Here's a closer look at how this principle applies to universities in Pakistan and around the world.

"The Multifaceted Perspectives of Future Business Continuity-aftermath of COVID-19" explores the diverse and complex dimensions of business continuity in the post-pandemic era. This study examines the various challenges and opportunities faced by organizations as they navigate the aftermath of COVID-19 and adapt to the new normal. It examines the multifaceted perspectives that encompass economic, technological, social, environmental, and organizational aspects, shedding light on the potential strategies and innovative solutions that can enhance resilience and ensure sustainable business continuity. The findings highlight the critical importance of agility, digital transformation, stakeholder collaboration, risk management, and adaptive leadership in shaping the future of business continuity. The study uses mixed methodology to capture the expert opinion and the stakeholder's views on this topic.

This research investigates the role of local UAE public and private sector companies in the development of academic institutions. With the UAE's focus on a knowledge-based economy and innovation, collaboration between academia and industry is crucial for economic growth and workforce development. Using a quantitative survey, the study examines current industrial involvement in UAE academic development, including partnerships and initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry. The findings offer valuable insights for policy makers, educators, and industry leaders, highlighting key drivers, challenges, and best practices to enhance and establish effective collaborations, ultimately driving socioeconomic development and innovation in the UAE. The study used the quantitative methodology to test the hypotheses and to establish the conceptual model using the Integrated Multilevel theory and Technology Enhancement theory by designing the questionnaire to reflect the relationships between the constructs outlined in the conceptual model and emailed to 1080 respondents, including professionals, academics, students, and parents in the UAE.

In 2016, Northeastern Archaeological Associates Limited  carried out an achaeological assessment to facilitate building a new foundation for the 19th century Needler's Mill on Baxter Creek, in the village of Millbrook, Ontario. Stage 1 research indicated that the property is of high potential for deeply buried archaeological resources due to its proximity to areas of historic development, existing watercourses, historic transportation corridors, and registered archaeological sites. In consultation with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, a strategy for investigating the area by trench excavation was undertaken. The development lands consist of a small (0.02ha) rectangular impact zone where footings for the new mill foundation will be excavated. The study area is adjacent to Needlers Lane, a short distance from the original mill location at the outflow of the mill pond on Baxters Creek. The subject property was assessed using hand excavation of test trenches followed by machine removal of disturbed fill in accordance with MTCS 2011 Standards.  This survey resulted in the discovery of a variety of historic material in a disturbed context, as well as a portion of wooden beam in its original location near the top of the water table. This wood beam was uncovered and recorded. Given this result it is the recommendation of Northeastern Archaeological Associates Limited that no further archaeological work be required on the assessed area.

El artículo hace foco en el paisaje del viñedo del área periurbana del Gran Mendoza que se ve amenazado por el avance de la urbanización con la pérdida de fincas con vides y olivares de fines del siglo XIX y principios del XX. La preservación de este paisaje es prioritaria no solo por su valor económico-productivo sino por sus valores ambientales, identitarios y culturales. Sin embargo, desaparece, es invisible tanto para los que lo viven, como para los que deberían protegerlo y gestionarlo desde la esfera pública. El trabajo propone su análisis a través de la Carta del Paisaje de las Américas (CPA) mediante los estratos, que, según este documento, componen al paisaje americano. Los resultados muestran las posibilidades de esta Carta como instrumento operativo tanto para identificar los componentes, sus relaciones e interdependencias, así como también revelar su "carácter", valores, potencialidades y los conflictos subyacentes. Los mismos resultan orientadores para la gestión y el diseño de catálogos que aseguren su protección.

“Temas del territorio y la cultura arquitectónica y urbana”
es una publicación del Instituto de Cultura Arquitectónica y
Urbana, pensada para celebrar el 60º aniversario de la Universidad
de Mendoza en 2020; este año, signado por la pandemia en el
mundo, planteó en el ámbito académico el enorme desafío de
adecuar todas las actividades a la virtualidad. No obstante, gracias
a la voluntad y esfuerzo colectivo de los miembros del ICAU y al
apoyo de las autoridades de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo
y Diseño (FAUD) y de la Universidad, esta publicación en formato
virtual, se hace realidad.
Reúne 12 artículos que abordan temas y reflexiones relacionadas
a las principales líneas de investigación del Instituto. Algunos
derivan de proyectos desarrollados en el marco del Programa de
Promoción de la Investigación de la FAUD y de la Dirección de
Investigaciones de la UM -DIUM-; otros, se vinculan a marcos
interinstitucionales; mientras que están aquellos que provienen
de indagaciones e inquietudes personales; pero todos ofrecen
una mirada enraizada en nuestro quehacer y en nuestra
experiencia de investigación que se remonta a los inicios del

The cultural characteristics of Europe are very much shaped by its geography. This may seem as a paradox, since there is no consensus about where Europe ends or begins. Perhaps Europe is best understood as a specific constellation of ideas and processes with a certain geographical centre of gravity.

In Turkey, the Eskişehir railway buildings, constructed between 1886 and 1894, are at the west of the main railroad between the Enveriye and Eskişehir stations. They are also public places having strong resonance in the collective memory. Because of the fast development in technology, they face the threat of losing their function. Conservation of former industrial structures requires, first and foremost, identifying and documenting the distinctive features that makes them cultural heritage sites. It is a shared responsibility between public institutions and sectors to identify and protect the distinguishing features of industrial heritage sites. With this awareness, at the Anadolu University Architecture Department, integrated student work focused on the Railroad Roundhouse-built in 1896-and Staff Housing Quarters-built in the early 20th century-which are part of this district and embody a series of urban problems, was carried out over four academic semesters. This study focuses on historic railway buildings in the Eskişehir railway district that is known for its urban problems. An exhibition combining these student works was opened at the Railcar Repair Facility on 16 November 2017. This exhibition showcased the student involvement in history of Eskişehir and increased public awareness of cultural heritage.

This paper updates and upgrades the author’s previous systematic research on lime heritage issues, focusing on the fact that relevant feasibility case studies of integrated conservation are currently at a crucial crossroad. In this frame, the author claims that technological values may potentially become the key values for regional viable development by prioritizing production preservation vs. unripe industrial monuments’ re-uses. Hence, our support to successful lime manufacture know-how is imperative, for reasons of authenticity, sustainability and products quality. It is also a prerequisite, in order to compensate the standardisation push that gradually tends to reduce heterogeneity of limes and to transform small scale production into a large scale one, in the move from local towards global markets. Bearing in mind the difficulty of finding scientific proof by doing an empirical investigation in an international level, an inventory of the functioning traditional lime units is proposed, based on a tested questionnaire. The aim should be the establishment of a cooperation network that will develop challenging alternative strategies, in order to specify local raw materials, craftsmanship, techniques and know-how strategies in lime production and gradually define them as competitive in construction, on the grounds of sustainable development. The comprehensive documentation of the former and our combined efforts - in terms of interdisciplinary perspective and international cooperation network - not only leads to integrated ways of conserving world’s patrimony but also launches industrial heritage’s sustainable dimension.

Industrijsko naslijeđe smatra se graditeljskim ostacima prošlosti koji su podsjetnici dostignuća određenog društva koje bi trebalo sačuvati i popularizirati za budućnost. Postavlja se pitanje, da li grad Sarajevo ima spomenike tehničke kulture koji bi trebali ostati u naslijeđe budućim generacijama? Ovim radom se pokušava naći odgovor  na primjeru jedinstvenog radioničkog kompleksa „VMC“ – Željezničke radionice, koja je i ujedno jedina tvornica takve vrste u BiH, realizovana krajem 19. vij., te svjedoči o najintenzivnijem periodu industrijalizacije, čiji su ostaci sačuvani i do danas.
Rad predstavlja rezultate istraživanja provedenih na radioničkom kompleksu  „VMC“, kao što su istorijske činjenice vezane za njegov razvoj, izgradnju, proizvodnu djelatnost, te socijalno – politički značaj Radionice. Također, su predstavljene građevinsko – arhitektonske karakteristike samog kompleksa sa kraja 19. i početka 20. vij., i njegovo današnje stanje posmatrano od strane gradskih planera kao potencijalni prostor za budući razvoj opštine i šireg područja grada. Danas je uređenje ovog, relativno velikog, prostora grada pasivno prepušteno novim vlasnicima, ravnodušnim prema gradu i njegovim javnim interesima. Na osnovu izvršene analize sličnih studija u regionu, predložene su smjernice kako bi se precizno definirao tip i oblik intervencija, te mjere zaštite u pogledu cjelokupnog kompleksa, njegovog odnosa na okolinu, i naravno svih pojedinačnih struktura i objekata koje treba sačuvati.
