Abstract

The research about application of electrocoagulation method regarding the decrease level of metal ion such Fe, Mn, turbidity and color on peat water treatment ini batch method had been done. The research in batch method using alumunium (Al) plat as electrode until obtained higher efficiency elimination on voltages of 12 volt with electrocoagulation process time, 120 minute in batch method. The result on variation of voltages was capable to decrease Fe level with efficiency 99.87% from 3.6899 mg/L become 0.0045 mg/L and followed by Mn 95.90% from 0.0244 mg/L become -0.0008 mg/L, turbidity 98% from 385 NTU become 0,95 NTU and color 97.67% from 338.08 Pt-Co become 7.8646 Pt-Co. Long term variation of contact was capable to decrease fe level with efficiency 99.57% from 3.6899 mg/L to 0.0158 mg/L followed by Mn 93.03% from 0.0244 mg/L become 0.0017 mg/L, turbidity 99.74% from 385 NTU to 0.97 NTU and color 98.73% from 338.08 Pt-Co become 4.2985 Pt-Co. Elimination percent has proving electrocoagulation method was capable to decreasing the level of Fe ion, Mn, turbidity and color on peat water and comply the regulation of healthy minister Indonesia Republic No 416/MENKES/PER/IX/1990 regarding clean water quality Keywords :Peat Water, Electrocoagulation, Fe, Mn, Turbidity, Color Intensity

Abstract

The condition of State and Private Universities in Indonesia, especially West Java, is connected with the condition of universities in the world is still very alarming. PTN and PTS rankings in Indonesia and West Java in particular are still far from expectations. West Java Higher Education Position for world level still not able to occupy the rank of 100 magnitude. Still far from the top 50 positions. Even to the level of Asia although not many PT in Indonesia especially West Java which is able to occupy the top 50 rankings. In ASEAN only UI is able to rank 6th ASEAN. The others are far from expectations. The phenomenon of such problems need to be explored and sought by the solution so that Indonesian universities in West Java can advance in the competition among PT in the world, especially ASEAN and Asia so as to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian nation in the competition of nations in the world.Keywords: Universities, Competitiveness, Asean Economic Community

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsep diri dengan penyesuaian diri siswa Negeri 1 Napabalano. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 49 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel  menggunakan Proporsional Random Sampling.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket konsep diri dan angket penyesuaian diri. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan Pearson Product Moment Correlation dengan bantuan SPSS versi 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dengan penyesuaian diri siswa SMP Negeri 1 Napabalano artinya semakin  tinggi konsep diri siswa maka semakin tinggi penyesuaian diri siswaSMP Negeri 1 Napabalano. Kata Kunci: Penyesuaian Diri, Konsep Diri

Abstract

Research which has been conducted in this study aims to determine the use of the compound as a Nafion membrane in a Proton Exchange Membrane system (PEM) Fuel Cells which acts as a proton exchange (H + ). After assessment and computational chemistry calculations by calculating the value of energy optimization and molecular orbital energies obtained in the form of the HOMO and LUMO energy. Value calculation is done by using the calculation method of Density Function Theory (density function theory). The analysis showed Nafion energy value of -0.04358 x 10-18 J and Nafion after bringing energy protons (H+) of -0.07629 x 10-18 J. In this case proved that the PEM system of exchanging protons (H + ) is characterized by the presence of increased energy electron activity.Keywords : Proton Exchange Membrane, Fuel Cells, Nafion, Proton (H + ), the activity of electrons, density functional theory, the energy of the HOMO, LUMO energy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran kimia berbasis multipel representasi berbantuan powerpoint pada pokok bahasan larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode research and development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Robert Maribe Branch yang terdiri atas analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas X IPA SMAN 12 Samarinda. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan tes dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, soal pretest dan posttest, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa modul dan animasi sangat valid dengan nilai validasi dari ahli materi sebesar 94,60%, ahli media sebesar 90,91%, dan ahli IT sebesar 86,84%. Kepraktisan berdasarkan hasil analisis angket respon siswa sebesar 88,01% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Keefektifan berdasarkan hasil analisis pretest dan posttest siswa dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,78 dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, modul dan powerpoint pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa kelas X IPA dan guru mata pelajaran kimia.

Abstract

A kinetic study of ironwood powder pyrolysis using thermogravimetric analysis has been conducted. This study aims to determine the thermal decomposition process and determine the activation energy value of ironwood powder pyrolysis using the free Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) and Friedman models. Pyrolysis in this study used heating rates of 10, 15, 20, and 25 ºC/minute. The active temperature range of ironwood powder pyrolysis was 130.88 – 552.21ºC. The thermal decomposition process occurred in three stages, namely 1. evaporation of water or moisture, 2. active pyrolysis for the decomposition of hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin compounds, and 3. passive pyrolysis caused by gasification and the formation of non-volatile carbon compounds which evaporate to form CO and CO2 gases at high temperatures. The average activation energy of the pyrolysis of ironwood powder using the Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) and Friedman methods were 137.34 ± 30.05 kJ/mol and 147.83 ± 36.66 kJ/mol, respectively. Abstract

Pyrolysis study of Ulin (Eusideroxylon zwageri) sawdust in the presence of Ni/SBA-15 using a pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (Py-GC/MS) instrument has been carried out. This study aims to determine the chemical composition of pyrolysis products of Ulin sawdust after the addition of Ni/SBA-15 catalyst. Pyrolysis was carried out at 350, 450 and 550 ºC under helium (He) gas. Based on the percent area of the pyrolysis product identified on the pyrogram, the product of lignin derivatives before the addition of the Ni/SBA-15 catalyst was 58.53-68.14% and after the addition of the Ni/SBA-15 catalyst decreased to 51.08-58.33%. While the cellulose/hemicellulose derivative products before the addition of the Ni/SBA-15 catalyst were 15.62-17.78% and after the addition of the Ni/SBA-15 catalyst increased to 18.91-25.79%. Ulin sawdust catalyzed pyrolysis produced compounds with the highest area percent, namely catechol, isoelemicin, 2-Methoxy-4-vinylphenol, 1,6-anhydro-beta-D-Glucopyranose, and hydroxy-acetaldehyde. Abstract

A kinetic study of pyrolysis of meranti wood using the Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS), Ozawa-Flynn-Wall (OFW), and Friedman methods using thermogravimetric analysis has been carried out. This study aims to study the synergistic effect of meranti wood and determine the activation energy value. Pyrolysis was carried out at four heating rates, namely 10, 15, 20, and 25°C/minute under N2 gas. The temperature range in the active pyrolysis of meranti wood is 128,42-521°C. The average activation energy values of pyrolysis of meranti wood using the KAS, OFW, and Friedman methods were 170,84 ± 30,07 kJ/mol, 180,36 ± 29,42 kJ/mol, respectively 174, ± 54,77 kJ/mol. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work placement on employee performance at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu Branch, both partially and simultaneously. There are several factors that will be discussed in this study, including Compensation (X1), and Work Placement (X2). The object of this research is 50 employees at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu Branch. In this research the authors use the method of data collection by means of observation, questionnaires or questionnaires, and interviews.There are several data analysis techniques used in this study, including using the instrument test, classic assumption test, respondent response analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, determinant coefficient, and also hypothesis testing. From the results of tests that have been carried out it can be concluded that the compensation variable (X1), and work placement (X2) have a partial or simultaneous effect on employee performance at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Bengkulu Branch. From the results of multiple linear regression tests obtained the regression equation is as follows: Y = 4.101 + 0.978 (X1) + 0.640 (X2). Keywords: Compensation, Work Placement and Employee Performance.
