Purpose – The purpose of this study is to examine the extent of awareness of Green Human resource Management among different levels of HR Managers from various organizations in Bangladesh. Design/methodology/approach – A combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods are employed to gather information. Specifically, data are collected from 221 managers in selected firms. Descriptive data analysis is presented with respect to the awareness level and causal research approach executed to find out the significant factors which increase the employees’ awareness on green HRM. Findings – This study provides significant current information on Green HRM though the practice of Green HRM in Bangladesh is insignificant. With the noticeable increase in the number of cloud kitchens, which are business models that do not offer on-site dining services but rely on preparing meals in central kitchens and delivering them directly to customers online, there is a need to understand how to achieve customer satisfaction and delight. The achievement of these kitchens is contingent on their ability to provide high-quality service, convenience, and perceived value, thereby achieving customer delight. The research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, using a questionnaire to collect data from a representative sample of 65 restaurant owners in the holy city of Karbala. The findings indicate that cloud kitchens are an emerging trend and a recent phenomenon accepted worldwide. Compared to traditional restaurants and fast-food outlets, their emergence is attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced offline restaurants to adapt. The study proved a meaningful correlation between cloud restaurants and their various dimensions in achieving customer delight. The analysis showed that cloud kitchens adopt advanced technologies to provide services, most notably receiving customer orders through online applications or mobile phones, with a relative importance of 73%. The smart menu was the least important dimension, with a relative importance of 68%, despite being the link between cloud kitchens and the customer, as it enables the customer to view the food items on offer and the cooking methods directly through this technology.

Purpose: Failure is inevitable, and the hospitality business faces it more as the number of tourists continues to rise worldwide. The study aims to examine the impact of trust, satisfaction, and service quality on customer loyalty. In addition, this study endeavors to understand the mediating role of hotel image between customer satisfaction and loyalty. This report explores the application of Experience Accounting (EA) to enhance strategic decision making in a rural resort, focusing on improving profitability through customer-centric financial management. This study addresses the challenges faced by small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the hospitality industry, particularly the lack of tailored information systems for effective decision-making. By integrating the Resource-Based View (RBV) and the stimulusorganism-response (S-OR) paradigm, EA aligns cost accounting with customer-perceived value, optimizing resource allocation to enhance customer experience and willingness to pay. The case study of a rural upmarket resort demonstrates the practical implementation of EA, revealing insights into resource consumption and customer value across various service components. The findings highlight the inefficiencies in the current service provision and suggest strategic reallocations to improve customer satisfaction and profitability. The results indicate that reallocating resources to enhance service quality rather than infrastructure can lead to greater customer satisfaction and profitability. The adaptability of the EA framework across different hospitality segments underscores its potential for widespread application, offering a valuable tool for the continuous optimization of expenditures and prices based on real-time customer feedback.

This study investigates the impact of job demands and perceived burdensomeness on employees' willingness to collaborate with service robots (SRs) in the workplace, with a focus on the moderating effects of organizational support, self-esteem, and self-development. Conducted among 200 employees in South Korea, the results show that higher job demands significantly increase perceived burdensomeness, which negatively affects employees' willingness to collaborate with SRs. Organizational support moderates the negative impact of job demands, reducing their detrimental effects, although it was less effective in buffering the reduction in social interaction. Self-esteem and self-development positively moderated the relationship between burdensomeness and collaboration. This study contributes to the understanding of sustainable workforce management by highlighting the importance of fostering personal and organizational resources to ensure that SR integration enhances both operational efficiency and employee well-being. The findings align with broader sustainability goals by promoting human-robot collaboration that optimizes resource use, enhances workforce adaptability, and maintains social and psychological balance in the workplace.

Gaming has become one of the fastest-growing segments of the hospitality industry. In addition, an enormous amount of cash changes hands in the daily operation of a casino. Therefore, internal control practices, especially those concerning cash revenue flows, are important. Through literature searches, gaming control boards and commissions' regulations, manuals of various casino operations, and personal industry experience, this conceptual piece is written to address the regulations set by gaming authorities and discuss some of the minimum standards for internal control. It will then review the accounting functions of a casino, the principal revenue flow, the importance of cashiering, and the control practices used in the opening and closing procedures for table games.

Currently, the GHRM Practice theory is widely used to assess performance in a company. However, in its theory, GHRM practice does not always have a positive effect on a company's performance, one of the causes being pressure from the stakeholders. Specifically in the hospitality industry currently, the Indonesian government has established requirements for environmental performance practices in hotel operational activities. This research explains the effect of stakeholder pressure on environmental performance through the mediation of GHRM practice by adding a green innovation indicator in the hospitality industry. The research method used was quantitative with a purposeful-sampling technique to reach 121 employees who work in hotels operating in the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area of Indonesia. The study found that green innovation has a positive effect on stakeholder pressure towards environmental performance. However, this research found that there was no effect between GHRM (green hiring, green training & involvement, and green compensation) on environmental performance in the hospitality industry. It is hoped that this research on green innovation can be implemented in the hospitality industry, creating better environmental performance and can be further developed in future research.

This study investigates the mediating role of green innovation (GI) in the relationship between green human resource management (GHRM) practices and economic and social performance, while also examining the moderating influence of environmental strategy on the link between GI and performance outcomes within Palestinian healthcare organizations. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured survey, with data analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM)-a robust statistical method well-suited for hypothesis testing in complex models. The findings confirm that GHRM practices and GI both directly and indirectly enhance economic and social performance. Notably, GI was identified as a key mechanism through which GHRM drives sustainable outcomes. However, the study found that environmental strategy does not exert a statistically significant moderating effect on the relationship between GI and performance in this context. These results underscore the critical role of GI in translating HR sustainability practices into tangible organizational benefits. This research contributes to the literature by clarifying the dynamics between GHRM, GI, and sustainable performance in a service sector that has received limited empirical attention-especially in developing and politically constrained contexts such as Palestine. The study offers theoretical insights into how strategic HR and innovation initiatives intersect to support sustainability and provides practical recommendations for healthcare managers and policymakers. In particular, it highlights the transformative potential of GHRM and GI for promoting economic and social sustainability in resource-constrained environments, offering a valuable roadmap for other developing nations facing similar challenges.

In order to boost performance and remain competitive, the Indian hospitality industry must recruit and retain employees if it wants to succeed in the long run. In order to do this, it will need to use a number of staff retention initiatives. It is suggested that effective employee retention tactics be analyzed using machine learning (ML) approaches for prediction. The results show that the hotel industry uses tactics to keep its employees, such as competitive compensation and benefits, opportunities for growth and recognition, safe and healthy workplaces, adaptable schedules, employment stability, and ongoing education and development. There is a noticeable disparity between the hotel industry's demographics and retention tactics. In the hotel industry, there is a modestly negative correlation between employee desire to depart and employee retention methods. Pay and benefits, recognition and gratitude, a safe and healthy workplace, opportunities for professional growth, and development all play a role in how satisfied hospitality workers are with their jobs. The hotel sector has to implement strong welfare initiatives if it wants its workers to have a healthy work-life balance. The hotel business should promote the development of professional connections among its employees.

Cultural terminology density showed weak but significant correlations with satisfaction ratings (r = .23, p < .001), while reviews containing positive adjectives averaged higher ratings than those without (d = 0.42). Solo female travelers expressed 15% lower positivity than other demographic groups, likely reflecting safety concerns rather than linguistic preferences. Individual linguistic features demonstrated small to medium effect sizes (Cohen's d = 0.31-0.58) in pairwise comparisons, though no comprehensive model of explained variance was established. These findings challenge assumptions about linguistic optimization in tourism marketing, revealing that language associations with satisfaction, while statistically significant, remain practically modest. Most satisfaction variance appears to be determined by non-linguistic factors such as service quality and experiential elements. The English-only focus and correlational design limit 64 generalizability, highlighting the need for experimental, multilingual research in tourism discourse.

The primary objective of this paper is to identify tourists' perception toward boutique hotel attractive attributes through the detection of those factors that drive guests to this special type of accommodation. Furthermore, this study attempts to find the underlying dimensions of attractive attributes of boutique hotel from tourist after actual experience of this type of accommodation. The empirical study is supported through data from a sample of 133 individuals who stayed in Penang Island boutique hotels. The findings show that hotel guests' perceptions of boutique hotels characteristics have four dimensions, namely: special services , room features, convenient and hotel design. However, results revealed that boutique hotels attractive elements after the actual experience of tourists have four slightly different dimensions special services , hotel facilities, price and location, and hotel design and image. From findings of this research practical suggestions are made to help hotel operators and those wishing and willing to enter the market. Furthermore, this study can help marketers gain substantial insight in order to market and promote this particular segment of the accommodation industry.

Employee empowerment plays a key role in the management of talented personnel: it enables an organization to use workers’ skills and abilities in a way that enhances the performance of both employer and employee. Based on a survey of 349 small and medium enterprises in Quetta, this study examines the impact of employee empowerment on employees’ subjective wellbeing, which is measured in terms of affective and cognitive components. Its results indicate that employee empowerment has a significant and positive impact on employees’ subjective wellbeing, implying that senior managers should prioritize this aspect of human resource management.

Purpose-Employee participation in budgeting enhances motivation and commitment, leading to better performance by enhancing ownership. Within Iraqi higher education institutions (HEIs), the current investigation delves into the influence of participative budgeting on managerial performance. Drawing upon goal-setting theory, this study discerns budget goal commitment as a mediating variable while also examining directive leadership as a moderator in the dynamics of this association. Design/methodology/approach-The current study used partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.0. 373 questionnaires were collected from managers in Iraqi public universities, with 58.37% responding. Findings-The findings show that budget goal commitment partially mediates the connection between budget participation and managerial performance. Furthermore, the results showed that directive leadership increases the positive associations between budget goal commitment and managerial performance. Originality/value-This study expands the existing literature by shedding light on the mediating role of budget goal commitment and the moderating influence of directive leadership. It also enriches the discourse in management accounting by providing a more elucidation of how employee involvement in the budgeting process enhances managerial performance.

A defining economic outcome from the Covid-19 pandemic is the unprecedented shift towards remote working from home. The extent and duration of this shift will have important consequences for local economies and especially the retail and hospitality sectors which depend on business around the workplace. Using a new bespoke, nationally representative survey of UK working age adults we analyse their ability and willingness to work remotely, and the consequences for spending on food, beverages, retail and entertainment around the workplace. We establish five key facts. (i) The post-pandemic change will be large: the fraction of work done from home will increase by 20 percentage points over its pre-pandemic level. (ii) The Dingel-Neiman (2020) assessment of remote working potential by occupation are reasonably predictive of what workers and employers expect to do, with a correlation coefficient of over 0.7. (iii) Relocation will be higher for better paid professional occupations, which will skew spending toward the most socio-economically affluent geographical areas. (iv) The corresponding geographical shift in annual retail and hospitality spending will be £3.0 billion with more remote working shifting demand away from urban areas. (v) On average, a 1% change in neighbourhood workforce changes local spending by 0.25%.

The study commenced with a review of literature in the fields of Yield Management, Customer Profitability Analysis (CPA) and Activity-Based Costing (ABC), with ABC being identified as an appropriate method of costing to use in CPA. Issues arising from the implementation of an Activity-Based CPA including the purpose of the system, the selection of software and the identification o f activities and drivers are considered both in the context of a literature review and are later considered in the context of the primary research undertaken by the author. The primary research involved the development of an Activity-Based CPA and its implementation in a hotel environment. The test site chosen for the implementation of the system was a three star, medium-sized hotel property located in the centre of Dublin city. The time taken to conduct the study at the site was thirteen months. Findings indicate that the concept of CPA, using ABC, is applicable in the hotel environment. Findings also suggest that is technically feasible to apply an Activity-Based CPA in a hotel organisation with results o f the analysis at the site providing valuable information to management for decision-making. One of the significant findings of the analysis was that 38% of revenue generated at the site is contributing to 137% of total profits. The study has resulted in the availability of cost and revenue data by customer group, data that was previously inaccessible by management at the site. Management anticipate maintaining the system at the site in order to use the customer profitability information generated by the system in long-term customer-related decisions. Lack of safe and stable housing is a pernicious and growing social concern, and stereotypes about individuals experiencing houselessness are generally quite negative. Little scholarly work has examined housing insecurity and its associated stereotypes in employment contexts. The purpose of the current research was to examine, in the context of the hospitality industry, whether housing status influences hiring managers&#39; perceptions of hireability (Study 1) and customers&#39; evaluations of an organization and its employees (Study 2) using the stereotype content model. Across two experimental studies, we assessed participant attitudes toward individuals experiencing houselessness. The aims of this paper is to examine the relationships of online service quality dimensions with customers' satisfaction towards e-ticket system in Royal Jordanian Airlines. The proposed instrument dimensions are identified based on a questionnaire survey conducted in Jordan. Based on an extensive review of literature, this paper proposed five dimensions for measuring online service quality on customer satisfaction. The results show significant relationships among the online service quality dimensions (Responsiveness, Contact, Efficiency and privacy), and customer satisfaction. The results are important to enable managers to have a better understanding of the key online service quality dimensions that influence customer satisfaction. The primary limitations of this research are the scope and size of its sample.

This study evaluated scarcity of quality water supply as a facility management challenge in Primary Healthcare Centres in Nigeria: A Case Study of Anambra State. The study aimed to assess the extent of quality water scarcity in Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) in Anambra State, identify its causes, evaluate its effects on facility management, and propose improvement strategies. Using a descriptive research design, the study targeted 164 staff members from selected PHCs, with a sample size of 116 determined by the Taro Yamane formula. A multi-stage sampling technique combining stratified and convenience sampling was employed, and data were collected through structured questionnaires. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics, focusing on mean scores and frequencies. Results showed significant scarcity of quality water, mainly due to inadequate government funding, poor infrastructure, erratic electricity, poor maintenance, limited local government support, and corruption, with all related items scoring means above the 2.50 cutoff. Water scarcity severely affected facility management, including infection control (mean = 3.93), service delivery efficiency (mean = 3.84), patient attendance (mean = 3.77), staff morale (mean = 3.65), operational costs (mean = 3.65), and infrastructure integrity (mean = 3.60). Recommended strategies include that the government should increase budgetary allocations for water infrastructure, healthcare facilities should adopt solar-powered boreholes, facility managers should implement regular maintenance schedules, and public-private partnerships with community involvement should be promoted to ensure sustainable water supply. The study concludes that a multi-faceted and coordinated approach involving funding, technology, governance, and local engagement is critical to resolving water scarcity challenges and enhancing healthcare delivery in PHCs across Anambra State.

The concept of sustainability and organizational green policies is very important from environmental studies perspectives nowadays. Green practices are evaluated in many different aspects, such as environmental, technological, and economic, in organizations. The green and environmental adaptation of all aspects of knowledge management is defined as "green knowledge management," as well as is being examined by scientists in various aspects, following the organizational structure in the study. The development of green knowledge management, its applications, analyzing it geographically, evaluating its academic performance, and evaluating the existing intellectual accumulation on the subject is possible with bibliometric analysis. Bibliometric analysis methods are used in both academic and administrative studies, as well as to quantitatively analyze scientific publications produced by scientists and academic institutions. It plays an active role in the decision-making process, especially in the measurement of academic performance, in the evaluation of a particular subject, publication, institution, and in the collection development policy practices of libraries. In this study, in addition to the distribution of articles on green knowledge management indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database according to years, countries, and institutions, keywords and institutions are also used to explain the relationship between the concepts related to green knowledge management and sustainability concepts.

This tracer study aimed to investigate the demographic, academic, and employment profile of 202 Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) graduates of Northern Iloilo State University (NISU), Philippines from A.Y 2016-2019. This study employed a quantitative approach with data collected through a modified questionnaire modeled from the Philippines' Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Graduate Tracer Study. The findings showed that most graduates passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers and worked full-time, however, were underemployed. Most graduates acquired their first job in less than a year, but not in the field of education. The respondents found learned skills in communication, knowledge and technical, leadership, human relations, and ICT useful in the workplace to a great extent. However, research and problem-solving skills were found to be useful to a moderate extent. Among the difficulties faced by BEED graduates in finding a job, the limited job vacancies in the teaching profession or the lack of positions or permanent items in public elementary schools was pointed out as a major problem. The university is recommended to establish a dedicated unit for conducting regular tracer studies, integrate it into the college's quality assurance system, and strengthen partnerships with local employment offices and the private sector to ensure job opportunities for graduates. The Teacher Education Department may review and enhance its curriculum to align with the current demands of the teaching profession in public and private schools, both for local and international employment.

This research examines the impact of green financial and non-financial incentives on the green project-demonstration in the construction industry in Jiangsu province, China. It investigates the role of mediation of green innovation in these relationships. The study applies quantitative research, collecting data through a cross-sectional survey of 432 employees in 58 large construction firms. Structural equation using modeling (SEM. Results of the study show that financial incentives, such as subsidy and tax benefits, improve resource efficiency, while non-objective/financial incentives, such as certificates increase recognition, stakeholder satisfaction, and competition. Companies should consider the adoption of both types of incentives to catalyze green innovation and align their operations with sustainability goals. Practical implications emphasize the need for firms to integrate both incentives and foster a culture of green innovation to achieve long-term sustainability goals. Policymakers are encouraged to design supportive frameworks that promote ecological incentives and innovation, particularly in developing economies facing resource constraints.

Menurut Undang-Undang No. 36 Tahun 2009 tentang Kesehatan, kesehatan didefinisikan sebagai keadaan sehat, baik secara fisik, mental, spiritual maupun sosial yang memungkinkan setiap orang untuk hidup produktif secara sosial dan ekonomis. Setiap orang berhak mendapatkan jaminan kesehatan yang layak berdasarkan Undang-Undang Dasar RI tahun 1945 pasal 28H ayat 1 yaitu "Setiap orang berhak hidup sejahtera lahir dan batin, bertempat tinggal, dan mendapatkan lingkungan hidup yang baik dan sehat serta berhak memperoleh pelayanan kesehatan", dan pada Pasal 34 ayat 3 yang menyatakan bahwa negara bertanggung jawab atas penyediaan fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan dan fasilitas pelayanan umum yang layak. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO) kesehatan merupakan suatu keadaan sehat yang utuh baik secara fisik, mental dan sosial serta tidak hanya keadaan bebas dari penyakit atau kecacatan. Untuk mencapai kesehatan yang optimal pada masyarakat maka diperlukan peningkatan upaya kesehatan. Berdasarkan Undangundang Republik Indonesia No. 36 tahun 2009 tentang kesehatan pasal 1 ayat 11, Upaya kesehatan merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan secara terpadu, terintregrasi dan berkesinambungan untuk memelihara dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat dalam bentuk pencegahan penyakit, peningkatan kesehatan, pengobatan penyakit, dan pemulihan kesehatan oleh pemerintah dan/atau masyarakat.

Over the last few decades, the servicing organisation is witnessing a phenomenal growth. Today the service organisation are passing through a transformation stage and facing a remarkable competition as never before. The complex nature of service task and advanced technological application in service organisation has forced the management to keep its employees updated. Staff training has become essential for sustainability and growth of the organisation. The identification of right training to the right person has become the real challenge. Present paper focus on training need analysis and its perceived outcome. In a survey of 123 respondents working in some selected service organisation of Dehradun area, it is found that management adapt some of the important techniques like Knowledge and skill required by the team, Performance appraisal, Client / Customer Satisfaction Index, and Direct Observation made to identify the training needs. The study signify the proper training need identification process will keep pace with the smooth flow information and help organisation to improve its productivity by developing employees productivity, competitiveness and morale. Some of the suggestion are also drawn and presented in the study.

This article examines how organisations can design talent-development programmes that deliver results without falling into the “war for talent” trap. It grounds the analysis in competency-based management and the Resource-Based View, positioning human and organisational capabilities as sources of sustained advantage. The literature review synthesises critiques of star-centric, fast-track logics—excess mobility, crowding-out effects on the wider workforce, and the mixed returns from hiring external “stars”—and distils corrective design principles (system focus, personalised development, internal cultivation of talent). Empirically, the paper contrasts U.S. survey evidence (ASTD, 57% of firms with formal processes; strong links to succession and capability building) with Italian studies, where adoption is newer and oriented to internal pipelines, with results most visible in planning and resource alignment rather than retention. The article proposes conditions for success—clear talent definitions and objectives, detailed process governance, top-management sponsorship, HR orchestration, transparent communication, and safeguards for organisational equity—while noting the enduring challenge of securing commitment in increasingly transactional labour markets.

The study sought to analyse the impact of customer retention on performance of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Customer retention was measured using word of mouth, price insensitivity, repeated purchase and non complaining behaviour. While firm performance was measured using non financial measures which included customer satisfaction ,market share and competitiveness.

Data was collected from the employees and management from 10 selected microfinance institutions in Masvingo using a 5 point Likert scale questionnaire and analysed in IBM SPSS . The findings from the study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between word of mouth and financial performance. Further the results from the study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between price insensitivity and firm performance.

In addition from the current research it was also established that there is a significant positive relationship between repeated purchase and firm performance. Further it was also established that there was a positive relationship between non complaining behavior and firm performance. Repeated purchase had the highest positive relationship with firm performance.

From the results of the study it was also concluded that word of mouth, price insensitivity, repeated purchase and non complaining behavior significantly affected firm performance. Basing on the conclusions of the study, the study recommended that the micro finance institutions understudy should ensure that the policies are initiated and implemented with needed speed in order to obtain the benefits of customer retention and that the micro finance institutions should ensure that they align their customer retention components with appropriate policies that will promote improve financial performance of micro finance institutions in Zimbabwe.

Perhotelan adalah sektor yang berkembang pesat di berbagai negara di seluruh dunia. Dalam industri ini, karyawan hotel memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam memberikan pelayanan yang berkualitas kepada para tamu. Namun, industri perhotelan sering dihadapkan pada tantangan dalam mempertahankan karyawan, terutama karena masalah kepuasan kerja. Karyawan yang tidak puas dengan pekerjaannya cenderung meninggalkan perusahaan dan mencari pekerjaan di tempat lain. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penting untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan karyawan hotel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh pengembangan karir karyawan dan kompensasi kerja terhadap kesejahteraan karyawan hotel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif kausal. Data diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner kepada karyawan hotel bintang 4 di Kota Batam sebanyak 40 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. Sebagian besar responden berusia dari 26 hingga 30 tahun, yaitu sebanyak 67,5%. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan karir tidak terlalu signifikan dalam kaitannya dengan kesejahteraan karyawan hotel. Namun, hal ini berdampak langsung pada peningkatan motivasi, etos kerja, dan komitmen organisasi, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan semangat kerja karyawan. Sementara itu, kompensasi untuk pekerjaan memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap standar etika anggota staf hotel. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Hotel dapat mencapai tingkat keunggulan operasional yang lebih besar dan menjaga daya saing mereka di sektor perhotelan dengan berfokus pada kesejahteraan karyawan.

The paper aims to clarify the relationship between hotel staff and quality of services during the Covid-19 pandemic in Chiang Mai province, Thailand. It has two following research objectives, first is to examine the effect of training on employee performance whether they adequately understand, maintain good hygiene, and adjust themselves to the market with Covid-19. The second research objective is to determine the importance of hygiene and the impact of hygiene to quality of service. Data collected from the target group using a self-report questionnaire between January 2021 and April 2021. The number of 138 questionnaires were received. The data analysis of this study was done in the form of a first order confirmatory analysis by considering what each latent and each group were. After that, it was combined into the structural equation model (SEM) believing that the antecedent factors of training had an effect on the mediator marketing and service quality. This research aims to point out that two latents; training and hygiene are believed to be important. They have affect in marketing and eventually quality of services.

The findings revealed that the image of line-level employment is a multifaceted concept, represented by eight factors that were further utilized for the identification of the employment image profiles of the combined two samples. Furthermore, the study found differences in images of six line-level occupations, indicating higher rankings provided by current hospitality employees. Managerial implications and suggestions for future research are presented.

At the moment, the hospitality business is facing serious challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which is forcing hotels to quickly adapt to a new operational reality. Such adaptation requires the redefinition of the current business models since they are not adequate for the current global scenario. The main goal of this dissertation is to analyse the main impacts of COVID-19 in the hospitality business and to ultimately propose a general reinvented business model, aiming to contribute to the hospitality industry's reinvention in the global scenario. To fulfil these objectives, a literature review was developed, and an in-depth interview was conducted with 14 professionals, who work at different hotels. The interview aimed to assess nine building blocks, all related to the business model implemented by hotels: key partners, activities, resources, value proposition, customer relationship, channels, customer segments, cost structure, and revenue streams. Overall, the obtained results demonstrated that the reinvention of the hotels' business model must include a significant investment in technology and digital communication, since these two dimensions are vital for the industry's growth and evolution, since they provide customers with a sense of trust and confidence towards hotels.

This study examines the journey of micro and small firm owners/managers of hospitality firms through the global financial crisis. This journey includes measures of firm success and performance supporting firms in the aftermath of the event. The study draws on a sample of mainly hospitality firms in Greece and Cyprus and considers conceptual tenets of the dynamic capabilities framework. Key dimensions associated with firm success and firm performance following the crisis were revealed. For instance, the 'value' dimension emerged through measures of financial management, intrinsic, knowledge-based, strategic, and by adding value to consumers' experience. Furthermore, strong firm performance was mainly perceived as a result of learning from mistakes or managing time efficiently, while counting on government or financial institutions was associated with poor firm performance. The study has various practical and theoretical implications, including through the proposal of a conceptual framework, where the findings and dynamic capabilities approach converge.

One-third of the global food production is wasted globally. Food production is a resource intensive process and safe disposal of food wasted requires additional resources. In tourism industry food is just more than fulfillment of basic needs. Food is linked with the experience. Food wastage in hospitality is accepted as a major challenge with multifaced consequences and awareness to address the issue of food waste is also increasing. In the context of developing countries like Nepal the topic is still under-studied. Therefore, this study is focused on owners and managers perspective on food wastage in tourism industry of Pokhara with the objectives of identifying current composition and causes of food waste and established approaches to mitigate it. This study was carried out with key informants' in-depth interview and on-site observations. Unrealistic expectations, unsustainable consumption patterns, lack of general public awareness and management limitations on wastage controlling were major themes identified by the study. The findings call for quantitative study in mass scale to know the exact situation of the food waste in hospitality industry of Pokhara.

The study assessed the effect of food poisoning in catering establishment. One hundred and eighty (180) respondents were selected across seven (7) wards in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State for the study. The study employed descriptive survey design and 4-point Likert scale self structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The instrument was subjected to face validity by experts in the department of home economics and a reliability test was carried out and was correlated using Spearman Rank Order. Responses to the questionnaire were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using mean, standard deviation and t-test. The result of the findings revealed the causes of food poisoning, it effect on the populace and the catering establishment. Further findings revealed that there is no significant difference in the mean responses of male and female respondents on the causes and consequences of food poisoning on the consumers/customers in catering establishments (p > 0.05). It was recommended that catering establishment owners should be educated on the effect that unhygienic practices in food production may have on the economy, the consumers and the catering establishment. Raw fruits and vegetables should be thoroughly washed with portable water and caterer must always maintain and practice good hygiene.
