If they choose to be obliterated in the future and lag behind with physical and cultural poverty. Based on the memoirs of the war and the inhuman face of it, transcends the Kargil conflict and the recent crisis as well.

Besides the issues socioeconomic dynamics of Gujarat Model and the fall out of the measures like demonetization and GST, the disruption in the economic life, and prior to that, the governmental sanctions for restriction of what we eat and read and see, the " award wapsi " , farmers distress, rampant unemployment, atrocities on dalits, the unusual favours extended to big industrial houses, rising corruption, use of might to silence the voices of dissent, political nepotism & favouritism, and tearing down the harmony of the larger social fabric, the elections have manifested many other aspects. The humour and pun that marked the election campaign were never witnessed before, the entire central ministry camping in Gujarat for the state elections never happened before. A rejuvenated Congress is seen for the first time in more than two decades. The divide between the rural & urban Gujarat in terms of voting for a party was never so pronounced. Congress could understand that the glass house that has been built on rhetoric and unmet promises, data manipulation and polarisation, is vulnerable. Though in terms of its economic policies, they are no different than the ruling BJP, but by and large, the higher echelons of Congress are not communal. At grassroots, ingression of communalism has happened long back. In fact, it was manifested well in the past riots of Gujarat, from 1969 to 2002. Even today, Congress is keeping out of the distress and lack of development in the Muslim community. So the pitfalls are there but there is no other alternative apart from Congress if BJP is to be removed. Left and democratic forces are scattered and mired in pseudo ideological difference. The intellectual community is backing a lesser evil that they see in Congress. Will the Congress be able to walk the last mile and break the GLASS HOUSE in 2019? The results of Gujarat election and the subsequent elections in Tripura, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will probably decide that. Like in Gujarat, BJP will go all out in all these states. Their stakes are high particularly the duo of Narendra Modi & Amit Shah. Congress did pick up the stone and is aiming to throw it at the GLASS HOUSE, but they lack the political will to throw it hard in absence of the old SEVA DAL of Congress. Whereas BJP is more organised and obviously so for Gujarat means business and in Gujarat like no other state, Business and Politics are inseparably intertwined. This was the time when all good meaning persons should have come on the streets but I see them restricted to social media or discussions over a cup of tea. They are not coming out of their comfort zone, but they want change! This category includes me too. Irrespective of the fact, who wins Gujarat, it is sure that there will be a serious dent in the present narrative continuing for last 22 years. It is to be seen if Congress can carry it forward and fight it out in 2019.

The first was in 1975 when the internal emergency was declared and the second stint started in 2014 after the present ruling party came to power. However, the two cases had different backgrounds. In this paper, the background of each of the cases will be studied; the differences and the commonality between the two would also be highlighted along with the intervening circumstances that led to each of these two tendencies in Independent India. The first period was a result of political compulsion, elitist ego and political short-sightedness, international and national image of populism. It was devoid of any ideological consideration. Whereas, the second phase we are going through, is qualitatively different and driven by ideology. In the first case, proclamation of internal emergency was not a pre-decided course, whereas, second one appears to be planned and being executed with precision without any real proclamation. I will deliberately indulge in it when it comes to Israel (with a caveat that I do not recognise the state of Israel) and the Zionists. I have no qualms about accepting that a large section of a Jewish minority is well-meaning and humane. They go beyond the realm of being wellmeaning and give active resistance to the Zionist government and people within Israel and face police brutality in the course of their suppression. Outside Israel, they have awakened the people and others who are for humanity and peace. I will dwell on the history of this war, however, without delving into the history of the occupation, it will be wrong to talk about the present conflict. I remember that the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said about this conflict and quote him "The attack on Israel did not happen in a vacuum". It is another thing that there was constant propaganda by Israeli and USA Media that inhuman atrocities have been perpetrated on civilians by Hamas that includes, rape, the killing of children and even the opening up of the belly of a pregnant woman and then killing the womb. The investigative journalists used scientific techniques, interviews with the victims and other means to rip apart this propaganda and establish the truth. Some excesses indeed happened during the Hamas raid in the backdrop of 230 killed by Israel in the West Bank and continued seizure of Gaza and the West Bank, settlers' violence under the protection of IDF and continued occupation of Palestinian Land by the Zionists.

This taste shaped itself over many thousands of years and became a part of our genes. Even the microflora of our gut evolved accordingly. Recent researches prove that the micro flora of our gut sends signals to our brain. That is why we feel good after having a particular dish.
