Praca dotyczy wątków feministyczych w religii śaktyzmu. W tej religii, która jest odmianą hinduizmu, najwyższym bóstwem jest Bogini (Śakti). Jest to ewenement, gdyż w innych religiach najczęściej najwyższe bóstwo jest płci męskiej. Ponadto, w religiach takich jak judaizm, chrześcijaństwo i islam, nie ma w ogóle bogiń. Boginie były obecne w starożytnych religiach Greków, Słowian czy Celtów, ale nie znajdowały się one w centrum kultu. Na terenie Europy, boginie zostały wyeliminowane wraz z nadejściem chrześcijaństwa. Współczesne zachodnie feministki i tealożki (Mary Daly, Carol P. Christ) podkreślały, iż brak bogiń jest symbolicznym przypieczętowaniem dominacji męskiej i wykluczenia kobiet ze sfery władzy. W związku z powyższym, śaktyzm stał się obiektem zainteresowania współczesnej myśli feministycznej. Warto także wspomnieć, iż inne odmiany hinduizmu również czczą boginie, natomiast nie pełnią one roli najwyższego bóstwa.

In Poland, homeopathic practitioners don't have an easy life. Among their medical colleagues, they are accused of using a method that is, at best, a placebo and unscientific. On the other hand, they are accused by believers of using magical means that threaten not only the health of patients but also induce possession or facilitate Satan's attacks on them and, of course, on themselves.

Evidence that the first accusation is false is that meta-analyses have shown that the effect of homeopathic remedies is greater than placebo, meaning that they are effective. The second accusation can also be refuted – the medical literature has not found a statistically significant link between the use of homeopathic remedies and mental disorders in patients as a result of these medications. Historically, many popes permitted the use of homeopathic remedies in the 19th and 20th centuries and even supported it.
Contemporary research into the mechanisms of action of homeopathic preparations, using quantum physics and bioelectronics, enables us to discover how these preparations work at the submolecular level. The quantum level of life is where the effects of homeopathic preparations are observable and measurable, and their impact on the molecular level in living organisms can also be described, for example, through their influence on enzyme function.

Sea urchins (Echinoidea) are one type of aquatic biota from the phylum Echinodermata, the distribution of sea urchins can be observed in almost all waters. Sea urchins have a habit of living (gathering) in groups or clusters, and this species is often caught in shallow reef areas at low tide. This research aims to explore the benefits of sea urchins as natural medicinal ingredients, focusing on their interactions and safety. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the review of the quantitative description method, researchers used several trusted article sources, namely PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Based on the results of the research, it was found that sea urchins contain bioactive compounds of steroids, saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, and spinochromes. With this, sea urchin shows significant potential as a candidate natural medicinal material, especially in the fields of anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and immunomodulation. The relatively favorable safety profile, as demonstrated by acute and subchronic toxicity studies, supports further development of this extract as a natural medicinal ingredient.

Glucan preparations, primarily modifi ed water-soluble glucans, are involved in the activation of the body’s natural defense mechanisms and in the acceleration of the skin’s wound-healing processes. Pleuran, an insoluble β-D-glucan in hydrogel form, offers a natural alternative to more common chemically derivated soluble β-D-glucans. Pleuran was applied to human keratinocyte primary cultures, and after 24 h of incubation the release of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) and metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) by stimulated keratinocytes was detected using gelatine zymography. There was a concentration-dependent increase in pro-MMP-9 release after treatment with pleuran over the concentration range of 2 to 200 μg/ml, but pro-MMP-2 was detected at a constant level. —Background:The heart, regarded in Ayurveda as a vital organ responsible for the circulation of Rasa (nutrient essence), requires careful preservation to prevent dysfunction. Ayurveda emphasizes stress reduction and a heart-supportive diet as central to maintaining cardiovascular health. This paper explores the Ayurvedic perspective on heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Low ejection fraction (EF), defined as EF below 55%, signifies impaired cardiac efficiency. Heart failure is a leading contributor to premature mortality due to cardiac dysfunction. According to Ayurveda principles, heart dysfunction primarily stems from impaired Rasadhatvagni (digestive/metabolic function of the Rasa Dhatu), leading to the formation of poor-quality Rasa Dhatu, which, when accumulated, adversely affects cardiac function. Case Presentation:This case report presents a 47-yearold male diagnosed with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (LVEF 23%), attributed to defective Rasa Dhatu formation. The patient was treated with a shaman chikitsa aimed at improving both systolic and diastolic cardiac function. These formulations were selected based on their Hridya (cardiotonic), Rasayana (rejuvenative), and Agni-deepana (digestive fireenhancing) properties. Results:The patient showed marked clinical and echocardiographic improvement. The LVEF improved from 23% to 35%, along with normalization of pulmonary artery pressure, improved right ventricular function, and reduction in pericardial effusion. The findings suggest that correction of Rasa Dhatu quality through Ayurvedic interventions contributed to the improvement in cardiac function. Conclusion:This case highlights the potential of Ayurvedic interventions specifically targeted shaman chikitsa in improving cardiac function in patients with low ejection fraction. Ayurveda offers a scientifically grounded and holistic approach that can be used either as a standalone therapy or as an adjunct to conventional cardiology practices.

Se considera que las plantas mencionadas en la investigación son nativas de la amazonia ecuatoriana, que siguen siendo utilizadas por las etnias indígenas del sector. Con la investigación se pretende socializar dichos conocimientos con el personal militar que se entrena en la Escuela de Iwias, acantonada en la provincia de Pastaza, cantón Mera, Parroquia Shell, con una proyección continua de investigación para la creación del jardín botánico y la Escuela de Formación de Soldados del Ejército Ecuatoriano “Vencedores del Cenepa”, quienes realizan su formación de la fase de selva en la EIWIAS.

While the canonical function of DNA lies in storing genetic information through base pair sequences, a growing body of interdisciplinary research suggests that DNA may also encode or respond to scalar information, a form of nonlocal, field-based data organization. Ethnobotanical studies have reported the traditional medicinal uses of Acacia senegal (L.) Willd. and Argania spinosa (L.) Skeels against kidney stone formation and other chronic kidney diseases. Esta presentación ofrece una síntesis clínica y epistemológica sobre la interpretación de los síntomas mamarios desde el marco de las 5 Leyes Biológicas (5LB), descubiertas por el Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer (1935–2017). Se exponen los fundamentos del diagnóstico diferencial hameriano de mama, anclados en la Tercera Ley Biológica como referencia epistemológica central, ya que esta permite distinguir el patrón de respuesta de los tejidos controlados por el paleoencéfalo y el neoencéfalo en cada fase del programa biológico. Con base en esta brújula diagnóstica, se establece una diferenciación precisa entre los programas que afectan la glándula mamaria (controlada por el cerebelo, mesodermo nuevo) y aquellos que comprometen los conductos galactóforos (controlados por la corteza sensorial, ectodermo con sensibilidad parasimpática). La presentación incluye aportes clínicos derivados de una década de experiencia del autor en el acompañamiento de mujeres diagnosticadas con cáncer de mama, junto al análisis de casos reales y la formulación de ocho conclusiones y recomendaciones clave. Se subraya también la importancia de la regla de la lateralidad biológica como herramienta diagnóstica, ya que permite identificar el tipo de vínculo afectivo implicado en cada manifestación fisiológica o histológica. Este enfoque contribuye a una comprensión más profunda del sentido biológico de los síntomas y a una toma de decisiones terapéuticas más coherente, contextualizada y humanizada.

La medicina natural, o naturismo, es un método curativo que utiliza múltiples medios naturales para permitir que el individuo adquiera un nivel máximo de salud. El sistema naturalista para curar enfermedades se basa en el uso de los recursos del medio ambiente para regular la dieta, la respiración, el ejercicio y los baños, y además saber emplear las fuerzas que eliminan todos los productos nocivos que se acumulan en el organismo, de manera que sea recuperada la vitalidad y se alcance un nivel de salud adecuado. A través de este trabajo se puede constatar que a medida que el hombre ha ido evolucionando, se han desarrollado las diferentes ramas de la medicina natural y tradicional.

The study was conducted during January 2015 to December 2015. The distribution and abundance of these indigenous medicinal plants were recorded through consultation of the villagers and local traditional healers of Phom tribe of Longleng District. In the present study, a total of 71 medicinal plants were documented and further the scientific names, common names, local names, family, habitat and medicinal uses were given. The indigenous medicinal plants documented were found in warm and cold regions of the district respectively.

Apium graveolens (A. graveolens), often referred to as celery, is a widely consumed vegetable with a long history of use in traditional medicine. It offers numerous health advantages, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antihypertensive properties. Celery is used in both traditional medicine and modern pharmacology for its therapeutic effects. This review is justified to consolidate recent research on its medicinal properties. Emphasizing its therapeutic potential can steer future research and practical applications in pharmaceuticals, enhancing comprehension of its health benefits and encouraging its use in various treatments. Phytochemical studies have discovered numerous bioactive compounds in A. graveolens, such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, coumarins, and essential oils, all of which play a role in its extensive pharmacological effects. Studies have demonstrated that A. graveolens exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antihypertensive, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, and other pharmacological effects. The presence of compounds such as apigenin, luteolin, and phthalides plays a pivotal role in these therapeutic effects by modulating various biological pathways, including oxidative stress, inflammatory cascades, and lipid metabolism. These compounds also exhibit diuretic effects, promoting urine production and aiding in toxin removal, thereby alleviating stress on the kidneys. The clinical evidence supporting the efficacy of A. graveolens in humans is still limited; its abundant phytochemical profile and new preclinical findings indicate its promise as an adjunctive therapeutic agent. This review provides a scientific basis for the continued exploration and use of A. graveolens in modern medicine, highlighting its role in promoting its pharmacological aspects through its diverse bioactive components.

Blessed with the therapies and remedies of modern science, informed by cross-cultural approaches to healing, and endowed with a unique and expansive human consciousness, we stand on the threshold of a new medicine, one that transcends our previous preoccupation with survival and longevity and beckons us to live our greatest potential. This is a noble challenge, one that we have been well prepared for. In Western culture the rituals of healing are learned early in life.

The AYUSH sector, encompassing Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, ayush certificate cost Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy, has long held a revered place in India's traditional healthcare system. With increasing global and domestic demand for natural and holistic treatments, the credibility, quality, and safety of AYUSH products have become matters of national importance. Recognizing the need to ensure public confidence in these products, the Government of India, through the Department of AYUSH, has taken notable steps to introduce regulatory mechanisms that align traditional medicine with modern quality standards. AYUSH products are currently regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, with enforcement carried out by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) through respective State Governments. This legal framework provides the foundation for ensuring that AYUSH drugs are manufactured, labeled, and sold in accordance with prescribed norms. However, due to the unique nature of these traditional formulations, conventional drug regulation faces challenges in standardizing quality, efficacy, and safety across all product categories.

Las Medicinas Tradicionales y Complementarias (MTC) coadyuvan a la universalización del derecho a  la salud, pues otorgan el servicio en aquellas zonas donde la medicina convencional es incapaz de  cubrir las necesidades de la población.  Aquí se pone de manifiesto el ataque pernicioso del lobby farmacéutico contra la homeopatía, tanto en México como en el ámbito internacional. Se presenta un episodio de descalificación sobre la base de estudios y resultados manipulados en Australia, que casi llevan a la prohibición de la práctica homeopática en España, Reino Unido, Canadá y Estados Unidos .

Palita (Akala), makes young people look older, causing distress and social embarrassment. It is considered as Kapala roga under Urdvajathrugada Vyadhi. Ashtanga Hridaya 4 states that excess body heat can rise to head, vitiates the Vatadi dosha, thus influencing the romakoopas, leading to pachana of hair. This process causes premature greying. Therefore, maintaining balance of dosha is essential for preserving hair colour and preventing Palita. In Chakradatta5, Selu Taila (Cordia dichotoma Forst.f) is indicated for Palita and is used as Nasya as a remedy to such disturbing disease. Selu taila was collected and was given as Pratimarsa Nasya with a dose of 2 Bindu in the evening to 30 patients.

The specific aim of this study was to evaluate for the first time the phytochemical constituents, functional group assignment, and antibacterial activities of the Philippine green-leafed Acalypha amentacea Roxb. (Maslakot-Ambulong), a wildcrafted medicinal plant of local traditional healers in the southern most region of Mindoro province. Methodology and results: Aqueous leaf extracts of A. amentacea Roxb. were lyophilized and subjected to qualitative phytochemical screening and FT-IR analysis. The antibacterial activity of the plant using agar-well diffusion assay revealed highest Zone of Inhibition (ZOI) in 500 mg/mL concentration for Staphylococcus aureus (21.78 mm), Escherichia coli, (21.36 mm), Serratia marcescens (21.90 mm), Klebsiella pneumoniae (21.44 mm), and Enterococcus faecalis (20.52 mm) among other concentrations suggesting a dose dependent bioactivity. Also, compared to the antibiotic Rifampicin, A. amentacea Roxb. demonstrated better bioactivity against all the selected bacteria except S. aureus (p<0.05) and comparable to Ofloxacin when against E. faecalis. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the extract was found to be at 15.6 mg/mL for all the bacteria except for S. marcescens with 31.25 mg/mL as MIC. The bioactivity of the plant may be accounted to the presence of alkaloid, phenol, flavonoid, tannin, and saponin which were supported by its functional groups like carboxylic acid, alcohols, amine, conjugated alkene, aromatic esters, and alkyl aryl ether. The results of this investigation, proved that A. amentacea Roxb. has bioactive antibacterial principles against the selected microorganisms. This also confirms its potentiality as a new source of antibacterial agents.

Plusieurs académiques aborigènes étudiant les Autochtones voient l’anthropologie comme un outil d’enquête efficace comportant de nombreuses techniques de recherche. Il y a, par contre, plusieurs aspects de l’anthropologie et de la science occidentale qui sont incompatibles avec le combat incessant pour la décolonisation, la réaffirmation et la néo-construction de l’identité, de la philosophie et de la politique du plan holistique pan Aborigène.
L’anthropologie aborigène est encore au stade émergent. Les études sur les Premières Nations sont en plein développement et cette nouvelle sphère de l’anthropologie est principalement basée sur les études des académiques autochtones. Plusieurs Aborigènes, qu’ils soient des académiques ou non, voient en cette facette de l’anthropologie un outil de promotion des valeurs autochtones. Ces mêmes académiques sont, pour le moment, très attirés par les idées entourant les connaissances aborigènes. Elles leur donnent en effet un certain pouvoir et l’obligation de créer les conditions pour continuer le combat de la décolonisation.

Anthropology has many techniques and investigative tools that hold attractive qualities for Indigenous scholars in their Aboriginal research. There are, however, many philosophical traits within Western science and anthropology that are incompatible with the ongoing political struggle for decolonization, reaffirmation and neo- construction of a holistic pan-Aboriginal identity, philosophy and political body.

Indigenous anthropology is still an emerging field. It is based principally on the work of notable Aboriginal scholars in area of Native Studies. It promotes long held views of numerous Aboriginals from both within and out of academia. Aboriginal scholars are, for the moment, very attracted to ideas of Indigenous Knowledge and empowerment which are being used to help create conditions of decolonization. Indigenous scholars also have a primary duty to enable the agency of Indigenous populations in this ongoing struggle for decolonization.

In Bangladesh, most of the population use soybean as the dietary oil and a few may still consume mustard oil. The association of these two varieties and their marketing practices as well as their consumption related factors with pregnancy outcome have not much studied. Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDPs) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) usually develop by this time. Semiurban population specific data at this critical stage are not yet available among Bangladeshi ethnic groups. This quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 193 pregnant women and the study area was the indoor of the Hamdard General Hospital, Munshiganj, Bangladesh. Demographic characteristics, anthropometric values, and dietary intake data were collected from clinical records by researcher. Standard food intake was gathered through a validated Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), and dietary patterns were obtained by principal component analysis. Nutritional competency was defined according to European dietary intake recommendations for pregnant women. In this research researchers found that there is positive association of dietary oil with weight gain and blood pressure among semiurban Bangladeshi pregnant women. Among the 193 participants, 96 respondents consume less than 29.1 ml of dietary oil per day and remain 97 respondents consume more than 29.1 ml of dietary oil per day. The individual, who consume less than 29.1 ml oil per day the average blood pressure was 118 /87 mmHg and weight difference from first trimester to second trimester was 1.26 kg on the other hand who consume more than 29.1 ml oil per day, the average blood pressure was 119/89 mmHg and weight difference from first trimester to second trimester is 1.42 kg. So, there is association of dietary oil with blood pressure and weight gain. Women who followed dietary patterns rich in ω-6 fatty acids and saturated fatty acids were more likely to experience weight gain during pregnancy than those who adhered to these patterns to a lesser extent.

Sometimes prayers and magical rituals were necessary for a patient to get well; often, only a herbal mixture was needed. Mesopotamian magical and medical texts describe many kinds of diseases: somatic, mental, and others. Among these are: fever, headaches, leprosy, epilepsy, blindness, impotency, paralysis. This article is an effort to analyse Mesopotamian prescriptions, incantations, and medical interventions and to answer questions about the health of ancient mankind.

Demand of ayurvedic products in the medical industry inspires the researcher to identifying the key variables affecting buyer purchasing behaviour. This research report aims to examine consumer purchasing patterns for hair oil products in relation to herbal hair oil. The locations of this study is Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, and J&K. Both primary and secondary data is curated. Secondary data is gathered from magazines, books, and journals. In addition a standardized questionnaire is opted for collection of primary data. Respondent opinions are gathered using Likert five-point scales. 346 respondents from a varied range of age groups made up the entire sample for this study. The convenient sampling approach is employed in this study. The limitation of accuracy of the data retrieved and error of biased subjective result is the only constraint of the study. For data analysis, SPSS 25.0 software is employed. Consumers now have more disposable income and purchasing power, which has led to this industry's rapid expansion. The results could be used into future cosmetics marketing plans. This study indicates towards the consumer preference for hair oils with respect to demographic factors and shows that it has a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. Uji Stabilitas Fisik-Kimia Sediaan Spray Gel Etil p-metoksisinamat dari Rimpang Kencur (Kaempferia galanga Linn.) dan Menthol Komponen terbesar yang terkandung dalam rimpang kencur (Kaempferia galanga Linn) adalah etil p-metoksisinamat (EPMS) yaitu sebesar 80,05%. EPMS dari rimpang kencur mempunyai aktivitas antiinflamasi yang signifikan dengan beberapa mekanisme yaitu menghambat edema tikus yang diinduksi karagenan dan menghambat produksi IL-6 (Umar, dkk., 2012; Aroonrerk, dkk., 2009). Pada penelitian ini EPMS diformulasi menjadi bentuk sediaan spray gel dengan variasi konsentrasi bahan pembentuk gel Na CMC yaitu F1 (0,5%), F2 (1,0%), dan F3 (1,5%). Dilakukan evaluasi stabilitas fisik pada penyimpanan suhu ruang selama 21 hari, yaitu hari ke-0, 7, 14, dan 21. Sediaan spray gel dievaluasi fisik meliputi organoleptik, homogenitas, viskositas, pH, pola semprot, daya sebar lekat, uji sentrifugasi, dan cycling test. Evaluasi stabilitas kimia dilakukan menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis dengan melihat kadar EPMS dalam sediaan. Hasil evaluasi fisik menunjukkan semua formula stabil dari segi organoleptik, homogenitas, pH berada pada kisaran 6,6-7,1, bobot per semprot seragam serta relatif stabil pada pengujian sentrifugasi dan cycling test. Viskositas pada formula 1,2 dan 3 berturut-turut sebesar 347,14, 1.868 dan 10.866 dimana formula 2 masih memenuhi kisaran viskositas untuk sediaan gel semprot, dengan pola semprot menyebar. Sedangkan formula 1 dan 3, viskositas tidak memenuhi syarat. Hasil evaluasi stabilitas kimia menunjukkan kadar EPMS dalam sediaan formula 1, 2, dan 3 terdapat perubahan kadar pada hari ke-21 yang terjadi pada semua formula. Formula 2 menunjukkan stabilitas yang baik dibandingkan formula 1 dan 3.

Special emphasis is placed on how prolonged exposure can contribute to adverse health effects, including thermal damage, neurological impact, and potential interference with medical devices. This review also explores the cumulative and individual risks of RF exposure and emphasizes the importance of regulatory standards and guidelines to minimize potential health hazards. By analyzing each RF band comprehensively, this paper aims to support informed decisions and safer practices in the use of RF technologies in both occupational and everyday environments.

Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L., Urticaceae) is a ubiquitous herb grown in large part of the world mainly in temperate and tropical wasteland areas used as medicinal herb, fabric dye, textiles, food. The present study aims for investigation of Urtica dioica (nettle leaf) on the basis of morpho-anatomical and histochemical characterization on samples collected from Uttarakhand. The collected plant samples showed marked variation in morphological characters. The ridges and furrows were more prominent in sample A as compare to sample B and C. Medullary rays in sample B and C were more distinct and consist of about 23-30 rows of cells as compare with sample A. Raphid shaped calcium oxalate crystals were observed in all the samples. These studies revealed that present studies were significant for the characterization and identification of plants and altitudinal effects on distribution of phyto-constituents on various plant parts.

Context: The snail hemolymph is a multi-component mixture comprising various substances with pharmacological activity. Aims: To evaluate the antioxidant activity of hemocyanin and fractions isolated of hemolymph from garden snail Helix lucorum. Methods: The antioxidant activity was tested in chemical systems generating superoxide radicals (O2 •-) and hydroxyl radicals (• OH) and was presented as percent inhibition. The fractions' composition was analyzed by MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometry. Results: At concentration of 90 µg/mL the hemolymph fraction with compounds with molecular weight (MW) <100kDa demonstrated the strongest O2 •-scavenger effect (82%), followed by the hemocyanin (58%), and hemolymph fraction with compounds with MW<1kDa (15%). The most powerful • OH scavenger effect at concentration of 90 µg/mL showed hemocyanin (43%) followed by MW<100kDa fraction (26%). No • OH scavenger effect was observed by the MW<1kDa fraction. The highest chelation properties (55%) were demonstrated by the MW<100kDa fraction at concentration of 130 µg/mL; both the hemocyanin and MW<1kDa hemolymph fraction showed 33% inhibitory effect at the same concentration. The analysis of the composition of the tested fractions revealed high content of hydrophobic surfaces in MW<1kDa fraction and presence of antioxidant enzymes-catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase in MW<100kDa fraction that contribute to the overall antioxidant effect of H. lucorum hemolymph. Conclusions: The complex antioxidant effect of hemolymph from H. lucorum is thought to be related to the presence of low molecular weight peptides in the MW<1 kDa fraction including glutathione and mainly to the antioxidant enzymes in the MW<100 kDa fraction. Conclusiones: Los datos sugieren que el efecto antioxidante complejo de la hemolinfa de H. lucorum está relacionado con la presencia de péptidos de bajo peso molecular en la fracción de M<1 kDa que incluye glutatión y principalmente con la presencia de enzimas antioxidantes en el M<100 kDa fracción.

Métodos: Se realizó un estudio donde el universo estuvo constituido por todos los diagnósticos de personas de nacionalidad cubana infectadas por el VIH desde 1986 hasta 2007.
