The second semester was used to work on metaphorical themes developed through a method of conceptual art (PED, 2007). Thus, by perceiving images of projects of architectural masters (such as Calatrava, Lord Foster, Renzo Piano, Will Alsop, Rem Koolhaas, Shigeru Ban, Zaha Hadid, Herzog & De Meuron, etc), the framework of the projects (concepts) were extracted and developed into themes. The developed themes were not the ideas on which the masters designed the projects. For instance, the museum in Fig. 1 was perceived to have resulted from subtractions from an initial mass (cube) and Fig. 2 was alleged to have been conceived out of manipulating multiple cubes.
