MEME suite was used for defining the common consensus pattern present in bioactive peptides precursors. It was found that although three different consensus patterns was identified in precursors but theses consensus pattern overlapped in many sequences and all three motifs may be present in many peptides precursor sequences.

A novel action of insulin sensitizing drug as a potential promotor of preovulatory follicles, ovulation rate and prolificacy in sheep: the first exploratory study

Following estrus synchronization, the ewes were equally divided into two groups (n = 23). Treatment group (MET) received a daily oral dose of metformin at the rate of 500 mg/animal for around 12 wk, spanning five estrous cycles, as against untreated control (CON). All the ewes were bred with proven sires at the end of treatment. Ultrasonographic ovarian scans were carried out on every estrus and D 9 of each cycle to evaluate the number and diameter of POFs and corpora lutea (CL), respectively. A comprehensive assessment was conducted on circulating hormones including, estradiol, progesterone, androstenedione, and insulin as well as metabolic indicators like glucose, and lipid profile parameters. By the end of medication, the treatment showed a stimulatory effect on follicular turnover with a 53.2% (P < 0.001) rise...

Design/methodology/approach – Camel milk proteins were hydrolyzed with three different proteolytic enzymes, viz., alcalase (CMPH-A), -chymotrypsin (CMPH-C) and papain (CMPH-P), and dried to powder form before further utilization. Four treatments were prepared with incorporation of CMPH, viz., CMPH 0 per cent (C), CMPH-A 0.09 per cent (T1), CMPH-C 0.06 per cent (T2) and CMPH-P 0.09 per cent (T3), in the product formulation. The developed goat meat patties were evaluated for physico-chemical (pH; emulsion stability, ES; cooking yield, CY; water activity, aw), instrumental colour and texture profile and sensory attributes. Findings – The pH, moisture, fat and ES values of goat meat emulsions were comparable amongst treatments as well as with the control; however, t...

Threevitellogenin,Vtg I,Vtg II and Vtg III have been identified in chicken.Vitellinogen precursors supply the major egg yolk proteins which are a source of nutrients during early development of egg-laying (oviparous) vertebrates and invertebrates. A complete structural analysis and 3-D modelling of Vitellogenin protein of Chicken (Target), has been already done. The 1852 amino acid sequence of the Vitellogenin protein (Gallus gallus) was retrieved from NCBI database. OOPS model of Multiple EM for Motif Elicitation (MEME) online software package was used to carry out this analysis. Total fifteen amino acid sequences were taken for motif analysis.According to our results, Vitellogenin sequences, contains three motifs. We analyze that all fifteen sequences includes all threemotifs but their start points are different. Motif investigationsuggeststhat all selected VTG sequences from different re...

Many of the PLP dependent proteins are important drug targets and effector molecules, and thus, their heterologous overexpression is of industrial importance and has commercial value. We have predicted the docking site of PLP on O-acetyl serine sulfhydrylase protein (OASS) of H.contortus and determined that lysine-47 is very important for the binding of PLP in the enzyme pocket. We have used this protein as a model protein for testing the effect of PLP on the expression of PLP dependent proteins by E.coli. We have tested the effect of supplementation of PLP in the media on the expression of PLP dependent model protein in E.coli. Soluble recombinant protein could be purified from each of the culture vials grown with variable amount of PLP [0 mM (Group I), 0.01mM (Group II), 0.025mM (Group III), 0.05mM (Group IV) and 0.1mM (Group V)]. There was approximately 4.2%, ...

Stages of database development was mapping of enzymes was made by BLASTp, BLASTn. BL2seq were used for similarity whereas Map viewer was used for mapping of enzymes of Gluconeogenesis cycle of Oryza sativa w.r.t. Arabidopsis thaliana. Furthermore even the promoter for the enzyme can be revealed through the use of PROMOTER 2.0, then arrangement of this data was placed as web pages or direct links Oracle9g and development of front end was created in JSP. Tomcat server was used as a connection bridge in between of front end with back end. It was typically an intranet program for lab users.

The structure of LPO from Bos taurus was taken as model structure The structure, function and antimicrobial properties of lactoperoxidase have been reviewed by De-Wit and Hooydonk (1996). I was studied the structures of LPO as well as try to find out the structures of Different organisms (like human, mouse, rat etc.). It also try find the LPO protein within the others species other then the known species and found that the LPO related sequence is present in Pan troglodytes, Salmonella enterica and Citrobacter koser.

T1 (0.03%), T2 (0.06%) and T3 (0.09%) (w/w) of α-chymotrypsin hydrolysed camel milk casein was incorporated into goat meat emulsion, and compared with control (C: 0% hydrolysate) and positive control (PC: 0.02% butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), w/w) for changes in quality at 4±1°C. During storage, the water activity, extract release volume and emulsion stability decreased significantly, while pH increased. Except in T3, improvement in antioxidant potential of treated emulsions was recorded. Lower fatty acid oxidation was recorded in treated emulsions during storage. The treated emulsions had better instrumental colour profile, however, lightness (L*), redness (a* value) and yellowness (b*) values decreased with the advancement of storage period. The microbiological counts in treated emulsions were initially reduced, and at the end of storage, significantly lower counts were recorded. In microbial challenging test (MCT), the colony forming units in treated emulsions decreased upto 4 th day for all the tested pathogens, thereafter increased significantly on 6 th day except in T3, whereas, in C and PC groups, the counts increased significantly throughout the storage period. The findings suggested that camel milk casein hydrolysate with α-chymotrypsin could be used as a potential food ingredient to improve its quality.

Database was developed after retrieving data from different servers by using similarity search by blastp. The MSAccess was used to developed backhand whereas front hand created by JSP, JAVA, HTML and CSS. Tomcat Server v5.0 used for connection between front-hand with back hand. Feasible structures was found by using blastp against protein databank as the lactoferrin like protein seq from Ricinus communis, found homology with 1N76 based on e-value and bit score with percent identities. This structure was shared common domains with regular expression of Homo sapiens lactoferrin.
