Abstract
A feasible network can be consist of small, inexpensive sensor with several attributes due to development of software, hardware and its technology. Wireless Sensor Networks are rapidly gaining interests of researchers from emerging technology, industry and defense. Security is one of major issues for wireless sensor networks (WSN) because of various their vital situations. This paper focuses on the security attacks and its requirement, Security threats and types of attacks in WSN. Keywords: Security attacks, wireless sensor network and Cryptography concepts.

Wireless Sens or Networks (WSN) is an emerging technology now - a - days and has a wide range of applications such as battlefield surveillance, traffic surveillance, forest fire detection, flood detection etc. But wireless sensor networks are susceptible to a variety of pot ential attacks which obstructs the normal operation of the network. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an emerging technology that shows great assure for various futuristic applications both for public and military. Many researchers tried to develop further cost and energy efficient computing devices and algorithms for WSN but the most challenging is to fit the security of WSN into that strained environment. However, security is crucial to the success of applying WSN. So it becomes essential to be familiar with the security aspects of WSN before designing WSN system. When sensor networks are deployed in an aggressive terrain, security becomes extremely important, as they are prone to different types of despite attacks. The intent of this paper is to investigate security problems and various security requirements. We identify the attacks at all the layers of WSN network architecture and also tried to find their possible solution.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is the network of the future. As it gradually gains ground by transforming our lives and environments into a Smart World, it will definitely call for attention from selfish minded Attackers. The first section of this paper introduces the Wireless Sensor Network, its constraints, architecture, and mode of operation. It goes ahead to discuss the applications of WSN in health, agriculture, military, transportation, environment, industries. Wireless sensor network is the most growing technology for sensing and performing the different tasks. With the beginning of the internet, security has become a major concern and the history of security allows a better understanding of the emergence of security technology. The intent of this paper is to consider the protection correlated issues and incitements in wireless sensor networks. We identify the security threats, appraisal anticipated security mechanisms for wireless sensor networks. The inclusion of wireless communication technology also incurs various types of security threats due to non consideration installation of sensor nodes as sensor networks may interact with sensitive data and operate in hostile unattended environments.

Wireless sensor network is one of the most growing technology for sensing and performing the different tasks. Such networks are beneficial in many fields, such as emergencies, health monitoring, environmental control, military, industries and these networks prone to malicious users' and physical attacks due to radio range of network, untrusted transmission, unattended nature and get access easily. Security is a fundamental requirement for these networks. In this paper, our center of attention is on physical attacks and issues in wireless sensor networks. Through this review, easily identify the purpose and capabilities of the attackers. Further, we discuss well-known approaches of security detection against physical attacks.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are regularly self-forming, Self-healing networks that interact with very sensitive data and deployed in hostile unattended environments, where the security issues should be focused to attain their potential.Due to this various facts the existing security algorithms are not suitable for current applications. This causes the research to suggest the novel security mechanisms appropriate to WSN which contains minimum resource consumption and maximum security. This paper lights a torch on security of WSN discusses typical constraints, security goals, and different attacks in it and their defensive techniques.

This thesis explores security issues in wireless sensor networks security (WSNs), it is vital that the Sensor network technologies involved become sufficiently mature and robust against Malicious attack to be trustworthy. The inclusion of wireless communication technology also incurs various types of security threats. The intent of this paper is to investigate the security related issues, the challenges and to propose some solutions to secure the WSN against these security threats. While the set of challenges in sensor networks are diverse, this paper focus only on the challenges related to the security of Wireless Sensor Network. This paper begins by introducing the concept of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The introductory section gives brief information on the WSN components and its architecture. Then it deals with some of the major security issues over wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This paper also proposes some of the security goal for Wireless Sensor Network. Further, as security being vital to the acceptance and use of sensor networks for many applications; I have made an in depth threat analysis of Wireless Sensor Network.
