John Cocker was born to Matthew & Ann (Beswick) Cocker during the second quarter of 1852 at Royton, Oldham, Lancashire in England.
HIs mother died.
In 1861 he was aged 8 and was living with his widowed father and three siblings at 16, Holden Fold, Royton, Oldham, Lancashire.
He married Hannah Jackson on 13 April 1876 at St Thomas' church, Werneth, Lancashire.
In 1881, a carpenter & joiner employing 3 men and an apprentice, he was living with his wife and children at 14, Orchard Street, Royton
In 1901, he was boarding in Birtle cum Bamford, Bury, Lancashire.
He died age 53. His death was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1905 in Bury.
