Abstract

Ethics is an important issue in business activities at the moment. This study is to find out how the application of Business Ethics in Sea Products Processing SMEs in Sukolilo Baru Village, Bulak District, Surabaya, especially in UKM Toko Risma. The type of research used is qualitative research. The focus of this research is the application of the principles of business ethics carried out by SMEs in Seafood Processing in Sukolilo Baru Village, Bulak District, Surabaya. The results of the Toko Risma  research have considered and applied several business ethics principles. Starting from the principle of autonomy, honesty, justice, mutual benefit, and moral integrity. Toko Risma does not use preservatives, the product only lasts about one month and for coloring it usually uses cake coloring that is safe for consumption. Keywords: Business Ethics, UKM, Toko Risma

Abstract

To achieve organizational goals, one of the things that managers need to do is to improve leadership and provide the driving force that results in,channeling, and maintaining employee behavior to be willing to work inaccordance with what the organization wants. The driving force is the motivationand discipline of work for employees. The problem raised in this study is the lackof clarity in making decisions and the lack of motivation and work disciplinegiven by the company to employees. This study aims to determine the effect ofleadership, motivation and work discipline on the Employee performance of UD.Agro Alam Raya in Nganjuk. This research uses descriptive research and quantitative approach. Thepopulation in the study was 50 employees of UD. Agro Alam Raya in Nganjuk.The sampling technique used is saturated sampling technique so that the samplingtechnique by taking all members of the population as respondents. Data iscollected by questionnaire which has been tested for validity and reliability. Thedata analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a simultaneousand partial influence between the variables of Leadership, Motivation and WorkDiscipline on Employee Performance UD. Abstract

The audit in financial statement is required to show the quality of financial statement in a company before being published on the market. The best audit opinion required by the market is the Unqualified Opinion, because it describes financial statement which is presented completely and independently from a material. The completeness of financial statement is very essential to provide a positive signal to the Market, so that the market place is able to give positive feedback. However, the market reaction is not always positive towards the Unqualified Opinion Publication. It is proven by the previous studies related to insignificant effect of Market Reaction toward Unqualified Opinion Publication. As the result, inconsistency is occured. Market Reaction can be measured by using Actual Return, Abnormal Return, and Trading Volume Activity toward Unqualified Opinion Publication. Furthermore, the study aims to find out the differences of Market Reaction before and after Unqualified Opinion Publication on Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) from 2017 to 2019. This is a Comparative Quantitative and Descriptive study with paired sample t- test for twenty days (ten days prior to publication and other ten days post-publication). The study takes the sample from ten companies that are suitable in term of the criteria. The result indicates insignificant difference of Market Reaction before and after Unqualified Opinion Publication in term of the significance value of Actual Return (0.835 > 0.05), Abnormal Return (0.122 > 0.05), and Trading Volume Activity (0.802 > 0.05). Thus, the overall significance value H0 is accepted, whereas, Ha is rejected. Moreover, mean of each variable shows a difference, however, it is categorized as low/ insignificant difference. After the hypothesis testing is applied, it reveals that there is no difference before and after Market Reaction of Unqualified Opinion Publication.

Abstract

The background of this research is city of Surabaya is famous with Kenjeran beach which has rich in marine products. Fishermen at Kenjeran beach get small and unique fish such as sea cucumber fish, lorjuk, eggplant, frozen fish, layur, shrimp, shark fin, and others. Fishermen on the Kenjeran beach exactly at New Sukolilo village has manage the results of his own sea. Most of the fisherman's produce is processed by the local Trading Company (Usaha Dagang) engaged in the processing of marine products. The research was conducted at UD Yanis, because UD Yanis is one of several UD of seafood processing in Sukolilo Village which has complete production permit. UD Yanis also process its own marine products, starting from the initial drying process until the finished product until packaging. The products that are the focus of researchers in the production process are crackers sea cucumber. This is due to crackers sea cucumber is a favorite product for consumers, regardless of the results of the sea season is not sea cucumbers. This study aims to answer the problem formulation that consists of (1) How is the production process conducted UD Yanis in processing sea products Keripuk Teripang in order to produce excellent products? (2) What are the constraints faced in the production process by UD Yanis in processing Sea Seaweed Crackers in order to produce excellent products? (3) How efficient production process as a solution for UD Yanis in managing sea cucumber crackers to produce excellent products? The type of research used in this study is explanatory research. Research approach in this research is qualitative approach. From the research results, it can be concluded that the attention in improving the processing of seafood can be done by producing efficiently and with good process. The simplicity of the production process resulted in reducing the amount of production that should be obtained. Increasing consumer demand, UD Yanis is required to increase its production output. From the constraints found, researchers develop the production process by updating existing tools with better quality. Some of the production tools include stainless steel pans, stoves made of steel and brass, and a large skillet made of steel plate. Because the growing process of production, will have an impact for the production of more sea cucumber crackers.

Abstract

This is a financial accounting study using the application of MYOB accounting in Yudi Motor micro business. The study aims to produce quality financial report according to the accounting principles. It uses descriptive qualitative method regarding the application of MYOB accounting through condensation data, presentation, conclusion, and verification. There are two informants in the analysis from the company owner and the financial staff. The results indicate that the informants have some difficulties in understanding accounting and applying MYOB accounting. Furthermore, the accounting cycle starts from general journal, ledger, and it produces financial report consisting of trial balance report, balance report, income statements and cash flow report. The finding concludes that two informants haven’t understood MYOB accounting manually and automatically. For this reason, the researcher educates them in compiling theoretical and practical accounting manually and automatically. As the result, two informants are able to understand the application well after the second assistance. Moreover, the study suggests the use of MYOB accounting application to process the financial data effectively and efficiently, and to produce quality financial report according to the accounting principles.

Abstract

A good corporate governance and financial leverage are necessary for a company. This study aims to determine the influence of good corporate governance and leverage towards the financial performance of food and beverage companies listed on the IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) in period (2013-2017). The supporting variable includes good corporate governance determined by the board of commissioner, the independent commissioner, the audit committee, and the managerial ownership, leverage through the DAR (Debt-Asset Ratio), and financial performances determined by ROA (Return on Assets). The study analyzes four companies based on purposive sampling. The technique of analysis uses multiple linear regression with the IBM SPSS statistic version 24. The result indicates that good corporate governance which determined by the board of director; the independent commissioner, the audit committee, the managerial ownership, and the leverage variable simultaneously have a significant effect on the company performance. Partially, the capacity of the board of commissioner, the independent commissioner, the audit committee, and the managerial do not have a significant influence in the company performance. Both of the independent commissioner and the leverage have a negative influence. However, independent commissioner significantly influenced the company financial performances, while the leverage doesn’t significantly influence it.

Abstract

The problems in online purchasing decisions those are made by someone on Shopee e-commerce can be influenced by the advertising creativity and the use of endorsers or the celebrity influencers are as promotional strategies. For this reason, Shopee e-commerce must have creative advertising concepts and choose the right endorser to be able to attract the consumers make online purchases on Shopee e-commerce, it is especially for millennials who are considered the people who make the most purchases online. This study aims to describe how the influence of Advertising Creativity and Shopee Endorser on Online Purchase Decisions in E-Commerce on Business Administration Students, Hang Tuah University of Surabaya. The research method that is used in this study, it is quantitative with the data analysis that is used in the form of statistics/quantitative or numbers. The results showed In accordance with the results of the calculation of the variable regression coefficient, the constants of each Advertising Creativity (X1) and Endorser (X2) variables show a positive value, thus there is a unidirectional effect between these variables and Purchase Decisions (Y) on Shopee e-commerce. In accordance with the results of the multiple correlation test (R) shows the result that is 0.842 and guided by the correlation coefficient 0.90-1000 = very strong, thus it can be concluded that there is a very strong relationship between Advertising Creativity (X1) and Endorser (X2) variables on Purchase Decisions (Y) on Shopee e-commerce. The results of the t-test and f-test together show that the results of each variable simultaneously and partially have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision (Y) on Shopee e-commerce.

Abstract

The background of this research is the compensation policy of a company's  performance  helped  determine  the  direction  of  its  employees  to support the company's goals. Compensation is one of the important factors to be able to attract potential employees. Work motivation is also another factor that must be considered in addition to compensation for employees of the company to realize the goals of the organization, the following job satisfaction. Those three things are important factors in the company to support employee performance. This study aimed to examine the effect of compensation on work motivation, job satisfaction, and performance of employees on permanent employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia in Lawang, Malang. Formulated several hypotheses of the study are (1) Is compensation a significant effect on work motivation? (2) Is compensation a  significant effect on job satisfaction? (3) Is  compensation a significant effect on the performance of the employee? (4) Is the work motivation have  a  significant  effect  on  job  satisfaction?  (5)  Is  a  significant  effect  on employee motivation employee performance ?, (6) Is job satisfaction significantly influence employee performance ?. This research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The technique of collecting data from questionnaires and interviews. Research methods to process the data using path analysis. Based on the results of the study found a significant effect of compensation on employee motivation PT. Otsuka Indonesia, there is a significant effect of compensation on employee job satisfaction of  PT.  Otsuka  Indonesia, there is  a  significant influence on  the performance of the compensation of employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia, there is a significant effect of work motivation on employee job satisfaction of PT. Otsuka Indonesia, there is a significant influence on the performance of the work motivation of employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia, and found no significant effect of job satisfaction on the performance of employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia. Employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia are already satisfied with the salary he got in a long time felt it would be a regular thing. So prone to reduced performance, because by working casual or work hard to remain earned his salary by the same amount. Employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia also feel responsibility for the work carried out so far have not been entirely in accordance with his ability means that the principle of "the right man on the right place" has not been felt by the employees of PT. Otsuka Indonesia. Interesting work and the work has not felt like a hobby for PT. Otsuka Indonesia as yet incompatibility refers to the responsibility of the employee's ability to be felt.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze brand image, promotion, and price simultaneously with the reasons for using the GrabFood application in Surabaya, to analyze brand image and promotion separately with the reasons for using the GrabFood application in Surabaya, to analyze prices and prices separately for reasons of use. applications, and to analyze brand image and promotion simultaneously by using the application. The type of analysis used is quantitative analysis with the help of the SPSS 23 package for Windows. Each GrabFood application user in Surabaya is the sample population in this survey, and there are around 150 respondents. The type of data used is the source of the respondents. The data collection method used a Google Form questionnaire. The result of this study indicate that Brand Image, Promotion, and Price are positively and significantly correlated with the desire of Surabaya residents to use the GrabFood application.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Work family conflict dan Stres Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan wanita pada PT. Araya Bangun Sarana. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa karyawan wanita yang ada di PT. Araya Bangun Sarana terdapat indikasi mengalami Work family conflict dan stres kerja yang terlihat pada indikator strain-based conflict dan umpan balik yang memiliki skor terendah pada kuesioner. Adapun metode pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sensus (jumlah sampel diambil secara keseluruhan jumlah populasi). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, serta uji asumsi klasik, uji F, koefisien determinasi, uji t dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel Work family conflict tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar (P Value) 0,076 > 0,05. Selanjutnya variabel stres kerja tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar (P Value) 0,425 > 0,05. Secara simultan variabel Work family conflict dan stres kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan yakni dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar (P Value) sebesar 0,187 > 0,05. Koefisien Determinasi (R2) yang dihasilkan sebesar 0,117 atau 11,7%. Koefisien Korelasi Berganda (R) yang dihasilkan sebesar 0,342. Hasil ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi antara variabel independen dengan variabel dependen memiliki hubungan korelasi yang rendah dengan nilai 0,342.
