I am an Assistant Professor of Tourism at the Catholic University of Portugal and member of Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policy Research Unit (GOVCOPP) of the University of Aveiro, Portugal. I graduated from Geography and Political Sciences and earned my MA in Tourism Management from the University of Pécs, Hungary.
I completed my PhD in Tourism Management at the University of Aveiro, Portugal in the area of local governance.
Currently I teach various courses in Tourism Management including Tourism Geography, International Tourism Markets, ICT in Tourism, Tourism Distribution Channels, Spatial Planning and Research Methodologies.
My current research focuses on local governance and stakeholder relations in tourism, reflections of spirituality in the social media in the context of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage routes, the relationships of European identity formation and travel patterns, and the linkages between neuroscience and ICT in tourism.
