in the clinical education. Students' clinical performance improves as training experience increases. The skills acquired in the classroom were highly utilized in different affiliated hospitals/centers were they are deployed.

The study was aimed at finding out the impact of using Tiv language in teaching and learning mathematics on students' achievement in the subject. The study covered Education zone B of Benue state. One hundred and fifty-one junior secondary one (JS1) students randomly selected from six secondary schools in the zone were involved in the study. One research instrument, junior school mathematics achievement test (JSMAT) was used for data collection after five weeks of treatment. The reliability coefficient of JSMAT was found to be 0.88 computed using KR 20. The experimental group was taught using lesson plans in Tiv language while the control group was taught using lesson plans in English language. The data collected was analyzed using student t-test. Findings from the study showed that the students taught using Tiv language only performed better than those taught using English language only. The findings also showed that the students taught mathematics using Tiv language only in the urban schools performed better than those in the rural areas. From the results of the study it was recommended that the use of Tiv language in teaching mathematics should be encourage by the federal government at the basic education level.

The study aimed to find out the benefits of co-curricular activities of the Financial and Management Accounting Students to their academic performance, skills, attitudes and knowledge; to identify the reasons in joining in activities; to be aware about the benefits of co-curricular activities to their academic performance; and to know the factors that affect in joining co-curricular activities. The descriptive method of research utilizing the normative survey technique was employed in the study. Results showed that majority of the respondents are female, 19-20 years old, with 2.01-2.25 general weighted average. Pleasure and enjoyment are the most common reasons of students why they join the activities. The benefits of these activity matter over the knowledge, skills, attitude and academic performance. Peer, family, student and school are the factors that affect the students in joining co-curricular activities.

This study examined the place of graduate qualification in principal appointment process in Nigeria. It also investigated the influence of principals' graduate qualifications on secondary school effectiveness in Nigeria. Using the descriptive survey design, the study adopted multi-stage sampling technique. Three instruments: "School Effectiveness Questionnaire for Principals" (SEQP), "School Effectiveness Questionnaire for Teachers" (SEQT) and a semi structured Interview Guide were used in the study. The study found that: graduate qualification had no influence on selection to the post of principal as it was not one of the requisite qualifications for appointment as principal; that quality of the school principal in terms of qualification possessed had positive influence on school effectiveness. Incorporation of relevant post graduate certification as part of requirement for principal appointment was recommended.

This paper analyzed leadership principles and its implications for stability in Nigerian education system that leadership is a commendatory concept that attracts the attention of all because it is the key to human direction. Analysis of the experience in Nigeria was undertaking, against the back drop of pointing and counter pointing of accusing fingers on who is to be blame for the unending instability being experience in the education system. In considering Nigerian experience, it was observed that our leaders particularly Principals, Provosts, Rectors and Vice Chancellors lack most of these principles which are key qualities of a leader that is why we have continually experienced instability of one form or the other across the strata of the school system. Accordingly it is hereby suggested among others that our leaders must shy away from mediocrity and pursue justice no matter what it will cost them, as this is the only guaranty for purposeful leadership.

This study investigated the impediments on the implementation of Computer Science Education (CSE) curriculum in public secondary schools in Osun state, Nigeria. It assessed the extent to which CSE curriculum had been implemented in Osun State public secondary schools. It also determined the availability and quality of computer teachers in public secondary schools in the State. It further determined the availability of computer facilities in public secondary schools in the state and examined stake-holders attitude towards the non-implementation of CSE curriculum in public schools in the State. 60 teachers were randomly selected from the six educational zones in the State. Data were collected using a questionnaire titled 'Computer Science Education Curriculum Implementation Questionnaire (CSECIQ). The findings of the study showed that the extent of CSE curriculum implementation in the State was very low (18.33%) at the Secondary school level. It further showed that there were available and qualified computer science teachers in the schools (78.30%). However, result further revealed that there were no computer facilities in the schools and lastly it revealed that the attitude of stakeholders to CSE curriculum implementation in the state is poor. The study concluded that a lot of factors are responsible for the low implementation of Computer Education in the public secondary schools in Osun state of Nigeria. The major factor is the non provision of Computer facilities in the public schools for teaching and learning despite the government knowledge of the importance of computer science education in fostering technological advancement of the state and the nation at large.

This study aimed to establish the content, construct and predictive validity evidence of a locally-made college admission and placement test for a private sectarian university. It employed empirical methods for test validation and reliability analysis using a sample of 262 college freshman students. Content-related validity evidence was initially established through the development of Tables of Specifications for the various subtests and experts' review on the alignment of test item content and objectives. Construct-related evidence of validity was established by exploring the internal structure of the test via factor analysis. The procedure yielded two factors and examination of the items comprising the subtests that loaded heavily on each factor suggested that the test measured two distinct but interrelated skills; namely: (1) Language and Literacy Skills and (2) Analytical Reasoning Skills, across three content areas in English, Mathematics and Science. Results from correlating test scores and first year cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of the students yielded a substantial overall predictive validity coefficient of 0.643. Reliability analysis using internal consistency measures yielded a high reliability coefficient Cronbach Alpha value of 0.968. These findings indicated that the proposed college admission test was a good predictor of student's academic performance in the first year of college work, and thus, valid for its intended purpose.

The main principal aim of this paper is to examine the fundamental child rights and quality of education in Nigeria Education which has proved to be greatest investment for economic, social, political and cultural development. Consequently, "The Nigerian 1999 Constitution and the National Policy on Education emphasizes the significance of child rights and the quality of education". In most societies, rules and norms are established to regulate the behaviour of the citizens. These norms and rules are documented to form the mosaic of good behaviour. The paper begins with the concept, background of child right and the right to and access education. Paper also examines challenges, cases of violations of child rights, sample application for leave and enforcement procedure. Finally, strategies for assuring child rights and quality education are examined.

This study investigated the relationship between lecturer literacy and academic goals achievement of Plateau State tertiary institutions. A descriptive survey of correlation type was adopted for the study. Four hypotheses were generated for the study. The instrument tagged "Digital Literacy for Academic Goals Achievement Questionnaire" (DLAGAQ) was used for the data collection and was validated by the expert. Split-half reliability method was used to test the reliability of the instrument. The result was correlated using spearman Ranking Order Statistics at .05 significance level. The reliability index of .62 showed that the instrument was reliable. Two hundred respondents were selected from the six Plateau State-owned tertiary institutions. The respondents include Heads of departments, directors, senior lecturers, selected final years students.The research hypotheses were tested using Pearson product Moment correlation statistics at .05 significance level. The result however showed that all the null hypotheses were rejected. It, therefore, means that low positive significant relationship goals achievement of Plateau State tertiary institutions. It was however recommended that there should be adequate sponsorship for the digital literacy and appreciation conferences both at the global and national level in order to develop lecturers capacity building on digital literacy skills in the interest of enhancing academic goals achievement at the various institutions in Plateau State Nigeria.

This study was designed to investigate secondary school mathematics teachers' classification of concepts along the dimensions of difficulty level. Also, the intent was to study how mathematics teachers' cognitive views and conceptualizations influence their perception of mathematics learning items as either difficult or otherwise. Ninety-five mathematics teachers at the secondary school level were used for this study. The instrument spanned algebra, number and numeration, geometry, trigonometry and statistics. Further, the concepts included in the instrument were extracted from the West African Examinations Council's General Certificate in Education(GCE) O' level syllabus and the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) secondary school mathematics curriculum. The result of the analysis performed on responses of the subjects involved in the study showed poor agreement in the classifications of the mathematics concepts. Agreement was slightly strong on only five items. It seems the mathematics teachers agree that a majority of the items are important but easy to learn and teach.

The study examined the existing guidelines used as quality control measures for enhancing standards in senior secondary education in Edo State. It used the descriptive survey design. The instrument used for the study was a questionnaire, while the population consisted of the 797 public and private senior secondary school Principals and the 198 members of the schools inspectorate team (inspectors) across the state. The purposive sampling technique was used to obtain 198 (25%) school principals and 50 (25%) schools inspectors in the state. The mean score and t-test were employed for analysis of the collected data. Some items which presently formed part of the guidelines were regarded as irrelevant while new items were proposed for inclusion in the guidelines.

The study ascertained the impact of career counselling on job finding amongst graduates in the experimental and control groups. The quasi-experimental design guided the study. Four null hypotheses were formulated. The population of the study comprised all batch B 2012/2013 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Rivers, Enugu, and Osun states with a total number of ten thousand five hundred and seventy three (10,573) (Source: NYSC Statistics 2013). A sample of one thousand (1000) participants was drawn from the population using stratified random sampling technique. A job finding test (JFT) was developed by the researchers and used for data collection. The four hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using independent t-test statistics. The results showed that participants who have experienced career counselling performed better than those that have not in the job finding test. This finding made it obvious that career counselling has significant impact on job finding amongst young graduates in Nigeria. Based on the findings, conclusion was reached, implications were drawn and recommendations were made.

The study examined the factors that influence the supervision of student teachers in teaching practice. The descriptive survey design with three objectives, research questions and corresponding hypothesis guided the study. The research population was made up of 105 teaching practice supervisors of Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, Rivers State during the 2012/2013 teaching practice exercise while the sample was made up of 95 supervisors selected through simple probability sampling technique. Instrument used was Teaching Practice Supervisors Questionnaire (TPSQ). TPSQ was validated by experts and subjected to reliability test which yielded 0.85 using Cronbach's Alpha technique. Data were analyzed using Person Product Moment Correlation technique. Findings revealed a significant influence of class size and school facilities on the supervision of student teachers. The researchers therefore recommended that teaching practice supervisors should consider the level of school facilities and class size in the assessment of student teachers in teaching practice.

The study critically explored non-conventional processes on development and validation of an evaluation instrument entitled: "Culture and Language Sensitive-Curriculum Material Evaluation Tool." This is an evaluation tool intended to assess and evaluate culture and language sensitive curriculum materials in physics and other sciences. The non-traditional processes highlighted the use of empirical data from pilot study to come up with the statements and constructs for the instrument congruent to instructional congruence framework. Averages of ratings of experts of the evaluation instrument were found to be within the highest range of the 5-point Likert scale (4.74 and 4.98). Aiken's content validity coefficient ranged from 0.94 to 0.99. Inter-rater Kappa coefficient was 0.83 rated as excellent agreement of raters while inter-class coefficient was 0.71 (single) and 0.98 (average) rated as very strong (single) and almost perfect agreement (average) respectively. Reliability was established qualitatively and quantitatively. Overall reliability measure was rated excellent using Cronbach's alpha with a coefficient of 0.99. Each of the construct's reliability coefficients was found to be 0.98 rated as excellent.

The argument on the relevance of the present Nigerian educational curriculum content to the needs and aspirations of the Nigerian society has gradually become an acceptable national debate. Teachers, students, parents and all the stakeholders of the educational sector have suddenly discovered the unrealistic nature of the Nigerian educational curriculum and the need to change same. These changes, some believe could be in the areas of selection and organization of the curriculum content, the distribution, development and use of instructional or teaching materials, curriculum implementation and evaluation. While it is very important to consider all these, it is also more pertinent to note that the selection and organization of the curriculum content especially at the primary and secondary schools levels is the bedrock for a sound educational system. It is therefore the concern of this paper to examine the present state of the Nigerian national educational curriculum vis-à-vis the new 9-year Basic Education Curriculum with a view to showcasing its baselessness and suggesting the way out in having a more practical regionalized curriculum as the solution to the problems of Nigeria's curriculum content.

– The study explores on the extent of leader motivating language on job satisfaction of faculty members in terms of direction-giving, empathy and meaning-making language. Descriptive type of research was utilized in the study. Results showed that there is a great extent on how leaders are keeping the faculty members updated with the organization's accomplishments and expressing leaders' support for employee development and recognizing faculty as an individual that makes them feel satisfied at work. The group of faculty members with shorter length of service has significantly higher level of perception regarding the extent of leader motivating language affecting job satisfaction compared to the group with 20 and above years of service. It confirms the theory of Maslow in the Hierarchy of Needs where people can only be satisfied if they are receiving something valuable based on their required capacity and expected level or higher achievement to fulfil their needs.

Performance appraisal plays significant role in lecturers' productivity. There is general opinion that the Nigerian university education is decaying in terms of the quality of its outputs, thus necessitating this study. The present study therefore investigated the relationship between performance appraisal criteria and lecturers' productivity in universities in southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria. Correlational survey method was employed for the study.The population of the study comprised all 4,991 lecturers of the five federal universities in southwest geo-political zone, Nigeria. Proportional sampling technique was used to select 1,360 lecturers from the five federal universities using Krejcie and Morgan (1970) sampling table. The quest for effective management of educational institution in Nigeria required concerted efforts of all stakeholders in education system. Sequel to this, the paper examines the vice-chancellors managerial effectiveness of universities in Edo and Kwara states, Nigeria. The target population comprised all vice-chancellors in eleven Universities in Edo and Kwara states (seven universities in Edo and four in Kwara states). Four universities were selected through a stratified random sampling technique in two states. Proportional sampling technique was used to select 2000 respondents comprising 1000 students and 1000 staff from four universities. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The paper recommends that vice-chancellors should improve on staff motivation and better welfare packages for students and staff in Nigeria Universities.

The study aimed to find out the administrative practices of selected school administrators in the three districts of Aborlan and how these affect the teaching performance of the teachers with the implementation of the K to 12 curriculum.The research design was used in the study. It utilized various statistical tools like frequency, percentage, mean, Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient r, and t-test. Twenty-three public school administrators and 75 teachers from the three districts of Aborlan were taken as participants. The school administrators performed seven administrative practices as school administrators. They were assessed by the teachers and themselves in the performance of these practices to much extent. Meanwhile, the teachers also assessed their own performance in the use of K to 12 curriculum in their teaching and came up with the assessment as some extent only. The school administrators' administrative practices have affected the teacher's performance in the K to 12 curriculum, however on some aspects, the school administrators' administrative practices did not exert influence on the teachers' performance in the K to 12 curriculum. The profile of the teachers have affected their performance in the K to 12 curriculum, however, there are some aspects of the profile that did not affect the performance of the teachers in the K to 12 curriculum. The school administrators and the teachers had different perspectives in their assessments on the performance of the teachers in the K to 12 curriculum.

Provision of Guidance and Counselling in schools has not assumed a desirable position in Nigeria despite the long years of its introduction. This study therefore investigated the perception of the stakeholders in education about the effectiveness of guidance and counselling services in secondary schools in Ekiti state Nigeria in order to ascertain the challenges facing it. The study adopted descriptive survey design with a sample of 585 education stakeholders (400 students, 100 teachers and 85 parents) selected from 10 schools in the state. Data through the use of questionnaire titled Perception of Stakeholders on Counselling Effectiveness (PSCE), were analyzed. The results indicated that all the stakeholders perceived counselling services to be adequate (students,90%; teachers, 93%, parents, 76.5 %,) and also effective (students, 89.5%; teachers, 90% and parents, 84.7%). However some challenges were identified. The study therefore concluded that though delivery of guidance and counselling services in schools in Ekiti State face some challenges yet the education stakeholders perceived it to be very effective.

This paper focused on an ideal special education teacher in Nigeria. Concept of an ideal special education teacher was discussed. The works and roles of an ideal special education teacher were examined. Different types of disabilities that qualify an individual with special needs for special education programme were spelt out. Similarly, qualities of an ideal special education teacher were discussed. Also activities and skills expected of an ideal special education teacher were examined. The characteristics required of a special education teacher to help persons with special needs maximise their potentials were also stated. Consequently, fruitful and useful recommendations that will aid special education teachers work with persons with special needs successfully were also discussed.

This study examines the role of principals' supervision on the relationship between students' personnel services and academic achievement in secondary schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. The aim of this study is to explain the research model, research hypotheses and the results of the preliminary findings on the nexus between student personnel services and academic achievement. To know the initial findings of the study, the authors conduct a pilot study to (or " intending to ") know whether it will be suitable for the main study or not. Two sources of data (i.e., primary and secondary) are used for the study. Questionnaires are distributed to 50 students in one of the secondary schools in Kwara State that is chosen for the study. Also, students' results are obtained from the school to determine their academic achievement in school. Two softwares namely, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) are used to assess the measurement model of the study. Individual items' reliability of the constructs and discriminant validity are assessed. In conclusion, the preliminary results indicate that the instrument used for the study is valid and reliable; thus, the findings of the paper demonstrates the potency for conducting the comprehensive study on the impact of principals' supervision on the nexus between student personnel services and academic achievement in secondary schools.

The study aims to determine the correlation between the level of laboratory performance in the professional courses and the level of internship performance in different affiliated hospitals/centers of the physical therapy students. Descriptive-correlational type of research method was utilized in the study. Findings revealed that the laboratory performance of the Physical Therapy students was found significant with positive correlation in the internship performance. Students who perform well inside the classroom have also the possibility to perform better in the clinical education. Students' clinical performance improves as training experience increases. The skills acquired in the classroom were highly utilized in different affiliated hospitals/centers were they are deployed.
