Mahasiswa memiliki peran terhadap perubahan yang lebih signifikan dan progresif, khususnya dalam upaya mengembangkan masyarakat yang sejahtera, adil dan makmur, dengan menggunakan wawasan intelektual disertai dengan kegiatan yang nyata. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan salah satu bentuk perwujudan akan pengabdian mahasiswa terhadap masyarakat serta sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab mahasiswa terhadap problematika yang kini dihadapi oleh masyarakat. Desa adalah unit yang terpenting dalam pencapaian cita-cita dasar berbangsa dan bernegara. Bahkan untuk mencari ukuran tepat dalam menilai apakah sebuah bangsa itu sejahtera atau tidak, adil atau tidak, bermanfaat atau tidak maka secara akademik dapat dikatakan bahwa desa adalah unit yang paling relevan untuk dipelajari. Tidak itu saja, harus ada dorongan yang terus menerus bagi tumbuh kembangnya potensi alamiah dan potensi dinamik pedesaan. Rumusnya ialah apabila bisa disinergikan segala potensi itu melalui administrasi pedesaan dan forum-forum yang konstruktif dan masif tentu akan sangat membantu perkembangan desa yang lebih maju. Walaupun desa merupakan unit paling bawah dalam sistem pemerintahan di Indonesia, peran, fungsi serta kontribusi yang diharapkan justru menempati posisi vital baik dari segi ilmu administrasi negara, lebih-lebih secara sosial. Beberapa alasan mengapa desa menempati unit penting yang harus mendapatkan perhatian dari negara dan birokrasi negara di semua level (the bureaucracies) maupun tokoh warga desa sekitar adalah pertimbangan bahwa masyarakat kebanyakan tinggal di desa, banyak masalah elementer yang hanya bisa dimulai mengatasinya dari unit wilayah di pedesaan. Sesuai dengan Tri Dharma Universitas, yaitu mentransformasikan fungsi ilmu pengetahuan, pengembangan ilmu melalui kegiatan penelitian serta mengaplikasikannya ke dalam kehidupan masyarakat melalui kegiatan pengabdian, salah satunya dengan kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Maka dari itu, untuk dapat merealisasikan cita-cita yang mulia tersebut, kami mahasiswa UIN Sumatera Utara Medan mengadakan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) tahun 2021 berbasis Moderasi Beragama dan Wahdatul Ulum di bawah bimbingan Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (DPL) dan di bawah naungan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LP2M) bekerjasama dengan Fakultas di lingkungan UIN SU. Lokasi KKN di Dusun III Kp. Pisang, Desa Lobu Huala, Kecamatan Kualuh Selatan, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara.

This study aims to determine the analysis of local wisdom of fruit and flower parties in Berastagi in the perspective of cultural communication This research The method used in this study is Qualitative Discriptive, which provides an overview and identification based on qualitative data. Nazir (2003) explains that the descriptive method not only provides an overview but also explains relationships, makes predictions and obtains the meaning and implications of a problem to be resolved. and directly to the field directly. The results of this research are cultural communication at the Karo fruit and flower festival through traditional media and art performances, through art performances during fruit and flower parties, the entire series of events uses traditional Karo dance. This performance features the Landek dance and the famous five-series dance in Tanah Karo. This festival is a clear example of how local traditions and culture can contribute to sustainable development and preservation of cultural heritage. The supporting factor in this fruit and flower festival is the awareness and concern of the Karo community, actively participating in the event. Mutual cooperation and the success of the event, as well as government support, provide a legal and financial basis for cultural promotion through regional tourism programs. The obstacles experienced are changes in lifestyle, the influence of foreign culture and modern lifestyles which can reduce people's interest, especially the younger generation, in local traditions. Because for them, this event has only become a spectacle, not an application and can be an example for preserving culture.

Interpersonal communication is a process of communication or interaction that exchanges ideas, either language or symbols that can be understood by others through spoken, written and non-verbal channels. This interpersonal communication has the goal of obtaining a good relationship between lecturers and students in terms of academic achievement, obtaining learning information and influencing behavior patterns and attitudes of communication between lecturers and students. The academic community, including lecturers, education staff and students, must improve interpersonal communication in supporting learning activities, research and community service. The measure of the success of a student is influenced by the lecturer as a teacher who continues to provide direction, communicate and exchange information. This study aims to see how influential interpersonal communication carried out by lecturers is on student academic achievement in the 2019 Stambuk Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, UIN North Sumatra Medan. With a sample of 39 students from a total population of 155 people. The method used in this study is to use quantitative methods and use simple regression tests to manage data. Based on the results of research on the Effect of Lecturer Interpersonal Communication on Student Academic Achievement in the Stambuk 2019 Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Uin Sumatera Utara, Medan, found results. The Effect of Lecturer Interpersonal Communication Variables on Student Academic Achievement of the 2019 Stambuk Communication Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, UIN North Sumatra. Based on the results of the test for the coefficient of determination in the simple regression test using the SPSS program, an RSquare value of 0.489 was obtained, which means that the independent variable is able to explain the dependent variable by 49% and the remaining 55% is explained by other variables that cannot be explained in this study.

This study aims to analyze the moral message contained in the music video "Life Goes On" from the music group BTS using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This music video was chosen because it presents a meaningful visual narrative that can be interpreted through the existing signs. This research uses descriptive analysis methods to identify signs that communicate moral messages, then analyzes the hidden meaning behind these signs. The main findings of this research reveal that the music video "Life Goes On" communicates a moral message about courage, hope and solidarity in facing difficult times. The results of the analysis also highlight the use of visual symbols that depict the power of friendship and togetherness in overcoming life's challenges. This research makes an important contribution to understanding how moral messages can be conveyed through visual media such as music videos, as well as the importance of semiotic studies in deciphering the meaning of hidden signs.

The political year has seemed to be moving so fast. The 2019 Presidential General Elections in Indonesia gave rise to various political communications in order to attract public sympathizers. At the time, political contestation was often associated with a variety of utterances which in the end provoked conflict so that politics in the country was more interesting to study, especially in the study of political communication. All remarks conveyed by political communication figures are considered as interesting things to study. Various kinds of utterances, speeches or statements can in fact have an effect on the interlocutor so that the messages of political communication are considered to have certain symbols, both verÂbally and non-verbally. Nevertheless, political communication delivered by political actors can actually have an extraordinary effect on political opponents. Not just words, even body gestures can become weapons of political messages that can have an effect on political opponents. This paper discusses political symbols, such as speech or body gestures that can have an extraordinary effect on political opponents. All was done to attract public interest in one of the candidates for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, especially in the context of the 2019 General Elections..Keywords: Political Messages, Sound Bite, Political NewsÂ Tahun politik terasa bergerak begitu cepat. Berbagai macam ucapan, ujaran ataupun pernyataan nyatanya bisa memberikan efek terÂhadap lawan bicara sehingga pesan-pesan komunikasi politik dianggap mempunyai simbol-simbol tertentu, baik secara verbal maunpun non-verÂbal. Kendati demikian, komunikasi politik yang disampaikan oleh para aktor politik ternyata bisa memberikan efek yang luar biasa terhadap lawan politik. Bukan hanya sekadar ucapan, bahkan gestur tubuh pun bisa menÂjadi senjata pesan politik yang dapat memberikan efek kepada lawan politik. This research aims to find out the forms of corruption in Bagan village in Tanjung Tiram sub-district, Batubara district, the communication strategy carried out by the preacher in preventing corruption in Bagan village in Tanjung Tiram sub-district, Batubara district and to find out the obstacles faced by the preachers and the solutions made by the preachers in preventing them. abuse in Bagan village in Tanjung Tiram sub-district, Coal Regency. This type of research is field research. In this study, I used a qualitative descriptive method, namely by looking for actual and detailed data and information in a non-statistical way. In data collection techniques, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the form of propaganda in Bagan Village is influenced by several factors that contribute to its increase. First, the low level of education and knowledge about the dangers of drugs among the public is one of the main causes. Dai's communication in Drug Abuse in Bagan Village uses platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram groups, Dai can reach a wider and more diverse audience. One of the main challenges we face is the misunderstanding of some people about the urgency and negative impact of drug propaganda. Some still feel that this is a problem that is far from their everyday lives and lack understanding of the potential dangers of drugs. This research is entitled "2018 UIN North Sumatra communication science students' perceptions of androgynous celebrity fashion on Instagram". The aim of this research is to find out whether there are students' positive perceptions of androgynous celebrity fashion on Instagram. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method. The population in this study was 330 students from the 2018 UIN North Sumatra communication science program. The technique used in sampling was the Slovin formula with a significance level of 10%. So a sample of 77 respondents was determined. The results of the research on the t test with 15 questions on the perception variable showed that students had a positive perception of androgynous celebrity fashion on Instagram.

This research aims to investigate the role of public relations management in promoting the integrity of SMK Tritech Informatika to the community in Medan City. A qualitative descriptive research method was employed, utilizing The Excellence Theory as the theoretical framework. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the study indicate that there are three steps that should be undertaken by public relations management to promote the school's integrity, namely understanding the internal and external conditions of the school, improving the physical and non-physical aspects of the school, and introducing the school to the community while establishing collaborations with relevant institutions. These findings have significant implications for the development of effective public relations management strategies in enhancing the school's image and reputation in the eyes of the public. It is expected that the results of this research will contribute to the understanding and practice of educational public relations management and serve as a reference for other schools in enhancing integrity and fostering positive relationships with the surrounding community.

Riset ini membahas tentang bagaimana perilaku komunikasi Intrepersonal dalam penggunaan media sosial Youtube pada anak remaja di kelurahan Pulo Brayan Darat I, Kecamatan Medan Timur khususnya lingkungan XI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku komunikasi interpersonal dalam penggunaan media sosial YouTube pada anak remaja berusia 13-17 tahun salah satunya pelajar SMA dan dampak perilaku yang mempengaruhi pada anak remaja dalam pengguna media sosial Youtube tersebut. Metode penelitian ini yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Studi kasus deskriptif sebagai proses penelitian untuk menghasilkan data deskriptif yang berupa tertulis maupun lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati berupa observasi dan wawancara adalah teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Dengan mewawancarai key informan dari pihak Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Sumatera Utara, Kepala Lurah Pulo Brayan Darat I, pelajar SMA dan juga orang tua terdiri dari 7 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku komunikasi interpersonal dalam penggunaan media sosial youtube. Dan dampak dari anak remaja dalam penggunaan media sosial YouTube dapat menimbulkan kecanduan penggunaan media sosial tersebut. Sehingga, anak remaja menjadi berperilaku yang menyimpang. Kata Kunci : Perilaku; Komunikasi Interpersonal; YouTube; Remaja ABSTRACT This research discusses how Intrepersonal communication behavior in the use of Youtube social media among teenagers in the Pulo Brayan Darat I village, East Medan District, especially the XI environment. The purpose of this study was to find out how interpersonal communication behavior in the use of YouTube social media among teenagers aged 13-17 years, one of them is high school students and the impact of behavior that affects teenagers on Youtube social media users. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Descriptive case studies as a research process to produce descriptive data in the form of written and oral from people and observed behavior in the form of observations and interviews are data collection techniques carried out in this study. By interviewing key informants from the Department of Communication and Information of North Sumatra, the Head of Pulo Brayan Darat I Village, high school students and also their parents consisting of 7 people. The results of this study indicate that interpersonal communication behavior in the use of social media youtube. And the impact of teenagers in using YouTube social media can lead to addiction to the use of social media. So, teenagers become deviant behavior.
