Correlations between the sources of guidance that managers use and the perceived effectiveness of how well these events are handled are employed to represent their schemas and attributional propensities for effectiveness. These correlations are predicted to vary in relation to dimensions of national culture. The hypotheses are tested using data from 7,701 managers. Reliance on one’s own experience and training, on formal rules and procedures and on one’s subordinates are positively correlated with perceived effectiveness globally, whereas reliance on superiors, colleagues and unwritten rules are negatively correlated with perceived effectiveness. Cross-level analyses revealed support for hypotheses specifying the ways in which each of these correlations is moderated by one or more of the dimensions of national culture first identified by Hofstede (1980). Attention is focused on the current uncertainty in the development of psychological knowledge, which is determined by the need to re-evaluate traditional ideas induced by scientific, technological and social progress. Today, an individual faces an increasing complexity of surrounding reality represented not only by the natural and social environment, but also by the increasing influence of technogenic and cyber reality. The paper articulates the impasse of deterministic and indeterministic trends in the development of psychological knowledge and proposes a movement towards cultural-dialogical interdeterminism as an alternative. The heterogeneous nature of psychological phenomenology is presented in the form of three four-dimensional continua of heteroqualitative nature. The perspective of its consideration is substantiated from the standpoint of nonlinear dynamic system approach, which allows us to consider the specificity of heterogeneity and the dynamic nature of psychological phenomenology with allocation of bifurcation points characterising the transition from one qualitative state to another. A general description of cultural-dialogical interdeterminist metatheory of psychological knowledge integration is provided, and its heuristic potential is demonstrated. The author defines the reciprocal and changing nature of human interaction with the internal and external environment, which leads to establishing a qualitative state of balance that ensures optimal interaction in a particular space-time location. The specificity of interdetermination manifests itself in the acquisition of a new quality that cannot be reduced to a simple sum of its parts. The aspect of mutual adaptation between an individual and the environment is emphasized. Mankind not only adapts to external changes, but also adapts the external environment for themselves. Attention is drawn to the fact that an ill-considered adaptation of this kind can lead to destructive consequences for one's mental activity and for their life as a whole. In the presented context, the author substantiates that psychological phenomenology should be analyzed in the context of qualitative states of balance (imbalance) of bio-psycho-socio-consciously-unconsciouslyexistential interdeterminants interacting in specific environmental settings, taking into account individual psychological characteristics of an individual performing certain activities, a combination of which provides an actual quality condition. Dialogue is defined as a mechanism for achieving balance, and conditions for its effectiveness are also determined. The paper offers examples of practical application of cultural dialogic interdeterminism.

In most areas of study now exists a plethora of theories, each with its own concepts, language, and underlying assumptions, but there is a lack of critical comparison, integration, and synthesis in this body of theory, resulting in conceptual clouding and ambiguity. Reflecting the current state of psychological knowledge, we can state the presence in it of an infinite number of local theories and empirical findings, leading to the drowning in the unlimited of disparate fragments, not accompanied by holistic understanding of the psychological phenomenology particularity as the integral reality of human existence that determines its functioning in it. In the framework of the proposed metatheoretical approach, an author's attempt to solve this fundamental problem, which is relevant for psychological knowledge development. Initially stated pluralistic character of modern psychological knowledge and its philosophical and epistemological grounds. Existing crisis debates in the psychological science (replicability, disintegration, empiricism, etc.) is considered in the context of deterministic and indeterministic directions of its development. I propose an interdeterministic alternative in psychological development and its innovative potential. The authors attempt to integrate the variety of existing psychological knowledge in the form of positioning in the heterogeneousmultidimensional-multiparadigm spaces of psychological knowledge in the form of three interconnected four-dimensional continua, allowing to integrate all the existing traditions and approaches

An argument is made for the idea of the four-dimensionality of the continuums of psychological phenomenology, of which the universal systemic foundation is culture. Heteroqualitative, multidimensional, and multiparadigm psychological knowledge is conceptualized in the form of three four-dimensional continuums. Based on the introduced principle of dialogical interdeterminism, a case is made that the interaction among their constituent structural elements is interdeterminist in character. Theoretical and empirical substantiation is presented for the innovativeness of the approach.

Based on the of the determinist and indeterminist directions analysis is proved epistemological heuristic potential of interdeterminist approach. Is articulated necessity of psychological phenomenology multydimensional consideration in the spaces of heteroqualitative natures, psychic spheres and behaviour determinants in their cultural conditionality. In accordance with introduced principle of dialogical interdeternism the process psychological phenomenology functioning is considered in the context of interdeterminist dialogical interaction. The epistemological construct “dialogical interdeterminism” is introduced. Theoretical and empirical explanations of dialogical interdeterminist meta-theoretical approach innovativeness are presented

The data are used to test the ability of cultural value dimensions derived from the work of Hofstede, Trompenaars, and Schwartz to predict the specific sources of guidance on which managers rely. Focusing on sources of guidance is expected to provide a more precise basis than do generalized measures of values for understanding the behaviors that prevail within different cultures. Values are strongly predictive of reliance on those sources of guidance that are relevant to vertical relationships within organizations. However, values are less successful in predicting reliance on peers and on more tacit sources of guidance. Explaining national differences in these neglected aspects of organizational processes will require greater sensitivity to the culture-specific contexts within which they occur.

For example, a change in a situational context leads to changes both in the person, and in his or her activity. Achievement of changes in the person and his or her activity assumes creation of the special conditions promoting to their actualization, etc. For understanding of the nature of progress in culture and science the theoretical construct "cultural-scientific tradition" is offered, allowing to trace changes in common cultural and scientific worldview throughout the human history. Consideration of personality problems is carried out in a three-dimensional continuum conscious-unconscious-existential, allowing to capture all variety of displays of psychological phenomenology. Proceeding from understanding of culture as orientational and normative structure of behaviour and as communicative matrix by means of which the behaviour is interpreted, integrated, coordinated and authorized (R. Priest), efficiency of use of the conceptual device of the epistemic approach of Michel Foucault and cultural framing of E. Goffman to understanding of intercultural interaction specificity is proved. The epistemic differences of European (graphic), Chinese, and classic Arabic languages are demonstrated. Intercultural competence is considered in aspect of ability of formation of shared meanings and experiences on the basis of mastering by knowledge about originalities of language, values and norms, experiences and behavioral algorithms of each other. The basis of such mutual understanding creates the dialogue that assumes unconditional acceptance of another based on tolerance and pluralism, the joint extension of the horizons directed on formation and development of coordinated and mutually endured values and senses. As unit of the analysis of intercultural interaction the evaluation of a sharedness of meanings and experiences is offered. Results of empirical research of the given approach on the example of formation of interpersonal mutual understanding of the Belarus and Chinese students are presented.

To date, this instrument has not been tested for its applicability and validity in Belarusian populations. To translate the English language version of the PBPI into Russian (R-PBPI) and to evaluate its reliability, validity, and factor structure. A total of 238 Belarusian patients with heterogeneous chronic pain were recruited from a neurologic outpatient clinic of a public hospital in Minsk. In addition to the pain beliefs, some the other factors such as pain catastrophizing, depression, disability, pain intensity and demographic characteristics were examined. Exploratory factor analyses, using the principal components analysis, revealed a four-factor structure for R-PBPI. Results also showed that R-PBPI has adequate internal consistency (Cronbach's αs: 0.73–0.85). The four R-PBPI scales showed significant positive correlations with DASS-d, PCS, pain intensity, and disability. Results of hierarchical multiple regression analyses showed the R-PBPI scales predicted concurrent depression (F (4, 221)=3.75, p<0.000), pain intensity (F (4, 218)=6.01, p<0.000), and pain disability (F (4, 215)=4.41, p<0.000) scores. These findings support the factorial validity of the scales of the R-PBPI as well as its reliability and construct validity. Our study support the use of the R-PBPI for clinical or research purposes identifying or evaluating pain beliefs.

The approach focuses attention on interdeteministic character of situational, personal and activity interdeterminants mutual relations of the behavior staticized in concrete historical cultural context. The cultural context is defined as universal dimension of psychological knowledge evaluation and development. Consideration of a problematic of psychological phenomenology understanding deepening is carried out in four-dimensional continuum of cultural conditionality conscious-unconscious-existential, allowing to capture all variety of its manifestations. The psychological knowledge is represented as multiparadigm. Dialogue is offered as the mechanism of a finding of psychological knowledge development new resources interparadigm. Proceeding from understanding of culture as orientational and normative structure of behaviour and as communicative matrix by means of which it is interpreted, integrated, coordinated and sanctioned (R. Are described epistemic distinctions of European (graphic), Chinese (hieroglyphic) and classical Arabian languages. Is demonstrated the role of dialogue as mechanism of multiqualitative natures and interdeterminants of behavior interaction.
