Their solution relies on a classical Laplacian argument from probability theory. In view of the computational characteristics of such algorithm, we propose two related solutions that efficiently evaluate problems with many more incomplete data. A computational analysis assesses the performance of our algorithms and compares them with earlier solutions in the literature.

Nerve growth factor (NGF) is a neuropeptide involved in cellular signaling that binds specific cell surface receptors in order to induce cellular proliferation and survival in different cell types or cell contexts. In this paper we perform a reachability analysis and we compute common elements in all possible solutions in our cases of interest with the help of Pathway Logic, which constitutes a rewriting logic formalism that provides a knowledge base and development environment to carry out model checking, searches, and executions of signaling systems. In conclusion, we provide a symbolic system that explores complex and dynamic cellular signaling processes that induce cellular proliferation and cellular survival.

These biosystems are dynamic and there is a need for mathematical and computational methods able to analyze the symbolic elements and the interactions between them and produce adequate readouts of such systems. In this work, we use rewriting logic to analyze the cellular signaling of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and its cell surface receptor (EGFR) in order to induce cellular proliferation. Signaling is initiated by binding the ligand protein EGF to the membrane-bound receptor EGFR so as to trigger a reactions path which have several linked elements through the cell from the membrane till the nucleus. We present two different types of search for analyzing the EGF/proliferation system with the help of Pathway Logic tool, which provides a knowledge-based development environment to carry out the modeling of the signaling. The first one is a standard (forward) search. The second one is a novel approach based on narrowing, which allows us to trace backwards the causes of a given final state. The analysis allows the identification of critical elements that have to be activated to provoke proliferation.

Despite its growing prominence, a comprehensive survey of soft set theory, encompassing its foundational concepts, developments, and applications, is notably absent in the existing literature. We aim to bridge this gap. This survey delves into the basic elements of the theory, including the notion of a soft set, the operations on soft sets, and their semantic interpretations. It describes various generalizations and modifications of soft set theory, such as N-soft sets, fuzzy soft sets, and bipolar soft sets, highlighting their specific characteristics. Furthermore, this work outlines the fundamentals of various extensions of mathematical structures from the perspective of soft set theory. Particularly, we present basic results of soft topology and other algebraic structures such as soft algebras and r-algebras. This article examines a selection of notable applications of soft set theory in different fields, including medicine and economics, underscoring its versatile nature. The survey concludes with a discussion on the challenges and future directions in soft set theory, emphasizing the need for further research to enhance its theoretical foundations and broaden its practical applications. Overall, this survey of soft set theory serves as a valuable resource for practitioners, researchers, and students interested in understanding and utilizing this flexible mathematical framework for tackling uncertainty in decision-making processes.

Convexity and integral inequality hence have a significant link. This study's goals are to introduce a new class of generalized convex fuzzy-interval-valued functions (convex 𝘍𝘐𝘝𝘍s) which are known as $ \left(\mathfrak{p}, \mathfrak{J}\right) $-convex 𝘍𝘐𝘝𝘍s and to establish Jensen, Schur and Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for $ \left(\mathfrak{p}, \mathfrak{J}\right) $-convex 𝘍𝘐𝘝𝘍s using fuzzy order relation. The Kulisch-Miranker order relation, which is based on interval space, is used to define this fuzzy order relation level-wise. Additionally, we have demonstrated that, as special examples, our conclusions encompass a sizable class of both new and well-known inequalities for $ \left(\mathfrak{p}, \mathfrak{J}\right) $-convex 𝘍𝘐𝘝𝘍s. We offer helpful examples that demonstrate the theory created in this study's application. These findings and various methods might point the way in new directions for modeling, interval-valued functions and fuzzy optimization issues.

2-tuple linguistic Fermatean fuzzy MAGDM based on the WASPAS method for selection of solid waste disposal location
Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering, 2022

Solid waste disposal location selection (SWDLS) for manufacturing plants is one of the fastest growing challenges in many countries. The weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) is a unique combination of the weighted sum model and the weighted product model. The purpose of this research paper is to introduce a WASPAS method with a 2-tuple linguistic Fermatean fuzzy (2TLFF) set for the SWDLS problem by using the Hamacher aggregation operators. As it is based on simple and sound mathematics, being quite comprehensive in nature, it can be successfully applied to any decision-making problem. First, we briefly introduce the definition, operational laws and some aggregation operators of 2-tuple linguistic Fermatean fuzzy numbers. Thereafter, we extend the WASPAS model to the 2TLFF environment to build the 2TLFF-WASPAS model. Then, the calculation steps for the proposed WASPAS model are presented in a simplified form. Our proposed method, which is more reasonable and scientific in terms of considering the subjectivity of the decision maker's behaviors and the dominance of each alternative over others. Finally, a numerical example for SWDLS is proposed to illustrate the new method, and some comparisons are also conducted to further illustrate the advantages of the new method. The analysis shows that the results of the proposed method are stable and consistent with the results of some existing methods.

Climate change is illustrated by the transformation of wind, temperature, and precipitation; regardless of its natural causes, it is generally connected with human movement and ozone-depleting substances. It is an important task to determine the reasons, effects, and, especially, solutions for reducing the effects of climate change. The prioritization of the solution for reducing the influence of climate change is a multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) dilemma, and for solving such a dilemma, we need a proper MADM technique. Thus, in this study, we first interpreted various aggregation operators (AOs) such as bipolar complex fuzzy (BCF) power Dombi averaging (BCFPDA); BCF power Dombi weighted averaging (BCFPDWA); BCF power Dombi ordered weighted averaging (BCFPDOWA); BCF power Dombi geometric (BCFPDG); BCF power Dombi weighted geometric (BCFPDWG); and BCF power Dombi ordered weighted geometric (BCFPDOWG) and then interpreted an MADM approach based on the invented operators. Furthermore, we studied a numerical example regarding the prioritization of solutions for the reduction of the influence of climate change on the environment and achieved the best solution, i.e., D BCFS−4 ocean and sea protection. Finally, the advantages of this approach are compared with those of other approaches.

In this research article, we introduce the powerful framework of single-valued neutrosophic soft competition graphs by integrating the powerful technique of single-valued neutrosophic soft set with competition graph. For dealing with different levels of competitive relationships among objects in the presence of parametrization, the novel concepts are defined which include single-valued neutrosophic soft k-competition graphs and p-competition single-valued neutrosophic soft graphs. Several energetic consequences are presented to obtain strong edges of the above-referred graphs. The significance of these novel concepts is investigated through application in professional competition and also an algorithm is developed to address this decision-making problem.

This article aims to show several approaches that allow effective treatment of uncertain, inaccurate, or unknown knowledge. On the one hand, a brief review of the theoretical background for these different paradigms is provided. On the other hand, the different extensions of soft sets are justified in the application to decision making. We pay special attention to applications in the medical sciences and provide a study case for biological signaling pathways.

The precise selection of suppliers to fulfill production requirements is a fundamental component ... more The precise selection of suppliers to fulfill production requirements is a fundamental component of all manufacturing and process industries. Due to the increasing consumption levels, green supplier selection (GSS) has been one of the most important issues for environmental preservation and sustainable growth. The present work aims to develop a technique based on Fermatean hesitant fuzzy rough set (FHFRS), a robust fusion of Fermatean fuzzy set, hesitant fuzzy set, and rough set for GSS in the process industry. On the basis of the operational rules of FHFRS, a list of innovative Fermatean hesitant fuzzy rough weighted averaging operators has been established. Further, several intriguing features of the proposed operators are highlighted. To cope with the ambiguity and incompleteness of real-world decision-making (DM) challenges, a DM algorithm has been developed. To illustrate the applicability of the methodology, a numerical example for the chemical processing industry is presented to determine the optimum supplier. The empirical findings suggest that the model has a significant application of scalability for GSS in the process industry. Finally, the improved FHFR-VIKOR and TOPSIS approaches are employed to validate the proposed technique. The results demonstrate that the suggested DM approach is practicable, accessible, and beneficial for addressing uncertainty in DM problems. The supply chain is a system of procedures to acquire crude materials, transform them into substantial and final product, and shipped to the customer. It comprises all relationships between suppliers and consumers. The objective of supply chain management (SCM) is to improve the physical and information flow that is exchanged across all stakeholder involved in the supply chain 1. Sustainable supply chains may promote a long-term efficient relationship throughout the diverse firms. Supplier selection is the process through which firms locate, analyse, and negotiate with suppliers 2. In the modern era of internet-based corporate environments, the significance of SCM and supplier selection has been elevated, and firms pay special attention to the investigation and selection of potential sources of supply. Whenever a supplier becomes a partner, the interaction between the supplier and buyer will have a significant impact on the rivalry integrity of the entire SCM. As the majority of firms devote a substantial portion of their income on procurement, the supplier selection procedure has become one of the most significant features of developing an efficient SCM system 3. Whenever organisations become more reliant on suppliers, the direct and indirect repercussions of terrible supplier selection decisions will intensify 4. The choosing of a supplier is a difficult DM strategy. Before firms made judgments almost completely based on expense and variety, the majority of modern investigators believe that the arrangement of features should address not only technological and economic needs, but also social and environmental requirements 5. Ho et al. 6 suggested that management system be utilized to accurately assess the supplier selection. Conventional supplier selection approaches emphasise the provider's economic and technical efficiency while neglecting its sustainability performance. Today, enterprises should evaluate the environmental sensitivity of their consumption and supply that they minimize their influence on the environment 7. In combination with appropriate factors such as price and quality, the green challenges may play a significant influence on procurement and provide key environmental variables that can be employed to evaluate the suppliers. The emergence of manufacturing, green SCM may be seen as a significant approach for all buyers and suppliers. To improve the supply chain's value, the current competitive industries have prompted businesses to connect environmental concerns with other essential
