Abstract

Waste can be used as organic material rich in lignin and cellulose which is expected to increase the efficiency of the use of NPK fertilizers and increase the growth and production of shallots. Like other organic fertilizers, oyster mushroom baglog waste is able to increase the physical, chemical and biological fertility of the soil. The application of organic fertilizer is expected to increase the efficiency of the use of NPK fertilizers. This research took place from May to July 2019 which was carried out on land owned by farmers on Jalan Sukarela, Lorong Mataram, Sukarami District, Palembang City, South Sumatra. The layout in the field is based on the Split-plot Design. with 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications so that there were 27 plots and 5 sample plants. As Main Plot: Baglog Waste Fertilizer (L): 15 tons/ha (L1), 20 tons/ha (L2) and 25 tons/ha (L3). As a sub-plot, NPK fertilizer (N): 100 kg/ha (N1), 150 kg/ha (N2), 200 kg/ha (N3). The results showed that the use of baglog waste fertilizer of 20 tons/ha was able to increase the efficiency of NPK fertilization by 100 kg/ha and produced the highest tuber weight per plot of 733.33 g or the equivalent of 3.67 tons/ha.

Abstract

The negative impact of using synthetic pesticides is harmful to health and damaging the environment. Pesticide residues can endanger health and reduce the competitiveness of agricultural products. The use of pesticides includes synthetic nematicides being suppressed or even avoided. One alternative to nematode control that is safe for health and environmentally friendly is bionematicide in organic chicken manure enriched with Trichoderma sp. Production of bio nematicides is an option to be applied by the farmer. This method of making bio nematicides uses simple technology, is practical, inexpensive, and easy to do at the farm level. In addition, the manufacture of this bionematicide will increase the benefits of chicken manure waste. This Community Service Activity that carried out in Pangkalan Gelebak Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency, on May 6, 2020. The result of this activity is that the farmers are very enthusiastic and motivated to make bionematicide. The bio nematicide produced is expected to control root-knot nematodes on cultivated plants to increase crop production and reduce dangerous synthetic pesticides. Bio nematicide uses are free from toxic pesticides, safe for health, more environmentally friendly, and will ultimately improve the welfare of farmers

Abstract

Indonesia is known as one country with a high diversity of flora. Several plants that grow in Indonesia produce certain compounds as medicines and as the primary raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry. The wealth of natural resources owned should be known by the people of Indonesia and can use them to improve welfare, including maintaining their health. The people of Sukajadi Village, Sungai Rattan District, and Muara Enim Regency need to be informed about the types, benefits, and methods of cultivating medicinal plants and making Live Pharmacies. This knowledge is advantageous to help rural communities overcome health problems with mild symptoms because, during the COVID-19 PANDEMIC, which has been going on for a long time, it turns out to cause concern. People fear contracting the COVID-19 virus, which is very dangerous if they go to hospitals, PUSKESMAS and other health facilities. Knowledge of the types, benefits and availability of live dispensaries in each residential area is expected to help rural communities overcome diseases with only mild symptoms and must continue to seek medical treatment. Medicinal plants are felt to have not been able to overcome the disease, especially for people with serious illnesses.

Abstract

The use of chemical pesticides in controlling pests is still widely used by some farming communities in Babatan Village, Lintang Kanan District, Empat Lawang Regency. Improved use of chemical pesticides hurts agricultural production and the environment. One alternative to chemical pesticides is plant-based pesticides which are safer and more environmentally friendly in supporting the implementation of integrated pest control (IPM). The results of a field survey in Babatan Village show that many plants can be used as vegetable pesticides, such as citronella (Cymbopogon sp) as a substitute for chemical pesticides. This counseling activity aims to introduce the benefits and methods of making lemongrass extract to control the pest stink bugs (Leptocorisa acuta L.) which attack many rice plants in Babatan Village. Implementation of activities on 4-5 February 2022 with the target targeting members of the Makmur Jaya Farmer Group. This community service activity uses counseling methods (lectures and discussions), demonstrations, and evaluations. The results of this activity indicate that the members of the Makmur Jaya Farmer Group, Babatan Village, Lintang Kanan District, Empat Lawang Regency gave a good response, can understand, and will apply the method of making and using the lemon grass plant pesticide in suppressing the stink bugs pest population so that the cost of buying chemical pesticides can be reduced, produce healthy plants, no residue that pollutes the product and the environment, and sustainably increases production.

Abstract

The community of Gelebak Dalam Village, Rambutan Sub-district, Banyuasin Regency is a village rich in plants and livestock, including rice, vegetables and fruits as well as chickens, cows, goats, ducks. All of them are sources of agricultural waste that can be used as organic fertilizer. The processed organic fertilizers can be used for rice, vegetables and fruit crops, reduce organic agricultural agricultural waste which can improve land to become more fertile and quality in the resulting production (improve the quality in terms of taste) and can very clearly reduce the use of chemical fertilizers. This counseling was carried out from July 2022 to August 2022 for the people of Gelebak Dalam Village The methods used included counseling, demonstration of making organic fertilizers and mentoring until organic fertilizers were successfully made. The aim of this counseling is that it is hoped that the community can utilize agricultural waste to be processed into organic fertilizer. The hope that the Village community will process agricultural waste into organic fertilizer is very large with successive questions arising and will enthusiastically try to apply it to their own rice fields and gardens. The results achieved are that farmers have succeeded in making organic fertilizer from agricultural waste in the village of Gelebak Dalam.

Abstract

Counseling activities on the use of biopesticides in controlling pests in rice cultivation in the target area of BPP Nusa Bakti, Belitang III District, OKU Timur Regency have been carried out successfully. The aim of the extension activities is to increase understanding of biopesticides and their use as an alternative solution that is environmentally friendly in controlling pest attacks on rice plants. Implementation of activities from January 25 to February 17 2022 with participants from the Nusa Bakti assisted area group. The methods used are counseling (submission of materials and discussions), demonstrations (application of biopesticide) and evaluation. The results of this extension activity showed a positive response and farmer enthusiasm, increased knowledge about biopesticides, and was considered to provide an environmentally friendly influence in controlling rice plant pests.

Abstract

Arthropods are a diverse group of animals and play an important role in agricultural ecosystems, including in cucumber plantings in Talang Ilir Hamlet, Banyuasin Regency. This research aims to determine the diversity and abundance of arthropods in the canopy of cucumber plantations in Talang Ilir Hamlet, Banyuasin Regency. The research was carried out in February and April 2023 at 3 cucumber planting locations in Talang Ilir Hamlet, Banyuasin Regency. Observations were made by identifying, and recording the number and type of arthropods at different times in each location. The research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design and the research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a further BNT test at 5% level. The research results showed that the arthropod species found at the 3 observation locations were Coccinella sp, Aulacophora sp, Diaphania sp, Spodoptera sp, Ideopsis sp, and Apis sp. The highest average number of arthropods was found in A2 (Diaphania sp) 3.37 individuals, and followed by A5 (Apis sp), A1 (Coccinella sp), A6 (Ideopsis sp), A3 (Aulacophora sp) and A4 (Spodoptera sp) respectively. 2.90, 1.77, 1.47, 1.23 and 0.10 tails. Location 1 (L1) had a higher average number of arthropods, namely 2.22 compared to Location 2 (L2) 1.57 and Location 3 (L3) 1.63 arthropods. Based on the type and location of observations, it was concluded that there were significant differences in the number of arthropods in the cucumber plantings of Talang Ilir Hamlet, Banyuasin Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of planting distance and liquid fertilizer dosage on the growth and production of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L). This study examines the effect of a combination of planting distance and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer based on animal waste on the growth and production of shallots (Allium spp.). The study was conducted using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two main factors, namely planting distance (D1: 20 × 20 cm, D2: 15 × 20 cm, D3: 10 × 20 cm) and dosage of liquid organic fertilizer (J0: control, J1: 250 ml/liter of water, J2: 500 ml/liter of water, J3: 750 ml/liter of water). The variables observed included plant height, number of leaves, bulb weight per plant, and bulb weight per plot. The results showed that increasing fertilizer dosage and wider planting distance significantly increased plant growth and production. ANOVA showed that planting distance and fertilizer dose had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, tuber weight per plant, and tuber weight per plot, but the interaction between the two factors was not significant. Application of high dose fertilizer (750 ml/liter) and wider planting distance (20 × 20 cm) resulted in optimal growth in all variables.

The study aimed to obtain data on the dynamics and types of arthropods in cabbage plantations. The study was conducted in cabbage plantations in Kerinjing Village, Pagaralam City from June 2024 to July 2024. The method used to determine the types and populations of arthropods was by setting traps on the soil surface and insect nets (sweep nets) for arthropods in the plant canopy. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further Least Significant Difference (LSD) tests at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study found six orders of arthropods, namely Araneida, Coleoptera, Dermaptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera. The population of arthropods in each order was found to fluctuate. The highest population in the Dermaptera order was 6.79 individuals, and the lowest in the Araneida order was 0.78 individuals, while in the Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera orders were 0.83, 0.92, 2.46, and 0.93, respectively. Data on the dynamics of diverse arthropod populations can be the basis for determining the timing and methods of environmentally friendly and sustainable pest population control in cabbage plantations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kedudukan putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) dalam kaitannya dengan kewenangan prerogatif presiden pada proses hukum acara di Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara (PTUN). Latar belakang muncul dari gugatan Yayasan Citta Loka Taru terhadap Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto terkait tidak diberhentikannya Menteri Desa dan PDT Yandri Susanto setelah amar putusan MK tentang Pemilihan Bupati Serang 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif, yaitu analisis terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan, doktrin hukum, serta putusan MK dan PTUN. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa putusan MK bersifat final dan mengikat berdasarkan UU Nomor 24 Tahun 2003 juncto UU Nomor 8 Tahun 2011, namun tidak menciptakan kewajiban administratif yang dapat diuji di PTUN atas hak prerogatif presiden. Terdapat ketimpangan norma antara UU MK dan UU Administrasi Pemerintahan (UU Nomor 30 Tahun 2014) yang menegaskan bahwa keputusan presiden dalam mengangkat dan memberhentikan menteri tidak termasuk dalam objek sengketa PTUN. Implikasi penelitian menegaskan perlunya sinkronisasi regulasi hukum acara PTUN dengan ketentuan MK agar tidak terjadi tumpang-tindih kewenangan antar lembaga. Rekomendasi mencakup revisi peraturan pelaksana UU PTUN untuk memperjelas ruang lingkup dan prosedur pengujian keputusan presiden. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat kepastian hukum dan efektivitas penyelesaian sengketa tata usaha negara di Indonesia.
