Abstract

CO2 electrochemical reduction (CO2ER) activity is known to be influenced by electrode materials. In this study, we report the fabrication of a copper-nickel-modified boron-doped diamond (CuNi-BDD) electrode using wet chemical seeding and electrodeposition. Annealing was performed to improve the stability of the modified electrode during elec-trolysis. Characterization of the modified BDD electrodes shows successful deposition without damage to the surface of the BDD support material. CO2ER was conducted with the CuNi-BDD electrode, which produces various important products including methanol, formic acid, CO, and CH4. Additionally, a different applied potential affected the product distribution. CO2ER was also conducted on the surfaces of Cu-BDD and Ni-BDD electrodes for comparison.

Abstract

The curriculum at SMPIQu Al-Bahjah Cirebon faces a challenge in integrating the formal, official curriculum with the non-formal pesantren (Islamic boarding school) curriculum. This disconnect has resulted in the pesantren curriculum becoming somewhat "hidden" or underrepresented. The core issue addressed in this research is how to design, implement, and evaluate the development of this hidden pesantren curriculum. Using a qualitative research method, the study draws from both primary and secondary data, collected through observation and interviews. The findings reveal a five-step approach to developing the hidden curriculum. Implementation is achieved through structured activities such as work meetings, scheduling academic activities, enhancing the management information system (SIM), improving teaching staff and student resources, strengthening students' morals, and increasing proficiency in foreign languages. The evaluation process includes supervision, regular meetings, audits, and reporting. The study concludes that effective curriculum development hinges on a morals and creed-based education, improved administrative and management systems, optimization of media as a development tool, and active participation in competitions and events. This research contributes to the formulation of strategies for developing the hidden pesantren curriculum, offering practical benefits for all stakeholders involved.

Abstract

This study examines the harmonization of Islamic law (shariah) with international human rights standards, focusing specifically on criminal law in Muslim-majority countries. It investigates critical themes such as gender rights, religious freedom, and the administration of criminal justice through analytical and comparative methodologies. Central to the discussion is the application of maqasid al-syariah(objectives of Islamic law) as a dynamic framework to reinterpret Shariah in ways that align with global human rights norms. The findings underscore that while significant challenges persist, several Muslim-majority countries are embracing legal reforms inspired by maqasid al-syariah, particularly in areas like gender-sensitive laws and criminal justice reforms. Education and awareness campaigns emerge as pivotal for fostering a more nuanced understanding of the relationship between Shariah and human rights among scholars, policymakers, and the general public. The study emphasizes the importance of sustained dialogue between religious scholars, human rights advocates, and legal practitioners. It further recommends government initiatives to institutionalize legal reforms, integrate human rights education into national curricula, and establish frameworks for ongoing interfaith and intercultural discourse. Ultimately, the research concludes that harmonizing Shariah with global human rights standards is both feasible and essential. Achieving this balance will require collaborative efforts from all stakeholders to establish legal systems that uphold Islamic principles while ensuring the protection of individual rights. Such efforts not only enhance justice within Muslim-majority countries but also reinforce the universal applicability of Islamic values in a diverse and pluralistic global society.

Abstract

Thisresearch tries to analyze the implementation of religious character education in history subjects among Grade X IIS students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Religious character education is essential in shaping a generation that excels not only in knowledge and skills but also in moral integrity. The study takes a descriptive qualitative method, gathering data through observation, interviews, and recording. The findings reveal that history teachers have effectively designed and implemented learning activities based on religious values using lesson plans (RPP), while also cultivating religious habits among students, such as reciting the Qur’an (tadarus), praying together, and demonstrating respectful behavior in the classroom. The school also supports character development through various programs rooted in Islamic values. However, challenges remain in implementing religious character education, particularly due to the limited instructional time for history subjects, which is only two hours per week. This constraint reduces the teacher's ability to consistently monitor students' religious behavior. As a solution, the history teacher and the school have developed a historical excursion program to visit historical sites, including places of worship, to instill religious values in a contextual manner. Overall, implementing religious character education at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak is progressing well but still requires strong collaboration among teachers, the school, students, and parents for optimal outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak Suatu bangunan pasti selalu dihadapkan dengan risiko keruntuhan dan kerusakan struktur salah satunya oleh peristiwa gempa. Sejauh ini analisis pushover dan analisis time history merupakan dua pendekatan yang sering dilakukan dalam mengevaluasi kinerja struktur suatu bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi suatu bangunan warehouse material konstruksi baja di Cikarang melalui dua pendekatan analisis nonlinear sebagai perbandingan hasil kinerja struktur. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan data analisis yang digunakan adalah data teknis, geometri dan data parameter gempa. Dari hasil analisis pushover dan time history, didapatkan tingkat kinerja struktur yang sama yaitu termasuk kategori Immediate Occupancy (IO) baik untuk displacement arah X dan arah Y. Target displacement yang didapat dari pushover X sebesar 0,092 m dan pushover Y 0,069 m. Sedangkan displacement maksimum yang didapat dari hasil time history arah X berdasarkan rekaman gempa El Centro adalah sebesar 0,016 m dan rekaman gempa Pulau Sikuai pada arah Y 0,0047 m. Kata Kunci: Gempa, Struktur Baja, Analisis Pushover, Analisis Riwayat Waktu, Kinerja Struktur  Abstract A building must always be faced with the risk of collapse and structural damage, one of which is by earthquake events, so far pushover analysis and time history analysis are two approaches that are often carried out in evaluating the structural performance of a building, this study aims to evaluate a steel construction material warehouse building in Cikarang through two nonlinear analysis approaches as a comparison of structural performance results. This research method is quantitative with the analysis data used are technical data, geometry and earthquake parameter data. From the results of pushover and time history analysis, the same level of structural performance is obtained, namely including the Immediate Occupancy (IO) category for both X-direction and Y-direction displacement. The target displacement obtained from the X pushover is 0.092 m and the Y pushover is 0.069 m. While the maximum displacement obtained from the results of the X pushover is 0.092 m and 0.069 m. While the maximum displacement obtained from the X direction time history results based on the El Centro earthquake recording is 0.016 m and the Sikuai Island earthquake recording in the Y direction is 0.0047 m. Keywords: Earthquake, Steel Structure, Pushover Analysis, Time History Analysis, Structure Performance
