The Person-Centered Care approach improves the facility design and revolves around user preferences with the added value of superior services, respect with dignity and teamwork, infrastructure, and innovation. This study based on healthcare professionals practicing person-centered care dimensions investigates conceptualization and the process of creating high quality to examine improve healthcare systems efficiency and effectiveness. To enhance the healthcare environment, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of patient journey throughout the care process and ensure safety, timeliness, effectiveness, efficiency, and patient-centered care approach have been considered. The consideration for home-like acknowledged built environment, aesthetically delighted, space for family and friends, noise-free, rooms exposed to nature, provision to access healing gardens and promote healthcare outcomes as well as better culture and better care consequence increase patient experience and thus have positive impact on patient satisfaction. In this paper, the Person-Centered Care Design facility with reference to the healthcare outcomes in Saudi Arabia has been studied.

The high-rise healthcare design has a particular set of benefits. This paper aims to illustrate the design consideration of facilities in urban areas because of their increasing land values at the same time healthcare demand not only a prospect for better planning flexibility, safety, and security but also an opportunity to achieve improved air quality, efficiency, reduced noise as well as a better healing environment. However, the main challenging aspects of high-rise healthcare design are vertical transportation, planning, life safety, noise and vibration, temperature, and airflow. To ensure the success of a vertical project, innovative approaches are essential in vertical design. This encompasses inventive facade design, standard frame construction techniques, and the effective operation of Facility Management Systems. Achieving this success demands infrastructure expertise, creative solutions for vertical transportation, and robust structural engineering capable of supporting heavy loads, including HVAC, electrical, low-current IT, and medical equipment that may weigh several tons. Also, Segregation of circulation, well-defined access, wayfinding, and the flow of services must be considered for patient/staff workflow. This paper employs a qualitative research methodology, utilizing a case study approach and physical observations to gather qualitative data. The analysis is conducted with the aim of identifying and addressing factors that influence design challenges in high-rise healthcare facilities. The ultimate goal is to propose a roadmap for mitigating space constraints, optimizing efficiency, and enhancing patient care within healthcare facilities.

With emerging trend and technology advancement the current state of healthcare design urgent attention and the contemporary Healthcare design elements will be discussed in this paper with an emphasis on the technical aspects and new trends in evidence-based patient entered care healthcare facility design. The primary goal is to bridge the gap between Architectural Design and emerging facility standards by identifying and suggesting factors that could influence the design opportunities and challenges associated with healthcare outcomes in order to achieve high quality outcomes from appointments, admission to discharge and follow up involves priority, safety, privacy, dignity, efficiency and satisfaction. Key factors of patient centered care quality, such as patient preferences, emotional support, physical comfort, continuity and transition, information & education, Care Access, coordination, family and friend participation for design elements requirement. This paper shall employ qualitative research technique utilizing review of various design guidelines and observations to gather qualitative data and conduct an analysis of practicing healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia in order to get evidence-based patient centred care design elements. The analysis will identify the key drivers with recommendations for design elements that prioritize preferences, comfort, and safety to enhance quality outcomes with higher satisfaction.

Urban flooding is the accretion of land or property in a built environment, particularly in more densely populated areas, caused by rainfall overwhelming the capacity of drainage systems. A number of major cities and towns in India reported a series of devastating urban floods in the recent decade. Urban flooding is significantly different from rural flooding as urbanization leads to developed catchments, which increases the flood peaks from 1.8 to 8 times and flood volumes by up to 6 times. (NDMA Guidelines). In this paper, challenges of urban flooding have been studied taking instances of three cities of India viz. Srinagar, Gurugram and Chennai, selected for respective rationale. Srinagar is flooded due to unplanned urbanization, Gurugram due to breakage of Wetland linkages and Chennai flooded due to rapid urbanization, topography and siltation. The paper discusses causative factors responsible, the immediate need for flood risk reduction and management strategies.
