Overheating is among the leading causes of engine breakdown, and though several systems offer alerts, few guarantee automatic shut-down of the engine for further safeguarding. To assess how effective this system is, the study administered a Likert-scale questionnaire on 50 respondents including Autotronics students, auto technicians, and drivers. The system was tested in four general areas including reliability, safety, user satisfaction, and accuracy. It was found that the users gave the system extremely high ratings in all parameters with an extremely high rating being given to safety followed by reliability and then user satisfaction. The study indicates that the users believe the system is able to detect overheating and respond immediately, which benefits the overall vehicle safety. This research validates the effectiveness of the system for actual- world applications and emphasizes the importance of user-driven testing while developing automotive technologies.
