Abstract

The objective of this research was to know consumer’s preference at the city of Bandar Lampung and Metro. Data were collected on September until November 2006. Survey and census method were aplied for this research and used simple cluster sampling and sequential sampling technic. Data were analyzed by Conjoint Analysist. The result showed that the colour and package size of vermicelli were be two highest importance atribute. In general the atributes of vermicelli which had tend to be more prefered by consumer were white colour, not sting flavor, little diameter, cheap price, not rubbery, and silk-screening merk. Vendor consumer at Bandar Lampung like vermicelli which have atributes: white colour, price per 100 gram  more than Rp1.200,00, rubbery texture, poured packaging,  not sting flavor, the size of package more than 0,5 kg, little diameter, and silk-screening merk. Vendor consumer at Metro like vermicelli which have atributes: transparent colour, price per 100 gram less than Rp1.200,00, rubbery texture, poured package,  sting flavor, the size of package more than 0,5 kg, little diameter, and not silk-screening merk. Household cosumers at Bandar Lampung like vermicelli which have atributes: white colour, price per 100 gram less than Rp1.200,00, rubbery texture, packaged,  not sting flavor, the size of package 0,25-0,5 kg, little diameter, and silk-screening merk.  Household consumers at Metro like vermicelli which have atributes: transparent colour, price per 100 gram less than Rp1.200,00, not rubbery texture, packaged,  not sting flavor, the size of package less than 0,25kg, little diameter, and silk-screening merk.

Abstract

This research’s aims are to analyze  preference, patterns of consumption, and factors affecting of tiwul’s demand by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province. The study was conducted in South Lampung District and West Tulang Bawang District. There were four food stalls located at Dayasakti Village, Pulung Kencana Village, and Sidomulyo Village. Food stall sells tiwul as the main menu. There were 60 respondents in this study that was taken by accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out in February - June 2014. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive quantitative and verification analysis. The results showed that preference of tiwul by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province was at medium category. Attributes of tiwul that  wanted by consumers at stall food was low price (≤ Rp5,000), blackish brown color, chewy texture, not strong scent, little taste, and close mileage traveled. Consumption patterns of tiwul was as follows: consumption frequency of once to twice per month, usually consumed pure tiwul by the number of average consumption of 932.52 grams, and the reason for eating tiwul was because of the preference. Factors that significantly affected the demand of tiwul by consumers at food stall in Lampung Province was price of chicken gizzard, price of tempe, and ethnic. The side dish of gizzard chicken was as a complementary good and tempe was as a substitution good. Key words: consumption, demand, preference, tiwul

Abstract

This research aimed to study the owners understanding of marketing strategy of tapioca vermicelli, analyze the implementation of marketing strategy that has been done, and know the accessibility of consumers to obtain tapioca vermicelli.  This research used a case study method at Sinar Harapan (SH) and Bintang Obor (BO) Agroindustries. Respondents were the owners of agroindustries, distributors, and consumers of tapioca vermicelli.  Research data was analyzed by a descriptive statistical analysis (level of understanding through an all-round management approach and accessibility of consumers) and qualitative descriptive (the realization of marketing strategy that has been done).  The results showed that tapioca vermicelli’s producers at Metro City were quite understood the marketing strategy, but their implementation were not in accordance with their understanding.  The owner of BO considered more understood the importance of marketing strategy compared to the owner of SH.  The implementation of marketing strategy by SH and BO producers were almost the same.  The difference of these two agroindustries were that the BO implemented the price reserve strategy while SH did not.  Accessibility of consumers to obtained tapioca vermicelli was easy.Key words: accessibility, marketing strategy, tapioca vermicelli

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to determine the household consumer attitudes, purchasing patterns, and the dominant affecting factor of the instant seasoning purchase. This research was conducted in sub-district of Kemiling and Rajabasa of Bandar Lampung City. The number of 67 households was drawn by the method of group stages sampling.  The research data was analyzed by Fishbein and principal component analysis. The result showed that the pattern of instant seasoning purchases by consumers in Bandar Lampung as follows: the average purchase frequency of instant seasoning was twice per month, 3-4 sachet purchase amount, and the type of instant seasoning most preferred by consumers were racik tempe and fried rice. The most preferred and trusted attributes by consumers were the ease of obtaining the product, expired date information and the taste. Based on the score of attitude attributes on instant seasoning, the brand of Indofood and ease of obtaining the product got the highest score, followed by the attribute expiration information and the taste.  The dominant factor on influencing purchasing decisions of seasoning was formed by four main components (factors) based on the value of the loading factors.  The first component (information) consists of expiration information, others’ influences and composition of the product.  The second component (product) consists of the influence of taste, promotions and prices.  The third component (product suitability) consists of variables brand and conformity with the type of cuisine. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the main production cost of dried rice anchovy processing industry’s. This study was located in Pasaran Island, West Teluk Betung Sub-District, Bandar Lampung City. This study uses cencus method involves all of 38 dried rice anchovy cultivator, independent community, the Head of Proccesing and Marking of Fishery From Marine and Fishieries Department of Bandar Lampung and one of  the Indonesia’s Bank Placeman.  The analysis method in this study were determination of the main production cost and SWOT analysis. The result of the main production cost in summer monsoon, Normal monsoon, and eastern monsoon respectively were Rp43.330,15, Rp34.269,58 and Rp31.180,36. The selling price was determined on the main production cost by cultivator, so that the industry got the profit. The priority strategies to develope this processing industry were, a) using modern technology adoption, b) concluding a worker training, c) concluding a business book to maximize capital uses. Abstract

This research aims to know  the discipline level and performance of employees, the influence of individual characteristics on performance of employee through direct or indirect discipline, and the influence of discipline on performance of employee.  This research was conducted at PT Laju Perdana Indah site Komering South Sumatera, in Plantation Department specifically in Division 1st and 4th.  Data of this research was taken from January until February 2015 by a sensus methode that using 81 employees. Research data was analyzed by descriptive and verificative analysis.  The results showed that the discipline level of employees in Division 1st and 4thof PT Laju Perdana Indah was good enough and in average the employees performance had already met the expectations.  The period of work and ethnic had significantly direct influence on performance of employees, while employee’s age, education, and ethnic did not have influence on performance of employees.  The employee discipline was significantly influence on performance of employees. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of personality, motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention, in addition to know the relation between individual characteristics with the turnover intention as well as the influence of personality, motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on the turnover intention of hatchery employees at PT Prima Larvae. The research use census method and the location is chosen purposively in PT Prima Larvae, located in Cukuh Balak Sub District, Tanggamus Regency. Respondents in this study were all hatchery employees at PT Prima Larvae. Data collection was carried out from October to November 2018. The data analysis method used descriptive and verification analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that the level of motivation and turnover intention in the high category, while the level of job satisfaction in the medium category but tended to be low and the level of personality in the medium category but tended to be high, and the level of organizational commitment in the low category. The individual characteristics (age and tenure) related to employee’s intention turnover, but not of the level of education and status marital. In overall, personality, motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment influenced on employee turnover while partially only job satisfaction and organizational commitment.Key words: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intention

Abstract

This study aims to determine purchasing patterns, satisfaction levels, influence of service quality, product quality, and price perceptions of the satisfaction of Moo fresh milk consumers. The research was conducted by survey method at Chandra Department Store, Tanjung Karang. The research samples were recruited by accidental sampling. There were 50 households of Moo fresh milk consumers, in which respondents of this study were housewives. Data collecting was conducted in May-June 2018 and was analyzed by descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index Analysis (CSI), and verification analysis. The results of this study indicated that the type of purchase of Moo fresh milk was the most 1 liter. The volume of purchases of Moo fresh milk was mostly 1-3 litters per month with a frequency of purchases was 1-2 times per month. The score of Moo fresh milk consumer satisfaction was 80.43 percent, it meant that consumers were satisfied. Service quality and product quality had significant effects; unlike price perception had no significant effect on consumer?s satisfaction of fresh milk Moo.Key words: fresh milk, satisfaction, service quality

Abstract

This research aims to analyze household income, welfare, and factors that influence the household welfare of vaname cultivators ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari. Data of this research was collected in Bratasena Adiwarna village in February 2018. Samples in this research were 70 shrimp cultivators households. Determination of samples with simple random sampling. Primary data was obtained by interviewing respondens, while secondary data was obtained from several related institution. Household income consists of shrimp income, nonshrimp, off-farm and nonfarm income. Household welfare level was analyzed by the Sajogyo criteria and poverty line according to BPS Lampung (2017). The factors that influence household welfare was analyzed by binary logistic regression. The research result showed that the average shrimp income in period I, II, and III were Rp7,986,264; Rp13,868,109; and Rp27,334,963; average household income was Rp64,902,569.00 per year, which was obtained from 70 percent of shrimp income, 10 percent of nonshrimp income, 2 percent of off-farm income, and 18 percent of nonfarm income. The household welfare level based on the Sajogyo indicator showed that 37 percent of household were in moderate and 63 percent were in decent living class, while the BPS poverty line shows that all of households were classified as non-poor. The level of household welfare of ex-plasma PT Centralpertiwi Bahari was influenced by household income, and household dependents.Keywords: income, vaname shrimp cultivator, welfare

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation, discipline, and the employees’ performance in PT XXX, the effect of work motivation on the employees’ discipline in PT XXX, and the motivation on the employees’ performance both directly and indirectly through discipline in PT XXX.   The data collection was conducted in March 2017.  The method used wasa case study because this study involved all members of the population from the study area.  The available number of respondents in this study were 38 people. The first purpose was analyzed descriptively.  The second and third purposes were analyzed using path analysis.  The employees’ work motivation in PT XXX was included in the medium category (good enough).  The discipline of the employees was inthe good category for each dimension of three, namely working time, carrying out the work, and obeyingrules.  The employees’ performance in PT XXX was included in a good enough category.  In this study motivation did not affect the employees’ discipline in PT XXX.  Discipline had the biggest direct influence on the performance by 65.90 percent, compared with motivation by 36.50 percent,  the indirect effect value of motivation on performance is 11.30 percent.                                                                                                                                              Key words : dicipline, motivation, path analysis, performance employee
