Multi-Agents

The present paper explores the challenges, issues and solutions to satisfy the security requirements of a Multi-Agent System (MAS) based on the JADE framework. By means of a prototype system used for Learning Management, an adequate security concept for MAS in general is presented. Hereby several security features are considered, ranging, among others, from the authentication of users over encryption of the exchanged data up to the authorization of the access to services designated only to a determined group of users.

In VANET, the emphasis is given on the exchange of
traffic information and road conditions between the vehicles and
thereby preventing the accidents. Distinctive characteristics of
VANET like restricted topology, unpredictable mobility, vehicle
density, varying channel capacity, etc. make VANET
environment exciting for developing efficient routing protocols.
Owing to the dynamic topology in VANET, the routes are
unstable and unreliable for exchange of information among the
vehicles. To enrich the performance and throughput of the
VANETs, the links between nodes must be reliable and stable. In
order to tackle the relaiblity and stability of information
communication this work proposes ‘Multi-agent system for
Secured and Reliable Routing (MSRR) in VANET. The
performance of the proposed scheme is tested in terms of packet
delivery ratio, route reliability, route discovery time and delay.

Water policies have a great impact upon different types of resources (water, land and soil resources; infrastructure and facilities; financial resources; environmental knowledge and information; etc.). They involve many individual or collective actors (users, managers, public or private companies, associations, etc.) as well as rules and norms of behavior that these actors are the recipients or agents. Complex systems, if any, these policies have several kinds of effects, expected and unexpected, direct and indirect effects, societal, economic, environmental and eco-systemic. The current development of multi-agent platforms opens up a new area for the definition, design, implementation and monitoring of water management by producing ex ante simulations of the impact of measures that promote water public policies and of the likely evolution of the socio-hydrosystem concerned. Here we give a quick overview of these new opportunities of water policy modeling and impact assessment. We summarize the steps of the modeling process and present the main ingredients entering in the composition of a platform dedicated to impact simulations. We also argue the interest of building water scenarios and producing useful indicators for decision-making regarding the use, distribution and management of water resources at the basin-scale.

Holding commercial negotiations and selecting the best supplier in supply chain management systems are among weaknesses of producers in production process. Therefore, applying intelligent systems may have an effective role in increased speed and improved quality in the selections .This
paper introduces a system which tries to trade using multi-agents systems and holding negotiations between any agents. In this system, an intelligent agent is considered for each segment of chains which it tries to send order and receive the response with attendance in negotiation medium and
communication with other agents .This paper introduces how to communicate between agents, characteristics of multi-agent and standard registration medium of each agent in the environment. JADE (Java Application Development Environment) was used for implementation and simulation of
agents cooperation.

This paper presents a traffic flow model which considers self-driving in future cities. The model is based on a stochastic cellular automaton from the viewpoint of traffic resources in fundamental traffic diagrams. We suppose a future traffic system such as the updates of the model can be performed at every cells at the same time, so that every cars can move to forward at least one cell even if all the cells are occupied by cars. We introduce boundary effects and fluctuations as car-specific properties, and define six kinds of car running types based on the properties. Then, we discuss how six-running types are related to a traffic flow with respect to the variances of car speed in fundamental diagrams.

— In this paper we focus on the coordination of multi-agents through a revenue-cost-sharing mechanism. We consider a grand-coalition consisting of finite agents, who undertake part of the costs individually, while the remaining costs C and the total revenues R are shared between them with a revenue-cost-sharing contract. We introduce a novel approach in the form of a cooperative game for a finite set of agents N and we estimate the finite set of possible solutions. Specifically, each of these solutions can be used for the coordination of the multi-agents, as it allocates the grand-coalition's profits and risks equally among them. A computation algorithm is developed and illustrated in a numerical example for the coordination of a grand-coalition with nine individual agents.

The current generation computer users call for fast addressal of their requests. Multi-processing and Multicore architectures have been adopted for dynamic assignment of a program to two or more processors working in parallel. The coordinated processing of programs face challenges in areas of process scheduling, memory allocation and effective use of level caches due to dynamic variation of resource availed and used. The time efficiency can be improved by using multi-agents for the dynamic decision making process.The multiple interacting intelligent agents serve as autonomous decision makers based on the current set of varying inputs. Multiple agents performing various tasks can be used to enhance memory management. The credibility, novelty and necessity of the various agents are to be ascertained. This work offers a framework to employ multiple agents in a multiprocessing environment to enhance the efficiency of process handling mechanisms. A comparison is to be made between the conventional memory management and the proposed environment with localized multi-agents.

Abstract In this paper the problem of educational resource management in a cooperative learning environment is discussed. A task model was elaborated to determine both functional and level-of-service requirements. Among the former we salient:(1) the remote control of classroom hardware devices, and (2) the accessibility to course materials. Among the later we emphasize scalability, extensibility and reliability.

Abstract. The EUME project is intended to develop a Computer Supported Educational System (CSES) with the aim to improve the quality of traditional teaching strategies as well as to facilitate the implementation of new learning methodologies. At this project stage, we have constructed a knowledge model of the educational domain, designed a component-based software architecture, and implemented the second cycle of the construction plan. In this paper an overview of the main results achieved so far is presented.
