Quantitative study methods to use for analysis. The study population includes all students and faculty members of the Liaquat University Hospital, and the simple random sampling technique was used. Primary data collected through an adapted questionnaire. SPSS 20 software were used to analyze the tests like; validity and reliability, Cronbach's alpha, descriptive and inferential statistics paired t-test and test. Result of validity and reliability was 0.82 and 0.92. Social marketing intervention has significantly increased on the average knowledge and attitude of the target population. The change of awareness in the dimension of accessibility (3.3), cost of participation, and communication also increased significantly. The lack of awareness about the role of medical library services leads to reduced. Social marketing is an appropriate way of information to users regarding services and resources creates a positive attitude among the health communities. According to the libraries' social role, social marketing is an appropriate way to inform library users and helps to create a positive attitude among the country's health community.

The present study aims to unravel the research work on Deepfake around the globe and sensitize people to how gravely this new technology is impacting people. A Scientometrics analysis of Deepfake publications output provides a comprehensive overview of the subject matter,
highlighting the growth patterns and their impact on individuals and society. The data for the present study was collected from the Web of Science database from 2019 to 2023. 341 publications (journal articles) have been retrieved on “Deepfake.” The total global citations of the publication are 2638 with 7.74 average citations per publication having an “H-index of 23”. The highest number of publications 140 (41.935%) was published in the year 2023. Lu W is the most productive author with
7 publications (2.053%) with 46 citations, whereas Fierrez, Julian has published one (01) publication and received the highest 179 citations. Most of the 122 articles were published in ‘Engineering and Electrical Electronics.’ The People’s Republic of China has contributed the highest number of publications, i.e., 125 (36.657%) of the total global outputs with 682 citations, followed by the US with 57 (16.716%) publications having 802 citations. Wuhan University Faculty of Information Sciences & Wuhan University School of Cyber Science and Engineering publish the highest numbers of papers, 10 (2.933%) each. The present study aims to unravel the research work on Deepfake around the globe and sensitize people to how gravely this new technology is impacting people.

The study aims to understand the research support services the college libraries offer to their stakeholders. These libraries provide E-Resources in their specific domain and various research tools to enhance the quality of research publications and support research culture in the higher education institutions. The researchers collected data from the working professionals through a structured questionnaire a Total of 150 questionnaires were distributed to various professional and academic college libraries in Karnataka and received 120 (80%) filled in questionnaires and analysed the data. MS-Excel is used for the analysis of the collected data and revealed the corresponding implications. Citation databases such as Scopus / WoS databases is provided by 26% colleges,
20% of the colleges are providing New Arrivals information to its users and 24% of the libraries are providing library orientation programme to its users. This article holds a thorough study of research support services in the higher education institutions of Karnataka. The findings of the study will help to improve the quality-based library services to promote research productivity.

This study presents a bibliometric assessment of the research productivity of the Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Goa, from 2019 - 2023. The research performance assessment uses research publication data obtained from the Scopus database. Collected data were analysed to
identify research productivity year-wise growth of research, type of publications, top ten journals, highly cited authors, authorship pattern, and degree of collaboration. 18% of the publications of the Goa Institute of Management is published in Journal of Cleaner Production, having an h-index  of 268, and published by Elsevier publications from the United Kingdom. 0.89 is the overall degree of collaboration from 2019 to 2023. The study presents an informative and useful account of the assessment of the research work of GIM.

An attempt has been made in this study to analyze research publications of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) for the period of fifteen years from 2009 - 2023. The bibliographic data for this study was extracted from the Web of Science database. A total 803 publications were extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) Core collection by applying search option Affiliation - “Tata Institute of Social Sciences” and further refined the results by applying ‘Language’, “English”, thereafter the data is considered for analysis during the period under the study. The study examined the year-wise research publications, types of document, preferred journals for publication, prolific author etc. The statistical tools; ‘MS-Excel’ and VOSviewer have been applied for the analysis and data visualizations. The research findings indicate that the growth of literature pattern is linear, and journals articles (625) are the most preferred form of publications by the researchers tocommunicate their research output. Pandya S P is found to be the most prolific author and the Indian Journal of Social Work is the most preferred Journal. The majority of the publications (119) are observed in the year 2021 and the highest numbers of citations (1715) are found in the year 2022. The Public Environmental Occupational Health (128) was the most prominent research area during the study period. The results of the study reveals ‘Top 10’ highly cited papers in Web of Science (WoS)database. Based on the WoS data it is suggestedthat the TISS community need to make more efforts to publish in journals that are indexed by WoS to get more visibility.

Equity across academic disciplines is taken for granted in contemporary business schools. The status of a discipline is crucial for such fairness. One might assume, therefore, that IS scholars are treated fairly during tenure and promotion processes when compared to scholars from other business school academic fields. In fact, this may not be the case. The playing field used by business academic disciplines may not be level. This study addresses three questions related to this issue. The first asks whether there is a level playing field for publication among the various business disciplines, and second, assuming an unlevel playing field, what are the relative productivity differences between dissemination of scientific results among these disciplines? The third question is how could the playing field be leveled, assuming it is not at the present time. To answer these questions, existing data sources were tapped, one of these containing well over 18,000 data points. Further, original data was gathered from U.S. business schools, and all the data was analyzed in relation to AACSB data on the relative sizes of business school disciplines. Given our finding that the playing field is not level, the differences between the IS discipline and four other disciplines -Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing -are examined, and the consequences of the disadvantage to the IS discipline are discussed. The article concludes with recommendations of actions to level the field, and these are presented as a challenge to leaders in the Information Systems discipline.

While many studies have assessed IS researcher-production, most have focused on either ranking IS journals or assessing prolific researchers using a restricted time frame and a small "basket" of journals (i.e., those journals selected for sampling). We found no research that has assessed the IS specificity of journals (i.e., the suitability of journals for publishing IS research) nor any that evaluated IS researcher-production measures. Based on a coding of over 26,000 articles and more than 1,900 authors, this study attempts such an evaluation by (1) determining the rate of publication of IS researchers in 58 journals perceived by at least one IS institution as IS specific, (2) profiling prolific and typical IS researchers using descriptive statistics, (3) evaluating the convergent validity of various researcher-production measures, (4) assessing the reliability of these researcher-production measures by varying baskets of

Aim: This bibliometric study aimed to assess various attributes of documents published in the Health Information and Libraries Journal (HILJ) from 2001 to 2020. Design/Methodology: This was a retrospective study, performed on the publications output of HILJ from 2001 to 2020. The dataset was extracted from Elsevier's Scopus database. The retrieved data were evaluated on the following bibliometric parameters; to examine the periodic growth of publications and citations, to analyze the authorship and collaboration patterns, to point out the productive authors, countries, most-cited documents, frequently used keywords and flow of knowledge. All types of documents were included for scrutiny, the documents published in 2021 were excluded as the year was not yet over. The data analysis was done by using the Microsoft Excel, VOSviewer, and Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS). Results: A total of 920 papers were identified in the targeted period with a Standard Error of Means (SEM) of 46±2.48, and an average annual growth rate of 4.96. These documents gained 12,107 citations (SEM 605.35±141.77) with an average of 13.16 citations per document. The number of documents per year was varied from 34 to 68. The open accessed documents received a higher ratio of citations as compared to subscription-based documents. A positive correlation was found between the number of authors and citations. Two author pattern was dominated and about 75% of the documents consisted of articles type but the review papers got higher citation impact. The study found that the authors belonged to 130 countries contributed and 46.63% (n=429) of the total paper were contributed by the United Kingdom. The University of Sheffield and Andrew Booth were found the most prolific institution and author, respectively. The present bibliometric study has demonstrated the significant findings, which help to map the research inclinations and potentially guides to the LIS professionals serving in medical libraries. HILJ has published substantial literature on health sciences librarianship contributed by 1,535 authors belonged to 113 countries of the world during the last two decades. The United Kingdom has been found a most productive country in terms of publications, while the United States on the top in citing the literature of HILJ.

Aim: This study is aimed to evaluate the bibliometric parameters of the literature published in the Pakistan Journal of Information Management and Libraries (PJIM&L) for the period of 2010 to 2019 and indexed in the Scopus database. The retrospective method has been applied to the dataset that was downloaded from the Scopus-Elsevier database on 5 th January 2021. Two source titles PJIM&L, and its earlier version "Pakistan Journal of Library and Information Science", were selected and all the available bibliographic records of publications were downloaded in Comma Separated Value (CSV) file for analysis. The data was examined by chronological order, by the pattern of authorship and enlist the productive authors, further distribution of documents by affiliated country, keywords occurrence and most cited papers were presented. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to calculate the Mean and Standard Error of Means and the VOSviewer software was applied to visualize the keywords occurrence and author's productivity. Results: A total of 96 papers were identified by the Scopus database published in PJIM&L between 2010 to 2019 with an average of 9.6 papers per year with an average annual growth rate of 44.89. These papers were written by 127 authors and most of the papers (n=37; 40.21%) were written by a two-author pattern. Kanwal Ameen has emerged as a most productive author and most of the papers were contributed by the authors who belonged from Lahore and University of the Punjab found a productive institution. The research contributions from 15 foreign countries showed that international authors have trust in the credibility of the journal. Top-cited papers with their number of citations in Scopus and Google Scholar have been identified. PJIM&L is a reputed and internationally recognized LIS journal. The citation analysis showed that its papers are being cited regularly worldwide. There is a need to change the frequency of publications from annual to biannual to attract more researchers.

Aim: Research publications have been increasing all around the world in every field of knowledge including medical microbiology. The attempt has been made in this paper to describe the growth of medical microbiology research in Pakistan published from 2013 to 2017. Publications on medical microbiology with authorship to Pakistan indexed in the PubMed database were searched. The bibliographical citations of retrieved data were downloaded to examine the year-wise growth, authorship patterns, subject-wise distributions, institutional and country affiliation of the principal author. Microsoft Excel spreadsheet was used for data analysis. Results: Three hundred and thirty-three documents with an average of 66.6 articles per year published from Pakistan during the projected period. Majority of papers (n=30; 9%) were written on the topic of epidemiology related to medical microbiology. Five-author pattern found to be the preferred collaboration trend. The evaluation of leading author affiliation revealed that 202 papers (60.6%) produced by Pakistani authors, while in remaining 131 (39.3%) papers, the principal authors belonged to 29 different countries of the world. Aga Khan University found a most productive institution with 35 papers. Targeted publications published in 175 different journals of the world, the highest number of articles (n=24; 7.21%) published in Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences. High tech research has a direct impact on the health and wellbeing of citizens. The analysis of research publications is important to scale to assess the productivity of a specific field of knowledge. Saudi Arabian researchers are striving well to achieve excellence in dental research by delivering quality education and provision of oral health care services to local community.

The study aimed to evaluate the characteristics of the 100 most-cited articles published in the electronic journal Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP). Bibliometric studies to determine the attributes of the most-cited articles in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) journals are deficient. The current study was conducted to fill this gap. We conducted a retrospective bibliometric analysis of the 100 most-cited articles of the LPP retrieved from Elsevier's Scopus database on 31st December 2020. The data was downloaded on Microsoft Excel Sheet for analysis. For comparison, the citations of data these articles were taken from Google Scholar during the first week of January 2021. The dataset was analyzed on the bibliometric indicators of citation impact, chronological distribution, authorship pattern, institutional and geographical affiliations of authors and, subject dispersion. The 100 most-cited articles of the LPP were published between the years 2001-2018 and these articles gained 1,678 and 8,158 citations in the Scopus and Google Scholar, respectively. The findings revealed that Nigeria (n=44), Delta State University of Nigeria (n=6), and Khalid Mahmood (n=4) were recognized as the most productive country, organization, and author, respectively. The single-author pattern was dominated (n=50) and "Electronic Resources" and "Library Services" were found as preferred areas of research. The article entitled, "Knowledge Management as an important tool in Organisational Management: A Review of Literature" by Omotayo, F. O. (2015) was found most influential in the Scopus database. The LPP is an open-access journal that provides a platform for LIS professionals to share their innovative ideas and findings of original research with the rest of the world. This paper's findings can help to understand the research trends and bibliometric markers of the highly-cited articles in the LIS field. Value/Originality: This is the first study on the 100 most-cited articles in the LIS field. Further, this kind of research can replicate to any subject category of LIS and other journals to determine the characteristics of the most-cited papers.

The aim of this study is to present the bibliometric analysis of papers published in Radiologic Clinic of North America (RCNA) from 2000 to 2019. Design/Methodology: The Elsevier's Scopus database was used as a source to retrieve the bibliographic records published from 2000 to 2019. The data was evaluated on the following parameters, growth of publications and their citation impact by year, most contributing institutions and countries, productive authors, authorship patterns, mostcited papers, frequently used keywords and flow of knowledge. Only original and review articles were used for analysis, other types of documents were excluded. Microsoft Excel, SPSS and VOSviewer software were used for data analysis. A fluctuation was detected in the number of publications. A total of 1,401 papers were selected, of whom 1,241 (88.57%) were review articles and 160 (11.42%) were research articles. The mean and standard deviation (SD) scores of papers were 70 and 6.15 respectively. All selected papers received 34,145 citations with a mean score of 24.37 citations per paper (SD 1019.55). The study found that all top-10 contributing institutions belonged to the USA and the USA was also found most productive country. Out of the ten-most productive authors, nine were affiliated with USA and two-author pattern found a most preferred pattern. The finding of this study exposed that the USA is the most productive country in terms of authors, institutions and even in citing the literature of RCNA.

The study aims to present a profile of orthodontics research carried out by Saudi Arabian affiliated authors. Method: This retrospective study was carried out at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. The Web of Science, Clarivate Analytics database was used to obtain the targeted data-set on April 28, 2019. Keyword "Orthodontic" was used in the main search term and the Address option "Saudi Arabia" was written. All the records published up to December 31, 2018, included except letters and notes. The data has been analyzed by using bibliometric indicators, like year-wise distribution and growth; journal's name, its publishing country and impact factor; national productive organization, international research collaborative institutions, productive authors and list of top cited articles. Microsoft Excel spreadsheet was used for data analysis. Results: A total of 302 papers have been identified by Web of Science on Orthodontics with authorship affiliated to Saudi Arabia. These papers published during 24 years with an average of 12.58 papers per year. These publications received 1,348 citations with an average of 4.46 citations per paper. Majority of papers (n=265; 87.74%) published in the 109 international journals. One hundred and four papers published in 33 journals published from the United States. Top 15 productive organizations of Saudi Arabia, top international research collaborative organizations and productive authors have been calculated. Journals' impact factor and their publications have also been discussed. Citation pattern of open access and subscription-based publication reveals that open access publications have less number of citations. Upwards trendy of orthodontics research publications found in the recent past. Local researchers should be motivated to cite locally published literature to improve the citation impact of local literature. Research productivity would be increased by opening more postgraduate dental institutes in Saudi Arabia.

The retrospective method has been applied in this study to assess the attributes of bibliographical records of the documents produced by Dr. Hayat. Elsevier's Scopus database was used to extract the required dataset on the 28 th of October 2020. The required features of the dataset of all types of published papers were downloaded for analysis. The five bibliometric indicators of the dataset wereevaluated, the publications and citations ratio by year, segregation of documents by subjects, frequently used channels for publications, distribution of research collaboration by country and top-ranked co-authors. Microsoft Excel was used for the tabulated pattern and graphic interpretation, and SPSS software was used to calculate the SEM of publications and citations. Results: A total of 2,374 documents were found on the credit of Dr. Hayat on the data freezing date. Although there has been a fluctuation in the number of papers by year, overall there is a remarkable growth. The impact of quality is reflected by the number of citations that recorded 29.28 citations/doc. In the subject categories, Physics & Astronomy, Engineering and Mathematics were found the favorite areas of research. Results in Physics and Journal of Molecular Liquids are listed in top the two most preferred channels of communication having the impact factor 4.019 and 5.065 with 119 and 105 publications respectively. Pakistan has been on the first ranked in the affiliated country statement of Dr. Hayat and his co-author, followed by Saudi Arabia (n=1921), China (n=704), United States (n=106) and United Kingdom (n=96). Malaysian higher education institutions aim to improve their reputation and visibility by focusing on research publications. Consequently, they face complexity in motivating research productivity compared to the high demand for academic research output and diversity of academics. This paper aims to fill the knowledge gap in investigating the dynamics of research productivity through the interplay of psychological needs satisfaction (PNS) to share knowledge, research orientation, and desire for recognition as intrinsic motivators. This quantitative research surveyed academics (N=310) in public and private Malaysian universities and data was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that both research orientation and desire for recognition play a critical role in motivating academics' research productivity. Additionally, the study demonstrates that when academics perceive their psychological needs as satisfied, they engage in knowledge-sharing behavior (KSB), which positively affects research productivity, though not as significantly as previously assumed. The study contributes to the literature as pioneering research investigated the role of research orientation, and desire for recognition in motivating academics' research productivity. It widens the decision makers awareness in higher education institutions to understand the intrinsic motivations of research productivity that motivate them to develop research productivity policies.

This paper explores the effect of commercial farmers-academic researchers linkages on research productivity in fields related to agriculture. Using original data and econometric analysis, our findings show a positive and significant relationship between intensive linkages with a small number of commercial farmers and research productivity, when this is defined as publications in ISI journals. This evidence seems contrary to other contributions that argue that strong ties with the business sector reduce research productivity and distort the original purposes of university, i.e., conducting basic research and preparing highly-trained professionals. When research productivity is defined more broadly adding other types of research outputs, the relationship is also positive and significant confirming the argument that close ties between public research institutions and businesses foster the emergence of new ideas that can be translated into innovations with commercial and/or social value. Another important finding is that researchers in public institutions produce several types of research outputs; therefore, measuring research productivity only by published ISI papers misses important dimensions of research activities.

The objective of this study is to conduct a meta-review analysis of the human-computer interaction (HCI) literature by investigating research productivity and conducting a citation analysis of individuals, institutions, and countries. The meta-analysis focuses on the three leading peer-reviewed, refereed journals in this area: International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Computer Interaction, and Behavior and Information Technology. Results indicate that research productivity is exploding and that there are several leading authors and foundation publications that are referenced regularly.

Background The world is witnessing new public health crises due to the emergence of the novel coronavirus. This study aims to present a bibliometric analysis of research on coronavirus-related physical/social distancing. Design and methods In this study, a bibliometric analysis was applied to see the research productivity and its impact on coronavirus- related physical/social distancing. For this purpose, Scopus was used to retrieve the data for the analysis. A total of 2900 records was downloaded from the database for analysis. Results The findings revealed that the top four authors published their research in the year 2020. The study ranked the British Medical Journal (BMJ) at the top position on publishing the research on the topic. Similarly, the USA took the lead in all countries in producing research on the topic. Secondary analysis was performed of data collected in 1989 from a random sample of members of the Medical Library Association. Results show that about half the sample had at least one publication; academic health sciences librarians were much more likely than hospital librarians to have published. Almost half the sample had taken formal courses in research, but only a small percentage had taken continuing education (CE) courses in research. Institutional support services for research were most available in academic settings. The combination of institutional support, CE training, and research courses explained 31.1% of the variation in research productivity among academic librarians; these factors were less important in hospitals and other institutional settings. The authors suggest that health sciences librarians working outside academia should seek support for research from sources outside the employing institution.

This secondary analysis of data, collected between 1987 and 1992 in a study of an elite group of academic scientists who had received prestigious postdoctoral fellowships, sought to assess differences in reported experiences of structural obstacles by cohort. The sample consisted of 23 women: 10 who had earned doctorates before 1970, 7 who had earned their doctorates between 1970 and 1979, and 6 who had earned doctorates in 1980 or after. Secondary analysis of the original questionnaire and interview data suggested differences and similarities among the three cohorts on three dimensions--perceived obstacles, perceived supports, and the compatibility of marriage, family, and career. Women in the earlier cohorts mentioned encountering structural obstacles more frequently than did women in later cohorts, and they almost exclusively pointed to a father or other male as being influential in their career choice. A majority of married women reported that marriage had a positive impact on their careers. The report concludes that birth cohort, rather than doctoral cohort, may be a more valid indicator of differences in attitudes and experiences related to compatibility of family and career. This paper probed the issues and changelogs related to the preservation of digital contents. A literature-based approach was adopted to identify the major problems related to the preservation of these unique contents. After studying the literature, it was identified that basic principles that should be kept in mind while preserving digital contents are longevity, selection, quality, integrity, and accessibility. It was found that the most critical problems and challenges faced during the digital preservation including nature of the contents keeping the data, maintaining trust in the data, coping with the data deluge, technological obsolescence, media fragility, lack of expert and copyright & intellectual property right issues, etc. It was concluded that the libraries, archives, and information centers should be equipped with ICT facilities, and the staff has the necessary skills to handle the management of digital resources and their preservation. Moreover, sufficient funds should be allocated for the procurement and preservation of digital objects.

We report a puzzling pair of facts concerning the organization of science. The concentration of research output is declining at the department level but increasing at the individual level. For example, in evolutionary biology, over the period 1980 to 2000, the fraction of citation-weighted publications produced by the top 20% of departments falls from approximately 75% to 60% but over the same period rises for the top 20% of individual scientists from 70% to 80%. We speculate that this may be due to changing patterns of collaboration, perhaps caused by the rising burden of knowledge and the falling cost of communication, both of which increase the returns to collaboration. Indeed, we report evidence that the propensity to collaborate is rising over time. Furthermore, the nature of collaboration is also changing. For example, the geographic distance as well as the difference in institution rank between collaborators is increasing over time. Moreover, the relative size of the pool of potential distant collaborators for star versus non-star scientists is rising over time. We develop a simple model based on star advantage in terms of the opportunities for collaboration that provides a unified explanation for these facts. Finally, considering the effect of individual location decisions of stars on the overall distribution of human capital, we speculate on the efficiency of the emerging distribution of scientific activity, given the localized externalities generated by stars on the one hand and the increasing returns to distant collaboration on the other.

We report evidence indicating that Bitnet adoption facilitated increased research collaboration between US universities. However, not all institutions benefited equally. Using panel data from seven top engineering journals, Bitnet connection records, and a variety of institution ranking data, we find that medium-ranked universities were the primary beneficiaries; they benefited largely by increasing their collaboration with top-ranked schools. Furthermore, we find that the magnitude of this effect was greatest for co-located pairs. These results suggest that the most salient effect of lowering communication costs may have been to facilitate gains from trade through the specialization of research tasks. Thus, the advent of Bitnet --and likely subsequent versions, including the Internet --seems to have increased the role of second-tier universities in the national innovation system as producers of new, high-quality knowledge.

This study examined the influence of self-concept on library services used by disabled students in Federal Universities in South-West Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research design. The population comprises 302 disabled students in Federal Universities in South-West, Nigeria. Total enumeration technique was used. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The instrument was tested for reliability, yielding Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranging from 0.74 to 0.86. Descriptive & inferential Statistics were used to analyze the data. This study's findings revealed that most respondents considered user education and consultancy services the most frequent library services used. Using library services was to carry out research and read their notebooks. The level of the respondents' self-concept was high and positive. The study concluded that self-concept influenced library services use by disabled students. The study recommended that there is a need for Federal University Libraries to lay more emphasis on current awareness services.

This study reports productivity of authors, universities, and countries using research contributions to top hospitality and tourism journals. The impact factor has emerged as the most popular index of scientific journals' resonance. In this study we aimed to examine the impact factor trends of journals published by scientific bodies in the United States of America (USA) and Europe (EU). We randomly chose 11 categories of Journal of Citation Reports and created three research classes: clinical medicine, laboratory medicine, and basic science. The impact factor values for the years 1999-2015 were abstracted, and the impact factor of US and EU journals was studied through the years. Results: A total of 265 journals were included in the final analysis. The impact factor of US journals was higher than that of EU journals throughout the study period. In addition, for both US and EU journals the median impact factor increased throughout the study period. The rate of annual change in the impact factor throughout the study period was lower for US than EU journals (1.85% versus 3.55%, P=0.019). A higher median annual increase was seen in the impact factor during the period 1999-2008 compared to the period 2009-2015 for both US (P<0.001) and EU (P=0.001) journals. In fact, during the second period the US Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal 2 April 2018  Volume 9  Issue 2  e0012 median impact factor value did not show significant changes (P=0.31), while the EU median impact factor continued to increase (P<0.001). The impact factor of EU journals increased at a significantly higher rate than and approached that of the US journals during the last 16 years.

As open science mandates gain traction globally, academic institutions are increasingly turning to academic librarians to provide essential data management support. This paper investigates the relationship between academic librarians' data management competencies and the research productivity and open science compliance of university faculty. Drawing on recent literature and survey-based analysis, the study highlights how librarians' technical proficiency, policy knowledge, and collaborative roles influence institutional outcomes. Findings suggest a positive correlation between advanced librarian competencies and increased faculty compliance and research output. The study recommends structured professional development for librarians as a strategic investment to enhance open science practices across universities.

, we examined the number of endowed faculty positions in academic departments of Emergency Medicine (ADEMs). Objective: We sought to survey ADEMs regarding the number of endowed faculty positions and compare the results to the 2004 and 2009 studies. Methods: A survey was e-mailed to the chairs of all ADEMs belonging to the Association of Academic Chairs of Emergency Medicine. We requested information on the following: the number of endowed chair and professorship positions; the amount required to fund; the amount allowed to be spent annually; the date established; and the source of funding. Results: Eighty-nine chairs responded (100% response rate). Nineteen chairs reported 1 endowed chair position. One chair reported 2 such positions, and 2 chairs reported 3 positions. One chair reported 4 positions. In total, 23 ADEMs (25.8%) reported 31 endowed chair positions. For endowed professorships, 8 chairs reported 1 professorship each. Four chairs replied that they had 2 positions each and 2 chairs reported 3 positions each. A total of 14 ADEMS (15.7%) reported having 22 endowed professorships. The most common amount required to fund an endowed chair position was $2 million, and $1 million for an endowed professorship. The majority of ADEMs were allowed to spend 4% to 5% of the value of the endowment annually. Conclusion: Thirty ADEMs (33.7%) currently have an endowed position, compared to only 19 (26%) 5 years ago. Emergency Medicine now has a total of 53 endowed positions, compared to only 25 such positions in 2009 and just 9 endowed positions in 2004.

Objective: This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis and scientific visualization of the contribution made by Iranians' authors in the Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP) from 2006 to 2019. This bibliometric analysis used Scopus database for retrieving data on all papers published by Iranians in LPP during the study time span. VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel software packages were used for data analysis.

Reaching 25 years or more is a significant achievement and milestone for the International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Administration. This editorial note follows a bibliometric analysis of 584 papers published since the first issue in 2000. The evolution of the journal, along with its trends and topics of published manuscripts, provides a valuable perspective for identifying future research areas and encourages scholars from underrepresented fields to further conceptualize and critically appraise the notion of "administration," which is central to the journal's core scope.

Many governments have placed priority on excellence in higher education as part of their policy agendas. Processes for recruitment and career advancement in universities thus have a critical role. The efficiency of faculty selection processes can be evaluated by comparing the subsequent performance of competition winners against that of the losers and the pre-existing staff of equal academic rank. Our study presents an empirical analysis concerning the recruitment procedures for associate professors in the Italian university system. The results of a bibliometric analysis of the hard science areas reveal that new associate professors are on average more productive than the incumbents. However a number of crucial concerns emerge, in particular concerning occurrence of non-winner candidates that are more productive than the winners over the subsequent triennium, and cases of winners that are completely unproductive. Beyond the implications for the Italian case, the analysis offers considerations for all decisionmakers regarding the ex post evaluation of the efficiency of the recruitment process and the desirability of providing selection committees with bibliometric indicators in support of evaluation (i.e. informed peer review).

The COVID-19 pandemic has a massive influence upon the working environments of scholars globally. In this paper, we investigate how the changing conditions under which individuals work because of various restrictions have inuenced the productivity of scholars based on a global sample of 1073 scholars from 83 countries. The findings show that tourism and non-tourism scholars react in similar ways to the changes in the social and physical environment of the pandemic with one exception: teleworking stressors positively affected all scholars&#39; perceived safety and did not impact tourism scholarly productivity. Tourism and non-tourism researchers&#39; productivity had also a positive relationship with social isolation and perceived safety. Additionally, perceived safety mediated the relationship between the psychological factors and scientic production. BACKGROUND: Ethics is one of the main pillars in the development of science. We performed a JoinPoint regression analysis to analyze the trends of ethical issue research over the past half century. The question is whether ethical issues are neglected despite their importance in modern research. METHOD: PubMed electronic library was used to retrieve publications of all fields and ethical issues. JoinPoint regression analysis was used to identify the significant time trends of publications of all fields and ethical issues, as well as the proportion of publications on ethical issues to all fields over the past half century. Annual percent changes (APC) were computed with their 95% confidence intervals, and a p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS: We found that publications of ethical issues increased during the period of 1965-1996 but slightly fell in recent years (from 1996 to 2013). La comunicación es una disciplina relativamente joven en el mundo académico, al menos en comparación con otras, si bien goza de una presencia notable en la universidad, tanto en España como en el resto del mundo. Por este motivo, resulta pertinente examinar cómo es la investigación en este campo. Este trabajo pretende aportar algunos datos sobre la presencia de la mujer en la investigación en comunicación realizada en las universidades españolas con estudios reglados de titulaciones de grado y postgrado en comunicación durante los últimos años. Para ello se han analizado dos indicadores: la presentación de tesis doctorales y el liderazgo en Proyectos I+D financiados por convocatorias estatales. El marco temporal para el análisis es el período 2007-2013. En ese periodo hemos estudiado un total de 977 tesis doctorales -de las que 492 fueron presentadas por mujeres-, y 143 proyectos de investigación que obtuvieron financiación en convocatorias estatales de I+D, 43 de los cuales tuvieron a una mujer como investigadora principal. Para ello se ha usado la información recogida en la base de datos del proyecto de investigación Mapcom (www.mapcom.es). Se ha empleado como metodología la estadística descriptiva, a fin de presentar cuáles son los rasgos relativos a los objetos, perspectivas y métodos de investigación dominantes en los dos elementos considerados. Este trabajo, de índole exploratoria, constituye una primera aproximación al estado de la investigación en comunicación realizada y/o liderada por mujeres en universidades españolas. Entre los resultados obtenidos destaca, por un lado, el desequilibrio que se observa en la distribución de funciones directivas en la investigación en comunicación: mientras que el número tesis doctorales defendidas por hombre y mujeres durante el periodo analizado es similar, el número de mujeres que lideran los proyectos de investigación financiados es desproporcionadamente menor a los dirigidos por hombres. Por otra parte, es interesante señalar que el 86,5% de la producción científica realizada por mujeres, sumando tesis y proyectos, proviene de universidades públicas.

This paper aims to extract and scrutinize the published data of Regional Studies (A quarterly journal of Islamabad Regional Studies(IRS). Designed/methodology/approach: The bibliometric approach is used to analyze the published work of Regional studies during 2012-20. The analysis includes: The Authorship pattern. Contribution of different organizations and most dynamic authorship alongwith the Geographical distribution of the published work. The study is limited to nine years of performance from 2012-20 only, and no other parts were brought into consideration for this paper. The study reveals that 122 authors contributed 130 papers during 2012-20 with an average rate of 5.2 articles per issue. The study shows that most of the articles 101 (77.69%) out of 130 articles were contributed by single authors and the most prolific authors were Pakistani by geographical distributions. This study identifies the gap and loophole in the existing style and publication methods. The analysis will undoubtedly create awareness among potential authors, readers, and library information professionals generally and particularly to the stakeholders and researchers of the Institute of Regional Studies. This study will help to understand the scope and coverage of the journal. The researchers attempted to highlight this journal's scope for the scholars of social sciences in Pakistan and abroad. The study is the author's first attempt at this journal, and no other similar research has been contributed by others so far. It will also help the researchers as a source of guidance for novice researchers interested in the bibliometric analysis of various journals and scholarly databases. It also contributes to the scholarly world to assist and extend the boundaries of knowledge.

The paper explores the research impact and collaboration of Central Agricultural University (CAU) and Manipur University (MU), India, between 2013 and 2022. A bibliometric analysis of 1,932 publications and 23,519 citations extracted from the Scopus database reveals a significant increase in publications. Notably, 77.64 % of these papers resulted from national collaborations, while 22.41 % had international, particularly with the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. The analysis of co-authorship patterns indicates a decline in single and two-authored papers, while multi-authored papers have increased significantly. The study highlights the rapid growth of collaboration networks, with CAU, Imphal leading in national collaborations across 61 countries. These findings provide that both CAU and MU have significantly expanded their research networks, resulting in improved research output and citation impact.

This chapter analyses the mobility of academic biomedical researchers in the US and the UK. Both countries are at the forefront of research in biomedicine, and able to attract promising researchers from other countries as well as fostering mobility between the US and the UK. Using a database of 292 UK based academics and 327 US based academics covering the period 1956 to 2012, the descriptive analysis shows a high level of international mobility at education level (BA, PhD and Postdoc) with small, but significant transatlantic exchanges, and shows high levels of cross-border mobility amongst senior academics based in the UK. There is a high level of career mobility with 50% of the sample having changed jobs at least once, and 40% having moved within academia. There is no significant difference in job-job mobility between the two countries although there are some interesting institutional differences concerning international and cross-sector mobility. The empirical analysis focuses on the importance of postdoctoral training in the US and the UK. The results indicate that working in the US is correlated to higher researcher performance in terms of both publication numbers and impact/quality adjusted publications (in top journals and average impact). The publications of researchers with postdoctoral experience are generally of a higher average impact. This applies especially to postdoc experience at top-quality US institutions although a postdoc at a UK top institution is associated with higher top journal publications and higher average impact. In relation to the UK sample, we find that a US postdoc (especially in a top institution) is correlated to subsequent performance in the UK academic market. Finally, we see that US postdocs that stay in the US publish more and publications with higher impact/quality than those that move to the UK; however, these effects are stronger for those who studied for their PhD degree outside the US. Therefore, we find some evidence that the US is able to retain high performing incoming PhD graduates.

This paper analyzes the authorship and collaborative research activity in Biotechnology using Scopus database. The collected data was analyzed by the help of Three study related scientometric tools i.e. Collaboration Coefficient, Authorship pattern and Activity Index, During the 16 years’ period, the multi- authorship articles are higher in number. The study found that the researchers in Biotechnology are moving toward team research or group research rather than solo research. The average Activity Index in India per year is 91.7, which is lower than that in Israel 100.71. The international collaboration shows that the United States has taken   top position as compared to   India and Israel.

Aim: This study aimed to present the research productivity of Pakistan in the field of medical sciences as reflected in the Scopus database. The retrospective research method was used on the retrieved dataset at the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia on the 2nd of March 2021. We collected bibliometric data on medical sciences produced by the authors affiliated to Pakistan during the first two decades of the 21st century from January 2001 to December 2020, using the Scopus-Elsevier database. We downloaded the total number of published papers on nine broad categories of medical sciences with at least one author affiliated to Pakistan. The data was distributed by years and by subject categories, further, top-ten authors, journals, institutions, and collaborative countries were presented in tabular form. VOS viewer software was applied to visualize the co-occurrence pattern of authors and keywords. Results: Pakistan produced 54,717 documents related to medical sciences in the targeted period with 2,735 papers per year. The majority of research was done on the subject category of Medicine and Zulfiqar A. Bhutta was found the most prolific researcher. Slightly less than half of the documents were published in top-ten national journals. The Aga Khan University and Hospital have emerged as the most productive research producing organization and most of the research was carried out in collaboration with the United States. Out of the total research productivity for twenty years, more than one-fourth (27%) of total research was related to medical sciences. Pakistan shared 0.58% of the global research output in 2019. There is a need to articulate a practicable strategic plan to boost the research culture in the country.
