Women’s safety is one of the significant issues due to rising crimes against women around the world. The number of cases of assault, rape, eve-teasing, and other types of crimes are rising through the years in the state, thereby making it difficult for women to pursue their dreams and latenight jobs on a large scale. To help resolve this issue we propose a GPS-based women’s safety system that has an additional dual security feature in our project. This device consists of a system that ensures dual alerts in case a woman is harassed or she thinks she is in trouble. The device can be turned on in advance by a woman whenever she is walking alone in an empty street or feels she might get attacked. The idea is to design one such device which can be carried anywhere. It will consist of a button that will be easy to press when a woman is in trouble. This button will be connected to the system which has two modules, one is the GPS module and the second one is the Wi-Fi module. The first mod...

In this project, a drone equipped with GPS technology is used. Whenever a woman is in trouble, she only has to press the panic button which is placed nearby or available in the form of a mobile application that directs the UAV to reach to victim's location at once. Once the drone reaches the exact location it will click photographs of the crime scene and send it back to the nearby police station including its current location through IoT. Now once the current location is retrieved by the policemen, they can reach the exact location and stop the crime at once. Here we use IOT for receiving transmitted images and displaying them to policemen with alert sounds. (Index Terms-drone, unmanned aerial vehicle, women safety, aerial surveillance, sos devices, IoT) I. INTRODUCTION Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) famous with the name Drone, is basically a ying machine. When employed along with a GPS, the unmanned aerial vehicle can be remotely controlled and can y autonomously, as well as locate position accurately by pre-programmed ight plans in their embedded systems. UAV technology has already made its way in surveillance, monitoring tra c, search operation, etc, for years. However, with the advancement in IoT, Machine-learning, deep learning techniques, drones appear to be the best choice. Many Research and testing on drone delivery services are also going on, which will target the masses. Using IoT based model, and high de nition camera, we are developing the Drone for the safety of the women. Drones were being used for military purposes from the mid-1990s with the High-Altitude Endurance-UAV-Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrator(HAE UAV ACTD) program which is run by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency(DARPA) and Defense Airborne Reconnaissance O ce(DARO)[3]. Through our drone technology and enhancements made in it, we not only urge in providing safety and surveillance help to Policeman but also to overcome the drawbacks in the traditional method. Problems like, limitations of security cameras installed at public places, wired CCTVs with a small area of vision, security personnel is to be appointed to observe the CCTVs all the time (even many important incidents are missed to keep eye on). Our Project focuses on these areas and we are obliged to provide end-to-end security for women. We will also be making it simple and focus on its cost-e ectiveness so that our work for this noble cause can reach as far as possible. The objective is to develop a feasible IoT based model using UAV-technology for the safety of the women. In this, we are using a drone for surveillance using GPS module and high de nition camera. This idea can help the policemen to overcome many disadvantages which are there in existing technologies such as the need for more number of CCTV camera which also requires more power consumption. The drone can cover more distance as compared to the CCTV camera placed nowadays and power consumption can also be reduced. This project provides a simple and cost-e ective end to end security solution for women's safety.

Robot technology is everywhere from health to retail. It is very rare to see the use of robots in developing countries. It is also a big task for companies to hire staffs for the purpose of monitoring as it requires to work especially in the night. It is also dangers for human. It is a good idea to have some robots for the purpose of monitoring. This paper focuses on the development of surveillance mobile robot using an Arduino board, an ESP32 board and a Raspberry PI system. The robot is a proof of concept of possible robotic application in warehouses where monitoring technologies need to be embedded in the system. In this context, the device is equipped with a servo motor and an on-board camera. The enduser can monitor the robot remotely by wirelessly controlling the position of the servo (i.e. the camera). The camera module is controlled by the Raspberry PI and incorporate a motion detection system which provides an alarm and capture the image frame as soon as the motion is detected. Finally, the image is sent to the end-user. A set of preliminary test of the system has been performed in order to proof the reliability of the proposed prototype.

Fundamental to IoT is the instant collaboration that happens between these smart devices. The beauty behind having a network of interconnected devices is that they can all work together to provide real solutions that are much greater than the sum of their parts. IOT based products are always connected and constantly communicating with each other. They regularly exchange information using wired and wireless networks, which helps make our lives easier and safer. When IoT based smart home security systems are used to safeguard our home or possessions, it's akin to having our favorite reliable friend dutifully watching over our home or pets in our absence. Except it's actually way better than that, because unlike our well-meaning friend or neighbor, smart home security systems are always present and are ready to instantly alert us of any signs of danger. Smart products, like Nest Lab's smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, sounds an alert when it detects high levels of CO, and then warns us of the location of the danger. It's no wonder that Google acquired Nest Labs for a whopping $3.2 billion! Other companies like Canary offer connected smart home security systems that are now a part of a growing trend: using IoT technology to create safety solutions to protect what's most valuable to us. I. INTRODUCTION Existing handheld devices that are available for women safety require women intervention to activate them such as pressing the button or shake the device etc after sensing the danger. However, for some reason if a woman has no time to activate it when she is danger, then the purpose of the safety device is not solved. In a country like India where the growth rate of crime is considered to be more than the growth rate of population, which includes burglary, murders, rapes, and many more women's safety is believed to be one of the most important issues. According to a report by Thomson Reuters Foundation, India is ranked as a highly dangerous place for women worldwide; India has the greatest number of child brides as well. In 2016, the number of reported rapes is almost 39,000. Experts that were interviewed for the reason why India is presumed to be dangerous for women said India is on top of the list because its government has done almost nothing to provide safety to women since the rape and murder of a student in early 20's in 2012 which prompted changes in the rape laws of the country. Most of the attacks on women happen when they are traveling alone or are in a remote area where they are not able to find any help or proper assistance. This paper proposes a IoT based solution to address the problem of women safety and that overcome the shortcomings of existing devices. The proposed design comprises of features to notify family members and nearby police station for immediate assistance when women are not safe. Moreover, a shock wave generator is a part of the proposed design which women can use to attack the perpetrator. Women are not safe anywhere and are most vulnerable when traveling alone into lonely roads and deserted places. Existing hand held safety devices for women require human intervention for activating the device such as pressing the button or shake the device etc. after sensing the danger. We propose a solution which will try to overcome the disadvantages of the existing systems and also aim at providing false proof safety to women. The proposed work aims at designing an IoT based safety device that relies on providing security to women by fingerprint-based method of connectivity to the device and alerting nearby people and police when a women is not safe. An unsafe situation is sensed by fingerprint verification for a minute then it will automatically alert nearby people and police if the device senses no signal. Moreover, for first-hand safety, shockwave generator is also designed that women can use to attack the perpetrator. Additional features such as sending group messages, audio recording are also part of the proposed design. A mobile app is designed for women safety where safe locations from victim's current location will be shown on the map so that women can reach the safe place from her current location which is unsafe. II. HARDWARE USED A. SIM800L GSM/GPRS Module At the heart of the module is a SIM800L GSM cellular chip from SimCom. The operating voltage of the chip is from 3.4V to 4.4V, which makes it an ideal candidate for direct LiPo battery supply. This makes it a good choice for embedding into projects without a lot of space. All the necessary data pins of SIM800L GSM chip are broken out to a 0.1″ pitch headers. This includes pins required for communication with a microcontroller over UART. The module supports baud rate from 1200bps to 115200bps with Auto-Baud detection. The module needs an external antenna to connect to a network.

In today’s world, women and girls still feel unsafe to travel alone whether it is a day or night. Now-a-days women are been attacked by men irrespective of their ages. Women are facing various problems which include robbery/theft, rape, molestation, eve-teasing and various other difficulties. Keeping this in mind, a device has been modeled which offers a hands-on help to the women in danger with a single press of a switch/button. This device helps the women in danger to be easily located with the help of global positioning system (GPS) and also messages and calls are given to alert their respective emergency contacts which are already stored in the microcontroller using global system for mobile communication (GSM). Hence this device serves handy when any women traveling outside feel insecure about her surroundings. The benefit of this system is that it provides the exact location (both longitude and latitude) of the person in danger.

As we know the present era is with equal rights, where in both men and women are taking equal responsibility in their respective works. Hence women are giving equal competition next to men in all fields, they are assigned works in both the even and odd shift. Every single day women and young girls from all walks of life are being assaulted, molested, and raped. The streets, public transport, public spaces in particular have become the territory of the hunters’. Because of these reasons women can’t step out of their house. The only thought haunting in every women`s mind is when they will be able to move freely on the streets even in odd hours without worrying about their security. In critical situations the women will not feel insecure or helpless if they have some kind of safety device with them. We propose to have a device which is the integration of multiple devices, hardware comprises of a wearable “Smart gadget” which continuously communicates with Smart phone that has access to...
