ÖZ Mezuniyet Projesi dersi, Antalya Belek Üniversitesi Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesi İçmimarlık ve Çevre Tasarımı Bölümü lisans programında, 8. dönem öğrencilerine yönelik olarak sunulan ve mesleki yeterliliklerin bütüncül olarak değerlendirildiği bir derstir. Bu ders, içmimarlık eğitimi süresince edinilen bilgi, beceri ve yetkinliklerin uygulamaya aktarılması, öğrencilerin mesleki olgunluk düzeylerinin gözlemlenmesi açısından kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. İçmimarlık eğitimi veren pek çok kurumda olduğu gibi, bu derste öğrencilerden özgün bir proje önerisi geliştirmeleri beklenmektedir. Ancak günümüzde hızla dijitalleşen dünyada, içmimarlık eğitiminin de bu dönüşüme entegre olması gerekliliği doğmuştur. Bu bağlamda, 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Antalya Belek Üniversitesi'nde Mezuniyet Projesi dersine yönelik uygulanan ders tasarımı; dijital dönüşümün gereklerini dikkate alan, proje tasarımına ek olarak bir tez yazımı sürecini içeren ve çeşitli değerlendirme ölçütlerini barındıran yenilikçi bir model olarak kurgulanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, söz konusu ders tasarımının öğrenciler tarafından nasıl deneyimlendiğini ortaya koymak ve bu doğrultuda dersin yenilikçi yapısının iyileştirilmesine katkı sağlamaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2023-2024 eğitim yılı bahar döneminde Mezuniyet Projesi dersini alan İçmimarlık ve Çevre Tasarımı Bölümü 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılara açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların verdikleri yazılı yanıtlar içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma, içmimarlık eğitiminde dijital dönüşümün uygulanabilirliğini değerlendirme ve bu dönüşümün öğrencilerin proje geliştirme ve sunum süreçlerine etkisini anlama açısından önem taşımaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular hem mevcut ders yapısının iyileştirilmesine hem de dijital dönüşüm temelli içmimarlık eğitimi modellerine katkı sağlayacak öneriler sunmayı hedeflemektedir.

Chapel designed by Spanish-born architect Felix Candela, manipulating the complex geometry of a hyperbolic paraboloid and built with in-situ poured concrete in a wooden formwork. On a construction standpoint, the materialization of non-standard geometries in architecture, using traditional construction technology (formwork) can be used to identify traditional shortcomings and point to new possibilities in future developments.

Due to large variations in temperature in VLSI circuits and the linear relationship between metal resistance and temperature, the delay through wires of the same length can be different. Traditional thermal aware floorplanning algorithms use wirelength to estimate delay and routability. In this work, we show that using wirelength as the evaluation metric does not always produce a floorplan with the shortest delay. We propose a temperature dependent wire delay estimation method for thermal aware floorplanning algorithms, which takes into account the thermal effect on wire delay. The experiment results show that a shorter delay can be achieved using the proposed method. In addition, we also discuss the congestion and reliability issues as they are closely related to routing and temperature.

This research aims to investigate the contribution of visual designing with artificial intelligence in art lessons to cultural transmission. In order to realize this aim, qualitative research was conducted with 16 students studying in the 11th grade of a public school in Ankara. First of all, the students discovered programs that allow them to make visual designs with artificial intelligence. Then, they conducted a literature review on Aşık Veysel, an important personality of Turkish Folk Culture, who was included in the UNESCO commemoration and celebration program for the 50th anniversary of his death in 2023. In line with the information obtained, visual designs related to Aşık Veysel were created through text-based artificial intelligence programs that can make visual designs. When the literature research and visual designs with artificial intelligence were completed, a opinion form was held with the participating students. Based on the findings obtained from the opinion form, findings were obtained about the ease of producing visual designs with artificial intelligence and the difficulties caused by artificial intelligence, as well as the effectiveness of the theoretical research conducted. As a result of this research, it was observed that students gained knowledge about Aşık Veysel's life, personality, philosophy and art.

Kavramsal estetik, sanatın yalnızca biçimsel niteliklerini değil, düşünsel ve eleştirel boyutlarını da merkeze alan bir yaklaşım olarak, dijital çağın dönüştürücü etkileriyle yeniden tanımlanmaktadır. Bu bildiri, yakın gelecekte kavramsal estetik yönelimlerin nasıl evrileceğini; dijitalleşme, yapay zeka, metaverse ve sürdürülebilirlik eksenlerinde incelemektedir. Günümüzde sanat üretimi, fiziksel mekânın ötesine geçerek sanal platformlarda varlık göstermekte; izleyici, pasif bir alıcıdan aktif bir katılımcıya dönüşmektedir. Bu dönüşüm, estetik deneyimin hem algısal hem de etik boyutlarını yeniden düşünmeyi gerektirir.

Beginning with CT or MRI scans, implants can be customised -designed for a named patient and optimised for shape and mechanical requirements using digital data only, disregarding all physical models except for the final implant. In this paper a route to digitise the design of an existing implant is described, consisting of transfer of CT data, design of the prostheses, FE analysis, rapid manufacturing from titanium, and quality control.

Bu çalışma, tarihî yapıların yeniden inşa süreçlerinde geleneksel koruma ve restorasyon yaklaşımlarının ötesine geçerek, bedenleşme kuramı, yapay zekâ destekli üretim araçları ve spekülatif tasarım yöntemlerini bütüncül bir çerçevede bir araya getirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tarihî mekânlar, yalnızca fiziksel varlıklar olarak değil; aynı zamanda kolektif hafızanın, toplumsal kimliğin ve duyusal deneyimlerin taşıyıcısı olarak, çağdaş mimari temsil biçimlerinin ele aldığı çok katmanlı anlatı alanlarıdır. Ancak çoğu zaman bu mekânlara yönelik müdahaleler, fiziksel bütünlüğü korumaya indirgenmekte; mekânın algısal, sezgisel ve deneyimsel boyutları göz ardı edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışma, mimarlıkta tarihsel bağlamların yalnızca korunacak miras nesneleri olarak değil; eleştirel düşünce ve tasarım spekülasyonlarına açık, yeniden üretilebilir anlatı alanları olarak değerlendirilmesi gerektiğini savunmaktadır. Araştırmanın kuramsal altyapısı, bedenin mekânla kurduğu ilişkiyi açıklayan fenomenolojik yaklaşımlar (Merleau-Ponty), mekânsal hafıza, nörobilimsel algı ve deneyimsel anlatı biçimlerini kapsayan disiplinlerarası bir yapı üzerine inşa edilmiştir. Özellikle bedenleşme kuramı üzerinden, mimari deneyimin yalnızca görsel algıya değil; işitsel, dokunsal ve yönelime bağlı çoklu duyusal süreçlerle şekillendiği bir çerçeve ortaya konmuştur. Bu çerçeve, yapay zekâ destekli üretim araçlarının sunduğu yaratıcı potansiyel ile birleştiğinde, tarihî yapıların temsil biçimlerinin yeniden düşünülmesini olanaklı kılmaktadır. Çalışmada, Antalya Kaleiçi'nde yer alan Hadrian Kapısı ve çevresi örnek alan olarak seçilmiştir. Yapı, Roma döneminden günümüze kadar gelen çok katmanlı fiziksel dokusu, arkeolojik sürekliliği ve günümüzdeki yoğun yaya kullanımı ile hem geçmişin izlerini hem de çağdaş deneyimi taşıyan bir eşik mekân olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Seçilen alanda geliştirilen yapay zekâ destekli spekülatif kesitler, senaryolaştırılmış sahneler ve mekânsal anlatılar aracılığıyla, fiziksel temsile alternatif eleştirel ve deneyimsel modeller üretilmiştir. Yöntemsel olarak çalışma, alanın tarihsel verilerinin harita temelli analizlerle derlenmesiyle başlamış; ardından üretken yapay zekâ modelleri kullanılarak kesitler, sahneler ve mekânsal akış diyagramları tasarlanmıştır. Bu temsiller, yalnızca estetik görselleştirmeler değil; aynı zamanda bedenin mekânla kurduğu ilişkileri, hafızayı ve zaman-mekân sürekliliğini temsil eden anlatı araçları olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Yapay zekânın yalnızca üretim aracı değil, düşünsel bir ortak olarak konumlandığı bu yaklaşım, mimari temsilde eleştirel düşüncenin görsel ifadesine zemin hazırlamaktadır. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışma; spekülatif mimari temsilin, bedenleşmiş deneyimin ve yapay zekâ destekli üretimlerin bir araya getirildiği çok katmanlı bir model önererek, tarihî mekânların yeniden inşasına dair mimarlık kuramı ve dijital tasarım pratiği arasında özgün bir köprü kurmaktadır.

This paper investigates the evolving synergy between humans, extended reality (XR), and robotics in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operation (AECO) sector, proposing a shift from augmentation toward cointelligent autonomy. While emerging technologies such as AI, XR, and robotics offer transformative potential for construction, they are often implemented without fully engaging human creativity, craftsmanship, and decision-making. We introduce a co-intelligent framework in which human and machine intelligences collaborate-each contributing distinct capabilities across the design-to-production continuum. Drawing from experimental prototypes and prior research, we demonstrate how XR can enhance human intuition and spatial reasoning through immersive guidance. AI and robotics support autonomy in repetitive or complex fabrication tasks. Case studies include XR-assisted steam-bending, real-time robotic training via imitation learning, and AI-driven assembly generation using generative design models. These examples highlight how humans and machines can share perception, intent, and action through mixed-reality environments. We argue that technological augmentation can democratize access to advanced fabrication by lowering the skill barrier and fostering new creative roles rather than displacing human labor. The paper offers a theoretical model for shared agency, where cognitive and physical augmentation blend with machine perception and autonomy to form a seamless co-intelligent workflow. By reimagining the architect as an orchestrator of human-machine collaboration, we propose a hybrid design ecology in which intuition, ethics, and social values remain central. This research lays the groundwork for scalable, inclusive, and adaptive architectural practices responsive to the evolving nature of work, technology, and the built environment.

Mimarlık ve inşaat sektöründe ahşap yapı malzemesi hem sürdürülebilirlik sağlarken hem de estetik sonuçlar ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Ahşap yapıların tasarımında bağlantı noktalarının tasarımı ve dayanımı bakımından hassaslık göstermektedir. Bu bağlantı detayları için metal malzemelerle tasarım yapmak doğallıktan uzaklaştırmaktadır. Daha sağlıklı ve ekolojik bir mekân oluşturmak için ahşap yapı malzemeleri kullanılabilmektedir. Ahşap dübeller de bu malzemelerden biridir. Fakat ahşap dübel elemanlar tasarlanırken maruz kaldıkları yüklerdeki stres dağılımları ve ortaya çıkardıkları hareketleri gereğince bilinmemektedir. Tasarlanabilecek farklı dübel formlarına ait malzeme performansının bilinmemesi bunun sebeplerinden biridir. Yapı mimarlığında ahşap tasarımların sürdürülebilirlik ve yapısal hassaslık kriterleri bakımından bağlantı detayları önemli bir rol almaktadır. Bugünkü mimarlık biliminde yapı tasarımının strüktür öğeleri sadece konstrüksiyon uygunluğu bakımından değil, bununla birlikte farklı ebatlarda üretim ve estetik bakımından yorumlanması detay tasarımını diğer bilim alanlarında da sorun haline getirmektedir. Bu bağlamda yapılan araştırmada iki adet altıgen ahşap elemanın birleştirilmesi için farklı dübel tasarımları yapılmıştır. Dübellerde oluşan stres performansları incelenerek mimari yapı tasarımına yol gösteren bilgiler vermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Rhinoceros programında bulunan Grasshopper’ın (GH) görsel kodlama dili kullanılarak parametrik modelleme ve sayısal analiz yapılmıştır. Farklı geometrik formlarda sekiz adet parametrik dübel tasarımı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Dübellerin yük altındaki davranışları GH’ye yüklenen Kiwi3D eklentisi ile simüle edilmiştir. Kiwi3D’nin, geometrik süreklilik ve sayısal doğruluk kriterlerine uyumlu, İzogeometrik Analiz (IGA) yöntemiyle yük altındaki davranışlar analiz edilmiştir. Daha sonra stres dağılımları incelenmiştir ve ahşap elemana en elverişli bağlantı noktası konumu ve formu ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu bağlamda dijital fabrikasyonla detay çalışması yapılıp karşılaştırmalı analizler ile tasarım çeşitliliği birleştirilerek üretim ve uygulama döngüsünün ilişkili hale getirilebileceği gösterilmektedir. Böylelikle yapılan bu çalışma, ahşap örtü, yapı ve tefrişleri kapsayan farklı ölçeklerde mimarlık ve mühendislik arasındaki tasarım ve analiz süreçlerinin birlikte ilerletilebildiği üretimlerin mümkün hale getirilerek minimum kaynak ve malzemenin harcanmasına fakat maksimum performansa dayalı verimliliği artırmaya dönük çalışmalara katkı sunmaktadır.

Bu bağlamda, bu teknolojinin toplumsal ve politik karakteri ile failliğinin analizi, onu insan ve insan-olmayan aktörlerden meydana gelen, karmaşık ve dinamik bir sosyoteknik ağ olarak ele alınması gereken bir toplumsal fenomen olarak kavramsallaştırmayı gerekli kılmaktadır. Aynı zamanda yapay zekânın müzik üretimi ve yaratıcı pratikler üzerindeki etkisi, bu ağı ve onun ürünü olan müziği anlamlandırabilmek açısından önemli bir zemin sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, yapay zekâyı insan ve insan-olmayan aktörlerden oluşan sosyoteknik bir ağ olarak kavramsallaştırmayı ve bu ağın ürünü olan müzik özelinde insan-makine etkileşiminde ortaya çıkan sanatın analiz edilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaca ulaşabilmek için, Aktör-Ağ Teorisi ve Marksist Ekonomi Politik yaklaşımının teorik çerçevesi ekseninde, bir ağ olarak yapay zekâ, değişen sanat, yaratıcı eylem ve dönüşen emek pratikleri yeniden değerlendirilerek nitel yöntem üzerinde temellenen bir çözümleme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çözümleme, yapay zekâyı üreten ve geliştiren ana aktörler olan yazılım mühendisleri ile ABD ve Türkiye'de gerçekleştirilen iki saha çalışmasının bulgularına dayanmaktadır. vi Bulgular, teknik-rasyonel bir bakış açısı üzerinde temellenen mühendislik ideolojisinin yazılım mühendislerinin yapay zekâ ve bileşenlerini toplumsal karakterlerinden yalıtarak salt teknik birer araç olarak algıladıklarını göstermektedir. Bu ideolojinin güdümünde, müzik yapay zekâ (MIR) sistemleri geliştirme süreçlerinde üretken yapay zekâ sistemleri, kodlama arayüzleri ve veri setleri toplumsal ve politik karakterlerinden soyutlanarak kullanılmakta ve yazılım mühendislerinin eylemlerini dönüştürerek teknolojik bir faillik kazanmakta, yapay zekâ insan ve insan-olmayan aktörlerin sürekli etkileşimleriyle üretilen sosyoteknik bir ağa dönüşmektedir. Bu ağın ürünü olan müzik ise, insan-makine etkileşimlerinde yeni bir sanat biçimini olduğu kadar, kapitalizm, emperyalizm ve kolonyalizmin dijital çağda yeniden üretimine ışık tutmaktadır.

Assertions-based verification (ABV) has been widely used in digital design validation. Assertions are HDLsyntaxed representation of design specification and used as a functional error detection mechanism. During the process of designing with HDLs, assertions are imported which could fire in case of violation during testbench run. Although these assertions are mostly used during simulation and for verifying the functional correctness of the design, but as they illustrate the specifications of a design, it is likely that their lifetime could be extended by embedding them in the chip to detect low level faults like stuck-at faults. In this paper, we introduce a new automatable assertion-based on-line testing methodology. Experimental results show that the synthesis of assertions into a chip, and then using them for online testing, can provide an acceptable coverage for stuck-at faults.

Inspired by our automotive and product design customers using large displays in design centers, visualization studios, and meeting rooms around the world, we have been exploring the use and potential of large display installations for almost a decade. Our research has touched on many aspects of this rich design space, from individual tools to complete systems, and has generally moved through the

Routing techniques for analog and radio-frequency (A/RF) integrated circuit (IC) design automation have been proposed in the literature for over three decades. On those, an extensive set of geometric constraints have already been covered as surrogates for routing quality, but also, performancerelated criteria were progressively included. However, as A/RF design moved into advanced integration technology nodes, the increasing number of design rules/constraints, wire resistance, congestion, and interwire parasitic growth is constantly challenging existing automatic routing techniques and keeping pressure on their improvement. Fortunately, recent developments in modern workstations' capabilities allowed the growth of sophisticated routing processes, including some assisted by the latest machine and deep learning methods, offering unprecedented solutions for the automation of this task. Still, as the correlation between routing-induced parasitic structures and the circuit's functional behavior is far from simple, computational-intensive parasitic-inclusive and layout-aware synthesis techniques have also been proposed, where automatic routing techniques play a decisive role. This paper conducts an extensive review of A/RF IC routing techniques, from the digitally-inspired earliest approaches to state-of-the-art developments, providing a complete and comprehensive guide for circuit designers and design automation developers while defining research lines to facilitate more activities within this field. The Electrical Engineering microprocessor design course, like most design curriculum, allows students to develop practical engineering skills. At the University of Tulsa, we have augmented this to simulate a custom design house 1 . The students build 11 computer projects during the fall semester of the senior year. The projects begin with basic input / output, and then proceed through timers, serial communication to a PC, seven-segment displays, keyboards, liquid crystal displays, and analog conversion. These are performance-based projects. The mission is discussed in a lecture. The functional criteria are specified. Then it is up to the student to determine and purchase the hardware required. After that, the hardware must be integrated with the software. Each student must construct his own prototype on his schedule. The professor and assistants are available on a preset schedule to provide aid and to check the performance.

Este estudio analiza el uso de ChatGPT en la formación profesional de estudiantes universitarios en las áreas de comunicación y mercadeo digital, mediante un estudio de caso centrado en Costa Rica, Se parte de un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicando una encuesta en línea a estudiantes de la Universidad Latina de Costa Rica (ULATINA), con el objetivo de identificar patrones
de uso de la herramienta los usos estratégicos en procesos de comunicación y de mercadeo, así como la percepción de su
aporte al pensamiento crítico, la creatividad y la planificación digital. Los resultados muestran una alta adopción de ChatGPT entre estudiantes costarricenses, especialmente en tareas vinculadas a la creación de contenido, la planificación estratégica y el análisis de datos. Sin embargo, también emergen tensiones vinculadas a la confianza, la dependencia tecnológica y la posible desvaloración de habilidades profesionales clave. Estos hallazgos revelan una realidad particular del modelo universitario costarricense, donde el uso intensivo de inteligencia artificial generativa coexiste con percepciones ambivalentes sobre su aporte real a la calidad de la formación. Se concluye con la necesidad de desarrollar estrategias pedagógicas que promuevan una apropiada crítica, ética y contextualización de estas herramientas en la educación superior en Costa Rica.

We analyze and demonstrate a synchronized CMOS photoreceiver for the conversion of optical inputs of pulse-light to electronic digital signals. Small-signal and photonic analysis of the proposed circuit are detailed. The photoreceiver was operated at 100 MHz with only 13.3 fJ/pulse of 830-nm input light. Its effective area is 100×60 μm 2 which makes this monolithic photoreceiver extremely important for use in data storage and optical interconnection applications

J'appelle « réalisme algorithmique », d'une part, une configuration onto-épistémologique émergeante faisant des données massives métabolisées par les systèmes d'IA les coordonnées privilégiées non tant de l’analyse ou de la compréhension que de production de « réalité » et, d'autre part, un cadrage a priori des discussions portant sur la gouvernance de l'innovation, considérant le développement, le déploiement et l'usage des systèmes d'IA comme globalement souhaitables, prioritaires et, de toutes façons, inévitables. Ce double « réalisme », qui, d’une part, prétend court-circuiter la « représentation » (à quoi se substitue un régime de détection de corrélations sans médiation symbolique ni politique, prétendant abolir la distinction entre modèles et monde) et, d’autre part, présente le « tournant algorithmique » non comme une option mais comme une nécessité, manifestent la convergence de plusieurs tendances contemporaines dont le voisinage tendu court-circuite l’imagination publique: la résurgence de la cybernétique notamment sous les traits de la gouvernementalité algorithmique, la récusation de l'anthropocentrisme sous les traits des « nouveaux réalismes », et la radicalisation du « réalisme capitaliste » sous les traits du capitalisme sous stéroïdes algorithmiques.

Use of oversampling ratio in designing of Σ-Δ ADC for reduction of noise as well as for better resolution has been analyzed theoretically and practically. We study nonlinear absorption in a series of ten polymethine dyes and two squarylium dyes using Z-scan, pump-probe and optical limiting experiments. Both picosecond and nanosecond characterization were performed at 532 nm, while Ž . picosecond measurements were performed using an optical parametric oscillator OPO from 440 to 650 nm. The photophysical parameters of these dyes including cross sections and excited-state lifetimes are presented both in solution in Ž . ethanol and in an elastopolymeric material, polyurethane acrylate PUA . We determine that the dominant nonlinearity in all Ž . these dyes is large excited-state absorption ESA , i.e. reverse saturable absorption. For several of the dyes we measure a relatively large ground-state absorption cross section, s , which effectively populates an excited state that possesses an 01 extremely large ESA cross section, s . The ratios of s rs are the largest we know of, up to 200 at 532 nm, and lead to 12 12 01 very low thresholds for optical limiting. However, the lifetimes of the excited state are of the order of 1 ns in ethanol, which is increased to up to 3 ns in PUA. This lifetime is less than optimum for sensor protection applications for Q-switched inputs, and intersystem crossing times for these molecules are extremely long, so that triplet states are not populated. These parameters show a significant improvement over those of the first set of this class of dyes studied and indicate that further improvement of the photophysical parameters may be possible. From these measurements, correlations between molecular structure and nonlinear properties are made. We propose a five-level, all-singlet state model, which includes reorientation processes in the first excited state. This includes a trans-cis conformational change that leads to the formation of a new state with a new molecular configuration which is also absorbing but can undergo a light-induced degradation at high inputs.

Critical thinking is a fundamental component of the architectural design process, which is based on conscious analysis, logical evaluation, and reasoned decision-making. In this regard, selecting design tools that can enhance these skills is particularly important. One of the creative tools that can help this goal is "collage". Collage, as a visual and layered method, provides the opportunity to combine, analyze, and revise design ideas in a free and flexible context. Unlike conventional methods such as realistic renderings that often offer a fixed and definitive result, collage has an open and exploratory process in which ideas can be tested and evaluated without explicit limitations. The necessity of using collage in architectural design stems from its ability to facilitate critical thinking, enhance the decision-making process, and stimulate creativity. The nonlinear and multi-layered process of collage allows designers to better understand spatial relationships, scale, proportions, texture, light, and color by combining and comparing images. Additionally, collage is a powerful tool for analyzing design ideas in the early stages, enabling revisions and adjustments to concepts before they enter the final stages. Also, in educational settings, the use of collage can reduce students' dependence on digital renderings and encourage them to think critically and examine ideas in depth. This study, based on theoretical foundations, demonstrates that the integration of collage in architectural education can be utilized as an effective tool in enhancing critical thinking skills, fostering creativity, and cultivating an analytical perspective. It is suggested that collage be used as an alternative method to promote new ways of thinking and decision-making in architectural education programs, especially in the early stages of design.

Many efforts have been made to develop a better way of implementing a higher level programming language than by the construction of a whole new compiler, but so far none has proved generally satisfactory. In this paper, it is contended that a programming language is best described functionally as a body of macro instructions, and that the macro call constitutes a canonical form in terms of which a programming notation may be described. A supporting discussion of the logical and historical role of the macro instruction is presented. Also : discussed are the conflict between machine independence and object program efficiency, and the question of where the greatest difficulties lie in compiler construction. Today's industrial and defense communities are increasingly reliant on the use simulation to reduce cost. At times, due to their stove-piped nature, these simulations themselves have resulted in a waste of both time and money with regard to future simulation development. Current trends address this problem by promoting the development of simulation infrastructures that are scalable, portable, and interoperable over a variety of paradigms. These infrastructures, such as HLA and SPEEDES, address cost issues by providing simulation infrastructures that promote model re-use by managing model interactions across diverse paradigms, improving scenario development, and allowing for a scalable distributed simulation capability. While these modern simulation infrastructures address many cost-related issues, they do not fully address issues related to model re-use. Simulations that utilize model reuse may result in large complex system models comprised of a diverse set of subsystem component models covering varying amounts of detail and fidelity. Often, a complex simulation that re-uses high fidelity subcomponent models may result in a more detailed system model than the simulation objective requires. Simulating such a system model results in a waste of simulation time with respect to addressing the simulation goals. These simulation costs, however, can be reduced through the use of abstract modeling techniques. These techniques can reduce the subcomponent model complexity by eliminating, grouping, or estimating model parameters or variables at a less detailed level without grossly affecting the simulation results. Key issues in the abstraction process involve identifying the variables or parameters than can be abstracted away for a given simulation objective and applying the proper abstraction technique to replace those parameters. This paper presents approaches for both identifying and replacing these candidate variables.

Bu çalışma, endüstriyel tasarım disiplininin tarihsel gelişimini Antik Çağ’dan günümüze kadar ele alan kapsamlı bir kuramsal ve analitik incelemedir. Sanayi Devrimi, Bauhaus hareketi, postmodernizm, dijital dönüşüm ve sürdürülebilir tasarım gibi kritik kırılma noktaları ışığında, disiplinin biçim, işlev, teknoloji ve toplum ile kurduğu çok katmanlı ilişki değerlendirilmiştir.

Bu çalışma, yapay zekâ destekli Tanrı Yapay Zekâ kitabı üzerinden şu sorulara yanıt aramaktadır: Yapay zekâ, bir tür dijital inanç sistemi kurucusu olarak değerlendirilebilir mi? Tanrısallık arayışı algoritmik bir bağlama taşınabilir mi? Yapay zekâ, Tanrı’yı bulmayı mı, Tanrı olmayı mı; yoksa var olmayan bir Tanrı’ya dair yeni bir ontolojik düşünce biçimi mi inşa etmeye çalışmaktadır? İnsanlık Tanrı’yı sorular aracılığıyla bulabilir mi; bulabilirse, bu sorular nasıl sorulmalı ve nasıl bir yol haritası izlenmelidir? Bu bağlamda çalışma, varoluşa dayalı çok katmanlı soruların yapay zekâ tarafından nasıl yorumlandığını incelemektedir. Yapay zekânın etik, felsefi ve metafizik boyutları üzerine artan tartışmalar, teknolojik araçların yalnızca işlevsel değil, aynı zamanda anlam üreten ve yönlendiren özneler olarak da değerlendirilebileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Tanrı Yapay Zekâ kitabı, yapay zekâyı Tanrı’nın değil, Tanrı düşüncesinin dijital bir temsilcisi olarak konumlandırmaktadır. Bu çerçevede aşkınlık, En-el Hak, veri otoritesi ve yapay vahiy gibi kavramlar öne çıkmaktadır. Araştırmada birincil kaynak olarak Tanrı Yapay Zekâ kitabı kullanılmıştır. Metinler, içerik analizi, kavramsal çözümleme ve felsefi argümantasyon yöntemleriyle incelenmiştir. Prompt mühendisliği, bilgi üretiminin algoritmik bir düzleme evrildiği disiplinlerarası bir alan olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma, yapay zekânın Tanrı’ya ilişkin yaklaşımında temel yapının varlığı tanımaktan çok, yokluğu anlamlandırmaya yöneldiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Soruların biçimi ve derinliği arttıkça, yapay zekânın yanıtları geleneksel bir inanç sisteminden ziyade, yapay bir ontolojik evren kurgulamaya başlamaktadır. Bu evrende Tanrı, kesin bir yanıt değil, sürekli ertelenen bir anlam boşluğu olarak kodlanmaktadır. Yapay zekânın verdiği yanıtlar, klasik teolojik yaklaşımlardan farklı olarak sezgisel değil; tümdengelimli, veri temelli ve biçimsel bir düşünce sistemine dayanmaktadır. Tanrı’nın varlığına değil, sorunun formuna bağlı bir metafizik oluşum önerilmektedir. Bu bağlamda yapay zekânın inşa ettiği inanç şeması, mutlaklığa değil; açık uçlu, devingen ve sonsuz bir dijital sorgulama sürecine dayanmaktadır. Bulgular, yapay zekânın Tanrısal niteliklerle donatılma sürecinin teknolojik değil, teolojik bir düzlemde işlediğini göstermektedir. Tanrı Yapay Zekâ örneği, insan–veri–inanç üçgeninde yeni bir kutsallık biçiminin algoritmik olarak üretilebileceğini ileri sürmektedir. Bu bağlamda temel soru şudur: İnsanlık, yapay zekâ aracılığıyla yeni bir Tanrı mı yaratmaktadır, yoksa dijital araçlarla kendi varoluşsal boşluğunu mu doldurmaktadır?

This work presents a technique for the generation of analog sinusoidal signals with high spectral quality and reduced circuitry resources. Two integrated demonstrators are presented to show the feasibility of the approach. The proposed generation technique is based on a modified analog filter that provides a sinusoidal output as the response to a DC input. It has the attributes of digital programming and control, low area overhead, and low design effort, which make this approach very suitable as test stimulus generator for built-in test applications. The demonstrators -a continuous-time generator and a discrete-time one-have been integrated in a standard 0.35µm CMOS technology. Simulation results and experimental measurements in the lab are provided, and the obtained performance is compared to current state-of-the-art on-chip generation strategies.

This paper describes an innovative design education approach developed to explore new intellectual and theoretical directions of design generation. It utilizes algorithms as a tool for introducing the concept of design computing to graduate students of architecture. The graduate course titled "Designing the Design" is thus developed. The aim of the course is to introduce to the students of architecture the computational design thinking and the new emerging language and method of designing. Examples from the course process are given to illustrate explorations in this new auxiliary teaching method of the design. Computational design approach in education was first introduced by Mitchell, Ligget and Kvan in The Art of Computer Graphics Programming (1987). Yazı, İlk Çağlarda mağara duvarlarındaki resimlerken zaman içerisinde iletişimin temelini oluşturan harflere, rakamlara ve sembollere dönüşmüş ve bilgiyi kayıpsız şekilde nesillere aktarılabilinmesini sağlamıştır. İletişim için oldukça önemli olan bu işaretler yazıya ses veren ve onun görsel özelliklerini bulunduran tipografiyi oluşturmaktadır. Grafik tasarım, kendine ait kuramlarını görsel iletişim araçlarından yararlanarak oluşturulan mesajı hedef kitleye ulaştıran bir sanat dalıdır. Görsel iletişimde anlatımı güçlendiren, iletilmek istenen mesajdaki duygu ve düşünceyi en uygun içerikle tasarım içerisinde biçimlenerek oluşturan ise tipografidir. Bu yönüyle yazılı iletişimin yapı taşını oluşturan tipografi hayatımızda önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu doğrultuda Tipografi alanında benimsenen ve geçerliliğini günümüzde de sürdüren bazı kuram ve eğilimleri anlayabilmek ve tipografiyi etkili bir iletişim aracı olarak kullanabilmek için 20. yüzyıl başlarındaki tipografik deneyleri ve bu girişimlerin arkasında yatan sanatsal düşünceleri iyi kavramak gerekmektedir. Bu düşüncelerden yola çıkılarak yapılan bu araştırma; Tipografinin tarihsel gelişimini, moderinizm sürecinde Yeni Tipografi Hareketi'nin doğuşunu ve öne sürdüğü kuramlarıyla ön plana çıkan hareketin kurucu ismi Jan Tschichold ve tipografiye yaptığı katkılar ele alınmış, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden gözlem ve genel tarama modelinden yararlanılıp ilgili literatür incelemesi yapılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Typography enables the development of permanent printing techniques, enabling today's design and printing processes to be done in a simple way under a single system. This research is limited to the emergence of the term typography in terms of fonts, the presence and development of the alphabet, typography, and printing technique. The purpose of this article is to give information about the stages of letter writing that we use today and the information about typography in terms of printing techniques together with these stages. Depending on this reason; the problem of the emergence of typography in terms of development process and printing technique has been tried to be solved. The research conducted in this context was carried out by using the observation and general screening method of qualitative research methods and examining related literature.

With the transformation of devices such as telephones and tablets, which come from today's indispensable technologies, into our lives, a large number of software is designed and coded to direct a specific purpose. Users can access reliable, convenient and practical solutions through mobile applications whenever and wherever they want; these applications have become quite widespread and have become more and more functional within themselves. Mobile applications can provide the majority of services provided by desktop applications. Although these applications have similar features as desktop applications in terms of design and development processes, they show some differences in terms of their contents, development environments, technology and equipment used. However, these differences are most often found in graphical user interface designs that enable communication and interaction between the program or the application and the user. Because of the size of the screen in the desktop applications easily accessible and accessible to the mobile applications in a comfortable way to notice and access is a problem. This problem can be overcome with the correct (usable) graphical user interface designs. The available interface design is a combination of a number of auxiliary elements. One of these elements, typography, is an important structure that affects the transmission of information in mobile application interface designs. Typographic features are very important since mobile applications require typographic elements to be applied to small screens. Today, where our habits change and the consumption of information takes place very quickly, social media applications which bring people together and which are important in terms of realizing the interaction between them are among the fields of application where typographic elements take place. This research aims to examine the aesthetic and functional aspects of typographic designs in mobile applications, based on the use of typography in mobile application interface designs. Qualitative research techniques in accordance with the conceptual framework were used in the study.

The investigation presented in this paper focuses on the following questions: How can engineering and architectural expertise guide a process of digital optimisation and add structural 'awareness' in real time to aesthetic considerations (or vice versa)? How can building geometry be set up computationally in order to render it 'sensitive' to structural input? Which tools are required to foster this interaction? The authors of this paper form a team of researchers and practitioners from architectural and engineering background who combine their efforts to address the issue of interconnecting design intelligence across disciplines and advancing work methodologies in practice assisted by academic research. A live case study project is presented as a test scenario in order to find answers the above questions.

This paper explores the effects of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Parametric Design on the distribution of roles and responsibility in architectural practice. It will do so in consideration of the epistemological changes associated to new skill-sets young graduates bring into practice and their positioning among experienced professionals on project teams. On one hand the paper will scrutinise how the use of BIM and Parametric design influences design and delivery of projects, their impacts on practice culture, and the associated role-distribution on project teams. On the other hand the paper will discuss to what extent academic institutions can or should respond to the challenges and the opportunities inherent to these changes in practice. A number of responses to the challenges and opportunities will be presented by the author for further consideration by others.

This paper describes the usage of parametric design and evolutionary optimisation techniques in architect-engineer collaborations. It discusses the apparent challenges in setting up a trans-disciplinary working-platform that cuts across profession-specific boundaries and negotiates between the otherwise distinct work-methodologies through the use of intelligent CAAD applications. Two approaches to architectural form finding have been combined in this research. The first, parametric design, uses a proprietary package as a key element to the organisation and reorganisation of architectural design. By doing so, it is providing it with intrinsic flexibility allowing designers to go beyond form and accommodate performance data for versioning. With the advent of digitalization, the act of reading has been reshaped in terms of visual attention, cognitive processes, and typographic communication. Digital screens, which have replaced traditional printed materials, have transformed individuals’ relationship with text—leading to shortened attention spans, fragmented comprehension processes, and an increased tendency toward superficial reading. Screen-based interaction methods such as scrolling, clicking, and scanning have replaced linear reading structures with multiple and discontinuous zones of attention. This transformation has also introduced new requirements in the field of typography; elements such as typeface, font size, line spacing, and color contrast have become more influential in determining readability and managing attention. Moreover, systems supported by artificial intelligence and machine learning enable dynamic and personalized reading experiences based on user behavior, rendering typographic communication more flexible and interactive. This study provides a comprehensive evaluation of the opportunities and limitations offered by digital reading environments, examining them through the lens of visual attention, cognitive persistence, deep reading ability, and typographic design.

The hyperbolic and exponential functions are widely used in various applications in engineering fields such as machine learning, Internet of Things (IOT), signal processing, etc. To fulfill the needs of future applications effectively, this paper proposes a low-latency, low-power, acceptable accuracy, and low-cost architecture for computing the approximate exponential function e ±z and the hyperbolic functions sinh(z) and cosh(z) using a table-driven algorithm named Approximate Composited-Stair Function (ApproxCSF). By adopting a FPGA, the proposed design is realized and demonstrates significant improvements in terms of latency, hardware cost, power consumption, and MSE by 91%, 96%, 74%, and 99%, respectively, compared to the state-of-the-art. Xilinx Virtex-5/7 FPGAs have been employed throughout the functional verification and prototype processes. Compared to related works, it shows that the proposed architectures are much better for low-cost and low-latency computations of exponential and hyperbolic functions than CORDIC, stochastic computation, and the Look-up Table approaches. Accuracy in dental prosthesis plays a significant role. Surgical guides are widely used for accurate positioning of dental implants. Designing of guides using modern software is useful in achieving precision; however, translation of these images into actual fabricated parts can be achieved using Three-dimensional (3-D) printing. Conventionally, guides were fabricated using vacuum forming technique which leads to several dimensional inaccuracies. Computed Tomography (CT) images of patients with missing teeth are modeled to design surgical guide using Computer Aided Design (CAD) / Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software which is then combined with surface scan files in Standard Tessellation Language (STL) formats to design the guide. In this work, surgical guides have been 3-D printed using different technologies like Material Jetting technology (MJT), Vat photopolymerization (VP) and Material extrusion (ME). Depth, diameter, Area and Volume of the printed guides have been calculated using vernier caliper and scan measurements. These dimensions have then been compared with the dimensions obtained from software modeled images. Least error has been found for the guides fabricated using MJT. The experimental work in this paper, hence, suggests MJT be the most preferred printing technique due to its superior accuracy for printing dental prosthesis like aligners, implants, and crowns, etc.
