The purpose of this paper was to propose and explore the methodical and multimedia environment required for the acquisition of ICT competences in the field of Logo programming of future compulsory education teachers. According to the student teachers' education curriculum, among other ICT competence requirements, the future teachers are to acquire relevant knowledge and skills in Logo programming. In order to determine the level of competence acquired, a methodical-qualitative evaluation of the environment, in the form of a web application, has been conducted by 50 students of The Faculty of Teacher Education of the University of Zagreb. Research results show that the environment contributes to the more effective acquisition of ICT competences of future teachers, especially in the field of computer programming.

This study focuses on the development of an assessment framework tool for improving ERP student’s comprehension of ERP applications that match industry requirements. This paper illustrates how to improve student knowledge and assist the teacher in better understanding their students’ mastery of ERP by using an Industry-Based assessment framework tool. The research completed in this study, including the review of literature supports the idea that there is a need for a more complete assessment of ERP skill sets and that these skill sets should best represent industry needs. We propose that an assessment framework tool can incorporate in the ERP education agile practices to improve teaching effectiveness and facilitate learning of critical concepts. The essence of this model will attempt to concentrate on literature review and data collection.

In networking, topology is the layout of a computer network, including how its nodes are connected to one another and communicate. Topologies can be either logical or physical. Nodes in topologies usually include devices like switches, routers, and software with switch and router features. A graph is a common way to represent network topologies. In network topology graphs, devices are represented as network nodes, and the connections between them are shown as lines. There are various types of network topology depending on how the network has to be set up.

E-learning has the potential to be a very personalized experience and can be tailored to the individual involved. So far science museums have yet to tap into this potential to any great extent, partly due to the relative newness of the technology involved and partly due to the expense. This chapter covers some of the speculative efforts that may improve the situation for the future, including the SAGRES project and the Ingenious website among other examples. It is hoped that this will be helpful to science museums and centers that are considering the addition of personalization features to their own website. Currently website personalization should be used with caution, but larger organizations should be considering the potential if they have not already started to do so.

This paper presents a Scientometric Study on "Metrics of Computer Society Transactions on IEEE" for the study period 2007-2016 (Ten Years). The following areas such as the year-wise distribution of contribution, impact factor of the journals, year of inception of the journals, periodicity of the journals, citation analysis, collaboration of countries for research, funding agencies, the collaboration of organizations by country wise and area of research concentration have been analyzed. 30 journals have been identified for the study of Computer Society Transactions on IEEE. These journals have been identified based on various quality parameters such as impact factor, citations, review of the journal and reputation, etc. The output of the study is 29258 papers have been published in the marked period of the study. The journal named "IEEE Transactions on VLSI has 2357(8.05%) papers withstand on first in its row as high published number of papers. The journal named "IEEE Transactions on Computational Social System" has 48 (0.16%) papers as on the lowest one. The maximum number of journals of the IEEE Computer Society comes under the subject "Networks" 11(36.6%).

So weit sich das Feld der Erörterungen von Kultur und Technik also auch erstrecken mag, es ist davon auszugehen, dass der Zusammenhang von Theorie und Praxis, der ihnen zu Grunde liegt, einen sinnvollen Diskurs zwischen allen Ansätzen ermöglicht, unabhängig davon, von wo aus, wie und mit welchen Mitteln sie dieses Verhältnis gedanklich erschließen. Zusammenfassung: [1. Prolog: Was ist das Internet-ein Computernetz?] Als Ausgangspunkt dieses Beitrags dient keine Frage, sondern ein Wunsch-nämlich der zu begreifen, womit wir es eigentlich zu tun haben, wenn wir von dem Internet reden. Immerhin handelt es sich hierbei um ein Phänomen, mit dem sehr viele Assoziationen verbunden werden. Um diesem Zusammenhang nachzuspüren, werden zwei Wege verfolgt, auf denen Antworten entwickelt werden, die uns darüber aufklären, was das Internet ist. [2. Rekonstruktion: Metaphern, Abstraktionen, und wie sie es tun!] Der eine Weg ist der, sich ein Bild von etwas zu machen. Und wenn das nicht geht, weil man es nicht sehen kann, oder es zu komplex ist, um direkt beobachtbar zu sein, bemüht man eben andere Bilder, um mit ihrer Hilfe Eindrücke und Erfahrungen zusammenzubinden, um abzutasten, welche Aspekte sie richtig wiedergeben und welche nicht. Der andere Weg ist der, sich kein Bild von etwas zu machen, sondern diesem Etwas das abzugewinnen, wofür es steht. Dieses Für-etwas-anderes-Stehen ist die Eigenschaft von Symbolen, die von dem, worauf sie referieren, abstrahieren, um es aus dieser Distanz heraus begreifen zu können. [3. Reflexion: Über Technizität & Medialität hinaus] Das Internet ist etwas Technisches, gleichzeitig aber auch etwas Mediales. Vor dem Hintergrund der Charakterisierung des Internet mit Hilfe von Metaphern und Abstraktionen ist zu diskutieren, ob es dabei bleiben kann. Muss darüber nicht vielmehr in den Dimensionen der Kultur und des Sozialen nachgedacht werden? [4. Epilog: ein (r)evolutionäres Projekt und seine ungewisse Zukunft] Bestimmungen des Internet gibt es viele. Zur Frage des Sinns dieser Bestimmungen gibt es hingegen nur wenige Arbeiten. Ganz überwiegend wird dabei nach Bestimmungsgründen gefragt, nach (individuellen) Erfahrungshorizonten und (kollektiven) Verwertungsstrategien etwa. Diese Arbeiten verfahren diskursiv-rekonstruierend. Vernachlässigt bleibt dabei der Versuch einer ebenso reflexiven wie substantiellen Bestimmung. Dieser Aufgabe-einer Metabestimmung des Internet-wird im Resümee nachgegangen.

Vor dem Hintergrund der rapiden Entwicklung der Informations-und Kommunikationstechnologien (ICTs) im Allgemeinen und der Computervermittelten Kommunikation (CMC) im Besonderen ist der Ausgangspunkt unserer Überlegungen die Frage nach der Natur der sozio-kulturellen und sozial-psychologischen Veränderungen, die mit ihrer zunehmend sich verbreiternden Aneignung und Nutzung einhergehen. Diese ist erst in Teilen ausgelotet, aufgearbeitet und verstanden worden. Dies verwundert insofern nicht, als die Diskrepanz der eingesetzten Mittel, um diese Technologien gesellschaftsweit zu implementieren, und der Mittel, um die damit für Kultur und Gesellschaft einhergehenden Einfl üsse, Potentiale, Optionen und Konsequenzen abzuschätzen, ganz offensichtlich außerordentlich ist. Mithin offenbart sich hier ein substantieller Mangel an Demokratie, nämlich hinsichtlich der eingeleiteten Weichenstellungen gegenwärtiger und zukünftiger gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung. Gleichzeitig ist konstatierbar, dass die Herausforderung von Gesellschafts-und Kommunikationswissenschaften kaum größer sein könnte, angesichts der Geschwindigkeit, Qualität und Reichweite der Veränderungen, aber auch angesichts der methodologischen und theoretischen Prepariertheit zur Verarbeitung derselben (vgl. Neverla 2001). Um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden, sind zwei Punkte vorab anzuschneiden, 1.) das Problem von konjunkturellen Vorverständnissen (auf der diskursanalytischen Ebene), und 2.) das Problem von deterministischen Herangehensweisen (auf der substantiellen Analyseebene). 1

Als Ausgangspunkt unserer Überlegungen dient keine Frage, sondern etwas allem Fragen Vorausliegendes, ein Wunsch-nämlich der zu begreifen, womit wir es eigentlich zu tun haben, wenn wir von dem Internet, also von etwas (scheinbar) Bestimmten reden. Warum verspüren wir diesen Wunsch? Eine der Antworten rekurriert auf eine anthropologische Konstante, wonach es uns Menschen nun mal wesenseigen dazu drängt, die Welt verstehen zu wollen, Unsicherheit zu reduzieren, Chancen zu nutzen, Gefahren zu meiden oder ihnen zu begegnen, Probleme zu lösen oder schlicht neugierig zu sein. Philosophisch genommen, könnte man auch das Bestreben, sich selbst zu transzendieren, ins Feld führen. Möglicherweise ist die Triebfeder aber auch "nur" eine Irritation, ein Gefühl, an etwas teilzuhaben, dessen Tragweite einem unklar ist. Das Internet. Im Mittelpunkt steht damit ein ebenso nüchterner wie schillernder, inzwischen massenhaft verwendeter Begriff, mit dem viel Verschiedenes assoziiert wird. Dem inflationären Gebrauch des Wortes zum Trotz, und ungeachtet der Tatsache, dass inzwischen wohl jeder weiß, was damit gemeint ist, ist es so, dass wir von einem gemeinsamen Verständnis ebenso weit entfernt sind, wie eine allgemeingültige Aufarbeitung des damit gemeinten Phänomens noch aussteht. Der Cyberspace, die virtuelle Realität eines Reichs von Freiheit und Abenteuer, ist das nicht lediglich ein Konglomerat miteinander verdrahteter Rechenmaschinen? Warum beflügelt ein Gebilde, von dem schlicht als einem Computer-Netzwerk gesprochen wird, die Phantasie in einem Maße wie kaum ein anderes von Menschenhand geschaffenes Ding? Auf die Frage "Was ist das Internet-ein Computernetz?" kann es also nur eine Antwort geben: Nein, weit mehr! Es ist kein "so", auch kein "entweder/oder", sondern ein "und und und". 1 Es "gibt" also keine (verbindliche) Antwort auf die Frage, was das Internet sei. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven language models (chatbots) progressively accelerate the collection and translation of environmental evidence that could be used to inform planetary conservation plans and strategies. Yet, the consequences of chatbot-generated conservation content have never been globally assessed. Drawing on distributive, recognition, procedural, and epistemic dimensions of environmental justice, we interviewed and analysed 30,000 responses from ChatGPT on ecological restoration expertise, stakeholder engagements, and techniques. Our results show that more than two-thirds of the chatbot's answers rely on the expertise of male academics working at universities in the United States, while largely ignoring evidence from low-and lower-middle-income countries (7%) and Indigenous and community restoration experiences (2%). A focus on planting and reforestation techniques (69%) underpins optimistic environmental outcomes (60%), neglecting holistic technical approaches that consider non-forest ecosystems (25%) and non-tree species (8%). This analysis highlights how biases in AI-driven knowledge production can reinforce Western science, overlooking diverse sources of expertise and perspectives regarding conservation research and practices. In the fast-paced domain of generative AI, safeguard mechanisms are needed to ensure that these expanding chatbot developments can incorporate just principles in addressing the pace and scale of the worldwide environmental crisis.

This study extensively explores the challenges facing individuals with disabilities in accessing Nigerian museums and the potential for enhancing accessibility and inclusivity, particularly for wheelchair users, those with visual impairments, and deaf visitors. To ensure a satisfying experience and a sense of belonging among this marginalised group, museums must be accessible and inclusive. The research employed one-on-one interviews with disabled individuals as part of the author's qualitative study design, revealing the factors responsible for their exclusion. It comprehensively examined the systemic barriers to access and inclusivity that continue to hinder disabled individuals' museum experiences in Nigeria. Additionally, it investigated how this inaccessibility contributes to their underrepresentation in museum collections, exhibitions, and collaborations. The study recommended implementing inclusive and accessible policies and practices and integrating digital assistive tools inside and outside Nigerian museums to realise universal accessibility and inclusivity principles and foster a sense of belonging within the museum sector.

This paper outlines research done on the work routines of art historians. Drawing on ethnographic interviews with 20 eminent art historians, the analysis of the processes of research done by these renowned scholars reveals their habits of thought, their philosophies of approach to understanding art works, and their publication routines. The paper describes the findings from the early phase of a research conducted to evaluate the impact of utilization of connectedness and empowerment. I t employs a theory of change approach to study the outcomes brought about by the RI Cs. I nitial findings however, suggest that the RI Cs have evolved individually and are unique from each other, thus requiring a functions. I nterviews, observations and document analysis conducted at six RI Cs imply three main models: (1) The Cybercafé model, (2) The community service center model and (3) The entrepreneurial center model. Three theories of change are subsequently proposed to address each model and further aid the evaluation of the RI Cs in each category. Im folgenden Text werden konzeptionelle Uberlegungen zum Forschungsdesign einer vergleichenden Studie uber den kompetenten Umgang mit multiplen Gefahrdungsund Bedrohungslagen unter besonderer Berucksichtigung von kritischen Infrastrukturen und sicherheitstechnischen Einrichtungen und Verfahrensweisen entwickelt. In 2006, Obana et al proposed two optimum secret sharing schemes secure against cheating. They extend the secret s in the Shamir's scheme to an array of three elements, (s, e 0 , e 1), and construct two equations for checking validity. Each item in the equations should be reconstructed using Lagrange's interpolation. In this paper, we revisit these schemes by introducing a public hash function to construct equations for checking validity. In 2006, Obana et al proposed two optimum secret sharing schemes secure against cheating. They extend the secret s in the Shamir's scheme to an array of three elements, (s, e 0 , e 1), and construct two equations for checking validity. Each item in the equations should be reconstructed using Lagrange's interpolation. In this paper, we revisit these schemes by introducing a public hash function to construct equations for checking validity. The revisited schemes become more efficient because they only extend the secret to an array of two elements. The new scheme for a single secret saves about 1/3 cost of the original.

Tag recommendation is a specific recommendation task for recommending metadata (tag) for a web resource (item) during user annotation process. In this context, sparsity problem refers to situation where tags need to be produced for items with few annotations or for user who tags few items. Most of the state of the art approaches in tag recommendation are rarely evaluated or perform poorly under this situation. This paper presents a combined method for mitigating sparsity problem in tag recommendation by mainly expanding and ranking candidate tags based on similar items' tags and existing tag ontology. We evaluated the approach on two public social bookmarking datasets. The experiment results show better accuracy for recommendation in sparsity situation over several state of the art methods.

Computer software plays a crucial role in the health sector, facilitating effective management of medical records, enhancing the delivery of services, and improving patient outcomes through advanced diagnostic equipment. Cardiovascular disease poses a significant challenge for the medical community in the contemporary era, emerging as the leading cause of mortality. The healthcare business collects substantial quantities of health data that, however, cannot be effectively utilised for informed decision-making. Data mining techniques are employed to analyse large datasets in order to extract valuable information from vast amounts of data. This study aims to provide motivation for the development of an intelligent classification system for heart disease, utilising data mining techniques with a smaller set of characteristics or attributes. The K-nearest neighbour and FuzzyK-nearest neighbour classifier algorithms are employed in conjunction with evolutionary search and symmetric uncertainty attribute evaluator techniques to enhance the process of feature selection. The experimental findings demonstrate that each technique possesses distinct benefits in effectively meeting the objectives of cardiac disease detection with a high level of precision. The results collected indicate that the K-nearest neighbours (KNN) algorithm has demonstrated superior performance compared to the Fuzzy-KNN algorithm. The analysis further unveiled that K-nearest neighbours (KNN) regularly exhibited commendable accuracy while employing the symmetric uncertainty measure.

Due to the emergence of online flea market apps, consumers have begun to shop in retail shops with the intention of reselling in the future. In this paper, the author examines the effect of secondary market options on the shopping behavior in the primary market. More specifically, the paper examined the attractiveness of resale conditions, such as resale price and duration until settlement, at the secondary market using conjoint analysis. The analysis results indicate that although price and product attributes are important in decision-making at the primary market, the conditions at the secondary market also have positive utility. Moreover, the sellers on the online flea market app have relatively low price sensitivity at the primary market, and marginal willingness-to-pay of the conditions in the secondary market is higher compared with other user segments. The presence of a secondary market has the potential to raise consumer's willingness-to-pay at the primary market.

The paper describes the findings from the early phase of a research conducted to evaluate the impact of utilization of connectedness and empowerment. I t employs a theory of change approach to study the outcomes brought about by the RI Cs. I nitial findings however, suggest that the RI Cs have evolved individually and are unique from each other, thus requiring a functions. I nterviews, observations and document analysis conducted at six RI Cs imply three main models: (1) The Cybercafé model, (2) The community service center model and (3) The entrepreneurial center model. Three theories of change are subsequently proposed to address each model and further aid the evaluation of the RI Cs in each category. Immersive virtual reality isn't just for gaming. It's poised to have a big impact on education as well, giving students an opportunity to interact with content in three-dimensional learning environments. Blended learning, according to the Inn sight Institute is "a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through online delivery of content and instruction with some element of student' control over time, place, path and/or pace". On the other hand, there are many disadvantage found in blended learning such as the learners with low motivation or bad study habits may fall behind, and many others. So, there is an essential need to improve and develop the theory of the blended learning by using virtual reality environments and get rid of these disadvantages to develop the faceto-face learning to add a lot of features such as excitement and make it more efficient. As well as affirms clarity of the scientific content of the lecture that the student may be miss them by absent or even mentally, so student can live atmosphere the lecture again and overcome the difficulties resulting from the using blended learning or traditional learning. Firstly, this approach is applied by building a specialized website application that allow using virtual reality feature in order to measure the effectiveness of this study on students, and then a questionnaires was designed and the information result of these questionnaires impact was gathered. It is found that, the most of students were excited, active and they understand the lecture in an easy way with a high Likert Scale (4.74), but they found difficulties in using VR tools which has a low Likert scale (2.66).

The ubiquity of Big Data and machine learning in society evinces the need of further investigation of their fundamental limitations. In this paper, we extend the "too-much-information-tends-to-behave-like-very-little-information" phenomenon to formal knowledge about lawlike universes and arbitrary collections of computably generated datasets. This gives rise to the simplicity bubble problem, which refers to a learning algorithm equipped with a formal theory that can be deceived by a dataset to find a locally optimal model which it deems to be the global one. However, the actual high-complexity globally optimal model unpredictably diverges from the found low-complexity local optimum. Zemblanity is defined by an undesirable but expected finding that reveals an underlying problem or negative consequence in a given model or theory, which is in principle predictable in case the formal theory contains sufficient information. Therefore, we argue that there is a ceiling above which formal knowledge cannot further decrease the probability of zemblanitous findings, should the randomly generated data made available to the learning algorithm and formal theory be sufficiently large in comparison to their joint complexity.
