So far, researchers have used a wellbeing-centered approach to catalyze successful intergenerational collaboration (IGC) in innovative activities. However, due to the subject’s multidisciplinary nature, there is still a dearth of comprehensive research devoted to constructing the IGC system. Thus, the purpose of this study is to fill a research void by providing a conceptual framework for information technology (IT) system designers to use as a jumping-off point for designing an IGC system with a wellbeing-oriented design. A systematic literature study was conducted to identify relevant terms and develop a conceptual framework based on a review of 75 selected scientific papers. Though innovation is considered to be the lifeblood of business, speed of innovation is more critical than innovation itself. IT plays a critical role in the process of open innovation as it is based upon collaborating with suppliers and customers. IT enables increased collaboration and generation of insights across the firm's partner network. We examine the role of IT-enabled capabilities in determining the speed of innovation. We hypothesize that collaboration with customers is more effective than collaboration with suppliers for firms to speedily innovate. Further, a firm's digital collaboration with customers is more effective when Business Intelligence systems are used. Econometric analyses of data from 249 U.S. firms yields strong support for our hypotheses. While both customer-side and supplierside digital collaboration are positively associated with innovation speed, the effect of customer-side digital collaboration on innovation speed is stronger. Furthermore, Business Intelligence systems use amplifies the effect of customer-side digital collaboration.

This study explores the impact of project management-oriented digital collaboration tools-specifically Asana, Trello, and Jira-on project delivery timelines in remote technology teams, with a particular focus on mid-sized firms (50-500 employees). Leveraging an exploratory sequential mixed-methods approach grounded in a pragmatic paradigm, the research integrates qualitative thematic analysis of secondary case studies with quantitative survey data from remote team professionals. Drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) framework, the study examines how tool usage intensity, organizational support, tool integration, and communication efficiency influence project delivery outcomes. Findings suggest that higher levels of digital tool adoption are associated with reduced timeline deviations, particularly when communication is efficient and supported by structured onboarding and platform integration. The study identifies communication efficiency as a key mediating factor and underscores the moderating roles of organizational training and tasktool alignment. Regression analysis further confirms that tool usage alone is not sufficient-its impact is conditioned by contextual variables such as team size, project complexity, and geographic dispersion. By focusing on mid-sized tech firms, the study fills a critical gap in existing literature, which often generalizes findings across organizations of varying scale. The research contributes to theory by extending TAM and TTF to outcome-focused variables such as delivery timelines and offers practical insights for managers aiming to optimize remote workflows. It also holds significance for software developers, policymakers, and scholars interested in digital transformation, remote work, and agile project management.

This case study investigates how the digital transformation of urban design governance following the COVID-19 outbreak has led to changes in approaches to citizen participatory design in Seoul, South Korea. Drawing on empirical data from the Seoul Citizen Design Bureau – an annual participatory program initiated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government since 2015 – and interviews with facilitators and participants, the study ethnographically examines the emergence of new local design actors amid unforeseen circumstances like the pandemic. The research sheds light on the diverse capacities and intermediary roles of digital collaboration tools such as ZoomTM and MuralTM, which not only enabled citizen involvement in design during the pandemic but also challenged established practices in institution-driven participatory design in Korea. By contextualising this analysis within a turbulent historical juncture, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of remote ethnography in uncovering the influence of “more-than-humans” in participatory design within the unique sociocultural setting of South Korea.

This investigation aims to find how Chilean education is perceived by 69 Englishspeaking online newspaper articles from 12 different countries. A qualitative study coherent with metaphoric analysis was carried out to identify metaphors about education and students. Conceptual metaphors found in the 99 fragments taken from these news articles are organized into two dimensions. Each dimension deals with a different topic related to education in Chile and how it is represented by online media: Chilean education system, and student role and education conflict. Most of the newspapers scrutinized focused on the commercial and conflictive side of Chilean education, making the categories of Commercialism and War the most frequent ones. The most mentioned topic was the student conflict as the main subject of analysis. Chilean education can be defined as in conflict due to the contrasting viewpoints of the stakeholders involved in it and the inability to come to terms with each party. This unchanging state of affairs has led to ceaseless protests and general unrest from the Chilean population.

We present a method by which to convert a large corpus of website traffic data into interactive and practical taste graph visualizations. The website traffic data lists individual visitors' level of interest in specific pages across the website; it is a tripartite list consisting of anonymized visitor ID, webpage ID, and a score that quantifies interest level. Taste graph visualizations reveal psychological profiles by revealing connections between consumer tastes; for example, an individual with a taste for A may be also have a taste for B. We describe here the method by which we map the web traffic data into a form that can be displayed as interactive taste graphs, and we describe design strategies for communicating the revealed information. In the context of the publishing industry, this interactive visualization is a tool that renders the large corpus of website traffic data into a form that is actionable for marketers and advertising professionals. It could equally be used as a method to personalize services in the domains of government services, education or health and wellness.

This paper addresses the need for theoretical advancements in understanding team processes and the impact of technology on teams. Specifically, it examines the use of digital collaboration technologies by organizational teams and their effect on team communication and collaboration. Using the concept of affordances as a theoretical lens, the paper explores the potential relationships between technology affordances and essential team processes. The advantage of tangible interaction is that it allows people to interact naturally. Tabletops are a collective support which can be used by several people simultaneously. In previous work, tabletop and tangible interaction were shown to be of interest in the learning process; the previous application was based on a classification task helping very young children in the recognition and learning of colors on one tabletop. This paper concerns distribution between connected tabletops. In order to provide a supervision tool in our case, this paper proposes more generally to distribute user interfaces between interactive tabletops which use tangible interaction. A design model is proposed for this type of system and is applied to design a distributed application for children and a supervisor on two interactive tabletops. An evaluation, with twelve test groups, each composed of three participants, has involved a distributed application for the learning and recognition of colors. This study is supported by observations, trace analysis and questionnaires. In the study, we analyze if design choices, guided by the model and providing generic objects, allow the users to interact remotely, easily and understandably. The user satisfaction when using the distributed tangible tabletops is also studied. After the discussion, a conclusion and future works are proposed.

Interactive and tangible computing platforms have garnered increased interest in the pursuit of embedding active learning pedagogies within curricula through educational technologies. Whilst Tangible User Interface (TUI) systems have successfully been developed to edutain children in various research, TUI architectures have seen limited deployment in more complex and abstract domains. In light of these limitations, this paper proposes an active TUI framework that addresses the challenges experienced in teaching and learning artificial intelligence (AI) within higher educational institutions. The proposal extends an aptly designed tabletop TUI architecture with the novel interactive paradigm of active tangible manipulatives to provide a more engaging and effective user interaction. The paper describes the deployment of the proposed TUI framework within an undergraduate laboratory session to aid in the teaching and learning of artificial neural networks. The experiment is assessed against currently adopted educational computer software and the obtained results highlight the potential of the proposed TUI framework to augment students' gain in knowledge and understanding of abstracted threshold concepts in higher education.

Our tangible touch table interface mapping system was designed for adults to complete short map-based interactive problem solving tasks using purpose-designed model objects. The table interface was compared with the closest existing traditionally equivalent method using a within subjects exercise of 64 adult members of the general public in-situ at the local library and museum. The hypothesis investigated whether "a tangible multitouch table interface improved understanding of preparing for bushfire using map-based constructivist learning tasks". The system design and content founded upon adult learning preferences (Knowles et al. 2005) further evolved using an iterative process by participatory involvement with three bushfire community groups. After using the preparing for bushfire tangible interactive mapping system all of the participants improved upon their pre-test scores indicating that they learned from the experience (t(31)=-9.08,p<0.001).

Multimodal interaction offers many potential benefits for data visualization. It can help people stay in the flow of their visual analysis and presentation, with the strengths of one interaction modality offsetting the weaknesses of others. Furthermore, multimodal interaction offers strong promise for leveraging data visualization on diverse display hardware including mobile, AR/VR, and large displays. However, prior research on visualization and interaction techniques has mostly explored a single input modality such as mouse, touch, pen, or more recently, natural language. The unique challenges and opportunities of synergistic multimodal interaction for data visualization have yet to be investigated. This workshop will bring together researchers with expertise in visualization, interaction design, and natural user interfaces. We aim to build a community of researchers focusing on multimodal interaction for data visualization, explore opportunities and challenges in our research, and establish an agenda for multimodal interaction research specifically for data visualization.

Open source software represents a novel form of organizing that leaves digital trace data for organizational researchers to analyze using computational methods. Computational social science has emerged as an important approach to understanding patterns that represent latent social structures in sociological, organizational, and technical phenomena. Within the context of open and digitalized collaboration the clearest manifestation of computational social science has been social network analysis. While social network analysis is a powerful approach for understanding social phenomena in terms of their latent relational social structure, the network lens does not capture the entirety of social structures. Procedural social structures undergirding recurrent patterns of action form another important element of latent social structure. Analyzing such structures requires alternative methods able to deal with historydependent patterning of activities. Therefore, we investigate the concepts of latent relational and procedural structures, and discuss computational approaches for analyzing patterns and interdependencies among such structures.

COVID-19 brought home working for UK workplaces, necessitating rapid adoption of innovative online digital collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams©, thereby presenting challenges to workforces with little prior experience of such digital technologies. The paper presents research on the concept of intelligent government in the context of the use of IoT technologies and wireless sensor networks. Smart governance targets the future of public services and focuses on using new technologies to streamline decision-making and management processes. The extending of modern ICT capacities and the increasing need for information services systems widespread impose the need to find solutions to the interoperability problems at the technical, informational and organizational level. Our research has focused on interoperability issues and on finding solutions to the challenges process of moving from eGovernment to smart governance. We argue that the use of tangibles facilitates understanding abstract concepts, and facilitates many concrete learning scenarios. Another advantage of using tangibles over screen-based tools is that they foster collaboration, which can promote a productive working and learning environment. We speculate that collaborative data exploration can be a productive educational activity for citizens in their communities and in the classroom, and we suggest our tool as a means to do this.

Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology that has attracted both practitioners and academics attention in recent years. Several conceptual and few empirical studies have been published focusing on addressing current issues and recommending the future research directions of supply chain management. To identify how blockchain can contribute to supply chain management, this paper conducts a systematic review through bibliometric and network analysis. We determined the key authors, significant studies, and the collaboration patterns that were not considered by the previous publications on this angel of supply chain management. Using citation and co-citation analysis, key supply chain areas that blockchain could contribute are pinpointed as supply chain management, finance, logistics, and security. Furthermore, it revealed that Internet of Things (IoT) and smart contracts are the leading emerging technologies in this field. The results of highly cited and co-cited articles demonstrate that blockchain could enhance transparency, traceability, efficiency, and information security in supply chain management. The analysis also revealed that empirical research is scarce in this field. Therefore, implementing blockchain in the real-world supply chain is a considerable future research opportunity.

In this paper, we present a bibliographic review that contains the most important aspects of the digital transformation in scientific collaboration. We reviewed 162 scientific papers where authors have identified and analysed the digital changes in scientific research and the impact they have generated in the scientific community. The main research question for this bibliographic review is the following: What are the key dimensions of digital transformation in scientific collabora-tion? The objective is to explain the changes in design practices in the science assessment criteria and ways of sharing knowledge through new techniques and software arising from stabilization of new tools. We will observe the most important aspects of the digital transformation in science, with the main contributions from the most representative authors in this area. We show how open access and open science can solve the digital divide in science to create new modes of scientific communication.

Objective: to obtain key phrases from OnePetro on "Digital Transformation" topic (petroleum context) and compare them with key phrases from Scopus (more general context). In Scopus, we try to limit context by technical topics, see Scopus query in the text below.  The purpose of such comparison is to find nonordinary items in general context which could be useful for petroleum context.

Emotional remark: I was deeply impressed when text mining of titles and abstracts from Scopus prompted the phrase "cyber-physical systems data analytics"  (Table 2) and then in dimensions.ai the query '"cyber-physical systems" AND analytic' suggested 31 publications in 2010 and 2030 in 2018!

Results: 

- "Cyber-physical systems data analytics" could be an  attractive emergence  topic for petroleum domain based on experience in other industries. Emphasis on analytics for cyber-physical systems.
- The concept of "platform" are important for both petroleum and common domains, in petroleum domain the  "IOT" term  is more frequent but  "analysis" is less frequent. The concept "cyber-physical systems data analytics" could incorporate both "IOT" and  "analysis".
- KH Coder 3 gives the most attractive results by extracting key phrases from titles and abstracts compare to VOSviewer and authors and KW+

Eastern Mediterranean and Western Asia are areas that have been affected in the past by intense movements and contacts among a number of different cultures, a large part of which still deserves to be properly outlined and identified. The methods that scholars can utilize to face such a challenge include very fruitful and promising support in quantitative approaches which, however, often remain experimental. The main problematic issue seems to be the lack of a debate in which the different approaches can be compared and coordinated, of course, taking into account the peculiarities of the research fields related to these regions, languages and cultures. The object of this session, therefore, is to provide just such an occasion for an actual debate on the strategies that consider how to organise and analyse the corpora of data, potentially with digital collaboration i.e. crowd-sourcing. Any kind of applications of old and new models and the logics involved in the study of cultural features can be included; the basic aim is to compare and share experiments in the fields of E-Philology, semantic annotation, data mining, open archives, digitization of information, automated integration of missing, incomplete or corrupted data, and the like. Philological works and any types of archaeological perspectives on written documents are warmly welcome. In any case, it is of course recommended that the adopted methodology be clearly described. The chronological range goes from the Prehistory to the Middle Ages, geographically covering all regions from the Iranian plateau to the Hellenic peninsula, and from the Black Sea to North Eastern Africa and to the Red Sea area. Besides concrete applications with results, purely theoretical proposals-as well projects still in progress-are also welcome.
