Adding EIDR IDs

[edit]

Hello, I've noticed that you added some EIDR IDs to movie pages lately (for instance on Q3523392), and for some of them the corresponding EIDR page has a parent that should be used instead of the one you provided. This parent EIDR 10.5240/1A40-C492-E6DE-59EC-A81A-X should be used instead of this one 10.5240/914A-38CF-889A-EFB9-E473-C. Here is a list of movies for which you have added the EIDR yesterday that needed to be changed: Q3523392 Q3149754 Q7752078 Q3417405 Q3520615 Q7562326 Q5472997 Q2032599. Maybe you have an automated way (ie. script) that could follow the parent page for each ID. Thanks for your contribution Adren~frwiki (talk) 11:52, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Adding Netflix IDs

[edit]

Hello, you're adding so many Netflix IDs that do not work e.g. [1] [2] [3] [4]. Next is that you are doing constantly 25-30 edits per minute without a bot flag. Are you running a program? Regards -- Plexci (talk) 02:36, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Obviously you're running a bot without control [5] [6] [7]. --Plexci (talk) 05:25, 24 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Plexci: Hi I running pywikibot to add the ids after manual verification. Not sure why those ids are not working here are wayback machine links
  1. A Most Violent Year
  2. Bigfoot Family
  3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
  4. I Met a Girl

Adding a Ping in an existing post does not work. [8] You have to make a new entry. Running a bot without permission is not allowed. And when running a bot you should supervise his action to be able to stop it immediately when something is wrong, that the bot doesn't add errors the whole night. Here your bot made an automatic edit war. [9] After asking you on your talk page there was no reaction. In my opinion this is enough to block your account indefinate. --Plexci (talk) 17:24, 25 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@PlexciI am sorry I did not reply fast enough for you to say "there was no reaction". Also my script is run manually, I had some malformed input data which is why it I had it run multiple times. I will stop using it. Is there an alternative for adding statements? Reubot (talk) 00:16, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Plexci did you check the wayback links I posted? Can you please provide evidence that the links do not work?
Also Property:P1065 is valid as both a " as qualifier (Q54828449), as reference (Q54828450) ", Reubot (talk) 22:40, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
There is something in principle you do not understand. The property Netflix ID (P1874) is not made for use the of archive links. For example if any Wiki uses data from Wikidata by using Template:Netflix (Q47472306) it does not work, because the conversion to an archive link is not implemented. For this you would need a new property which would be able to fit with that. Here you'll find properties designed for archive links e.g. Filmfront film ID (archived) (P7975). In practice you can see in När mörkret faller (Q10605132). For some film artikels the Norwegian and other Wikis are using Template:FilmLinks (Q16873853) the get filmdata from Wikidata. And in the given example Filmfront is part of the template of the Norwegian Wiki and it works as an archive link. -- Plexci (talk) 00:42, 12 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Plexci Sorry for the late reply, but you haven't answered my question about the validity of the IDs. English Wikipedia even links to the Netflix for Bigfoot Family. Reubot (talk) 03:50, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
