Abstract

This study was intended to investigate the influence of inquiry learning approach assisted with square word media toward students’ mathematical understanding ability in learning mathematics. This study was conducted through quantitative research procedures namely quasi-experimental design. The populations were all students of class X at MAS Syamsuddhuha. The samples were 25 students of class X MIA 1 and 25 students of class X MIA 2, selected by purposive sampling. The nonequivalent posttest-only control group design was used. The data were obtained from the post-test results of the students’ mathematical understanding; they were analyzed by using SPSS 18 software. Since the data was not normal, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test was applied. The findings of this study showed that the significant value of the test was 0,000 and it was less than 0.05 allowed the H0 rejected. It can be concluded that there was an influence of inquiry learning approach assisted by word square media on students' mathematical understanding ability, which was done in the study of trigonometry II for class X at MAS Syamsuddhuha. Hence, mathematical understanding ability is a crucial aspect in solving mathematical problems which can be measured by applying inquiry learning approach in classroom.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. This study was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The design used in this study was The Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Four posttest questions were given to 25 students of Class VIII A and 25 students of Class VIII B at SMP Negeri Arun Lhokseumawe (public middle school). The data obtained from the posttest results were analyzed by data normality test and data homogeneity test, then hypotheses were tested using a t-test to see the effect of REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability. The results of the data analysis of the posttest score tested using the t-test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 > 0.05. This showed that there was a significant effect of using the REACT strategy assisted by GeoGebra software on students' mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

Kemampuan pembuktian matematis merupakan kemampuan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, kemampuan tersebut menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang sulit dikuasai siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal itu, perlu dikaji faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan pembuktian matematis. Kuesioner diberikan kepada 30 siswa kelas X salah satu SMA Swasta di Kota Bandung yang baru selesai belajar proses pembuktian matematis. Masing-masing butir pernyataan diberikan skor dan diurutkan dari skor tertinggi ke rendah, selanjutnya beberapa butir pernyataan tersebut dikelompokkan ke dalam faktor baru berdasarkan urutan skor. Hasil menunjukkan faktor pengalaman menjadi faktor terkuat bagi siswa dalam memengaruhi kemampuan pembuktian matematis. Faktor berikutnya adalah faktor kemampuan, faktor waktu, faktor sikap dan motivasi, serta faktor guru.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan Learning Management System (LMS)  berbasis Moodle dilihat dari segi kevalidan, kemenarikan dan kepraktisan sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif pembelajaran daring dimasa pandemi Covid-19 di SMA N 2 Lhokseumawe.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan research and development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu: Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 25 orang guru dan 25 orang siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan LMS menunjukkan sangat valid dengan hasil persentase oleh ahli media sebesar 90,63% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, ahli materi sebesar 83,33% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”, dan oleh ahli bahasa sebesar 86,66% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. Selanjutnya hasil kepraktisan LMS diperoleh persentase sebesar 84,42% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” dan dari segi kemenarikan LMS diperoleh sebesar 80,03% dengan kategori “sangat menarik”. Dengan demikian hasil penilaian produk oleh semua validator yang menyatakan sangat valid, penilaian guru yang menyatakan sangat praktis, dan penilaian siswa sangat menarik maka LMS berbasis Moodle yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria sangat layak menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk pembelajaran daring di SMA N 2 Lhokseumawe.   Abstract The purpose of this study to find out how developing Learning Management System (LMS) using Moodle approach based on validity, attractiveness and practicality, which can be an alternative to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic) at SMA N 2 Lhokseumawe. The research method used is research and development (R&D), with the ADDIE development model which is: Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. The research subjects consisted of 25 teachers and 25 students at SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe. The results showed the percentage validity results of the LMS using moodle approach product by media experts were 90,63%  in the "very valid" category, material experts were 83,33% in the "very valid" category, and by linguists of 86,66% with the category "very valid". Furthermore, the results of practicality is 84,42% in the "very practical" category and attractiveness by 80,03% in the "very interesting" category. The results of the product assessment by all validators who stated that they were very valid, the teacher's assessment which stated that it was very practically, and the student assessment was very interesting, so the LMS using moodle developed already very suitable for online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA N 2 Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Assessment Kompetisi Minimum (AKM) is an assessment of the basic competencies possessed by students on a national scale. One of the skills required to participate in the AKM is numeracy literacy. To train these abilities, students must get used to working on numeracy literacy questions. However, at SMP Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan which is located in Labuhanbatu, the treasury of numeracy literacy questions is still lacking and those that use the socio-cultural context of Labuhanbatu do not yet exist. So it is necessary to develop numeracy literacy questions using the socio-cultural context of Labuhanbatu. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the results of developing numeracy literacy questions using the socio-cultural context of Labuhanbatu and to determine the numeracy literacy skills of students using these questions. The questions referred to the Minimum Competition Assessment (AKM). The type of this research is Design Research type Development Study which has been modified. This research consists of a stage preliminary, self-evaluation, expert review, and field test. Based on the validation from the validator, all questions can be used for field tests. The results of the field test consist of 14 questions with the criteria "very adequate for use", 2 questions with the criteria "adequate for use", and 1 question with the criteria "considered for use". All questions are included in the final product. The final product is used to see the students' numeracy literacy skills. The percentage of students' numeracy literacy skills is 3% "high" and 97% "low". The average percentage of students who answer questions at the cognitive level of knowing, applying, and reasoning are 50% and 32%, respectively. and 18%.

Abstract

Kemampuan pembuktian matematis merupakan bagian dari kemampuan penalaran matematis. Salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika di Indonesia adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut karena berfungsi untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi. Kemampuan pembuktian matematis terdiri dari dua sub-kemampuan, yaitu kemampuan memahami bukti matematis dan kemampuan mengonstruksi bukti matematis. Salah satu topik matematika SMA yang sarat dengan pembuktian matematis adalah trigonometri. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan memahami bukti matematis berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan mengonstruksi bukti matematis. Sebuah tes yang terdiri dari 4 soal kemampuan memahami bukti matematis dan 3 soal kemampuan mengonstruksi matematis diberikan kepada 30 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA Kota Bandung. Skor siswa dianalisis secara statistik. Hasil analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam memahami bukti matematis berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan mengonstruksi bukti matematis. Hasil tersebut mengisyaratkan bahwa guru selama proses pembelajaran matematika seharusnya tidak hanya fokus untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengonstruksi bukti matematis tetapi juga harus fokus dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami bukti matematis.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve teachers’ understanding about how to write a scientific article through classroom action research. The program which was training about classroom action research was held for 42 teachers of MTsS and MAS Syamsuddhuha, North Aceh. The training was held face to face with health protocols. The topics were introduction of classroom action research, classroom action research with e-learning, statistics in classroom action research, anbuso program, and academic writing technique. During the training, the teachers were enthusiastic. It could be seen on a session, they asked many questions and told more about their experiences. The result of the program showed that the teachers could understand about classroom action research procedures. In academic writing session, they could identify the components that must be present in the introduction, methods, and results and discussion of the example article given. It can be concluded that the training has positive impact on the teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) mahasiswa calon guru matematika Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Malikussaleh. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis rancangan penelitian survei. Adapun yang menjadi populasi adalah mahasiswa semester 5 dan 7 yang telah lulus matakuliah yang berkaitan dengan konsep dasar matematika, konsep pedagogik, dan penggunaan ICT. Untuk mengukur TPACK, 44 soal telah disusun berdasarkan indikator masing-masing komponen TPACK. Setelah validasi, hasilnya 37 pertanyaan valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas cronbach alfa 0,590. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Profil Technological Knowledge (TK),  Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), dan  Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) mahasiswa mayoritas berada pada level sedang; (2) Profil Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), dan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) mahasiswa mayoritas berada pada level rendah; dan (3) Dari tujuh komponen TPACK, ada dua komponen yang lebih menonjol, yaitu PK, dan  PCK. Hasil tersebut menjadi masukan bahwa dalam proses perkuliahan perlu ditekankan pada penguasaan teknologi, materi matematika serta pengintegrasian teknologi.

Abstract

Kurangnya kegigihan dalam penyelesaian masalah membuat siswa terlihat sukar menyelesaikan masalah yang berbeda, hal ini menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Untuk itu penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan GeoGebra diharapkan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir  kreatif matematis siswa yang diajarkan melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan GeoGebra lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajarkan  melalui  pendekatan  saintifik  di  SMA Negeri 1 Muara Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental design dengan menggunakan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Muara Batu tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas  XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data diperoleh  dari  hasil tes instrumen kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa berupa tes pretest dan postest serta dianalisis uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis berbantuan software SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan GeoGebra  lebih baik dari pada siswa yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan saintifik di SMA Negeri 1 Muara Batu.
