The review paper presented here describes the development of sociable robots from the low level p... more The review paper presented here describes the development of sociable robots from the low level planning stage to the problem that may arise while performing it in actual practice. Recent researches focus that robotics technologies are entering into society at large, commercialized as toys, cyber-pets, or other entertainment products. We are at the century where socially savvy robots can achieve commercial success, potentially transforming society. A sociable robot can provide help through tutoring, counselling, home assistance and many more additional tasks. For example a robot which can perform its task as a teacher can be an effective change in the teaching learning process. We also found results on the emotional dialogue events which can drive some participants to antipathy. This article describes the work with sociable robots that embody alternative roles for teaching, as well as sympathy to elders.
