This approach to visually transforming language allows it to be recast in modalities of expression which have historically emerged within the earliest manifestations of the symbolic mind. Language is not normally examined in relation to the archaeological artifacts which provide the evidence for its emergence; so although the use of adornments such as shell beads and pendants is cited as evidence of the early existence of the capacity for language, language is not investigated in relation to those artifacts-despite the fact that they exhibit a form of patterning similar to the patterning which underlies the linguistic code.

The work reveals an unintentionally encoded patterning that some believe challenges the assumption of the arbitrariness of the signs. Reference pages are included.

Th... more This article describes the system of patterning involved in the distribution of prime numbers. The description of the system is based on the idea that two seemingly independent process are interacting in a non-dimensional state. And since the language of mathematical formulation is syntactically dimensional, it cannot describe the system as a whole. If we accept advance predictability as proof of the system in connection with viewing a model of the regularity of its relationships, rather than relying on a traditionally formulated mathematical proof, the rigorous system of prime distribution is clearly evident. The philosophical implications are significant, since it points to a weakness in mathematical language and the formulation of mathematical proofs.
