The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation is reshaping global labor markets, necessitating a critical examination of their implications for workforce dynamics and skill requirements in developing economies. Lebanon, facing unique socio-economic challenges, presents a compelling case study for understanding how AI-driven disruptions may influence employment trends, skill gaps, and workforce preparedness. This interdisciplinary study conducted by researchers with expertise in engineering, human resources (HR), and supply chain management investigates the transformative effects of AI and automation on Lebanon’s labor market.
Through a systematic review of global and regional literature, combined with sector-specific case studies from Lebanon’s key industries (e.g., manufacturing, IT, logistics, and services), this study analyzes:

In 2020, Maryland's legislators approved the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, a major investment in K-12 education that mandates access to career counseling for all middle and high school students (MSDE, 2024). This requirement has fueled efforts across the state to recruit and train individuals for newly created career coaching roles. While the importance of career counseling for all secondary level students has received strong support from most stakeholders, there have been questions surrounding who is providing these career coaching experiences. In light of those questions, this study explored the background characteristics, preparation experiences, and career counseling self-efficacy levels of 72 career coaches and school counselors from nine school systems in Maryland. Survey responses identified unique background and preparation experiences between career coaches and school counselors. Correlational analyses found a number of characteristics to be significantly associated with stronger career counseling self-efficacy levels. This study has implications for informing career coaching recruitment and training efforts implemented by school systems, local workforce development boards, state departments of education, and other stakeholders.

Исследование направлено на выявление индикаторов психологической готовности клиентов к карьерным изменениям для определения границ применимости коучинга как способа поддержки. Методы: анализ литературы, экспертный опрос профконсультантов (n = 15). Результаты: выявлены стилевые особенности реагирования клиентов на вынужденные изменения в карьере, диагностирующие их признаки, границы применения коучингового формата работы. Выводы: карьерным специалистам необходимо учитывать психологические особенности ситуации изменений в карьере, стилевые особенности реагирования клиентов, владеть гибким инструментарием для своевременного выбора оптимального формата их поддержки. The study aims to identify indicators of clients' psychological readiness for career change in order to determine the applicability limits of coaching as a method of support. Methods: literature analysis, expert survey of career counselors (n=15). Results: clients' style response patterns for forced career changes, their diagnostic signs, the applicability limits of coaching format of work were revealed. Conclusions: career specialists need to take into account psychological peculiarities of the career changes situation, clients' style response patterns, mastering flexible tools for timely selection of the optimal format of their support.

As a result of these challenges, career coaching has become an essential intervention to help people navigate the cardiovascular processes, integrated into today's information-age economy. Originally, career coaching was involved with understanding and seeking careers from the client and has now expanded to this new definition. This also entails reviewing previous and current abilities to understand the outcome of an evaluation, receiving concrete direction for the essential skills that are required in the new-age workplace, and having methods of attending to changes resulting from the impact of automation. Career coaches also have an important role in assisting working people in identifying new relevant fields and mapping their current skill set in these new occupations. They encapsulate the need to continue learning and to stay abreast of technological advancements applicable to the client's profession. Also, the abstract describes the tools and methodologies used in contemporary MAVT and specific practices of career coaching. These are diverse and complex online aptitude and personality tests; realistic VR simulations for skills' practice; and self-organized artificial intelligence (AI) career marketplaces with algorithms that match given skills and desired careers with suitable jobs and training opportunities. All these technological advancements go a long way in not only improving the efficiency and efficacy of career coaching interventions in a world that is rapidly becoming a digitalized workplace but also enabling people to make appropriate career decisions. For the future, the abstract notes the philosophy of mobility of career coaching regarding the changes in technologies and marketing of occupations. It emphasizes the increasing need to personalize the delivery of executive and management coaching services coupled with the use of technology in assisting individuals to self-manage their careers by positioning them to fit into opportunities created by the execution of automation and digitization. Through promoting adaptability, supporting the development of new skills, and using information technologies most appropriately, representatives of this occupation contribute to preparing people for the future world of work where automation is likely to play a dominating role. Career coaches face the challenge of navigating clients through these transformative changes where automation significantly shapes job descriptions. They must actively scan the market for emerging job opportunities that reflect new technological trends and prepare clients to acquire the necessary skills to transition into these evolving careers.Thus, such steps as resume parsing and job matching based on Artificial Intelligence contribute to CV Warehouse's innovative model; career coaches can prepare their clients for such vacancies that will let them use the opportunities provided by technological progress. Automation tools may be used to consider the job market insights, anticipate future skills requirements, and suggest feasible career development plans based on the client's career goals. In this way, due to the actualization of some fields because of the application of automation, the coaches help the clients to find ways of effectively handling change and being well-placed to fit into promising careers when markets become competitive. Services offered to find jobs by CV Warehouse reveal that the constant need to enhance technology knowledge and relevant skill sets is critical in today's operational environment. The study aimed to describe and analyze the influences to the students' choice of a track and strand in senior high school among grade 10 students of Cristo Rey High School. Employing the descriptive-correlational method of research, 253 respondents were chosen using random sampling technique from different year levels were surveyed using the questionnaire method. Frequency and mean computation were utilized in describing the influences under childhood aspirations, family/relative influences, peer/friends influences, values, perceive in-demand jobs, socioeconomic status, and school guidance counselor. Whereas, Pearson-Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient was the statistical treatment used to relate the influences with the respondents' age, gender, scholastic aptitude, family monthly income, and parental educational attainment. The research study revealed that among the identified influences, the most influenced was values. Moreover, in-demand jobs were also found to have a significant relationship with the influences of the respondents in choosing a track and strand in senior high school. At the end of the study, an analysis was proposed and the implication of this study to educational management was set out. Since the findings surfaced matters about the influences that students faced with, the study recommended that family and school should work hand in hand to shaped the future of our students by motivating them in choosing the right track and strand for their senior high school.

Аннотация. В статье проводится сравнительный
анализ исследований научных публикаций, посвященных системам профессиональной ориентации в России и развитых зарубежных странах: сопоставляются методологические подходы, организационные особенности, цели, субъекты, формы и методы работы. По итогам проведенного контент-анализа российских и зарубежных публикаций выделяются сходные взгляды на содержательно-целевые аспекты и различия в организационно-методических. Делается вывод, что развитие профессиональной ориентации в системе
образования не только является глобальной тенденцией в экономически развитых странах, но и перспективным объектом сравнительно-педагогических исследований.
Abstract. The article provides a comparative analysis of research of scientific publications devoted to vocational guidance systems in Russia and developed foreign countries: methodological approaches, organizational features, goals, subjects, forms, and methods of work are compared. Based on the results of the content analysis of Russian and foreign publications, similar views on content-targeted aspects and differences in organizational and methodological aspects are highlighted. It is concluded that the development of professional orientation in the education system is not only a global trend in economically developed countries but also a promising object of comparative pedagogical research.

В статье рассматриваются вопросы выбора педагогической профессии выпускниками школ и поступления в вуз в условиях продолжающейся пандемии, влияние которой на сферу образования рассматривается в науке как долгосрочный качественный процесс. Отмечается признание значимости педагогической профессии в обществе и рост интереса к ней со стороны абитуриентов. Результаты проведенных авторами в 2020 и в 2021 гг. опросов 186 студентов первых курсов педагогических специальностей Смоленского государственного университета показали, что большинство студентов, выбирающих профессию учителя, обладают высоким уровнем сформированности профессионального самоопределения, на который оказывают влияние разнообразные факторы: интерес к профессии, влияние семьи, активное участие в профориентационных мероприятиях. В ситуации продолжающейся пандемии выпускники постепенно адаптировались к особенностям обучения и подготовки к ЕГЭ, что позволило им успешно реализовать свои планы поступления.
The article discusses the issues of choosing a teaching profession by high school graduates and entering a university in the context of an ongoing pandemic, the impact of which on the education sector is considered in science as a long-term qualitative process. The recognition of the importance of the teaching profession in society and the growing interest in it on the part of enrollees is noted. The results of the surveys conducted by the authors in 2020 and in 2021 of 186 first-year undergraduate students of pedagogical specialties of the Smolensk State University showed that the majority of students choosing the teaching profession have a high level of professional self-determination, which is influenced by various factors: interest in the profession, family influence, active participation in career guidance activities. In the situation of the ongoing pandemic, graduates gradually adapted to the peculiarities of education and preparation for the Unified State Exam, which allowed them to successfully implement their admission plans.

Career networking as a praxeological communicative practice is little studied in terms of effectiveness. The
lack of research into the emotional, motivational, psychological and career effects of networking necessitates a study of
the relationship between the types of career networking and these effects. The effects of networking in achieving career
success were identified based on the electronic confidential survey of 102 employees of Ukrainian companies. The
results of assessing the relationship between career networking types and emotional, motivational, psychological and
occupational effects indicate that the relationship between variables is medium, low or absent. Therefore, the career
effect is not related to networking, according to employees, if there is an average level of connection between the
emotional, motivational, psychological effects and different types of networking. The study proves the subjectivity of the
assessment of career networking and its effects. The article reveals the perception of career development methods:
networking is perceived negatively as a way to achieve professional goals, which underestimates career performance. At
the same time networking is perceived positively as a way to maintain friendship, motivation and level of satisfaction.
The article confirms the connection between the subjective assessment of networking and the perception of networking
as a “dirty and dishonest” way to get a job, achieve professional goals or career growth. In general, the subjective
assessment of career networking causes low professional effects, while the emotional, motivational, psychological
effects may be overestimated due to the positive perception of such effects by respondents.

Τα τελευταία χρόνια αυξάνεται διαρκώς, τόσο σε θεωρητικό (μελέτες / βιβλιογραφία) αλλά και σε πρακτικό επίπεδο (στην αγορά εργασίας και στην εφαρμοσμένη έρευνα), η αξία της διεπιστημονικότητας. Η δημιουργική και ουσιαστική σύνθεση γνώσεων και δεξιοτήτων από διαφορετικούς επιστημονικούς (και όχι μόνο) κλάδους, αποτελεί μέγα ζητούμενο σε πληθώρα θέσεων και συχνά περιζήτητο προσόν από πολλούς φορείς. Η καθημερινή πρακτική εξάλλου, αποδεικνύει περίτρανα το εξής: στο σύνθετο οικονομικό-κοινωνικό και εργασιακό περιβάλλον που βρισκόμαστε και θα βρεθούμε όλοι μας τα επόμενα χρόνια, θα περιορίζονται οι επαγγελματικές επιλογές ανθρώπων που δεν έχουν τη δυνατότητα να αλληλεπιδράσουν δημιουργικά σε επιστημονικές ομάδες και επαγγελματικούς χώρους που πραγματεύονται πιο σύνθετα αντικείμενα στην κοινωνία της γνώσης.

The article discusses the possibilities of the employment service in the field of career guidance and vocation counseling with young people. The authors identify several problems that make it difficult to employ young professionals, consider the Russian and foreign experience of career guidance organized by the employment service, and identifies a system of measures that promote professional self-determination of young people.
В статье рассматриваются возможности службы занятости населения в сфере профориентационной и профконсультационной работы с молодежью. This article focuses on job and career coaching provided by a
multinational company, as a means of learning how to become
employable. On the basis of a critical discourse analysis informed by
Fairclough, we interrogate tips and advice in blog posts written by
job and career coaches on the company’s website. The aim of the
article is to examine the power relationships between the coaches, the
coachees and the employers in these tips and advice. The analytical
focus is directed at descriptions of three subject positions – the
coach, the coachee, and the employer. We explore the ways in which
their relationships to each other are legitimised. The tips and advice
shape a particular understanding of the contemporary conditions
and challenges on the labour market producing an ideology of job
and career coaching, where existing power relationships in working
life are legitimised by portraying coaches as neutral authorities and
coachees as commodities.

Getting our senior high-school (SHS) students prepared to enter the work world or college is now easier than it was in the past. Thanks to the Department of Education (DepEd) for rolling out its K to 12 Program, which comes with a Career Guidance Program (CGP) to help SHS students in making informed choices regarding their future career path.
