Figure 1: Matlab/Simulink design flow process for the DTC SVPWM performance is analysed to demonstrate the effectiveness of direct torque control based space vector pulse width modulation technique and strategy for speed and torque control of a three-phase alternating current induction motor. As shown in figure 1, the simulation model of the whole system is built using the Matlab/Simulink software. The whole flow diagram process invokes the corresponding parameters and block diagram and is run by aclosed loop system design. Analysis, creativity and critical thinking takes place during the design and development of the direct torque control based space vector pulse width modu ation of a two level inverter fed three phase alternating current induction motor. Computer simulation results and the who e performance and behavior of the system are examined. The design for the direct torque control based space vector machine is shown in figure 2. pulse width modulation state The speed reference and load torque sets the initial states. The speed controller supplies the necessary flux and torque to the direct torque control space vector pulse width modulation controller which performs complex calculations for the switching frequency to feed the gates of three phase thyristor inverter.

The DC bus voltage have high ripple voltage at a maximum rotor speed condition of 500 rpm and an electromagnetic torque of 792 N.m caused by high speed sector changes and variable switching frequency. The alternating current induction motor then is set to decelerate its speed from 500 rpm to 0 rpm from 1 sec onwards decelerates linearly and very fast from 1 sec to 1.5 sec reducing its rpm speed. The stator current seems to widen wavelength or pulse width and the electromagnetic torque decreases load value stretching from 792 N.m down to 500 N.m from 1 sec to 1.5 sec up to a stable and final value of -792 N.m as it reaches its final state set by load torque reference. The DC bus voltage has some visible transient in preparation to switching into steady state from 1.5 sec to 1.7 sec and becomes stable at 1.7 sec onwards into 640 Vims. The measurement of machine terminal response for the switch voltages and switch currents in six sectors is obtained for the three phase diode rectifier. The measurements of the current and voltage switch are also obtained for the three phase thyristor inverter in six sectors. Three phase voltage response has been added in the measurement both for rectifier and inverter. The voltage switch response of the three phase diode rectifier for Usw1, Usw2, Usw3, Usw4, Usw5 and Usw6 is measured around -640V AC and the starting point is 0V continuously running at a finite time until extemal power supply is shut down. The power diodes respond very fast at switching frequency and hence the pulse width is very slim and not visible.
