Copyright, as well as Industrial Rights, forms the core of IPR. The purpose of the research is to comprehend the changes occurring in the Indian copyright domain in terms of Copyright applications and registrations. Further, to understand the global standing of India in terms of copyright, related rights, and restrictions with the world's top 15 GDPs (Gross Domestic Product). This paper tried to focus on two distinct research problems. The first was assessing the level of knowledge Indian individuals have on copyright and related rights and its upward trend over a chosen 37-month period. The second one looks at how the Indian IPR sector stands concerning the top economies globally. The present study aims to examine the trends in various parameters regarding copyright applications filed and registrations done including their correlation & normality for the period August 2017 to August 2020. Category 2 of the Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) International Index, Copyrights, Related Rights, and Limitations of the world's top 15 economies (GDPs) was also investigated on a 7-point scale. The monthly reports are downloaded from the Copyright Office of India to evaluate the status of the Copyright application and registration. WPS Spreadsheet is used for cleaning poorly structured data and is ready to perform statistical analysis with the help of JASP statistical software. The top 15 GDPs were examined for copyrights, related rights, and limitations using World Bank statistics and The GIPC International IP Index (8th Edition, 2020). The study findings revealed that, among the copyrightable work, literary and dramatic works obtained the most copyright applications and registrations in 2019 and 2017, respectively. Copyright applications and registrations correlated weakly (rp = 0.0634, p = 0.730). In the top 15 economies, the USA and UK ranked highest in GIPC Ranking (score=6.63 each).

This paper describes the accessibility results of two Indian OER initiatives: e-PG Pathshala (ePGP) (OCW) and SWAYAM (SwM) (MOOC) by using TAW accessibility checker. A targeted web-page of the websites is validated for errors, warnings and not reviewed under AAA conformance level of WCAG 2.1 guidelines. The outcomes are tabulated beginning with POUR (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable & Robust) principle following their guidelines where the accessibility of ePGP and SwM was compared. The statistical result shows that the overall number of problems appeared in the case of SwM is higher (i.e. 110) than ePGP (i.e. 101). Again, the results of the descriptive statistics revealed Mean =2.806 (ePGP) & 3.056 (SwM). The SD obtained were 3.241 (ePGP) & 4.472 (SwM). The Shapiro-Wilk Test for normality of data revealed non-normal data while the WCAG 2.1 POUR parameters were found to be positively correlated for ePGP and SwM (rs = 0.67, p <0.001).

Article 19 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), proclaimed by the United Nations ... more Article 19 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 (General Assembly resolution 217 A) as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations, reads "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers." The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has taken the initiative, IFLA/FAIFE (Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression), to defend and promote the basic human rights defined in Article 19 of the UN's UDHR. While such movements and initiatives are focused towards the citizens of the world, WIPO's Marrakesh VIP Treaty (MVT) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) cater to the requirements and rights of the persons with vision aberrations and other such bodily deficiencies, which deprives them from accessing information and knowledge, building a steeper and deeper knowledge divide. The present paper examines the relevant articles as mentioned in the MVT, encompassing the 'Accessible Format Copies' (AFC) for the visually disadvantaged. The paper also investigates the provision in the Indian Copyright Act. Various tools as technological interventions have also been discussed, including the Web browser screen readers. A brief discussion on the current status and its implications of WCAG have been also given for greater understanding in context with the theme of the paper.

The spirit and philosophy of Open Access are in sync with FAIFE owing to its visible role in sharing intellectual freedom for building information democracy. The present paper is dedicated to the new and emerging technology-driven tools for researchers and academicians to access or discover OA research more easily and effectively. The main focus of the paper is to introduce to the readers about the various technology-driven tools for effective and immediate Open Access (OA) research discovery. Under this objective, mission and services of the OA discovery system CORE has been explained. Another powerful tool for OA discovery and dissemination is OA Button which comes with the collaboration of unique service tools like, InstantILL, DeliverOA, EmbedOA, OAsheet and shareyourpaper. In addition to the above two tools, this study further discusses two more stand-alone tools namely, Dataverse and Zenodo. These tools are mainly familiar with their data archiving policies. Testing the features of these tools and describing their utility and application reveal that they can help the users as well as libraries in making effective use of OA resources without any delay while also enhancing the visibility of such scholarly resources.

The present study adopted a quantitative research design (Correlational as well as explanatory) to pursue the research questions and objectives for conducting the study. The data was collected from the research gate (RG) platform and 35 subjects were selected from the subject area and seven different types of variables were selected from each subject i.e., Posts, Questions, Publications, Articles, Preprints, Conference paper, Literature review. Various tests viz, Descriptive statistics, t-test, normality test and correlation, JASP software were performed for analysis of the data. The findings of the study reveal Findings of the study reveals the subject-wise status in different variables such as Statistics has the maximum number (4575) and Genealogy has the minimum number of posts (48) and so on. On the basis of the total content of the subject areas, the Literature review is (1%) followed by Preprints (5%), Questions (6%), Conference paper (7%), Posts (16%), Articles (65%). Publications possess maximum value while measuring central tendency (mean & median) & dispersion (std. deviation & std. error) and those are the minimum in the case of Literature Review. Publications, Preprints & Conference paper shows normal distribution (p>0.05) with low p-value, and the data-set for other four variables don’t possess a normal distribution (p<0.05). The statistics of the Student's t-test shows a maximum value in the case of ‘articles’ (viz. 50.19) and the ‘p’ value of all the variables taken to be <0.001 except literature review (i.e., 0.005). Among the 21 correlation types, 7 possess negative correlation value suggests the presence of no correlation between those variables. Whereas, the other 14 possess a positive correlation value ranges from 0.013 to 0.906 depending upon respective p-values.
