Hajj and Umrah represent profound religious obligations for Muslims worldwide, yet escalating costs due to inflation, travel expenses, and post-COVID regulations have rendered them financially inaccessible for many, particularly low-income individuals in regions like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. This study explores Shariah-compliant financial services—such as Murabaha (cost-plus financing), Mudarabah (profit-sharing), Takaful (Islamic insurance), and savings plans—as viable solutions to enhance affordability and inclusivity. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including regression analysis, hypothetical simulations, surveys of 500 pilgrims, and interviews with 20 experts from Islamic financial institutions, the research evaluates product effectiveness, accessibility, and challenges. Findings reveal Murabaha as the most adopted and effective model, reducing financial burden by up to 3.8% through structured repayments, while Takaful provides essential risk protection but minimal cost savings (0.6%), and Mudarabah remains underutilized due to complexity. Key barriers include low financial literacy, regulatory gaps, and fraud, mitigated by technological innovations like the Nusuk app and blockchain. Policy recommendations emphasize strengthening regulatory frameworks, promoting financial education, subsidizing low-income pilgrims, and leveraging digital platforms to foster equitable access. Ultimately, this paper advocates for a sustainable, ethical Islamic finance ecosystem to enable all Muslims to fulfill their pilgrimage duties.

Riba is one of debated issues in modern times. Although the Qur'an forbids Riba, there are still Muslim scholars who are debated on the operational definition of Riba. Differences in opinion can be found in the repertoire of fiqh and tafsir al-Qur’an pre-modern and modern. Naturally, the debates are often influenced by the particular sociological context. There is existing view which distinguishes bank interest with usury, thus implies the permissibility interest rate in financial transactions. Prohibition of Riba, from the perspective of maqashid syariah, is based on moral considerations and humanity. It is because the essence of the prohibition is to eliminate of all forms of injustices and unfairness in economic practices. The method of this paper is based on literature review by reviewing in-depth the books, commentaries and writings on maqashid sharia, interest rate transaction, and usury.

The vision and mission of Islamic banks were supposed to reflect the adherence of their activities and aspiration to Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah. However, there are contentions that Islamic banks have been converging towards conventional banking system. Efforts have been expended to reverse the tide and harmonise Islamic banking to its Sharī‘ah objectives. Hitherto, the existing conventional yardsticks have failed to measure the impact of the harmonisation exercise on Islamic banks’ performance. Therefore, using maqāṣid based yardstick to measure the performance of Islamic banks becomes imperative. After the pandemic, public finance challenges must address climate change issues, requiring countries that have ratified the Paris Agreement to fulfil their commitments. Likewise, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) require huge funding to achieve their targets by 2030. Islamic finance is increasingly embracing Islamic blended finance, a powerful scheme that combines sukuk – representing Islamic commercial finance – with Islamic social finance to create robust sustainable funding solutions. Historically, sukuk has undergone a transformation from a sakk instrument to esham and then to sukuk as it is known today. Esham is the first Islamic financial securitization instrument in history. It successfully helped the Ottoman Empire manage the crisis that followed the war defeat. The term “esham”, which refers to the origin of sukuk, is a form of blended Islamic finance. This chapter aims to propose a framework for Islamic green blended finance. It will focus on using esham, a financial tool with no redemption, to create perpetual green sukuk. This chapter will explore the concept and philosophy of esham, recognized as the pioneering framework for sukuk. It is imperative that we uphold and enhance this fundamental principle to protect and advance the integrity of today’s sukuk market. Islamic financial engineers should explore how the idea of institutional history can support Islamic sustainable finance and Islamic fiscal sustainability.

Since every transfer of enterprise comprises the transfer (delegation) of debts to the new owner, the legal regulation on asset deals must be orientated to the protection of creditors' rights. However, the legal practice showed that the existing legal regulation regarding asset deals, in particular the mechanism of the protection of creditors' rights, is complex, and thus unappealing to legal practitioners. Therefore, this research focuses on an analysis of the legal regulation of the mechanism of the protection of creditors' rights applicable to asset deals and its impact on the civil turnover of enterprise as an object of civil rights. In order to thoroughly examine the problem of the efficient mechanism of the protection of creditors' rights, the national legal regulation is analysed in comparison to the legal systems of France, Germany and Russia.

Lietuvos Respublikos civiliniame kodekse įtvirtinus atskirus sandorius dėl įmonės, kilo abejonių dėl sių sandorių teisinio reguliavimo tinkamumo ir pakankamumo. Teisinė praktika parodė, kad dabar galiojantis sandorių dėl įmonės perleidimo (įmonės pirkimo-pardavimo ir įmonės nuomos) teisinis reglamentavimas yra sudėtingas ir ne itin patrauklus teisininkams-praktikams, nes Lietuvoje įmonių, kaip turtinių kompleksų, civilinė apyvarta pagal galiojantį teisinį reglamentavimą beveik nevyksta. Abstrak-Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan religiusitas terhadap minat menabung di Bank Syariah Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif karena bertujuan untuk mengkonfirmasi data yang didapatkan dilapangan dengan teori yang ada. Sampel teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan metode kuisioner, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Data diolah menggunakan program SmartPLS 3.0. Dari hasil pengolahan data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa variabel kualitas pelayanan dan religiusitas seluruhnya berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel minat menabung di Bank Syari ah Indonesia. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan masing-masing nilai Path Coeficien > 0,05. Pertama, untuk variabel Kualitas pelayanan dengan nilai path coeficien pada uji hipotesis adalah t statistic > t tabel (2,467 > 1,985) atau p value 0,014 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap minat menabung di BSI. Kedua, untuk variabel Religiusitas dengan nilai path coeficien pada uji hipotesis adalah t statistic > t tabel ( 6,306 > 1,985) atau p value 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel religiusitas berpengaruh terhadap minat menabung di Bank Syariah Indonesia. Implikasi dari penelitian relevan ini bagi pihak perbankan agar memperhatikan kembali apa saja pengaruh dalam minat nasabah untuk menabung di Bank Syariah Indonesia.

Since the advent of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) till the nineteenth century CE, there has been a consensus among all the Muslims of all schools of thoughts that the Prophet(SAW) was the last of the Prophets(AS) and no new prophet will appear till the end of this world. Then came Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadyan (1835-1908 CE) and claimed that, though the Prophet(SAW) was the seal of the prophets (Khaatam-an-Nabiyeen), another prophet (nabi) can come after him as a reformer. Couched in his utmost praise of the Prophet(SAW) , he inserted his claim of future revelation. Though Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadyan made many other claims, the objective of this paper was to analyze Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadyan's interpretation of the Quranic term 'khaatam' from the Quranic perspective.

An analysis of the Quranic usage of the term 'khaatam' suggests that Allah(ST) has only used it for 'blocked' in the Quran. This is contrary to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadyan's claim that the term 'khaatam' also stands for 'the best'. Allah(ST) , instead of grading the Prophets(AS) in terms of good, better, and best, has mentioned the fadheelat of many Prophets in the Quran without compromising the stature of other Prophets(AS). Instead of us grading the Prophets in terms of who was good, better, or the best, which is disrespectful to the Prophets(AS) , we should focus on the fadheelat of the Prophets(AS) , as has been done by Allah(ST).

The followers of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadyan are humbly requested to abandon the misinterpretation of 'Khaatam-an-Nabiyyin' coined by him and return to the meaning (blocked) ascribed to it by Allah(ST) in the Quran. Hazoor Mirza Masroor Ahmad is also humbly requested to follow into the footsteps of Honorable Warith Deen Mohammed who rejected the fallacious version of Islam promoted by his father, Elijah Muhammad, the leader of the Nation of Islam. Honorable Warith Deen Mohammed disbanded the original Nation of Islam (NOI) and transformed it into an ostensibly orthodox and mainstream Islamic movement. He rejected the previous deification of Wallace Fard Muhammad, and forged closer ties with mainstream Muslim communities.

Recent findings show that Sicilian coins are abundant in several hoards found in the Iberian Peninsula and dated to the eleventh century. These Sicilian coins are Fāṭimid issues struck in Palermo’s mint when the island was no longer under direct Fāṭimid control but under the rule of the Kalbid dynasty. Unit dirham and dinar were the currency most used in the Fāṭimid Empire; however, most of these Sicilian coins are half- and quarter-dirham and quarter-dinar fractions. This paper analyses the impact of this foreign currency in al-Andalus, its integration into the Andalusian monetary circulation, and the intensity of this phenomenon, which varies from one area to another. The abundance of these Fāṭimid coins in the Andalusian hoards is evidence for the sizeable flow of this foreign coinage and the commercial relations between Sicily and Iberian Peninsula in the eleventh century.

Dr. Abdurahman Baadiyow’s work highlights the forgotten legacy of Sheikh Said Muqdishawi (Said of Mogadishu), a 14th-century Somali scholar and traveler. Born in Mogadishu in 1301, Said traveled across the Indian Ocean, spreading Somali intellectual and Islamic traditions to places like Mecca, India, and China. Despite his significant impact, Said's story has been overshadowed by more famous explorers like Ibn Battuta. Baadiyow’s work aims to reclaim Said’s legacy, restore Somalia’s historical contributions to global knowledge, and inspire future generations of Somalis to reconnect with their rich cultural heritage.

This article aims to review previous studies related to the economic thought of Muslim scholars during the Abbasid era. Literature review has been done throughout this qualitative study using primary and secondary sources. Thought is an opinion and ijtihad (reasoning) in decision making according to thought process is accurate. Debates on Islamic economics scientifically and systematically existed before the advent of conventional economics. Therefore, these Islamic economic thoughts need to be re-highlighted in order to develop a holistic economic system. It has found that the development of Islamic economic thought in the Abbasid era emphasized the principle of justice in every economic activity, especially in business and trade. In addition, the national treasury system also plays an important role in developing the economic system in a country.

This article examines Ḥadīth's strategy of presenting events from the standpoint of nonhuman beings as a means of disrupting human exceptionalism. Ample evidence shows that Ḥadīth's moral vision encompasses the entire created order; close analysis of a set of narratives illustrates one of the ways Ḥadīth achieves this goal. By giving nonhumans a voice and centering their perspectives, Ḥadīth portrays them not as passive resources but as active stakeholders in the moral order-capable of evaluating human conduct and directly experiencing its effects, for better or worse. This shift in vantage point is powerful because it decenters the human viewpoint, awakening Ḥadīth's audiences to the needs and vulnerabilities of other creatures and to the ways human actions impact them. In this moral universe, human worth is not inherent but contingent on piety, ethical conduct, and the capacity to coexist respectfully with other beings. By situating humans within a broader creaturely community and underscoring their interdependence, these ḥadīths advance an ethic of mutual respect, restraint, and care-an ethic with urgent relevance in an era of environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate crisis.

This paper analyses FDI in 27 Asian countries in the period 2003-2011using a panel data quantile regression method and taking into account the heterogeneity in the data. Robustness tests are carried out by allowing for the endogeneity of the GDP growth rate (Harding and Lamarche, 2009). Overall, there is clear evidence of heterogeneity as indicated by the differences in the relative importance of the factors affecting FDI in the various countries. Moreover, the analysis by quantile confirms that bigger economies tend to attract more sizeable FDI inflows than smaller ones, as one would expect.

As His beautiful Name, "The Truth (SWT)", the search for the truth is a fundamental message of the Holy Quran. In this topic, Allah (SWT) calls on the Muslim scientific community to study the universe and recognize the divine powers by which He is controlling all celestial and terrestrial bodies. From this perspective, two Divine Forces and some Divine Laws are presented in this book.
Moreover, the Holy Quran contains also a precise description about the Theory of Relativity, Big Bang Theory, Genetics, Black Holes, and much more which were only recently discovered. The Holy Quran is therefore in complete concordance with science. In  this perspective, the book includes some aspects of natural sciences found in the Holy Quran and Sunnah and the enormous scientific works and innovations of the Muslim scientists of the Golden Age of Islamic civilization.
The bottom line is that when we adhere to our religion and give knowledge, ethics, and scientific research their proper place, Islam will return to the Golden Age, and we will, God willing, guide humanity to Allah (SWT).

Adaptasi transformatif wilayah karena iklim yang berubah perlu dilakukan. Perubahan iklim memiliki efek yang kompleks pada masyarakat pedesaan, khususnya pendapatan petani akibat produksi rendah. Analisis tingkat risiko teknis usahatani padi sawah di lahan rawa lebak perlu dilakukan untuk identifikasi penerapan tindakan menghadapi perubahan iklim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi risiko, tingkat risiko teknis dan nilai manajemen risiko dalam melakukan, mengetahui bagaimana perilaku petani dalam menghadapi risiko teknis usahatani, serta adopsi teknologi seperti apa yang dilakukan petani padi akibat perubahan iklim agar dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam kegiatan usahatani padi di lahan rawa lebak dan dapat digunakan untuk memahami perubahan iklim sehingga hasil produksi lebih maksimal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan melakukan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner kepada petani padi di Desa Sudimampir. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan mengambil 90 sampel. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Risiko usahatani yang terjadi akibat perubahan iklim adalah banjir, kekeringan, dan serangan hama. (2) Tingkat risiko teknis usahatani padi sawah akibat perubahan iklim tergolong rendah dengan koefisien variasi (CV) sebesar 0,04 dan batas bawah (L) sebesar 2.610,23 . Nilai manajemen risiko teknis yang diperoleh adalah 3.169,27 kg/ha/tahun. (3) Perilaku petani dikelompokkan menjadi 3 fase yaitu sebelum tanam, saat tanam, dan setelah tanam dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim, (4) pendapatan petani yang melakukan adopsi keenam teknologi lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani yang menerapkan teknologi kurang dari enam. Praktik adaptasi yang teridentifikasi meliputi; Traktor, pupuk organik, pupuk anorganik, pestisida, bibit varietas unggul, pengelolaan air, mesin panen, dan mesin perontok. One of the most crucial tools in starting a business is working cash. The Covid-19 Pandemic has been going on since the fourth quarter of 2019, and in the first quarter of 2020, things got so bad that small business owners couldn't raise enough money to keep their operations going. Own capital, money from investment funds, and working capital from banks make up the business's three sources of capital. Working capital from banks refers to funds obtained from banks in the form of financing at Islamic or credit at conventional banks. Economic conditions have improved across a number of industries as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is starting to be under control. In this situation, the government offers a wide range of choices, from restructuring to the provision of new working capital for the microeconomic sector, to sustain economic circumstances so that they can quickly recover. Micro-scale business conditions have quickly improved as a result of the significant number of requests for working capital that financial institutions have received during this pandemic. Lower middle class or MSME entrepreneurs develop a wide range of products that can be offered on the market. Therefore, the goal of this essay is to examine the demand for working capital from an Islamic perspective during the Covid-19 pandemic. The descriptive qualitative approach is used in this research procedure. A closer examination of India's financial structure reveals profound disparities that substantially challenge its developmental trajectory. This study critically analyzes the issue of inequality through the theoretical frameworks of Marxist, Capitalist, and Islamic economic thought, offering a nuanced exploration of the underlying dynamics and proposing comprehensive strategies to address the inequitable distribution of wealth.

Bu çalışma, Durkheim, Weber ve Marx’ın moderniteye ilişkin yaklaşımlarını incelemektedir. Modernitenin etkileri günümüz toplumlarında varlığını sürdürmekte, bu da klasik sosyologların kuramlarıyla yeniden bir modernite okumasını gerekli kılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Durkheim’ın mekanik ve organik dayanışma ile anomi kavramları, Marx’ın yabancılaşma kavramı, Weber’in ise Protestan ahlakı üzerinden kapitalizmin doğuşuna dair çözümlemesi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, Durkheim ile modern topluma geçiş ve anomi sorunu, Marx ile kapitalist üretim ilişkilerine bağlı olarak yabancılaşma sorunu, Weber ile kapitalizmin dini temelleri tartışılmıştır. Üç düşünürün analizleri, kapitalizmin modernitenin kurumsal yapılarından biri olarak sanayi toplumunda nasıl ortaya çıktığını göstermektedir. Son bölümde ise bu teoriler karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiş ve modernitenin toplumsal yapı üzerindeki yıkıcı etkileri yeniden ele alınmıştır.

Syeikh Ahmad al-Fatani was one of prolific Malay scholars who had produced more than 160 writings in the fields of tafsir, hadith and fiqh. He had never written any specific books on Islamic Jurisprudence, Jurnal Melayu (7) 2011: 173 -192 moreover, his kitab al-Fatawa al-Fataniyyah is a testimony of his intellectual in this field. This article focuses on his Islamic Jurisprudence thoughts in that Kitab. The article reveals that this Kitab conveyed a concrete evidence to celebrate him as a scholar in that field. This is due to his deep understanding and scholarly thought in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence which is the basis and the only method to configuring fiqh and fatawa. He reminds us that there is no assurance fatawas which had been disseminated are in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah before they priorly purified by the method as explained in the Islamic Jurisprudence.
