Globally, the application of Artificial Intelligence in libraries, also known as Library 5.0, is shifting traditional operations toward more automated, user-centered models. However, in Nigeria, the adoption of such systems remains limited, probably due to infrastructural challenges, cost constraints, low levels of digital literacy and awareness. In this context, the concept of "simple AI tools" becomes particularly relevant as the first steps school librarians can take. These tools include easy-to-use and cost-effective AI-powered applications that can be deployed with minimal technical expertise. This research is targeted at identifying the simple but basic and effective AI tools which school librarians can start with.in Nigeria. It is based on comprehensive literature review. Ten tools were specified alongside their functions and features for easy and practical application. It is concluded that aggressive adoption of AI tools in school libraries should be the priority of all stakeholders.

Quantitative study methods to use for analysis. The study population includes all students and faculty members of the Liaquat University Hospital, and the simple random sampling technique was used. Primary data collected through an adapted questionnaire. SPSS 20 software were used to analyze the tests like; validity and reliability, Cronbach's alpha, descriptive and inferential statistics paired t-test and test. The study aims to understand the research support services the college libraries offer to their stakeholders. These libraries provide E-Resources in their specific domain and various research tools to enhance the quality of research publications and support research culture in the higher education institutions. The researchers collected data from the working professionals through a structured questionnaire a Total of 150 questionnaires were distributed to various professional and academic college libraries in Karnataka and received 120 (80%) filled in questionnaires and analysed the data. MS-Excel is used for the analysis of the collected data and revealed the corresponding implications. Citation databases such as Scopus / WoS databases is provided by 26% colleges,
20% of the colleges are providing New Arrivals information to its users and 24% of the libraries are providing library orientation programme to its users. This article holds a thorough study of research support services in the higher education institutions of Karnataka. The objectives of this research were 1) to study the situation of instructional leadership; 2) to compare the instructional leadership among students and institutions; and 3) to elicit factual data and information from the respondents, both teachers and students, to be guided for improving the instructional leadership of the education administrators affecting the quality of teaching and learning at Teacher Training Institutes (TTIs) in Laos PDR. There were 217 target participants, including 75 teachers and 142 students. The self-constructed questionnaire as a research instrument with a five-Likert rating scale, openended questions of two sets, and the validation and reliability check by experts are performed. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, f-test, or one-way ANOVA were conducted. The recommendations via open-ended questions were narrative and interpretive. The main findings are as below: 1) The 75 teachers' opinion toward the instructional leadership of education administrators affects the quality of teaching and learning at TTIs under the 3 aspects in the overall mean score. Each aspect has been found at a much higher level. At the same time, we considered and rearranged the mean average from high to low. Each aspect has shown that TTIs' mission creation, teaching and learning management, and teaching and learning environment management, respectively. In part 142, students' points of view toward the instructional leadership of education administrators affect the quality of teaching and learning at TTIs under the 3 aspects in the overall mean score. Each aspect was found at a moderate level. When we considered and rearranged the mean average from high to low, each aspect found that teaching and learning environment management, follow-up teaching-learning by embedding TTI mission, and teaching-learning were performed, respectively. 2) There are no statistically significant differences or homogeneous opinions of students classified by gender on the instructional leadership of education administrators toward the quality of teaching and learning at TTIs, which is against the earlier hypothesis established. However, students classified by TTIs' different locations have been found statistically significantly different or heterogeneous at the 0.05 level that matched the hypothesis established. 3) The majority of respondents both teachers and students have recommended that TTI's boards should be promoted strengthening amongst teachers through multi-self-teaching skill pursuing such as creating teaching aids, and their application, communication skill, strengthening ICT capable, making the motivation each other's, sharing new teaching techniques, teaching performance appraisals and encouraging their feedback, learning resources development, creating the network, establishing an academic promotion fund, foreign language competency promotion among teachers, strongly supporting teachers doing scientific researches by group and individually, together with authentic evaluation, disseminating of research results regularly and continually.

The Research work was on Repositioning library services in the midst of a global pandemic. The study adopted descriptive survey design, data were collected through in-depth interviews of all one hundred and seventy-four (174) Federal, Private and State University across the thirty-six (36) Sates in Nigeria. The interview recordings were transcribed, translated, and analyzed thematically. The majority of the university libraries were physically closed for patrons because of the pandemic but engaged with the users through online services. Libraries revamped their web pages, reassigned resources, and planned robust online offerings. The questionnaire was made up of eleven items arranged in four (4) clusters. They were validated by three experts and used for the study. Data obtained were analyzed using mean. Based on the finding that libraries provided access to Webinars & open library source, Virtual Reference service and libraries also conducted online literacy session on COVID-19. Challenges were highlighted among which are Digitaphobia and Complexities of the E-Resources interface. The following recommendations were made that there should be retooling of library curriculum by curriculum managers or planners in the advent of disaster as in the case of COVID-19 and as a matter of national priority all librarians should be designated as essential information bearers.

This study examined librarians' Information and Communication Technology (ICT) competencies for reference services provision in public university libraries in Abia and Imo States, Nigeria. It adopted a correlational research design, with a population of 97 academic librarians. The total enumeration sampling technique was employed. The instrument for data collection was structured questionnaire. The data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while the single null hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that librarians' ICT competencies such as knowledge of searching the Internet, ability to carry out word processing activities, etc., are essential for providing reference services like selective dissemination of information (SDI), responding to users' queries, etc. It showed that the extent to which librarians' ICT competencies are utilized for reference services provision in the public university libraries is high. The study indicated that librarians' ICT competencies to a low extent have a positive significant relationship with reference services provision in the public university libraries. It identified lack of adequate funding to support librarians' training on ICTs, difficulties associated with using ICTs for reference services, poor Internet services, etc., as the major challenges militating against librarians' ICT competencies for reference services provision. The study recommended that management of the public universities should provide adequate funding to support the acquisition of modern ICT facilities, while management of the university libraries should prioritize training and retraining of librarians to sharpen their ICT competencies for enhanced reference services provision in the public university libraries.

The study investigated to the awareness and use of E-resources among Pharmacy students in Narayana Pharmacy College: A Study. The survey method was used in this study. Questionnaire tool was used to collect data from the students. 200 questionnaires were distributed to the B.Pharm and M.Pharm students following accidental sampling method (i.e. 100 B.Pharm students and 100 M,Pharm students). The researcher received 177 questionnaires out of 200 (i.e. 84 B.Pharm students and 93 M.Pharm students).

This study explores the satisfaction levels of Library and Information Science (LIS) employees in Bangladesh concerning their education and its applicability to professional requirements. With a growing demand for skilled professionals in library and information services, understanding the effectiveness of LIS education has become increasingly important for aligning academic training with the industry's needs. The study employs a survey methodology, gathering responses from LIS employees working in various libraries, including academic, public, and specialized institutions. Findings indicate that while a significant number of respondents express satisfaction with the theoretical knowledge and foundational skills provided by their LIS education, many feel that certain practical skills, such as digital resource management, data collection, and advanced information retrieval techniques, are inadequately addressed. Additionally, participants highlight a gap between current LIS curricula and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics that are transforming the information science field globally. The study also identifies disparities in satisfaction based on job roles, with senior employees tending to report lower satisfaction with their education, particularly in areas related to modern technological competencies and continuing professional development. The research concludes with recommendations for enhancing LIS curricula to better meet the evolving demands of the profession in Bangladesh. Suggestions include incorporating more practical, hands-on training, updating course content to reflect global trends, and fostering partnerships between academic institutions and libraries to bridge the gap between education and practice. This study serves as a foundational step toward improving LIS education and aligning it with the expectations of current and future LIS professionals in Bangladesh.

This study examined job satisfaction and performance among librarians in state-owned universities in Delta State, Nigeria. The correlational research design was used for the study. 87 librarians from all the state-owned universities in Delta State made up the study population. Total enumeration sampling technique was used. A questionnaire entiled Job Satisfaction and Performance Questionnaire was used for data collection. Frequency, mean and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that the respondents had high level of job satisfaction and that their extent of job performance is also high. A significant correlation was also found to exist between the level of librarians' job satisfaction and their performance. The researcher recommended that job security and stability should be reinforced in state-owned universities in Delta State. Also, there should be an increase in salaries of the librarians to enable them to better cope with their financial obligations. There should also be regular performance appraisals, constructive feedback and regular promotions. A reward and recognition system should be established to improve motivation and performance.

The present work aims to investigate the joint influence of motivation and job satisfaction on performance as well as the difference in job satisfaction and performance of librarians based on gender in state-owned university libraries in Delta State. The study adopted the correlational research design. The study population comprised 87 librarians from the four state-owned university libraries in Delta State. From this population, the total enumeration sampling technique was used. A questionnaire was used for data collection. The acquired data were analysed using IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 26. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) were used to summarise responses, multiple regression was used for research question 1, while independent samples t-tests were used for research question 2 to determine whether there were statistically significant differences in job satisfaction and performance based on gender. The level of significance was set at p < 0.05. Our methodology was applied to two groups: the first group consisted of 24 male librarians, while the second group consisted of 56 female Librarians. The study concluded that Job satisfaction has a bigger and more reliable impact on how well librarians perform. While motivation still helps, it doesn't make as big a difference on its own. To help librarians do their best, it's most important to focus on making sure they are happy and satisfied with their work. These include flexible schedules for work-life balance, clear paths to promotion and advancement, and regular staff surveys to monitor satisfaction levels. The findings suggest that gender does not significantly influence the level of job satisfaction and performance among librarians in the sampled university libraries.

The study examined the level of Awareness and application of blockchain technology among librarians for effective service delivery in University Libraries in South-South, Nigeria. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. 643 Librarians in 10 federal and state-owned universities in South-South Nigeria made up the population of the study. 495 librarians were sampled using multistage sampling technique. Online questionnaire was used for data collection, which was shared via the state WhatsApp group. The data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The findings showed that, majority of librarians studied have low level of awareness of blockchain technology. The extent of application of blockchain technology for library service delivery was very low. The major challenges affecting the awareness and application of blockchain technology for library service delivery are inadequate awareness of the technology and how it can be applied in the library, inadequate technological infrastructures in the university libraries, inadequate knowledge of blockchain technology as well as erratic internet connectivity in the university libraries. The study recommended that, awareness of blockchain technology should be created among librarians through in-house training or sponsorship to national or international conferences and workshops. The university library management should acquire adequate technological infrastructures into the university libraries, most especially stable internet connectivity should be provided around the university library among others.

Poisonous books in library collections with public access pose a specific challenge due to the fact that library staff and readers handle collection items intensely. This article describes the quest of the KB National Library of the Netherlands in how to deal specifically with arsenic used in colorants for library materials. It addresses the challenges of not knowing which collection items contain poisonous arsenic components, whether or not their presence constitutes a health risk, as well as dealing with official hygiene laws and regulations in handling arsenic. It describes two lines of research carried out by the library: one addressing the potential exposure to arsenic when handling these items and the other identifying arsenic containing items in the collections. The overall results of the exposure research do not show a direct link between increased arsenic levels found in the biomonitoring study and the work environment (at this specific library, at the time of testing). However, arsenic was found on work surfaces and tools used while handling arsenic containing objects. Legal health and safety regulations stipulate strict hygiene measures, which at first glance appear somewhat paradoxical to the outcome of the exposure study. Libraries have the duty to implement hygiene measures to ensure safe handling of these materials by staff and readers. The article describes the quest of the KB National Library of the Netherlands in dealing with books containing arsenic and will discuss the specific challenge and possible opportunity of the upcoming relocation of the entire collection to a new external robotized storage facility.

The study systematically analyzes Research Support Services (RSS) in academic libraries through a comprehensive review of scholarly literature. The objective is to evaluate publication trends, geographical distribution, sample populations, journal coverage, categorization models, core components, implementation challenges, and developmental insights. A systematic review methodology was adopted, utilizing databases Scopus and the Web of Science. The search strategy employed keyword combinations (e.g., "research support services," "research services and library," and "academic library"), supplemented by forward and backward citation tracking. This resulted in a final selection of 43 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 1992 and 2024. The review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. The analysis reveals a progressive increase in literature on RSS, with recent focus areas including research data management, bibliometric services, and open access initiatives. Core services identified encompass citation management, data curation, bibliometric analysis, and support for scholarly communication. Key challenges include limited resources, technological barriers, and professional skill gaps. The study emphasizes the need for strategic innovation, including integration of artificial intelligence and collaborative service models. The findings offer significant implications for library administrators, researchers, and policymakers, and represent a pioneering global synthesis of RSS trends and practices in academic libraries.

The effective management of research data has become a critical aspect of academic research in the digital era. This study investigates the awareness, practices, and challenges associated with Research Data Management (RDM) among faculty members and research scholars at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. The research focuses on identifying the types of research data generated, formats and mediums used for storage, data sharing practices, the role of libraries, and the level of awareness about existing data repositories and RDM tools. Findings reveal that while most respondents understand the importance of data sharing and open access, only a few know RDM tools, indicating a significant gap in practical knowledge and technical preparedness. Popular storage formats include .docx, .xls, and PDF, while storage media such as portable hard disks and USB drives are widely used. Despite the positive perception towards data sharing, issues related to storage challenges, data ethics, and copyright persist. The study underscores the urgent need for universities to develop comprehensive data management policies, conduct regular training programs, and enhance the role of libraries in supporting research data lifecycle management. Strengthening RDM infrastructure and awareness will significantly benefit researchers and improve research transparency and efficiency.

Patron Traffic Counters (PTC) integrated with RFID technology are transforming academic library management by enabling precise, real-time analytics. This case study examines the implementation of RFID-enabled PTC systems across Chandigarh University's Management and CSE libraries-high-traffic hubs serving 15,000+ users. Analysis of pre/post-implementation data (2023-25), it can be seen significant operational improvements: the accuracy of manual footfall counting jumped from 73-79% to an impressive 95-98%, gate transaction times were slashed by 66% (from 35 seconds to just 12 seconds), and user satisfaction with the entry process increased by 20-25%. The methodology used a triangulation approach that combined manual registers, PTC reports, and RFID gate data, along with annual user surveys. The results highlight the efficiencies brought about by PTC: a footfall growth of 30-48%, better staff scheduling during busy times, and flexible space reallocation. Some challenges were faced, such as initial sensor calibration issues and privacy concerns, but these were addressed through system upgrades and anonymization protocols. This study confirms that integrating RFID with PTC is a scalable solution for academic libraries, showing nearly 50% space-utilization efficiency gains and enabling data-driven decision-making. Looking ahead, there are plans to implement Al-powered predictive analytics across the other 14 libraries at CU.

Academic libraries, apart from their main function, which is to provide information services to academic communities, may also perform a number of social roles in the broad meaning of the term. Accordingly, they now tend to serve as the third place offering inclusion and animation activities to academic as well as local communities (including potential students) and to groups in risk of social exclusion (immigrants, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, etc.) or in need of various kinds of care and support. However, for libraries to be able to fulfil those tasks, they need properly trained staff who not only have the required competencies but also the right social attitudes. The paper presents an analysis of the social attitudes of academic librarians from twenty countries across the world as compared to the personnel of other types of libraries. The level of individual social capital, activity in social networks, aspirations in life and social and civic engagement were investigated. It was noted that the respondents tend to undervalue the importance of the work done by libraries for local communities. At the same time, the research showed that academic librarians have a somewhat lower level of individual social capital and trust than public librarians and less extensive social networks. Nonetheless, they are open to relationships with others, which enables them to engage in various social projects.

This study assessed the applications of library database management systems in academic libraries in Southeastern Nigeria. Two research questions bordering on the objectives of the study and two hypotheses drawn from the study research questions were formulated to guide the study. The study employed survey research design of the inferential type. The area of the study is the Southeastern Nigeria. The population and sample of the study comprises thirty-nine (39) academic libraries, consisting of 17 federal and 22 state owned university libraries. The sampling technique employed is census enumeration method due to the population size. The instrument used for data collection is a researcher-made rating scale entitled "Application of Database Management System Rating Scale (DBMSRS)". The instrument was validated by three experts and found to have face validity. The internal consistency coefficient of 0.84 was computed for DBMSRS using Kuder-Richardson formula twenty. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency count and proportion) and t-test statistics. The finding of the study revealed among others that the proportion of university libraries that adopt library database management systems is low and less encouraging and that academic libraries in federal universities make use of library database management systems more than academic libraries in state universities. Based on the findings it was recommended that academic libraries both federal and state should be funded properly, and staff trained to adhere to global services obtained in academic libraries by adopting library database management systems, in order to shift away from the traditional print materials.

This paper presents a theoretical perspective of documenting diverse cultures and communities, using constructs of cultural memory and authenticity, then illustrates its context with the practices of libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, and other cultural institutions that serve as mediating structures between and among people and information; more specifically between cultural communities and groups and the records that document their lives. In the case of libraries and other cultural institutions seeking to document diverse cultures and communities, this entails preservation and access not only to books and other textual materials but also to other information and cultural artifacts of life and community.

Teza/cel artykułu – Artykuł przedstawia propozycję nowego myślenia o zarządzaniu strategicznym biblioteką w kontekście pojęcia ekosystemu,
którego istotę stanowią wzajemne interakcje pomiędzy jego komponentami.
Metody badań – Wykorzystano metodę analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa bibliotekoznawczego oraz analizy pojęciowej. Dokonano systematycznego wyszukiwania w bazach Scopus, Web of Science, LISTA oraz wyszukiwarce zasobów naukowych Google Scholar. Ze względu na interdyscyplinarność podjętej tematyki, uzupełniająco sięgnięto także do różnych teorii: teorii systemów, sieci społecznych, ekologii informacji, ekologii organizacji, prawa oraz zarządzania strategicznego.
Wyniki – Analiza publikacji dotyczących wzajemnej relacji pojęć biblioteki
i ekosystemu (które w tytule niniejszego artykułu objęto wspólnym określeniem myślenia ekosystemowego) daje się sprowadzić do następujących wariantów modelowych, które scharakteryzowano w tekście: biblioteka jako ekosystem, ekosystem bibliotek (różnych typów) oraz biblioteka jako element różnych innych ekosystemów. W każdym z tych systemów bibliotece przypadają inne role i zadania, inaczej też podchodzi się do kwestii zarządzania biblioteką. 
Wnioski – Dowiedziono, że koncepcja ekosystemu zyskuje i będzie zyskiwać coraz większe znaczenie w strategicznym zarządzaniu bibliotekami.

The effectiveness of a library is measured by the quality of its collection and
relevance to its mission and vision. Collection building is a crucial part of the library that
requires careful attention. Librarians continue to encounter obstacles in creating and
preserving collections due to increased book challenges, censors in library collections, and
ongoing budget constraints. The paper examines library collection&#39;s future, emphasizing
digital resource integration, data analytics’ role in decision-making, and the significance of
community participation. Many patrons choose to access material and services digitally, and
this trend is expected to continue as libraries look to the future. However, managing the
intricate licensing of obtaining electronic content and digitizing old assets is not
straightforward. Incorporating data-driven approaches enables libraries to optimize their
holdings to satisfy user demands, boost resource allocation, and improve operational
efficiency.

Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to present findings from a multinational survey on copyright literacy of specialists from libraries and other cultural institutions. Design/methodology/approach -This paper is based on a multinational survey of copyright literacy competencies of Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals and those who work in the cultural heritage sector (archives and museums), conducted in 13 countries, namely Bulgaria (BG), Croatia (CR), Finland (FI), France (FR), Hungary (HU), Lithuania (LT), Mexico (MX), Norway (NO), Portugal (PT), Romania (RO), Turkey (TR), UK and USA in the period July 2013-March 2015. An online survey instrument was developed in order to collect data from professionals regarding their familiarity with, knowledge and awareness of, and opinions on copyright-related issues. Findings -Findings of this study highlight gaps in existing knowledge of copyright, and information about the level of copyright literacy of LIS and cultural sector professionals. Also attitudes toward copyright learning content in academic education and continuing professional development training programs are investigated. Originality/value -This study aimed to address a gap in the literature by encompassing specialists from the cultural institutions in an international comparative context. The paper offers guidance for further understanding of copyright in a wider framework of digital and information literacy; and for the implementation of copyright policy, and the establishment of copyright advisor positions in cultural institutions. The recommendations support a revision of academic and continuing education programs learning curriculum and methods.

Purpose-This study aimed to explored the integration of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences (MI) theory within a learning management system (LMS), focusing on the adaptability of technology-enhanced learning environments in accommodating diverse learning styles. Design/methodology/approach-A comprehensive strategy utilising a sequential mixed methods approach was utilised to investigate the research enquiries. The survey was completed by 584 undergraduate students from a university in Malaysia. Subsequently, 20 interviews were examined using Braun and Clarke's Thematic Analysis (Braun and Clarke, 2006). Findings-The investigation reveals that SIM within the LMS aligns with all eight multiple intelligence indicators proposed by Gardner, showcasing a comprehensive integration compared to traditional textbooks. Student experiences related to multiple intelligences within the LMS are positively indicated, emphasising linguistic, visual/spatial, interpersonal, music, naturalistic, kinaesthetic, intrapersonal and mathematical intelligence. Practical implications-Pedagogical implications suggest educators customise SIM to accommodate diverse intelligences, incorporating varied assessment methods within the LMS. The study concludes with the importance of adaptability, diverse assessments, practical application and innovative tools to create a dynamic virtual learning environment, urging educators to explore strategies that cater to diverse student intelligences. Originality/value-This paper introduces a novel approach by exploring the integration of Howard Gardner's MI theory within an LMS. The focus on adapting technology-enhanced learning environments to accommodate diverse learning styles is an innovative perspective. While the application of MI theory in education is not new, the study's emphasis on incorporating it into a digital platform like an LMS represents a unique and forwardthinking approach.

The changing information environment calls for a new leadership, new competences and new approaches to the library services. In today's information age, information literate citizens must be able to assess the reliability of information, making information literacy instruction an important task for libraries. In this paper, five representatives from European countries did research and present data from interviews with library leaders from Germany, Romania, Finland, UK and Norway. Their experiences were different, reflecting varying levels of economic austerity, and how closely each country adheres to New Public Management (NPM)-theory and practice. However, they also show how NPM and reduced budgets can lead to a greater and better cooperation.

The study investigated librarians’ perception and motivating factors for adoption of blockchain technology for
service delivery in public university libraries in selected states (Akwa Ibom and Cross River States) of South-
South, Nigeria. The correlational research design was adopted for the study, with a population of two hundred
and sixty-nine (269) academic/professional librarians from four (4) public university libraries. The proportionate
stratified random sampling technique was used to select 137 academic/professional librarians, representing 51%
of the population. Data was collected using the researchers’ structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was
validated and pretested for reliability, which yielded a correlation coefficient value (r) of 0.85. Data collected
were analysed using descriptive statistics of percentage counts, mean scores, standard deviations, and Pearson
Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) coefficient, while the null hypothesis was tested using simple linear
regression at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that librarians positively perceived blockchain
technology as a useful tool for service delivery in the university libraries. It indicated that the major motivating
factors for adoption of blockchain technology for service delivery in public university libraries include enhanced
security against unauthorized access and tampering with library data, easy tracking and verification of library
transactions, better management of digital information assets, etc. The study showed that though librarians have
positive perception about blockchain technology for enhanced service delivery, they are yet to adopt the
technology in any category of their job functions in the public university libraries. It identified lack of adequate
funding of university libraries, limited access to emerging technologies, lack of dedicated training and retraining
of librarians, lack of technological expertise and competencies, problems of integrating blockchain technology
with existing systems in university libraries, etc., as the major impediments associated with the adoption of
blockchain technology for service delivery in the public university libraries. The study concluded that librarians’
perception significantly motivates the adoption of blockchain technology for service delivery in public
university libraries. It recommended among other measures that management of public universities should
provide adequate funds to university libraries to enable them acquire emerging technologies such as blockchain
technology and other necessary facilities like internet services and constant power supply for effective service
delivery to the teeming users, while management of university libraries should organize training and retraining
opportunities for librarians to equip them with requisite knowledge, skills, competencies, attitude and
confidence to embrace emerging technologies like blockchain technology for enhanced service delivery.

Internet of Things (IoT) technologies provide the opportunity for hybrid and digital academic libraries to move towards offering smart library services and access to resources. This case study details the methodologies we used to create a gamified library orientation experience through an iterative design process involving the phases of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. For libraries with staff skilled in basic HTML and graphic design, gamified experiences are possible when they approach them with a design-thinking mindset. In designing the gamified orientation experience, we used a minimal amount of coding and conducted usability testing with playtesters prior to launch. We describe a sequence of issues we encountered during playtests, and we discuss remedies we took to balance storyline, content, educational objectives, and gameplay.

Traditional approaches to library training flourished in the period of hard copy collection building, when certain common generic skills, such as those of cataloguing and indexing, formed the bedrock of knowledge for many LIS professionals. The skills required in the digital library context are more heterogeneous, fluid and fast‐changing. They require a different training philosophy, one more closely identified with a “constructivist” approach to teaching and learning. This article attempts to flesh out these ideas by relating them to past and present practice, and sketches possible paths along which digital library training might evolve.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the level of use and implementation of Information Communication Technology in College Library. The study is based on some of the selected College of Assam that has used SOUL and Koha Library Management Software for Library automation. The study also shows how the user is connected through ICT. This Paper discusses changing dynamics of user community approach to information seeking, and their dynamic behavior to information needs and search, which invariably point towards emerging technologies like social media tools and other open source software to make library services responsive. This paper also shows that college library are providing Web-OPAC or Mobile OPAC for data sharing and whether they have used union catalogue system for data entry or not and that what kinds of problems librarian faces while utilizing the Library management software i.e. Koha & SOUL.

The recent financial downturn has provided impetus to libraries to adopt new low cost models of service delivery. Outsourcing has played vital role in these new lower-cost models of service delivery. The paper lists reasons for outsourcing library services, criteria for selecting an outsourcing vendor, outsource-able library services. Background: It is a believed that leadership philosophies in an organization to a large extent affect the organization in terms of performance measurement. The study focused on Laissez-faire leadership style and Work Performances of librarians. To guild the study, two (2) research questions were posed, and a null hypothesis was also observed at a 0.5 level of significance. Method The study adopted a correlational research design. A total of ninety-eight (98) librarians in six Federal universities spread across six states in South-South geo-political zone of Nigeria was used. No sampling was done because the population was small enough to be managed by the researcher. The researcher-created "Laissez-faire Leadership Styles as correlate of work Performance Questionnaire" (LLSQ) as the tool for data collection which was face-validated by three research experts. The Cronbach Alpha Coefficient got a reliability score of 0.92 for the instrument. Regression analysis was used to test the null hypothesis that matched the data collected through the questionnaire and to analyse the results using linear regression.

This research article is to increase awareness and promote the use of Chat GPT in library services, specifically in terms of reference and information services. Emphasis is given to the integration and implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the future Libraries. The impact of AI is highly significant, especially on information-based organizations. ChatGPT is now a day in trends. Therefore, it will have an impact on Knowledge based research and content development. Chat GPT being a valuable tool, can assist, particularly is response to user's queries. However, it could not be a replacement for human librarians, who provide most authentic information. The authors have put an effort into bringing out possible aspects of the use of AI-based applications in Library services.

The process of handling library activities manually is accompanied with time wastage and unnecessary stress. With regard to the aforementioned, the computerized system of handling library activities makes most effective use of existing library manpower and resources for the benefit of users. This design is aimed at providing solutions to various challenges faced by manual library system. It will not eliminate the existing manual system but will work side by side with the existing system. This system was developed using waterfall model. PHP, HTML, and CSS were used for designing of the frontend and MySQL as backend database technology. This robust design encompasses Library Management System and Online Library System. It is a website that allows students and staff to access the library easily and at the same time automate library processes by keeping record of library resources and allocating them automatically.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology offers a promising solution to alleviate the time-consuming tasks of library staff. As an innovative automated system for identifying and tracking library materials, RFID transforms a library into a "Book Smart Library" and a "self-service station" with minimal need for staff intervention. This technology is beneficial for conducting inventories, locating missing items, and identifying misfiled materials. The core components of RFID, known as tags or transponders, are electronic chips equipped with an integrated circuit and antenna coil that communicate with a reader via radio frequency signals. Unlike barcodes, RFID does not require a lineof-sight between the tag and reader, overcoming many limitations of other automatic identification systems. Smart labels/tags are designed to last the lifetime of the item they identify and can also perform Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) functions to detect theft.

Digital literacy has become a cornerstone of teaching effectiveness in higher education, particularly as digital tools reshape pedagogical practices and student engagement. This article examines how faculty members' proficiency in digital tools influences their teaching methodologies and student interaction across government, aided, and private colleges affiliated with Mangalore University, Karnataka, India. This comparative study reveals significant disparities in digital competencies, with government faculty leading, followed by private and aided counterparts. Statistical analyses (t-tests, ANOVA) and qualitative insights highlight how these differences affect teaching practices and student outcomes, offering a basis for targeted interventions to enhance educational quality.
