the threat of extinction. It is important to create awareness about the cultural and artistic significance of these
traditional forms. Utilizing these art forms in the interior decoration is an excellent way to spread awareness.
Studying about these art forms will offer the next generation a fresh approach to utilize these mediums in
their own distinctive ways to produce various accessories. The present research therefore aimed to assess
the knowledge of interior design students regarding traditional art forms of Gujarat, design and develop
decorative and functional accessories using these art forms and evaluate the effectiveness of an educational
program in enhancing student knowledge regarding traditional art forms of Gujarat. The sample was
purposively selected (281 interior design students, Graduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma) from The
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. A questionnaire included 49-statements, having three-point
continuum scale (Aware, Undecided, Unaware), to collect data on the extent of knowledge. The reliability
of the scale was established using the Spearman-Brown correction formula. This research was delimited to
traditional art forms of Gujarat. This study will be useful for Interior students, Interior Designer and
Architects to know about different traditional art forms of Gujarat so that they can implement them in their
own unique way in the Interior Spaces. Utilizing these art forms in modern world will also help to preserve
these traditional art forms which are vanishing with time.
