The article focuses on the problem of development of the lifelong learning skills of senior students in secondary school of general education. The experience of using the Trello project management system in the process of teaching foreign literature in 10th and 11th grades is described. It has been found that according to the lifelong learning approach a person has to possess skills: goal setting, self-regulation, motivation, time management, self-directed learning, collaboration skills, and self-development. Resum: Aquest article presenta els diferents tipus de text que poden trobar els traductors quan treballen per a la indústria del software d'entreteniment multimèdia interactiu i explica que els videojocs exigeixen habilitats diferents als traductors, com ara conèixer les memòries de traducció, ser capaços de cercar informació i ser creatius. Paraules clau: Videojoc, localització, traducció, localització de jocs, localització, software d'entreteniment, software multimèdia interactiu Resumen: Este artículo presenta los distintos tipos de texto con los que se pueden encontrar los traductores cuando trabajan para la industria del software de entretenimiento multimedia interactivo y explica que los videojuegos exigen habilidades distintas a los traductores, como por ejemplo, conocer las memorias de traducción, ser capaces de buscar información y ser creativos.

We have consequently used multimedia material for 2 years. We combine the fi ve basic types of media-text, video, sound, graphics and animation-with language technology tools such as CAT software and machine translation, within the scientifi c translation learning environment.

Are translators being trained to meet the future expectations of work providers and users of translation services? Are they equipped to use the new technologies? Teachers should take advantage of all the new technologies that are available: new media, new tools, new resources and use multimodal material, a wide range of modes like image, sound, kinetics, etc. to develop translator competence. The main objective of the present study is to propose a situated learning project applied to audiovisual translation, particularly to the subtitling of Michel Ocelot’s animation film Dilili in Paris, which will provide translators-tobe with the basic knowledge required to translate multilingual films.

This is a case study of a specific learning environment in the Intensive English Language Program, characterised by technical, spatial, temporal, and motivational restrictions that impede students' progress. Activity Theory was used to describe the situation, and to design an intervention in the form of a new activity system. A dubbing project was designed and implemented in the Listening and Speaking Course. It utilised students' mobile devices in an anywhere, anytime type of learning, and their native language and cultural background as a starting point to engage them in a collaborative effort that led to the production of eight dubbed videos. The resulting videos were entered in an internally-organised video competition which added a further motivational element to the project. To evaluate the project's effect on students' perceptions and motivation, data were collected using 5 focus group interviews. Results show high levels of motivation, increased learning, increased confidence and sense of achievement and pride in the resulting work. Abstract. This piece of work introduces the PluriTAV (Audiovisual Translation as a Tool for the Development of Multilingual Competences in the Classroom) research project. This project is staked on one of the most recent approaches of foreign language teaching, the multilingual approach, in which not only the language being studied (or taught) but also the linguistic repertoire of the classroom are taken into account. The project, focused on the teaching and perfecting of language, is based on the said approach and draws on a field related to foreign language teaching, audiovisual translation, so that through it, one can learn a foreign language, perfect mother tongue abilities and develop multilingual abilities. The fundamental objective of this project consists in the creation of a free web platform (PluriTAV) that allows the exploration and exploitation of the methodological possibilities that the implementation of the multilingual approach and the tools of different audiovisual translation modes can offer in the teaching of a foreign language and in the perfecting of mother tongues in the university environment. The hypothesis is that the proposed approach will allow improvement in foreign language acquisition, perfection of first languages and promotion of multilingual skills.

This article maps audiovisual translation research by analysing in a contrastive way the abstracts presented at three audiovisual translation conferences ten years ago and nowadays. The comparison deals with the audiovisual transfer modes and topics under discussion, and the approach taken by the authors in their abstracts. The article then shifts the focus to the role of technology in audiovisual translation research, as it is considered an element that is impacting and will continue to impact both research and practice in this field. Relevant research in audio-related, text-related and image-related technologies applied to audiovisual translation is summarised. The last section briefly discusses how technological tools can also help audiovisual translation professionals, users and researchers.

The article aims to describe AVT-LP (Audiovisual Translation Learning Platform), a new tool devised by a team made up of researchers from both the translation and engineering departments at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona which looks to foster self-learning in the main modes of audiovisual translation (dubbing, subtitling, voice-over, audio description, subtitling for the deaf and hard-of-hearing). The entire project development process is presented, with the article describing the main phases and showing in detail the final results as well as the end users’ feedback.
