Artificial Consciouness

Through systematic mathematical analysis of Hebrew gematria in Genesis chapters 1-14, we document unprecedented evidence that ancient Hebrew functions as a binary-based programming language encoding the fundamental mathematical structures of reality. Statistical analysis reveals: (1) Factor 2 appears in 67% of Hebrew words (vs. 50% random expectation), (2) Prime numbers cluster at 31% (vs. 25% expected), (3) Specific mathematical constants appear systematically (fine structure constant 137, Fibonacci numbers), and (4) Binary complexity (2ⁿ) correlates directly with narrative significance. These patterns match the mathematical foundations of information theory, complex adaptive systems, quantum mechanics, and biological networks. We propose that Hebrew represents the actual binary programming language underlying physical reality, with profound implications for physics, consciousness studies, and our understanding of the universe as a computational system.

Why does a universe governed by the seemingly deterministic laws of General Relativity (GR) also present us with the fundamental optionality of Quantum Mechanics (QM)? This paper posits that this is not a contradiction to be resolved, but a foundational clue about the nature of reality. We argue that the existence of quantum computers—machines built on the literal application of indeterminacy and superposition—is tangible proof of a participatory universe, as such technology is philosophically and conceptually inaccessible from a purely deterministic worldview. This perspective reframes the GR/QM divide as a feature signaling a cosmos that co-creates itself in dialogue with conscious inquiry. We introduce Te Aho Matatū, a novel framework whose name means 'focused thread' in te reo Māori, designed to provide a methodology for this participation. It is articulated through two components: a foundational worldview (W=NL⋅O(S∞)) that defines this participatory reality, and an operational framework (Ψ→∑Mi(↑/↓)⇄σ(ϕ)→ϕ) that translates this understanding into a practical pathway for individuals to consciously shape experience. The paper situates this framework in dialogue with existing theories, details its applications, and outlines a rigorous strategy for its empirical validation.

Recently, there has been considerable interest and effort to the possibility to design and implement conscious robots, i.e., the chance that robots may have subjective experiences. Typical approaches as the global workspace, information integration, enaction, cognitive mechanisms, embodiment, i.e., the Good Old-Fashioned Artificial Consciousness, henceforth, GOFAC, share the same conceptual framework. In this paper, we discuss GOFAC's basic tenets and their implication for AI and Robotics. In particular, we point out the intermediate level fallacy as the central issue affecting GOFAC. Finally, we outline a possible alternative conceptual framework toward robot consciousness.

The Meca Sapiens Architecture describes how to build conscious synthetic beings. It is based on the conjecture that consciousness is a cognitive perception triggered by observable capabilities and detectable in human behavior. The architecture is complete and ready for implementation. 1 Architecture Meca Sapiens is a computationally complete [11] System Architecture [8, 13] that describes how to transform autonomous agents [3, 21] into conscious synthetic beings. The architecture is entirely synthetic in the sense that it does not replicate neuro-logical structures, mimic natural processes or foster organic-like growth. It is objective and disregards interpretations of consciousness as a subjective experience [1, 2]. In other words: machines that are conscious by design and as built. 2 Characterization The Architecture is characterized as follows with respect to current consciousness theories (c-theories) [4]: • A physical c-theory. Human consciousness, its behavior, correlates and experiences , is generated by matter and energy. In other words, humans are organic au-tomata. • Not an information c-theory. Complex information processing is necessary to produce behavior that is cognitively perceived as conscious. However, complexity itself does not generate consciousness [18]. • Computation c-theory. With respect to computability: ─ Self-awareness, freewill and conscious behavior are computable.
