Extraterrestrial Impact

The extraterrestrial representation has been influenced not only by the Unidentified Flying Object phenomena but also global crisis such as The Great Depression since the thirties. A similar trend is observedfrom the depiction of aliens as superheroes, to aliens as mysterious and fearsome creatures, and then human-alien romantic relationshipsin the United States of America and Japan throughout the years. This research analyses the historical events that had impacted on the crafting of extraterrestrials' image in the two countries, the extent to which their media products had affected each other from the 1930s to recent years. The paper also examines the significance of some ten dramas that based on the researcher's evaluation can best represent the decades they were released. Science fiction romance dramas in the United States of America emerged as a result of science fiction's diversification, which contributed to the production of dramas that can better gratify the curiosity of the society. In Japan, it was the diversification of the romance genre that had contributed to the development of science fiction romance dramas. The subgenre aims at satisfying the emotional needs of the society that struggled to recover from various socio-economic issues in the country.

The controversial Younger Dryas impact hypothesis suggests that at the onset of the Younger Dryas an extraterrestrial impact over North America caused a global catastrophe. The main evidence for this impact-after the other markers proved to be neither reproducible nor consistent with an impact-is the alleged occurrence of several nanodiamond polymorphs, including the proposed presence of lonsdaleite, a shock polymorph of diamond. We examined the Usselo soil horizon at Geldrop-Aalsterhut (The Netherlands), which formed during the Allerød/Early Younger Dryas and would have captured such impact material. Our accelerator mass spectrometry radiocarbon dates of 14 individual charcoal particles are internally consistent and show that wildfires occurred well after the proposed impact. In addition we present evidence for the occurrence of cubic diamond in glass-like carbon. No lonsdaleite was found. The relation of the cubic nanodiamonds to glass-like carbon, which is produced during wildfires, suggests that these nanodiamonds might have formed after, rather than at the onset of, the Younger Dryas. Our analysis thus provides no support for the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis.

This work examines a question of a true place of Moon in the whole Universe. Meanwhile the contemporary atheistic per se science considers it as a lifeless Earth adjunct it is actually an axis of the Universe and the throne of God. Being thought as a corpse the Moon is the Life itself.

The discovery of elevated concentrations of the cosmogenic radionuclide 3 He in deep-sea sediments from Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Site 926 (Atlantic Ocean) and ODP Site 757 (Indian Ocean) points toward accretion of extraterrestrial matter, probably as a result of the catastrophic disruption of a large asteroid that produced the Veritas family of asteroids at ca. 8.3 ± 0.5 Ma, and which may have had important effects on the global climatic and ecologic systems. Here, we investigated the signatures possibly related to the Veritas event by performing a high-resolution multiproxy stratigraphic analysis through the late Tortonian-early Messinian Monte dei Corvi section near Ancona, Italy. Closely spaced bulk-rock samples through a 36-m-thick section, approximately spanning from ca. 9.9 Ma to ca. 6.4 Ma, show an ~5-fold 3 He anomaly starting at ca. 8.5 Ma and returning to background values at ca. 6.9 Ma, confirming the global nature of the event. We then analyzed, at 5 cm intervals, bulk-rock samples for sedimentary and environmental proxies such as magnetic susceptibility, calcium carbonate content, total organic carbon, and bulk carbonate d 18 O and d 13 C, through a 21-m-thick section encompassing the 3 He anomaly. Available high-resolution sea-surface temperature data (via alkenone analyses) for this site show a temperature GSA decrease starting exactly at the inception of the 3 He anomaly. Cyclostratigraphic fast-Fourier-transform spectral analyses of the proxies indicate an age of 8.47 ± 0.05 Ma for the inception of the 3 He anomaly. A search for impact ejecta (analogous to what is present in the late Eocene, where both a 3 He anomaly and large-scale impact events are recorded) was not successful. Detailed cy-clostratigraphic analyses of our data suggest that the changes in the stable isotope series and environmental proxy series through this late Tortonian time interval had a common forcing agent, and that perturbations of or-bitally forced climate cycles are present exactly through the interval with the enhanced influx of extraterrestrial 3 He. Thus, the che-mostratigraphic evidence for a collisional event that created the Veritas family of asteroids , coinciding with climate perturbations on Earth, suggests yet another form of interaction between Earth and the solar system.
