Аннотация. В статье анализируется социокультурный феномен ярмарочной проституции как элемента городской повседневности в период Ростовской ярмарки во второй половине XIX в. На основе неопубликованных архивных материалов установлен социальный состав проституток и их хозяек, маршруты передвижения и особенности организации полицейского надзора в период торга. Рассмотрены личные истории содержательниц борделей и публичных женщин. Определено значение Ростовской ярмарки как одного из заметных региональных центров индустрии коммерческих интимных услуг Центрально-промышленного района в начале второй половины XIX в. Большинство пришлых публичных женщин и их содержательниц происходили из низших слоев общества. Проститутки-одиночки из близлежащих населенных пунктов находились в наиболее тяжелом материальном положении. Ограничение легального въезда проституток на ярмарку привело к росту тайной проституции и распространению венерических заболеваний. К концу XIX в. Ростовская ярмарка утратила значение крупного российского торгового пункта, интерес к ярмарке со стороны приезжих содержательниц домов терпимости угас.

The article deals with the appearance in 1284 of a man who declared himself as EmperorFrederick II of Staufen, who had actually died more than 30 years earlier. When thisman was asked where he had been for so many years, he replied that he had covered hissins in the Holy Land as a pilgrim, and now the time had come again to him to rule hisempire. This story revealed that medieval man apprehended contemporary events in “several times” at once: 1) as a period of the reign of one sovereign (which, as thisepisode shows, could be broken and then resumed); 2) the sacral time, a tangibleproximity “the end times”; 3) still alive and actualizable images of the emperor inpeople’s memory. And these memories to some extent continued to define the actions ofthe urban community at the time when the impostor appeared. | В статье рассматривается эпизод появления в 1284 г. перед горожанами человека,объявившего себя императором Фридрихом II Штауфеном, который на самом деле умер более 30 лет до того. На вопрос из толпы, где же он был столько лет, тот отвечал, что замаливал грехи в Святой земле как пилигрим, а теперь снова настал час, чтобы он правил своей империей. Эта сцена обнажила, что средневековый человек осознавал современные ему события сразу в «нескольких временах»: 1)времени правления одного государя (которое, как показывает этот эпизод, могло разрываться и затем возобновляться); 2) сакрального времени, ощутимой близости«последних времен»; 3) все еще живых и способных актуализироваться образах императора в памяти народа. И эти воспоминания в некоторой степени продолжали определять поступки городского сообщества в момент появления самозванца.

The article examines the importance of the retinue in representing a medieval self-appointed ruler’s power. The paper shows this group of people to be the main link in the symbolic, epistolary and ceremonial communication between the impostor and his subjects. Using the examples of impostors who pretended to be Frederick II  Hohenstaufen in Sicily and in Germany during the second half of the 13th century, the author finds out what public everyday royal practices were reenacted by the impostors’ assistants to make various social groups believe they were the real monarchs. These practices included sending fake letters on behalf of Frederick II, imitating activities of the imperial curia, and the ceremony of entering the city. In the course of the study, the author arrives at a conclusion that the (re)constructed representations of power were closely associated with memories of emperor Frederick II that the 1260-1280s generation still kept. The impostor's retinue made a point of imitating the modus imperandi of the last Hohenstaufen emperor, actualizing the most vivid and typical images of his power performance. | В статье изучается роль приближённых самозванца в репрезентации власти «правителя» в Средние века. Свита псевдогосударя предстаёт как главное связующее звено в символической, эпистолярной и церемониальной коммуникации псевдогосударя с его подданными. На примере самозванных Фридрихов II Штауфенов на Сицилии и в Германии второй половины XIII в. автор выясняет, какие именно публичные повседневные практики правителя реконструировали помощники лжеимператора, чтобы показать различным социальным группам, что перед ними — настоящая венценосная особа. К таковым относились рассылка фальшивых писем от лица Штауфена, имитация деятельности императорской курии, въезды в город. В ходе исследования выясняется, что конструируемые образы власти были тесно связаны с образами памяти об императоре Фридрихе, которые были у поколения 60-80 гг. XIII в., и свита самозванца старалась скопировать «властный почерк», актуализируя самые яркие и типичные образы власти последнего Штауфенского императора.

Temeljem analize spisa Kaznenog suda te usporedbe s rezultatima istraaeivanja za druga europska podruËja, razmatraju se druπtveni, antropoloπki i pravni aspekti zloËina Ëedomorstva u DubrovaËkoj Republici (1667-1808). Rekonstruira se mreaea socijalnog nadzora nad Êudoreem i reakcija druπtvene grupe (obitelji, bratovπtine, sela, itd.) na izvanbraËnu trud-noÊu i Ëedomorstvo. Analiziraju se specifiËnosti kaznenog procesa (osobito dokaznog postupka), ishod postupka i penalna politika. Sudske dokumente o dubrovaËkim Ëedomorstvima od velikoga potresa do pada Republike obradio je Nenad VekariÊ u sklopu veÊe studije o ubojstvima meu srodnicima. 1 Njegov izbor grae, analiza kvantitativnih pokazatelja i razmatranje druπtvenih okvira bili su polaziπtem i ovoga rada. 2 Cilj

NELLA LONZA SAAEETAK: Razmatraju se znaËajke izbornog postupka DubrovaËke Republike u razvitku od srednjega vijeka do posljednjih reformi potkraj XVIII. stoljeÊa. Analizira se njegov tijek, od izbornih priprema preko kandidacijskog postupka do naËina glasovanja i utvrivanja rezultata, kao i mjere koje πtite pravilnost izbora. DubrovaËkome se sustavu traaee srodni modeli i uzori, te ukazuje na Ëinjenicu da je, unatoË gotovo istovjetnom izbornom postupku, mletaËka izborna stvarnost bila bitno razliËita od dubrovaËke. Vaaenost poznavanja izbornog sustava za razmatranje draeavnog ustroja i ustavne prakse toliko je samorazumljiva da je nije potrebno obrazlagati. U onoj pak draeavi koja -poput DubrovaËke Republike -vlast povjerava nakratko, iz bojazni da se oni kojima je sluaeiti draeavi ne prometnu u silnike, izbori su znaËajan i Ëest Ëin ustavnog i politiËkog aeivota. Ovome je ogledu svrha rekonstruirati i protumaËiti izborne modele onako kako su se oni povijesno pojavljivali i nestajali, te pruaeiti neke naznake o njihovoj primjeni u praksi. Raznorodna su vrela za prouËavanje dubrovaËkog izbornog sustava. Una-Nella Lonza, znanstveni je suradnik Zavoda za povijesne znanosti HAZU u Dubrovniku. В  статье  исследуется  динамика  развития  заводских  лабораторий  на  протяжении  советского  периода  с  точки  зрения  властного  запроса  к  ним  и  особенностей  реализации  на  практике  мер  стимулирования  их  работы  в  годы  индустриализации,  реформирования  на  пути  к  «скорейшему  овладению  новой  техникой»  в  конце  1950-х  –  1960-е  гг.,  укрупнения  организационных  форм  науки  в 1970–1980-е гг. В условиях конкуренции двух линий – сочетания централизованного  государственного  управления  (идея  сконцентрировать  ограниченные  силы  в немногих, но достаточно крупных научных институтах) и стремления приблизить НИР к производству (децентрализовать их на предприятиях) – заводская лаборатория то исчезала из внимания руководителей науки и промышленности, то вновь оказывалась в центре дискуссий и практических мероприятий научно-технической политики. Отвечая на ключевой вопрос об изменении роли и функций заводских лабораторий, автор характеризует ряд смежных сюжетов, оказывавших влияние на их работу, – особенности производственной повседневности заводских лабо-раторий, специфику их положения на предприятиях и взаимоотношений с цехами, кадровый состав и особенности повседневного труда заводских инженерно-технических работников. Тем самым исследование позволит привлечь внимание к более широкому кругу проблем научно-технической политики и индустриального развития СССР в их взаимосвязи. Исследование строится на материалах из фондов Архива Российской  академии  наук,  Государственного  архива  Российской  Федерации  и  Российского  государственного  архива  новейшей  истории,  впервые  вводимых  в научный оборот

Studie se zabývá historickým vývojem mlýnů ležících na Hrubém a Jamném potoku a jejich přítocích před jejich soutokem v Javorníku. Snahou práce je identifikovat nejstarší zdejší mlýny, sledovat majetkové a rodinné vazby a také zdejší specifické důvody pro zakládání nových mlýnů. Sledován je technický a stavební vývoj objektů od 18. století, a to včetně používané technologie a dokumentace současného stavu dochovaných mlýnů.

In the semi-public sphere of Hungarian Jewish community in the 1960s and 1970s, under the Kádár regime, Chief Rabbi Sándor Scheiber (1913–1985) Director and Professor of the Rabbinical Seminary (Országos Rabbiképző Intézet), a few other people stood out from the  gray zone of the dictatorship. One such person was Mihály Borsa, who, as an economic, directed the welfare policy of Hungarian Jewry for decades. Not only was Borsa not a member of any party, but as an ex party member of the ’Independent Smallholders Party, he had a completely different career path than the other leaders of the Hungarian Jewish community. Although he also went through the hell of the Holocaust, making it difficult to question his anti-fascist past, he was socialized in the non-leftist segment of Hungarian political life, and his network of connections was both very Hungarian and international.

По поручению Политбюро ЦК Пленум открыл член Политбюро, секретарь ЦК КПСС тов. К. У. Черненко. В связи с кончиной Генерального секретаря ЦК КПСС, Председателя Президиума Верховного Совета СССР Ю. В. Андропова участники Пленума ЦК почтили память Юрия Владимировича Андропова минутой скорбного молчания. Пленум ЦК отметил, что Коммунистическая партия Советского Союза, весь советский народ понесли тяжелую утрату. Ушел из жизни выдающийся деятель Коммунистической партии и Советского государства, пламенный патриот, ленинец, неутомимый борец за мир и коммунизм. Находясь по воле партии на важнейших постах партийной и государственной работы, Юрий Владимирович Андропов отдавал все свои силы, знания и огромный жизненный опыт осуществлению политики партии, упрочению ее связей с массами, укреплению экономического и оборонного могущества Советского Союза. Много внимания уделял Ю. В. Андропов проведению в жизнь выработанной XXVI съездом КПСС и последующими Пленумами ЦК КПСС линии на всемерную интенсификацию производства, ускорение научно-технического прогресса, совершенствование управления народным хозяйством, усиление ответственности кадров, организованности и дисциплины, на неуклонный рост материального и духовного уровня жизни народа. Большой вклад внес Ю. В. Андропов в развитие всестороннего сотрудниче ства стран социалистического содружества, в укрепление единства и сплоченно г о международного коммунистического и рабочего движения, в поддержку (Лтаведливой борьбы народов за свою свободу и независимость. Под его руководством последовательно и настойчиво осуществлялся на международной ленинский внешнеполитический курс нашей партии и государства --^--у с т р а н е н и е угрозы термоядерной войны, на твердый отпор агрессив-К. У. Черненко награжден высшими наградами социали стических стран. ным проискам империализма, на упрочение мира и безопасности народов. Пленум подчеркнул, что в эти скорбные дни коммунисты, весь советский народ еще теснее сплачивают свои ряды вокруг ленинского Центрального Комитета партии, Политбюро ЦК КПСС, полны решимости беззаветно бороться за претворение в жизнь ленинской внутренней и внешней политики партии. Он внес предложение избрать Генеральным секретарем ЦК КПСС тов. К. У. Черненко. Генеральным секретарем Центрального Комитета КПСС . Пленум еди ногласно избрал тов. Черненко Константина Устиновича. Затем на Пленуме выступил Генеральный секретарь ЦК КПСС тов. К. У. Черненко. Он выразил сердечную благодарность за высокое доверие, оказанное ему Центральным Комитетом партии. Тов. К. У. Есть ответ на этот вопрос. Еще на III съезде комсомола дал его нам Владимир Ильич Ленин: необходимо учиться. Учить ся комму низму, учиться у коммунистов. Это главное. Н есколько дней назад состоял ся внеочередной Пленум Центрального Комитета на шей партии, на котором вы ступил избранный Генераль ным секретарем ЦК КПСС Константин Устинович Черненко. Все мы слушали или читали эту речь и еще не раз возвратимся к ее содержанию. А сейчас вспомним такие слова: «Нужно уметь не только поставить правильные цели, но и упорно добиваться их, преодолевая любые труд ности. Нужно реалистически оценивать достигнутое, не преувеличивая, но и не преуменьшая его». Эти слова адресованы коммунистам, все му народу, а значит, и нам -комсомоль цам и молодежи. Задачи на Пленуме постаалены четкие, конкретные, отражающие преемствен ность политики партии, встретившие полное одобрение советских людей. И мо лодые труженики без промедления вклю чились в решение этих задач. Но важно не только сделанное вчера -необходимо видеть и чувствовать: что и как должны мы сделать сегодня, где потребуемся завтра и послезавтра. И выполнять пору ченное с полной отдачей сил. Сноровка у нас есть. Мы учимся вникать в большие дела, в крупные хозяйственные вопросы, многим из нас доверены ответ ственные участки производства, обще ственной работы. Это прекрасная воз можность для проявления гражданской активности, ответственности, инициати вы. Скажем, серьезной школой трудового и духовного роста юношей и девушек зарекомендовали себя комсомольско-мо лодежные коллективы. Уверенно входит в жизнь бригадная форма организации и стимулирования труда. И если ты -комсомольский вожак, акти вист, то. разумеется, не можешь не понимать: чтобы поддержать рост созна тельности, укрепление дисциплины, раз вивать хозяйскую рачительность моло дых, надо уметь прислушаться к слову, идущему из самой «бучи, боевой, кипу чей»! Д авайте приглядимся к любому полезному делу: в основе его обязательно увидим почин, встречный план. Все этонаши кровные, комсомольские понятия. Каждое поколение вкладывало в них свою жизнь. Мы молоды, у нас есть силы и знания, простор для нашей деятельности обеспечен социа лизмом -на убежденную службу ему призваны мы поставить и крепость рук, и пытливый ум, и смелость творческого дерзания. Не все наши ровесники на планете наделены таким правом. К нам оно тоже не пришло само, а было завоевано в борьбе. Какое же ощущение полноты жизни, личной причастности к обновлению мира дает сознание того, что мы -полноправные наследники этих завоеваний! Путь созидания -всегда ожидание от крытий: а что же там, впереди, кому шагать первым? Жажда поиска, проявле ние самостоятельности, умение пойти на оправданный риск для достижения це ли -такие качества современного чело века приобретают особую ценность и зна чимость. В наше время, когда идет широкомас штабный экономический эксперимент, пе рестраивается система управления, весь хозяйственный механизм, нетерпима по зиция иждивенца: меня это не касается... Нас это -касается! Разве может свежий ветер не волновать молодые побеги? Он поднимает их к жизни, закаляет, испыты вает, делает крепкими, выносливыми, необходимыми! Нам, молодежи восьмиде сятых, Родина дала все, но что мы сами отдадим ей? Свою готовность быть там, где труднее. Сейчас в стране формируется новый Всесоюзный ударный отряд имени Ленинского комсомола для работы на главных стройках пятилетки. Двадцать тысяч юных добровольцев станут в бли жайшее время в его ряды. Те, кто решил испытать свой характер, волю и руки на Тюменском Севере и КАТЭКе, Экибастузе и объектах Нечерноземья, обращаются в эти дни в комсомольские комитеты, со всей ответственностью пишут в заявлени ях: «Прошу выдать путевку. Хочу делать нужное дело...»

Egy időben volt egy buszjárat Szerdahelyről Pozsonyon át Brünnbe, és többször ezzel mentem fel Pozsonyba, vagy jöttem onnan vissza. Az egyik sofőr egy elég barátságtalan szlovák ember volt. Ennek ellenére mindig magyarul kértem tőle a jegyet. Elvből. Egyszer, amikor éppen nem voltam valami jó hangulatban, hallom, hogy gorombán ráförmed az egyik előttem álló utasra. Elkezdtem vívódni, hogy vajon ne kérjek-e inkább szlovákul jegyet, de aztán végül mégis magyarul szólaltam meg. Nem háborodott fel, én meg megkönnyebbülve indultam el hátrafelé. Már elég sokan voltak a buszon, és csak egy másik ember mellett maradt szabad hely. Mikor odaértem, megkérdeztem, hogy szabad-e a hely. Szlovákul! Miközben ez az utas nagy eséllyel magyar volt!

A fronte di una lunga tradizione di studi dedicati al testamento tardomedievale la medievistica ha prestato un’attenzione solo occasionale all’esecuzione delle disposizioni ad pias causas  dei testatori e delle testatrici.  L’esecuzione dei legati pii si rivela invece il terreno di scelte cruciali, aperte a esiti diversificati e talora non previsti né prevedibili all’atto del testare. La concreta attuazione di quanto disposto dal testatore in occasione della confezione del proprio testamento si configura dunque come uno spazio di azione tutt’altro che rigidamente preordinato. Sondaggi e studi mirati hanno messo in evidenza come l’iter dell’esecuzione dei legati pii si concretizzi, sin dal Duecento, in azioni giuridiche e scelte economiche coinvolgenti una molteplicità di soggetti: gli eredi, il lignaggio, le chiese, i poveri, la civitas. Un larghissimo arbitrium era riservato ai fedecommissari, alla cui competenza  era demandata l’ottimizzazione dell’investimento in carità, culto e suffragio del testatore, e la gestione dei capitali in tal modo vincolati a una causa pia o alla restituzione dei ‘male ablata’.  Una fattispecie, quest’ultima, che, come hanno messo in luce studi recenti, viene dotata sin dal primo Duecento di uno statuto e procedure suoi propri.  I «Quaderni di storia religiosa medievale»/Qsrm intendono promuovere alcune riflessioni sul tema e insieme  stimolare un approfondimento della ricerca attraverso indagini di prima mano. L’appello è alla proposta di contributi su singoli temi e questioni oppure su studi di caso relativi a vicende di esecuzione o a contesti locali italiani ed europei compresi tra XII e XVII secolo.
Tra i molteplici aspetti e le possibili questioni da sviluppare segnaliamo:
• composizione e azione dei collegi di fedecommissari, con attenzione specifica alla fisionomia di genere (vedove, madri, sorelle o amiche incluse, talora con compiti specifici, tra i fedecommissari), all’incidenza di prelati, chierici, religiosi (mendicanti e non), laici penitenti e semireligiosi, confratelli e dirigenti di strutture assistenziali (ospedali, elemosinerie etc);
• Vicende della gestione dell’esecuzione di disposizioni pro anima di testatori e testatrici che implicavano la fondazione di legati pii perpetui, benefici, istituzioni caritative o di culto;
• Studi mirati sugli apparati burocratici preposti al controllo dell’esecuzione e alla gestione dei capitali mobilitati dalle disposizioni pro anima (vicari e ufficiali vescovili, magistrature, enti assistenziali).
• Studi sul ruolo svolto nell’esecuzione delle disposizioni pro anima da personaggi (uomini o donne laici o semi-religiosi, chierici e regolari) percepite dai contemporanei o additate dai successori come figure esemplari, a volte gratificate di culto pubblico.
• Studi sul ruolo svolto dalle istituzioni caritative o di culto di fisionomia pubblica (Misericordie o grandi ospedali soggetti al patronato comunale o signorile, grandi chiese) o privata (ospedali di confraternite o corporazioni, benefici e fondazioni soggette a patronato familiare) nell’esecuzione testamentaria e nella gestione dei patrimoni e degli oneri perpetui delle cause pie; 
Si auspicano in tal senso indagini mirate che valorizzino anzitutto la documentazione locale ancora inedita prodotta nel processo dell’esecuzione dei legati pii, come, ad esempio: 
• contabilità e scritture di gestione dell’esecuzione tenute direttamente dai fidecommissari o redatte in publica forma su loro mandato da notai,
• documenti, fascicoli processuali o scritture gestionali prodotte dagli ufficiali vescovili (vicari super executione testamentorum, procuratores pauperum) o da altri soggetti chiamati a verificare la compiutezza delle esecuzioni, o a sostituire gli esecutori testamentari inadempienti.
• vertenze relative agli ostacoli posti dagli eredi all’esecuzione di disposizioni pie, consilia e pareri legali in ordine a tali vertenze.
• processi e fascicoli giudiziari delle curie vescovili o dai tribunali inquisitoriali in materia testamentaria relative a materie connesse all’esecuzione di disposizioni pie o restituzioni d’usura.
• registri di enti assistenziali e confraternite coinvolta nell’esecuzione di legati pii perpetui e nella gestione dei beni che determinano la rendita su cui questi sono assisi.
Valorizzare in prima battuta queste testimonianze archivistiche, legate alla concretezza dell’azione e delle attività delle comunità e delle chiese locali, non esclude tuttavia affatto il riferimento alle fonti «alte», cioè normative e teologiche, sull’esecuzione, di cui anzi si intende cogliere la reale portata anche attraverso il confronto con quanto testimoniato dalle scritture  prodotte direttamente dai protagonisti dell’esecuzione.

Die Geschichte nicht-ärztlicher Heilberufe ist mittlerweile zu einem wichtigen Gegenstand der medizinhistorischen Forschung geworden. Insbesondere im Bereich der vormodernen Heilkunde lassen sich jedoch noch immer einige Leerstellen identifizieren. Dieses Desiderat nahm der Heidelberger Workshop zum Anlass, um einige Schlaglichter auf medizinisches Handeln in der Vor- und Frühmoderne zu werfen. Dieser Bericht fasst die zentralen Ergebnisse zusammen.

На основу фонда Министарства иностраних послова Краљевине Југославије − Административно-правно одељење (334/5), који је тренутно у фази архивистичке обраде у Архиву Југославије, у раду је уз помоћ релевантних извора и литературе издвојен велики број примера бугарских злочина на територији Краљевине Србије током Првог светског рата. Приказана су појединачна, групна и масовна убиства, злочини интернирања, принудног рада, противправног лишавања слободе, пљачке, спаљивања кућа и читавих села, као и присилне мобилизације. Злочини су обрађени и сортирани узимајући у обзир већа места.

The topic discussed here belongs much more to the history of the 70s of the twentieth century than to that of the sixteenth century. I have more to say about Jeno ˝Szu ˝cs-a highly influential historian in the 1970s and 1980s, one of those most responsible for revival of Hungarian historical studies 1 as well as one of the most significant researchers of the 1514 peasant war who has since been partially forgotten-than about the leader of the revolt, György Dózsa, himself. The following grotesque, typically Eastern European story took place not long after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968. The idea came from the highest circles within the 1970s political leadership, whichjust as todayused history for its own political objectives: high-ranking leaders decided to make 1972 a year commemorating Dózsa with an invented date of birth of 500 years previously. 2 The classical revolutionary symbols needed to be re-evoked. 3 Cultural policy was not in the least disturbed by the fact that Dózsa's date of birth had been "created" by pure speculation: no tangible data proved that the peasant leader was born in 1472. 4 The memorial year, in accordance with the customs of the era, represented a collective commission of sorts for historians: they were expected to write studies yielding new results that could be exploited by politics as well. Presumably even the politicians who had initiated the 500-year anniversary were surprised how seriously the profession took this request. The novelty and brave sincerity of the essays published in the memorial year caused an even bigger shock. 5 The quality and quantity

This study reflects the new concern with water as an essential force in all of life. Too little water means death, and too much water can have the same effect. Humans need good drinking water, and all cultural history has already confirmed the essential function of water. Living in the Anthropocene today, taking care of water and respecting nature's resources, both from a historical-literary and a natural-scientific perspective constitutes a conditio sine qua non for our future. Studying medieval and early modern writers' and artists' stance toward water provides us with a critically important discursive platform to understand the relationship between people and their natural environment in deep terms, uncovering the history of water awareness as it still affects us today.

Esta investigación contribuye al conocimiento sobre las estrategias de subsistencia y el modo de vida de los grupos humanos que habitaron la Depresión Central de Chiapas, una región fisiográfica clave del sureste de México. Desde una perspectiva teórica fundamentada en el materialismo histórico, en el marco de la Arqueología Social Ameroibérica, se realiza un estudio diacrónico de los restos faunísticos recuperados en las excavaciones sistemáticas de la cueva de Santa Marta, llevadas a cabo durante la década de 1970 y la primera década del siglo XXI. Mediante la aplicación de metodologías arqueozoológicas, como el análisis tafonómico y de isótopos estables, se examina la interacción entre las comunidades humanas y su entorno faunístico a lo largo de un extenso periodo cronológico. Este abarca desde el Pleistoceno final hasta el Holoceno medio, extendiéndose posteriormente a las ocupaciones asociadas a la secuencia cerámica, desde el Preclásico temprano (fase Mirla) hasta el Posclásico mesoamericano. El estudio busca esclarecer las dinámicas socioecológicas y los procesos de adaptación cultural en la región. Con nuestro trabajo complementamos los estudios faunísticos previos del sitio, que han dado prioridad a los niveles pleistocénicos y han atribuido la presencia de estos materiales a prácticas cinegéticas de los grupos cazadores-recolectores que poblaron inicialmente el sureste de México.
Como parte del estudio tafonómico reportamos los resultados del uso de un dispositivo portátil de fluorescencia de rayos X (XRF, siglas en ingles) en la parte mineral del hueso, comparando restos de vertebrados de distintos niveles de la secuencia estratigráfica del sitio con los de animales recientes y de Homo sapiens. El objetivo de utilizar la técnica de XRF es obtener información acerca de la historia del contexto arqueológico a través de las modificaciones físico-químicas de los materiales óseos, las cuales evaluamos mediante el análisis de la composición elemental del hueso compacto, y de sus variaciones en los distintos niveles del perfil arqueológico. Los resultados obtenidos revelan patrones significativos en la composición elemental de los restos óseos, particularmente en las proporciones de calcio (Ca) y fósforo (P), que presentan una correlación consistente con su procedencia estratigráfica. Esta relación sugiere que las variaciones en la preservación de estos elementos están directamente asociadas a las condiciones diagenéticas específicas de cada contexto de enterramiento, así como a los procesos tafonómicos que afectaron la conservación diferencial de los materiales arqueofaunísticos.
Por último, con el objetivo de reconstruir las condiciones paleoambientales asociadas al desarrollo cultural en la región, se realizó el análisis de isótopos estables (δ¹³C y δ¹⁸O) en fragmentos de esmalte dental y hueso de mamíferos de talla pequeña y media, procedentes de distintos niveles estratigráficos del sitio. Estos datos permiten inferir las preferencias ecológicas de las especies representadas en el registro fósil y, de manera indirecta, aportan información relevante sobre las estrategias de subsistencia y la interacción de los grupos humanos con el entorno local en el pasado.

The period of Tʿoros II's rule was a significant milestone in the history of Cilician Armenia. He successfully reconstituted the Ṛubenid principality, which had temporarily ceased to exist as a result of John II Komnenos' campaign. Although Tʿoros himself had been taken captive and transferred to Constantinople, he managed to return to Cilicia in the mid-1140s and gradually began reclaiming his ancestral lands. Manuel I's initial response to Tʿoros' actions was to dispatch a Byzantine expeditionary force led by Andronikos Komnenos, tasked with suppressing Tʿoros' newly established dominion (1151/2). However, the Armenian ishkhan managed to defeat Andronikos and further expand his holdings in the Cilician Plain. Preoccupied with other fronts, Manuel sought alternative means to resolve the Ṛubenid issue, first by enlisting the help of the Sultan of Ikonion, Masʿūd, and later by turning to Renaud of Châtillon, Prince of Antioch (1154-1156). Two Turkish assaults against Tʿoros failed to weaken him significantly, while the intervention of the Prince of Antioch backfired on the Byzantines, as it led Tʿoros and Raymond to launch a campaign against Cyprus. This event ultimately forced Manuel to take direct action. In 1158-1159, his grand campaign resulted in the submission, after the mediation of the King of Jerusalem, of both rulers to the Byzantine emperor. From that point forward, Tʿoros governed Cilicia as a client of Byzantium. Although tensions with Constantinople persisted, sources indicate that

This dissertation examines how the political message of the single-party regime in Turkey spread throughout the provinces between 1930 and 1945, in a post-imperial context shaped by the aftermath of the First World War and the eradication of non-Muslim and non-Turkish populations from Asia Minor. It contributes to the history of the Republican People’s Party (Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası), which ruled from 1923 to 1950 without true power sharing, by focusing on its provincial organization, specifically the Organization of People’s Preachers (Halk Hatipleri Teşkilâtı), established in September 1931. It explores the political and social conditions of the interwar period, investigating why the party invested in the political education of adults during a time marked by economic challenges and the Great Depression.
Analyzing the pedagogical project from 1931 onwards highlights key concepts and social categories such as “münevver” (enlightened) and “halk” (people). It shows how the “enlightened” took the stage, addressed crowds, and educated the rest of the population on behalf of the party and the republic it established. By examining the social trajectories and political careers of the People’s Preachers, this research contributes to the socio-history of political elites in the twentieth century within a post-imperial context.
This dissertation’s double analytical movement explores the political communication apparatus established by the Republican People’s Party to gain popular support and the education system focused on political education by the People’s Preachers. It reveals the interconnection between knowledge transmission, incorporating a gendered social ideal, and maintaining order. The research traces the genealogy of the “provincial intellectual” (taşra münevveri) in Turkey, examining the political and social transformations that contributed to its formation. It demonstrates how Turkish provincial intellectuals differed from their European counterparts by their social origins and political functions, such as law enforcement and intimidating dissidents. The research also offers an alternative reading of the history of single-party Turkey, linking its post-imperial nature with its post-genocidal dimension through the social trajectories and activities of the People’s Preachers in the context of demographic and social transformations in Anatolia.

They not only save time but also improve efficiency, safety, and the overall cooking experience. This article explores the importance of kitchen appliances, their different types, factors to consider before purchasing, and the future of kitchen technology. Importance of Kitchen Appliances Kitchen appliances are essential for modern living. They simplify tasks such as chopping, blending, cooking, freezing, and cleaning, allowing us to prepare meals with less effort. For example, a refrigerator ensures food stays fresh longer, while a microwave oven provides quick reheating solutions. Dishwashers, mixers, and induction cooktops all contribute to convenience and hygiene. Without these appliances, managing a busy lifestyle while maintaining healthy eating habits would be challenging. Moreover, appliances also enhance safety. Pressure cookers with automatic shut-off valves, induction cooktops that heat only the pan, and electric kettles with boil-dry protection reduce the risk of accidents. These features make modern kitchens more secure compared to traditional cooking methods.

В статье рассматриваются возможности и особенности работы через сайт-специфический танец с историей места и с индивидуальной памятью. Материалом для анализа служат собственные творческие работы автора статьи, реализованные с 2017 по 2020 г. в Москве. Они разделены в соответствии с тремя форматами: танцевальные экскурсии в центре города, «домашние лаборатории», посвященные типовому жилью и пространству собственного дома, и арт-исследование Басманного района. Автор рассматривает работы в русле перформативных исследований, стремится объединить взгляд теоретика и практика, позицию наблюдателя, автора и участника. Проанализировано, как в каждом случае происходит работа с наследием, как место и его история раскрываются через танец. Материал сравнивается с жанром авторской городской экскурсии как самым популярным сайт-специфическим способом знакомиться с историей города. Продемонстрировано, какие новые возможности дает обращение к телесности в дополнение к вербальной коммуникации; какие части истории возможно «перевести» на язык танца и перформанса и как по сравнению с экскурсией меняется взаимоотношение участников с местом и друг с другом. Temeljem analize objavljenih i neobjavljenih izvora: rapskih notarskih spisa (oporuke, ugovori), najstarije matične knjige vjenčanih župe Rab (1584.-1600.), Valierove vizitacije Rapske biskupije (1579.), odredaba komunalnoga statuta i dr., autorica razlaže više manjih mozaičnih tema kojima se dobiva slika svakodnevnoga života seljaštva koje je nastanjivalo sela rapskoga distrikta u drugoj polovici 16. stoljeća. Temeljne grane djelatnosti rapskih seljaka bile su obrada zemlje i stočarstvo (ovčarstvo i kozarstvo), što je bilo presudno za prehranu i odijevanje komunalnoga stanovništva, u složenim političko-ekonomskim okolnostima (ratovi, gospodarska kriza, epidemije itd.). Kroz ugovore razmatra se kolonatski odnos između vlasnika zemlje i stoke (patricijata, bogatoga građanstva, Crkve) i težaka (kolona) koji su živjeli u rapskim selima obrađujući zemlju te pastira koji su vodili stada ovaca i koza na ispašu. Rasvijetljeno je i pitanje galiota na mletačkim galijama, a tu su službu vršili, među ostalima, i seljaci iz rapskoga distrikta. Kvantitativnom i kvalitativnom analizom posljednjih volja dobiveni su raznoliki podaci o oporučiteljima iz seoskog distrikta, te je izvršena distribucija oporučitelja prema spolu, mjestu pripadnosti (selo – grad), zatim su promatrani razlozi sastavljanja oporuka, mjesto podrijetla oporučitelja, mjesto njihove sahrane, bračni status, mjesto vjenčanja i sezonsko kretanje broja vjenčanja, broj djece po seoskim obiteljima i dr. Analizom darovanih oporučnih legata po vrstama razmatra se imovina seljaka ostavljana u nasljeđe, a kroz raščlambu primatelja testamentarnih legata promatra se povezanost oporučitelja sa članovima obitelji, ali i šire seoske zajednice (seoskim bratovštinama i lokalnom crkvom kao središtima duhovnoga i društvenoga života).

Why did early modern households bring the polluting energy of fossil fuels into their homes? For a long time, peat and coal were considered inferior to firewood due to their smoky nature. And yet, by the late eighteenth century, these ‘dirty’ fuels had become not just acceptable but even desirable — precisely as consumer ideals of domestic cleanliness and private health were gaining in prominence. How can we explain this paradox? This article shifts the focus in energy history from the ‘outdoor’ to the ‘indoor’ by exploring the ecology of everyday life. Using household manuals, medical advice books, autobiographical documents, and other narrative sources, it examines how discussions of heating and air quality grappled with the tension between smoky warmth and clean, fresh air at home. It argues that the early modern energy transition involved an important eco-cultural transformation, in which domestic consumers increasingly detached themselves from the ‘dark’ side of fossil fuels, only to emphasize their ‘bright’ side. By the dawn of the modern consumer society, peat and coal were seen no longer as sources of smoke nuisance but as essential elements of a warm, cosy, and clean home.

В статье показан масштаб проблемы трамвайных аварий в раннесоветских городах, выявлены ее причины, рассмотрены предлагаемые и реализуемые меры по их устранению, а также дана оценка эффективности осуществляемых действий. Основными факторами катастроф было игнорирование правил безопасности, ошибки вагоновожатых, малое число вагонов и их низкое качество. Несмотря на ряд принимаемых мер, вопрос создания безопасной системы городского транспорта было невозможно решить в нестабильных экономических и социальных условиях 1920-х гг.

Статья посвящена феномену популярности шахмат в Советской России 1920-х гг., которые за короткий период превратились в по-настоящему массовое увлечение среди различных слоев населения. Рассмотрены причины их поддержки властью, способы популяризации в обществе, выявлена совокупность факторов, способствовавших их распространению. Сделан вывод о том, что одной из важных причин востребованности шахмат была их доступность и дешевизна. Это было особенно важно в трудных финансовых условиях, в которых действовали центры распространения культурного досуга (клубы, ленинские комнаты и пр.). Свою роль сыграли также общемировые тенденции и позитивный образ шахмат, конструируемый, в частности, через демонстрацию их популярности среди великих людей прошлого. Также проводились попытки всячески адаптировать или модернизировать игру для решения агитационно-пропагандистских и военно-воспитательных задач.

В центре внимания настоящего исследования находится история университетских столовых в 1920-х - середине 1930-х гг., рассмотренных как пространства повседневности, оказывавшие влияние на складывание нового советского «красного» студента. Основными источниками стали материалы периодических изданий Ленинградского, Казанского, Саратовского, Свердловского, Московского и других университетов, в которых проблема организации студенческого питания получила широкое освещение. Были привлечены также архивные материалы, посвященные материально-бытовому положению студенчества, и воспоминания бывших студентов и сотрудников университетов, в которых отражены различные аспекты студенческой жизни. В работе показано, что основные проблемы университетских столовых на протяжении всего рассматриваемого периода оставались в целом неизменными: низкое качество еды, пыль, грязь, несоблюдение элементарных норм гигиены, очереди и пр. К этому добавлялось тяжелейшее материальное положение студентов, которым не хватало денег даже на удовлетворение минимальных жизненных потребностей. Власть старалась канализировать недовольство студентов, перенаправляя его на руководство и сотрудников столовой, представителей органов, ответственных за организацию питания, и даже профессуру. Сложившаяся ситуация во многом отражала процессы, которые происходили в связи с активно проводившейся пролетаризацией высшей школы. Студенты постепенно теряли особый статус и самостоятельную роль в обществе, каковыми обладали в дореволюционный период. Вместо этого они приучались к покорности, унизительному существованию в условиях формализма и неэффективности советских управленческих механизмов, приобретали навыки борьбы за доступ к скудным привилегиям, одной из которых было качественное питание.

Ethiopia experienced its worst political crisis in recent times and looked like it may experience sustained violence. The state partially addressed the crisis, again showing its resilience. Survival, however, is only half the equation: we are yet to see whether Ethiopia will use the unrest as a catalyst for enhanced democratic and economic progress.

The question now is whether Ethiopia maintains her antifragility, or is it in a trapped transition and deemed to fail in its ambitious endeavors.

A no-man’s land, where extremism has pushed each person to a place of only themselves, the past, and loneliness. The past is multifaceted—who dares to betray it? Hardly anyone. We arrived here through the past, and we’re too late to surpass it without proper self-awareness. Regrettably, that awareness is another no-man’s land unique to each person—no universal formula, nothing. We call it nirvana, but we know it’s not nirvana; we are not that. We are just people with dreams, stepping into the world with something to create from the materials we already have, and inadvertently, this aligns with what the world lacks. We are certainly not saints, at least not with that initial preparation—no one thinks that. It’s just a dive into it, sacrificing youth with passion to find answers for ourselves and revel in them. Unfortunately, the inertia is too great—who is brave enough to step beyond it?

Předkládaná diplomová práce si klade za cíl provést prostřednictvím komparativní metody analýzu vybraných typů vrchnostenských písemností, vydávaných úředníky panských kanceláří na sklonku 16. a v 1. polovině 17. století za účelem zjištění podoby formálního styku vrchnosti s poddanými, stylu úřadování a způsobu komunikace vrchnosti s úředníky.

This  essay  explores  the  area of  contemporary  biography,  i.e.,  biographical  research about living people conducted in the field of historical sciences. A special emphasis is put on oral history and its use in selected biographies, older and recent, which serve as examples of several specificities of this approach. Furthermore, the author finds two ide-al-typical roles that the main protagonist may play in this type of biographical writing, both participative, with the first being relatively “silent” and the second more “vocal.” The essay touches on problems such as negotiating the roles of the researchers and the research subject, authorization, research ethics, current legislation, and the pros and cons of this approach. More broadly, this article aims to widen the range of theoretical and methodological discussion in the field of biography studies. It also illustrates that contemporary oral history-based biographies have a long tradition from which we may draw on for our future projects.

Level of adoption was defined and determined as a function of 1) frequency of use of the microwave oven in comparison to these persons for making this journey of discovery an exciting and fruitful one. This article examines the authorship of the canon (a liturgical hymn cycle) dedicated to Saint Thaddeus the Apostle, which has traditionally been attributed either to Grigor Pahlavuni or to Catholicos Grigor Anavarzetsi. The study revisits the attribution proposed by S. Amatuni, who based his conclusions on an 18th-century hymnbook and certain linguistic features.

Challenging this view, Madoyan argues that the poetic style, thematic architecture, and structural parallels between this canon and other confirmed works by Anavarzetsi point decisively toward the latter’s authorship. The article identifies recurring elements—such as Marian doxologies, consistent rhyme schemes, and distinct metrical patterns—that align closely with Anavarzetsi’s known liturgical compositions.

It concludes that Catholicos Grigor Anavarzetsi—often referred to as “the Singer”—is the likely author of the Canon of Saint Thaddeus, thereby reaffirming his central role in shaping the Armenian hymnographic tradition.

Catholicos Grigor Anavarzetsi, who lead the Armenian church between 1293 and 1307, was not only a circumspect political actor but a talented author as well. Though he had authored over 33 cannonized Sharakans, only five of them are known to scholars. The author has uncovered 8 heretofore unknown cannons of catholicos Anavarzetsi one of which is the candle-light baptism cannon; this he has copied from a manuscript stored in the Mashtots Matenadaran of Erevan.
The cannon consists of 31 verses which constitute 7 sharakans. According to the author, these Sharakans can not be considered poetry in the full sense of the word, because most of the best Armenian Sharakans are those which have little to do with biblical events and ceremonies, since the authors do not find themselves restrained with a set of fixed terminology and scenery.

The author refers to the work of one of the most prominent spiritual and cultural figures of Cilician Armenia — Grigor Anavarzetsi (1293–1307). The article offers, for the first time, a detailed analysis of his canon, raising and explaining a number of issues related to it.

Czuczor Ferenccel végzett kutatásunk nyomán kiderült, hogy az ottani szabadságharcosok megszervezésében két egykori cserkészvezető – név szerint Harcos Ottó és Krassói Ferenc – is jelentős szerepet vállalt.

Az itt közzétett interjúban az utóbbi személy, Krassói Ferenc (1912–1981) tanár és cserkészvezető karaktere elevenedik meg. A közlemény a pécsi ellenálló csoport eddig egy ismeretlen szervezőjének életútjába enged betekintést. Egészen a gyermekkortól kezdődően, a cserkészetben való tevékenységen át, az 1945-öt követő koncepciós perben való elítéléséről és az 1956-os szerepvállalásáról is értékes információk olvashatók. Krassói Ferenc életére rányomta a bélyegét a második világháborút követő átmeneti, majd szocialista időszak. Többek között a cserkészet betiltása, a meghurcoltatás is szerepet játszott az 1956-os szerepvállalásában. Az interjúban említett ismerősök és Krassói hozzájuk való viszonyából megcsillannak azok a motiváló tényezők, melyek a mecseki ellenállásban való részvételéhez vezették őt és feltehetően a pécsi polgári körök további tagjait.

The aim of this article is to present the material framework of life of the noble Orlik family from Łaziska, owners of, among others, the Żywocice Dolne estate (Czech: Dolní Životice, German: Schönstein) near Opava, which was one of the so-called enclaves in Silesia. I first outline this family's history and the circumstances of their members' appearance in Czech lands. After a brief characterization of the source materials used in the research (mainly inventories of movable property from the castle in Żywocice Dolne), I reconstruct the interests of this nobility, both bibliophilic and in collecting other household and personal items. These movable assets, as my research shows, constituted an essential part of the microcosm created by the Orliks within the walls of the Żywocice Dolne castle. Their examination allows, on the one hand, to identify the personal preferences and needs of the representatives of the mentioned family, and on the other hand, makes it possible to find out how they used their property to manifest social status and prestige, and to what extent they imitated the lifestyle of wealthier social classes.

The article discusses the main threads of interest among historians publishing in the underground journal “Krytyka” during the years 1978–1989. It highlights the most important topics in contempo- rary history that, due to censorship reasons, either did not exist or were distorted in the official historiography of the People’s Re- public of Poland (PRL). These topics included the history of the Polish armed anti-communist underground, the crimes of thesecurity apparatus, the history of the Polish Socialist Party, Polish-Ukrainian, and Polish-Jewish relations, as well as key issues in post-war political history, such as the events of March 1968. The article devotes considerable attention to the authors of articles that aimed to restore memory and supplement knowledge about these issues. It also attempts to reflect on their involvement in the opposition movement in the context of their previous professional and political experiences.
